them tonight in Melbourne.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
This this song has gone viral recently.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Kelly Holiday, Adam Hyde in the studio.
Speaker 4 (00:30):
Great to have you here. Thank you for having me.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
It's a pleasure I message you that I said, it's
just been such a treat to.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Backing ounce got our show as.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Well, which you know, we get all the TikTok trends,
we get all the artists that the music.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Labels are pushing.
Speaker 5 (00:45):
We get you.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Yeah, because we've known you for for so long now
and to have this being what it is, which is
a phenomenon now like it's huge.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
I was reading before.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
It's number one on the TikTok viral chart, top thirty
on Shazam as well.
Speaker 6 (00:58):
Yeah, it's gone on. I mean, it's you know, it's
nice when I got that message from you. I mean,
I've known you boys for a while in many iterations
of all of our lives. You know, you just had
your second kid, congratulations. You know we've we've had some
nights together and like it's a real moment. It's a
strange moment, but a beautiful moment to see a song
connect heart to heart and this project connect Heart to Heart. Yea,
(01:18):
from a shiny white screen to real life. You know
it's been insane, but when you send me that message,
it brought it to you to my eye because it
was you guys together are so sweet. You know you
really are about what you're about. And I think given
people flowers is so sick. And when I got those flowers,
I was like, oh, that means a lot, So thank you.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
I'm you know, jazz to be here.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Pleasure, man, it's an absolute pleasure.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
I actually got some audio of you Adam just talking
about So when the song went, I believe number one
on the Aria, I was at a singles chart.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
Yeah, you received that in the mail.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
The first time in my life. I'm proud of myself.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
I mean that's equal part's beautiful but also heartbreak into you. Yeah, like,
why is that the first moment that you.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
See you guys are good?
Speaker 6 (02:07):
I see that like it's funny because that made Abby
weep and because she knows it's true. I grew up
in a town called Camera, which I love. There were
so many moments to kind of reaffirm that I didn't
belong per se within a system, you know, like my
music teacher kicked me out and was like you never
do anything, And through that it was a bit of
(02:28):
a waterfall effect. I was like, well, authority is against me,
so let's go against them, and not in a rebellious fashion,
more so just like, well, I'm not going to go
to school and I'm not going to put in work.
Why would I if they're not putting in work with me?
And I kind of had, I guess a bit of
a brady attitude towards that, and then that went on
and on to the point where I was like, well,
(02:48):
anything I do from here it's not going to be
worth anything normal it validate. Through the process of Kelly Holiday,
I've really learned to trust myself and my instincts and
know that that is good enough to you know, your
best is more than good enough. But for years I
was convinced, you know, whatever you do will always be
for lack of a better word, shit kicker material. And like,
(03:10):
in a way, I'm grateful for that because I wouldn't
be where I am without that mentality. You know, and
school was crazy for me, Like school was just treacherous
dot com forward slash clowntown, and.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Like the music reaction for your music teacher kicking you
out of music. That was across the board with all school.
Speaker 6 (03:30):
Yeah, with all school until college in Camber, which is
year eleven and twelve, I was rapping, but more so
I was making beats for a crew of rappers that
were a rambunctious bunch to say the least.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
But there was a music teacher there called.
Speaker 6 (03:41):
John Tucker, who I really want to shout out, and
he saw something. I don't know what it was, but
he said, don't tell anyone, but you can use the
music room. He's like, I know, you boys aren't coming
to classes. You're not going any classes except for music. Yeah,
you can go and you can use it at these times.
I won't tell anyone.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
So we go in there.
Speaker 6 (03:58):
We go in there and he lets record beats and raps,
and then we started doing band stuff.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
Anyway, long story short.
Speaker 6 (04:05):
Then I kind of got a glimmer of hope of like,
if it weren't for him, I wouldn't be in here
right now.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
For sure. I'd probably be in jail or something stupid.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
Have you seen him? Like, when's the last time you
saw him?
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Haven't?
Speaker 6 (04:13):
And I want to get in touch with him because
he like It really shows the polarity of that situation,
right Like one teacher told me this and I believed it. Yeah,
And then another teacher gave me a glimmer and I thought, well,
there's a glimmer of something.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
Yeah, And it shows that when you're young, you know,
you're so impressionable.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
These things do have a real power.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Yeah, people like that, even if you dislike you, even
if you don't respect them, they're older than you. You're
looking for something. I literally had this chat with a
friend of mine who's a music the other day. It
doesn't matter what you're doing for you on this thing
right now, when you're like that age, like sixteen seventeen,
you just want one person, just one person, just to
be like, so you need you know what, like, like
you go, it's okay, what you want to do, whatever
(04:53):
you want to do is all.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Right, yeah, and just give it a try. And the
world's not going to turn against you if you do.
Speaker 6 (04:58):
It's funny too, because we're all messed up, you know,
to some degree, some worse than others. And I think,
you know, that's normal. It's normal to be a bit
messed up from childhood or from whatever.
Speaker 4 (05:06):
You know, we go through things. That's life.
Speaker 6 (05:08):
But it's funny, you know, I'm thirty four years old now,
you know, it's only been recently and I really want
to thank my girlfriend Abby for this. She's really shown
me through the magic that only someone that you love
can to be yourself and lean into yourself because yourself
is there's no one else.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
But you that can do what you do, you know,
And like that's so.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Powerful, very powerful. That's a great message.
Speaker 6 (05:32):
And like there wasn't a clicking moment, but it just
kind of slowly set in. It's interesting because I carry
that from when I was young buck through till thirty
four years old. Yeah, you know, and that's some real shit.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
It's a long time.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
It's a long time.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
Well the song, I know, the song was inspired by
her dancing too. Yeah, why don't we give it a play?
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Do you want to do? You want to do? Want
to announce your own song? Commercial radio?
Speaker 4 (05:53):
Go for it. I'd love to get out today. It's
Kelly Holiday here. You're with willing Woody.
Speaker 6 (05:59):
You're on Kiss and this is my song dancing to
turn it up until the speakers blow or almost blow
so you can hear the song.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Well, you don't know this yet, but I'm going to
hand over to Woods for what that song means to
him right now.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
So so you don't know this, but you were a
massive factor for me and my wife Mim in the
birth suite of our second baby.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Mim was at a stage where she was just about
to go to push phase.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
They call these.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Moments turning points where you think you can't do it,
like you're done, you really don't think you're going to
get through it to the birth of the baby.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
Dancing Too came on.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
It rocked the birth suite and it was like this
beautiful moment between me and Mim, and it was a
moment it which brought a smile to her face. Cry like,
That's why I really wanted to tell you that, because
music's not just about the success that Dancing Two's had.
Speaker 5 (06:48):
It took Mim and I to a really happy place.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
I saw her smile and then the midwife started dancing
as well, and then I just wanted to like, thank
you to your face.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
So beautiful, you really helped.
Speaker 6 (06:59):
That's so beautiful man birth congratulations most of all. But wow,
oh that's got me. That's got me. That's uh, that's
I mean, it's funny. It's also kind of comical because
you hear that song and it is kind of like, yeah,
like you're getting to a climax because it is kind
of like labor. The song itself, well, you know, I've
(07:20):
heard crazy stories that people have applied that song to.
Is the soundtrack. I kicked the ball at me and
Abby kicked the ball. I was like, hey, here's the
story of the song, and that's the legitimate story of
the song, and that connected heart to heart and then
out of nowhere. I remember opening my phone one morning.
I thought it was glitching on TikTok because it was
the songs I.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
Was dancing, You were dancing. I was like, what's going on?
Speaker 6 (07:43):
And people just started applying it to their union, their
love with their partner, and then it went to people
that were beating cancer, and then it went to people
having babies, and then it went to nature.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
But I mean, so can I So you finding out
that dancing too was a TikTok trend with you opening
your own TikTok and scrolling yeah, and.
Speaker 6 (08:03):
Just yeah, I thought it was like a glitch because
I looked and I was like, oh, there's this many
uses of the song, what's going on?
Speaker 4 (08:10):
And I went through them. It was bizarre. But it
also shows them.
Speaker 6 (08:15):
You know, every artist in this day and age, whether
they admit it or not, that's what they want, of course,
and I wish that we all knew how to get
that happening, because we'd all go there more often.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
You can't orchestrate, and that can't be that can't be
the reason, the reason.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
Why you create it, and it can't be orchestrated. I've
met up with.
Speaker 6 (08:32):
A lot of people that have posted these videos and
brought them on stage, people that are battling illness. And
I went to a dog shelter in Melbourne actual, which
just fun done some crazy things. But I haven't heard
something like that, like that's real. So thank you for
telling me that, because I mean, bringing life into the
world is one thing, you know, like, but I can't
imagine what it would be like to be in there
(08:53):
around that, seeing your wife deliver new life. That's that's
something that I know nothing of.
Speaker 5 (08:58):
Yeah, couldn't have come on at a better time.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Yeah, The smile on and she was like and we
was like, we're going to do this, and then we
were rocking. It was like and I looked up and
the Midwives are going, like the whole room was on
this synergy.
Speaker 6 (09:13):
It was just, well, I feel like, you know, wherever
that song goes or what it does now, it was
worth it all for that. That's really really specially cool.
It's really really beautiful.
Speaker 5 (09:21):
Now You're also on my wedding day. So get this.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
I was in the car, Yeah, the way to my
wedding ceremony. This is crazy. You've been at like these
really important moments of my life.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
But I'm like the little little angel hanging out.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
But I'm on the way to my wedding and I was.
You saw me, and I was really nervous. I didn't
expect myself to get so nervous for my wedding day. Anyway,
Will and I checked on online Jesus.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
There we go.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
I know this isn't what I should be taking from
the song, but I was like, yeah, I can be
online Jesus for the day.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
It's an instant confidence. Yeah, we spoke about that song.
Will was it.
Speaker 6 (10:02):
He came to a show. I was supporting Alex Cameron.
I think you heard the song before it came out
and you were like, dude, what's that song?
Speaker 4 (10:09):
Jesus Man? Yeah, yeah, online Jesus.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Something in that.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
Yeah, there's something there. But it's funny.
Speaker 6 (10:17):
I've had a few people hit me up and be
like dude when I'm feeling a bit like because it's
like it's the ultimate mistake of like, yeah, we could
all just be Jesus for a moment.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
Why not? Why not? Yeah? You know who's to say
we can't?
Speaker 5 (10:31):
And I was I was Jesus for a day.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
Maybe.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
We're so happy for you. It's so good to see you. Congratulations.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
I know you're going to be performing at the Arias
as well.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
We're going to be announcing something special.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
There is a new record coming as well. I should
mention Capital Fiction February is out and we're.
Speaker 6 (10:50):
Going to be announcing some some very funny clues on Monday.
Speaker 3 (10:54):

see you mate thinks.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
So it's a pleasure love them
