Speaker 1 (00:10):
My Heart podcasts, hear more kids podcasts, playlists, and listen
live on the Free I heard.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
The Will and Woody podcast.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Pull him on the No.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
No, seriously, that's like I didn't want to have to
say this so early in the show. But if you
continue to speak French, because yes, you're doing the show
from Corsica, and we're all very happy for you, so
supportive of that, obviously.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Luck please if you could that's the name of the island,
it's not fun.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Of the least you could do is call it real name.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Well, I want I'm not even going to name that island.
I refuse to name the island because we don't need
to know about it. We don't want to hear about it.
And if you continue to speak French and talk with
a French accent, I will go over to your house,
because executive producer Joe is house sitting at your house
right now. If you continue to talk French, and every
time you do speak French, I will snap one of
your vinyls in half.

Speaker 5 (01:08):
Happy to do it.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
It would explain some activity that's going on already exactly
big house party.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Oh yeah, we weren't going to mention we had a
bit of a welcome back from holiday shindige last night.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
It was great.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Now you you didn't.

Speaker 5 (01:25):
One of three I reckon that have happened over the
last week. Yeah, yeah, that was the biggest one. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Yeah, you're there to look after my dog, not use
my house. And I know you guys are losers without
me in town.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
You haven't got any friends.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
So I had that hit close time for you because
it's very direct.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
No, it's not.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
It did hurt a little bit, but now I think
my cool, my cool status goes up there when I've
got access to your house, like no one wants to
hang out with me. But then I dropped that I've
got your house. The people come, my friend, the people come, stay.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Out of my place.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
Now, look, I what's so funny?

Speaker 1 (02:03):
What is It's just that was just quite direct, you know,
it's quite direct.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
I yes, I'm over here in Corsica for the next
only for a couple more weeks, which is a bit sad,
would happily extend. I'll talk to the brass about that.
But it's a beautiful place and I'm staying here with
my sister in law and my brother in law, and.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
They're two little kids as well. So my partner's Dutch.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
So it's great to be over here with some family,
actually really lovely. One of the complicating factors, though, that
I didn't really expect, is that my niece so naturally,
my brother and sister Laura, they both speak great English,
so I can converse with them in English. My Dutch
isn't bad, it's not amazing. But their daughter only speaks Dutch. Ah,

(02:57):
so there's a complete She obviously hasn't been raised speaking English,
so there's a complete language barrier between my niece and me.
It's just like I can talk sort of pigeon Dutch
to her.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
We get along fine.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
She she can't.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
She she can't speak any English.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
She will sorry, she's three? How many how many words
could be possibly?

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Like surely you can to do a bit of charades, man,
Like you know, need to have like in depth political
conversations with your three year old niece.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
You know how I feel about the way of the world. Mate.
They've got to learn, they've got to learn early.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
We're in France.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
I'm talking to her about the French Revolution.

Speaker 5 (03:32):
Pick it up, guys, that's.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
Class number one. So she so there's been this really
strange impasse between us, whereby I can't really.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
Talk to her.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
She just watches me. She thinks I'm fascinating because I
talk in a different language. Just know what's going on.
But the really funny thing is, and what I didn't
account for.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
Is that.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
The only thing that I get called in the house
around her, or that she sees me get called around her,
is what Max calls me. Right, and Max calls me daddy. Oh,
now this is it.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
You have to remember.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
You have to remember that daddy doesn't exist as a
word in Dutch, so she has no idea what daddy means.
So she thinks that daddy is my name.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
So she.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
So she calls me daddy every everywhere I go. You hear,
I have to figure out whether it's Max or Pippy
going mare?

Speaker 1 (04:34):
So can you walk up to your brother in law
and she she will say you.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
That is that is an exactly that is a wild
power play to do it?

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Family, dinners, just go before we continue onto the mains, Pippy,
who is your daddy?

Speaker 6 (04:54):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (04:54):
I thought i'd take some calls up next on this.
Actually thirteen one oh six five? What has a kid
called you? What nickname did you get.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
From a kid?

Speaker 4 (05:05):
What did they call you on thirteen one and six five.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
We're going to do a song. We'll do it up next.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
It's will live from Corsica.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
From La Mede to Annie.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
I just feel like, sure, I don't think shuck shugar
is a dish that is that is known to or
that came from Corsica.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
Don't know why you're talking about it?

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Sure every day each day from yeah, and.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
You see how I was confused there, will see how
I was confused there. That's everyone else in their cars
as well. So if we can just stop with the French,
that'd be highly appreciated.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
I think people loving it.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
I'm actually getting a couple of texts on the text
line will great to hear you over there and having
a great time from Gavin good On you gave appreciate
it four nine thirteen one.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
Six five It's lovely from Gap.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
Sarah's text through Sarah loving the French will your cultured Wow,
Thanks Sarah, appreciate it, uh fourteen nine thirteen one and
six five. If you love them the French in Corsica
right now though, woods I was talking about the fact
the reason I'm over here, guys in my partner's Dutch
and she I come and spend a couple of months
with her family in Europe every year, which is awesome

(06:08):
traveling with my brother in Laura and my sister in
law at the moment, they're Dutch and so they've got
kids as well, which is awesome. By the way, like
just probably one of the best things about being over
here is just saying my daughter hang out.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
With her cousins. That's really great.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
But the problem is that my niece only talks Dutch,
so she hears my daughter call me daddy, which obviously
isn't a word in Dutch, so she thinks my name
is daddy.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
It must feel amazing, it must feel extraordinary. For so
long I've wanted this entire radio team to call me daddy,
and and no one is getting on board that train.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
Well, yeah, we're just discussing that with hr behind.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
It was that is I didn't know you're in the studio.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Good voice, Joe, I'm glad voice. The reason we.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Got some phones. We've got some fons.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
Off your ding Donk and I'll get third. Six five
is the number.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
What does a kid called you? Yea? So I had
a good laugh.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Actually last night we were just before we get to
our calls here my grandpa. Sorry, my dad was over
at my house and usually my daughter, Remy calls him Grandpa.
Pretty standard name to be calling your grandfather. But he
she was hearing me refer to Dad as Steve, or
my wife was referring to Dad as Steve. So now

(07:26):
Remy exclusively calls my grandpa Steve. I had no idea
how funny it would be. Like at one point Dad
was saying, oh, there's I don't have a chocolate ball.
He wanted a chocolate ball after dinner, Remy walked over
to him, tapped him on the shoulder and said, oh,
it's okay, Steve.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
It sounds like sounds like a counselor Yeah, it's awesome,
it's so good.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
Okay, we've got Bev here now on thirteen one oh six'.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
Five.

Speaker 5 (07:59):
Bev this is something your granddaughter called.

Speaker 7 (08:02):
You all my three grandkids call me pepe. Now but
it was because when my granddaughter was, born my daughter
lived with me and every time she was passed to,
me she would do a. Pooh so my daughter would
always just, say, oh go to, Pooey go to. Pooey
but as she got, older when she started to, talk

(08:23):
it turned into. Peepee So i'm peepee to all my three.
Grandkids and she's now. Ten i've got a, ten seven
year old and three year, old and it's.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
Peepee it's beautiful.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Immature that is beautiful.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
Immature it is.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
Beautiful we probably have to start the fascinating part for me.
There i'm not sure if it s all that is
the idea that every time a child got past you
they did a?

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Pooh is? That do you know anything about why that?

Speaker 5 (08:50):
Happened?

Speaker 7 (08:51):
WHY i had no IDEA i. Did i've got her
the first time that she actually said. IT i don't.
Know she just couldn't obviously pronounce. Pooey so but she's
very embarrassed about it, now but she still calls me.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
PEEPEE i THINK i will touching on, though is the
fact that all of your grandchildren feel need to pooh
every time they're around. You that is a, compliment, though
BECAUSE i think that shows that you're a comforting energy
and then you are easing the bower. Movement my mum
famously calls her best friend every time she needs to
do a number.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
Two she she's.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
TRUE i thought we were banned from saying, that and
a go on the.

Speaker 5 (09:23):

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Gone we's got Isabel, yeah sure, mate, sure moving things. Along, Isabelle.
Isabelle what does your niece call your?

Speaker 6 (09:30):
Husband my name's, calls my husband's.

Speaker 7 (09:33):
Beers per is?

Speaker 5 (09:35):
Great is it? Obvious WHY i love?

Speaker 3 (09:38):
That how can you take your daughter to the?

Speaker 1 (09:40):
PROBLEM i am actually will That's i'm glad you brought
that up on. Radio but, yeah she's there because every time.

Speaker 4 (09:48):

loves fun for you because you're. Drinking she loves.

Speaker 1 (10:03):

the patients love.

Speaker 4 (10:10):

Home i'm live From Corsica woodrow for this edition Of Will's,
reddit and it will be a very Special corsican edition
Of Will's reddit this.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Afternoon you're gonna look forward.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
To that BEFORE i, do, THOUGH a bit of sad
news is that the Actor Sam.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Neil the news broke just.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Over an hour ago that he had actually died at
the age of seventy, eight which is really, sad and
we're just saying it's strange because a few years ago
because he had blood, cancer and then a few years
ago announced that he was cancer. Free so there is
an element of unexpectedness and sadness that comes with this

(11:54):
this as there always was going to be around his,
death but not for the reason THAT i think a
lot of people thought that he might have, died and
we all heard that he had, cancer but there's something
else going on, there which is. Tragic but, yeah seventy
eight years, old a, guy glittering career and truly like.
Iconic LIKE i said that a few, times it's rare

(12:15):
that you get someone who you AND i sit in
here and, go oh my, God Sam, neil and then
at the same, time all the little kids that produce
our show also, go oh my, god Sam, neil you,
know most recently because he was working pretty Peaky.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
Blinders so that's a lot about.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
It and my dad likes he's my dad's or was
my dad's favorite person in the world as, well so, like,
really that's just absolutely. Generational SO i said this ten minutes,
ago And i'll say it. Again everyone watched A samuel movie.
TONIGHT i Reckon it's just a great way to get get.

Speaker 5 (12:45):
Around the great. Man, yeah, yeah, yeah he was super.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
Cool, now before we go into the, NEWS i, know you,
know we're running a little bit below, guys a little
bit behind, guys SO i got to keep this.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Quick BUT i am On, corsica.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
And do you, know do you know the most famous
person to come From.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
CORSICA i don't care buzz. Him do we have a?

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Buzzer you know the rule of this game is THAT
i have a buzzer AND i have no.

Speaker 5 (13:07):
Interval it's a cool, person don't, COME i Don't napoleon
came From. Corsica.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
Person, Yes Ridley scott just made a movie about. Him,
obviously he was the emperor of.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
The world for a very long. TIME i thought what.

Speaker 7 (13:24):
That.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
WAS i think, APPROPRIATE i think appropriate that.

Speaker 5 (13:29):
Big but you.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Want to hear this.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
Everyone napoleon was a very very angry.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Guy right.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
NOW i found out two things About napoleon THAT i
thought you'd.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
Like first of, all.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
His wife hated.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Him hated.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
HIM i thought he was a little, bitch which he,
was and she didn't have any, teeth so she never
smiled at.

Speaker 8 (13:49):
Him.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Yeah, wow that's the first effect of.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
Him, Yeah josephine.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
Name she, actually funnily, enough came from a sugar cane.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
Farm had too much.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
Sugar the second thing About, napoleon WHICH i thought you'd
find very, interesting apparently everyone knows he was very very,
irritable very very annoying. Guy and apparently one of the
reasons was is because he once put on these gloves
while he was Doing he was an artillery, captain, right
so he was often in.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
Charge he was in charge of firing big.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
Guns he put he once as a show of, like,
GUYS i can work on the front, line like step, ASIDE.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
I don't know HOW i know What i'm doing.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
Here he grabbed one of his artilleryman's gloves and he
put them, on, right and, he you, know fired the,
guns and he's, Like i'm leading at the front.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Line check me. Out.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
Anyway it turns out the guy whose gloves he put
on had, scabies.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Which he never got rid.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
Of he was perpetually itchy his whole his whole, life
and that's apparently why he was so.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Annoyed amazing his wife never smiled at.

Speaker 5 (14:52):
Him and he was scratching.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
Himself it's well and, wood he wheel's.

Speaker 4 (15:08):

Speaker 5 (17:39):
Underground you know the corner you're going.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Anyway, Look I'm i'm your manager And i'm taking control
of this. One i'm taking the reins of this. One
you're doing this While i'm.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Away you're doing? This what you're doing this While i'm?
Away are?

Speaker 5 (17:53):
YOU i see what you're.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
Doing there's a hate That i'm. Away there's a little
bait That i'm. Away you hate, it and this is.
Vindictive it's not.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
Vindictive i'm being supportive OF i think a craft that
you have honed over hours and. Hours, Mate when you
have GOT dj dex built into your, kitchen you, Know
i've heard people say selfish and the most outrageous thing
to do when you've got a family of four to
use an entire draw FOR dj decks to play your own,

(18:20):
underground outrageous, music when you've got kids that want to
listen to The wiggles And. Bloye i've heard all of
those criticisms And i've never bought into. IT i love, it,
Mate you've got a dream and it's to be the
world's BEST.

Speaker 5 (18:31):
Dj and it is about time that you had a national.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Tour and just in case people are worried about how
good that craft, is you have done an international, gig
which YES i did organize for. YOU i flew To,
bali you. DID i got your a sunset gig In.
Bali finally we're bringing it back To. Australia we once
did caravan parks In Western, australia but that was you,
know that was, underground that was low.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
Five this is going to be.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Big so the great news for everyone listening is THAT
i am currently looking for. Venues so so if you
want to get the jump on anyone who can call right,
now go along To willmwoody dot com hit win and

(19:15):
you'll be able to register there For will's NATIONAL dj.
TOUR i just want to hear the event that you've
got going on where you Think will could be a
great main.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
Act and right Now will thirteen one oh six five
is the. Number.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
No in the next, month have you got an event
just to SHOW i, think just to prove to you as, well,
mate there is some high demand out there to get
those magic fingers.

Speaker 5 (19:42):
Spinning some vinyl or whatever it is you do up.

Speaker 4 (19:44):
There you don't don't talk.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
Shop he can twist, buttons my, friends he can, talk
he can twist. Buttons he can he can beat. Match
i've never SEEN i have never seen anyone beat.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
Match the way that we can. Match making it sound, bad,
no do you make any sound?

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Bad?

Speaker 4 (20:00):
No because if we're saying to people to register At
willumwoody dot com for me to play at their, gig
the manager can't be saying he can twist knobs and beat.

Speaker 5 (20:09):
Match that's. Fair that's, fair that's.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
Fair not that's just that's a given THAT i can beat,
match because If i'm actually doing, THIS i actually want
to be playing at some places THAT i THAT i
want to play, at and you've automatically just killed a
lot of good.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Places, well thank you for. That that's, good that's good
feedback for the manager to. Hear BUT i Think i'm
going to make a huge redemption right. Now thirteen one
