(00:51):
The Lions are on the cusp of being the new
team there. You know, the Lions might be a Super
Bowl team. I told you before the season started the
Lions were going to Bud You still trust shared goff
eight seven ninety nine. The Lions lead the Raiders twenty
six to fourteen, five and a half to go in
the game. They have second goal. Hey, Craig Reynolds, touchdown

(01:15):
was just called back for a hold holding call on
Skipper that brings it back. We got the longest look
at an offensive line coach I think that we've had
in recent memory, as they showed Hank's day stalking the sideline.
A little salty that the hold was called. But yeah,
the Lions get the ball in great field position after

(01:35):
Jimmy Garoppolo takes yet another sack. Are you protecting your
quarterback rating? At some point, get rid of the damn
ball you're looting would be tacklers, and then you still
take the sack. Get rid of the damn ball instead.
A couple of big plays, you know, double digit yardage
on the first two plays of the drive and now

(01:57):
third in goal as we get up inside five minutes
left in the game. But just remember when tomorrow you
hear about they wait a minute, make room for the
lines at the top of the NFL. We told you
before the season, I told you the Lions going to
the Super Bowl, their offenses loaded. They're even better than
I thought they would be, hitting the midway point at
six and two, most likely better than I thought I

(02:20):
thought they'd be a five hundred team, A fun five
hundred team, but they'd really pick it up second half
of the season. But instead guys like Jamior Gibbs, who's
having an incredible night tonight. Yeah, Sam Laportam, who's the
best young tight end in the NFL. These guys have
come in like blazing and so now here they are
middle of the season, and with everybody losing yesterday, you
clearly see that, Hey, the Niners have problems. The Eagles

(02:44):
look bored and they turn the ball over a lot.
The Dolphins get beatable issues they need to fix in
that secondary. Right, the Dolphins are beatable. The Chiefs certainly
are beatable. They need a wide receiver tomorrow. They should
be making a big trade. Why not the Lions. You're
gonna see the why not the Lions? And hey, hey,
why not the Lions? Their offense is humming better than
almost every team. They're gonna kick a field goal here

(03:05):
to go up twenty nine to fourteen with five minutes
left to go, and they are five minutes away from
being six and two, and suddenly, whoa woo woo. Maybe
the road to the super Bowl goes through Ford Field.
Just think about that. Look at you. The road to
the super Bowl goal through forth get ready, get ready
to say it. And just as I say that, they
miss a twenty six yard field goal.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Well.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Too close, you know, you know man, twenty six? Yeah,
now you opened up the door for them to fail.
Where's jameson what you did? Where's Jason Hanson when you
need him? Come on, man, he's got to be like
sixty five years old, get him out there. He kicked
retirement when older. Now let's go. Jason Hanson kicked for
like twenty years with the line. I'll tell you what.
Kicking in the NFL disastrous. But I'm talked about the

(03:52):
flags earlier with the I'm gonna throw it and then
I'm gonna pick it up and I'm gonna look at
my guy down the line. Are you sure? Are you sure?
I'll get picking up? But you're right. The Lions as
we sit right now, because I think every one of
these teams needs to at least be on the phone
trying to do some tinkering. Right. We've watched it with
the forty nine ers, there have been rumors about what

(04:12):
they need to do. Even before Joe Burrow and the
Bengals had their way with the defense. Even before that,
rumors of hey, we need another guy up front alongside Bosa,
and we need someone on the back end. So that's
already been in motion and they need to find out
all right, Williams, Look, you're not replacing a Trent Williams,
but is there anything you can do there? Not to

(04:33):
mention the fact that you have Deebo Samuel being out
really changes some of the way that offense works together.
As well. For the Eagles, they need a little help
in the secondary. They already brought in Byered. Remember the
AJ Brown said, hey, welcome to a winner. So you
got that mixed in. But you've seen the last couple

(04:55):
of weeks. You can move on them, right, You can
put up some points. So I want to squash that
a bit. As it were. The South is a mess,
the West is interesting. I'll be curious. Seattle's gonna be buyers.
They're gonna go and make another play, right bringing in
Williams today well, and now with the you know, forty
nine ers soft underbelly exposed, perhaps they move in for

(05:17):
the kill Schneider and Pete Carroll. But yeah, your Detroit
Lions will be the talk of everybody tomorrow. As you've
been leading that parade. You and Taylor Lions, Lions, Lions, Lions, Lions, Lions.
At the end of last year, right watching the offense
start to come together, and there's still questions about Jared

(05:40):
gov I would offer this, you know, when we're talking
about teams making acquisitions and making big moves, as we
watch a ball far harmlessly in complete, David Mountgummery is
gonna come back into that offense, and having him and
Gibbs is a one and two. It's gonna help to
mitigate the number of impossible mistakes from Jared Goff. And

(06:03):
that's good for you and your Lions. I'm telling you, man,
the Lions are loaded. I've told you from the beginning,
and when you hear it tomorrow, you're gonna remember that
we told you, and I picked the lines in the preseason.
You could tell the lie ahead of the curve. That's
why we call the show ahead of the curve. Dan Campbell,
the players believe in him. He's turned Jared Goff into
an MVP candidate. The Lions offense may be the most

(06:24):
dangerous offense in the NFC, certainly the outside of the Dolphins.
I don't know that I take another offense with this.
There's so many weapons. I mean, they haven't even gotten
anything from Jamison Williams yet. This guy. I mean, at
some point you got to say, oh, is the guy
really gonna break through? Because you know, yes, he was hurt,
but now he's come back and out. You know, he's
getting like nine snaps a game. But it doesn't matter

(06:45):
because Sam laport has become the best rookie tight end right,
and del cacad is starting to break out a little bit.
But Sam Laporta clearly from the beginning, has jumped right
into this offense, right, And it doesn't matter because Josh
Reynolds catches passes when I'm on Ross, Saint Brown is out,
and it makes no difference who is in This team
continues to roll.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Right.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
If Jamier Gibbs wasn't doing what he was doing tonight,
David Montgomery, if he was healthy, would be doing the
exact same thing. Well, you could impose your will. I
mean we did see that on tape with the Bears
last week of you could run over the Raiders, right,
we watched it from Deontay Foreman, who had a massive
game and Darrington Evans was essentially out of the league.

(07:24):
He came back in and they both ran amuck against
the Raiders, So being able to do power running and
make plays no surprise whatsoever. But yeah, they're set up
really nicely right now health wise. You know, they've got
their squad together. Jamison Williams, you know, he even got
a gift. Remember they cut his suspension down a game

(07:46):
to let him come back, and he still hasn't been
able to reintegrate properly. So if that is a weapon
that eventually becomes something that you just have four or
five plays that are designed to get him the ball,
it's another option as yet untapped. We're in the final stretch.
You get tickets to horse racing's biggest moment of the year.
The world's best are headed to San Anita for the

(08:07):
Breeders Cup World Championships this week November third and fourth,
So the countdown begins now. Get your tickets today at
Breeders Cup dot com. Bet Johnson for President. We'll have
more in the NFL game coming up a little bit,
and the Lions looking getting closer and closer to the
Super Bowl, and maybe after what we just saw, DeVante
Adams is closer and closer being traded. But it's week eight.

(08:28):
Man but ye, super Bowl. But World Series Game three
is in the books. The Rangers beat the Diamondbacks by
the final of three to one. Uh. They take a
two games to one lead in the World Series. So
now you know it at worst for Texas the series.
We'll go back there and Arizona really asked questions after

(08:49):
an incredible game pitch by the Rangers tonight. Look it
was you look not like the only we had a
bad game from the Diamondbacks because fought pitched pretty well, right,
he had a he had a pretty close to a
quality start. But with the Rangers Max Scherzer going out
after three innings, John Gray comes in no runs for

(09:09):
three innings, the bullpen takes care of it. That's an
unexpected boost that you got from the Rangers, who was
probably saying, oh man, here goes Schurezer. But this game
is as we talked about this series, as we talked
about it's an NBA Jam World Series. Each team has
two elite players and they each bat in the top
three of the lineup. The Rangers have Seeger and Garcia

(09:32):
and the Diamondbacks have Corbyn Carrol and Kettle Marte. And
you can see in all three games who wins. Whoever's
NBA Jam team has a better game, And tonight Garcia
and Sager were better. Why because Corey Sager had a
two run homer and for the Diamondbacks, their duo of
Marte and Carrol not as good, combined one for six.

(09:53):
Carrol strikes out for a huge out in the eighth
inning off of Eraaldas Chapman on an off speed pitch
where the first two bat as have gotten on base,
they got to run, they were looking to rally and
Corbyn Carrol strikes out for the first out of the inning,
taking a lot of air out of the balloon. But
that's really what it is. It's an NBA Jam World Series,
and it's the two best players on the Diamondbacks and
the two best players on the Rangers, and everybody else

(10:14):
are a bunch of guys. There are a bunch of
guys filling in now. The one caveat to this is
what's going to happen with the Rangers with a Dolus
Garcia because he left the game in the eighth inning
with a strained left o bleak, flew out, started to
run down to first base, stopped running, looked like grabbed
his left side. He comes out with a strained o bleak,

(10:37):
and now his status for the rest of the World
Series who knows. So if you're taking the NBA jam out,
you're not gonna tell me that Corey Seeger. You're gonna
sit back and go, Okay, Well, it's gonna be gonna
be Sieger and Marcus Simeon. No, No, it's gonna be
Seger and Garver. No, it's gonna be That's a huge,
huge blow because you're talking about a guy who is
super human so far in the playoffs, who you're counting

(10:58):
on every time he comes up to hit home run
and chances and generally he does that. If they're missing him,
that flips the World Series. Even though the Rangers sit
here with a two games to one lead after winning tonight,
that is a huge There's not anybody that could get
hurt that would have a bigger impact on the World Series.
So while it's NBA JAM, it could be NBA JAM
minus one. Well, now we get to see the old

(11:21):
next man up who can find a space because we're
always looking for unexpected heroes in these moments, right, isn't
that what we always talk about October and special moments? Well,
here you go, guys, here's your opportunity. Corey Seger did
his job, he hit the two run home run and
continues his great play. And now with Garcia, I mean

(11:41):
that's a tough one because I mean that could be
day to day, that's pain tolerance, that could be one
that all of a sudden, your just operation shut down.
So we have no knowledge at this point. I haven't
seen any updates as to how he's feeling, what kind
of care he's getting in the moment. But certainly the
way the schedule is, I mean there's no days off, right,

(12:02):
you got to get right back at it. So curiosity,
I mean it would favor as we've talked about with
the series in general. Right, you take the giant hitter
that Garcia is out of the lineup, and we've watched
with the the Diamondbacks, one of their hallmarks is they're
able to generate runs, right getting active on the bass paths.

(12:23):
Of course, you got to get on the base paths
to do that, which they they didn't do a very
good job after sures are left today all respect over
the weekend right game, we didn't get to break down
on air Merril Kelly with that monster f like he
gets a special prize just for going seven innings. Again.
I don't know what it is, like a sandwich or something,
but the fact that he was a throwback to pitchers

(12:46):
of yesteryear well seven inning outing, but good for him,
and especially tonight where I say to myself, am I
ever gonna expect Max schurz Or to pitch more than
three innings in the game ever? Again? Right? I got
to look, I told you when the Mets signed it, right,
because plays into the World Series. They signed him to
do a three year contract. The first year was going
to be the best, the second year was gonna be

(13:06):
not as good as the first, and the third year
was going to be not as good as the second.
So it's kind of like the Hunger Games movies, where
the first one was the best, the second one was
almost as good as the first, the third one was
almost as good as a second. Right, That's what Max
Scherzer was because as it gets, as he gets older,
he was gonna have this brisk yest year the first year.
Then he's gonna be injury ineffective. And that's exactly what
happened this year. And at this point now, if he

(13:27):
goes two innings, that's what I'm expecting. He went three
innings tonight. I'm like, Okay, he honestly went longer than
I expected. I said, how long until he goes out tonight?
I'm saying, bag, does he make it two innings? Does
he make it? Does he make it open for three
and three? Yeah? I mean that's really I mean, it's
it's that's where you're at now with Max Scherzer, and
now you're you're locked into him again for next year,
but right now you don't care because you are two
wins away from winning the World Series. But that's Max.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Sure.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Yeah, Now it's just a gluestion of what you can
cobble together. You know, Garcia's loss obviously huge on that end,
but I mean he only he's only gonna bat four
times a game, right, changes how you you structure and
ponder your pitching matchups and whatever. I get that, But
really it's coming down to bullpen management as we go
forward here for the Rangers, and can you get efforts

(14:11):
similar to what you had here? Right? You give up
one run, Chapman gives up one in his inning that
he worked today, but otherwise you know you had to
navigate through, and they did a good job with four pitchers,
including Chapman after Surezer had to leave the game. Can
you count on that, you know, some of it is
gets into that matchup advantage and where baseball is in

(14:32):
twenty twenty three. Well, for Bruce Bochi and company, the gut,
the feel, the old school management of a squad. We'll
see what he's able to work into some magic here.
Can you get and coax a couple extra innings out
of your game? For starter? Because we're already talking about
bullpen games in the World Series. I don't know that
that's ever gonna sit right with me psychologically, that we're

(14:54):
all right, we're in the we're in for all the marbles.
Who's that Game four start? I'm determined reliever it gets
we got six guys, we got six guys that we're
gonna have door. Well that look, that's that's the World
Series has become. It's become a baseball war of attrition.
Who can who can survive the longest? Right cause you can't.
You can't put those starters out there anymore. It's gonna
be okay Game one, You're gonna get to the point

(15:16):
where both game one of the World Series. Are gonna
be are gonna be bullpen game? I just sounds so
old when I'm talking about it that way, but it's
it's reality. So like Merril Kelly on Saturday night, we
were out at dinner and we're watching watching the game,
and they're like, you just seem so fascinated with the guy,
Like he's working into the sixth. This is a big deal.
And like my brothers, you know, huge baseball fans, we

(15:38):
live and die, uh mostly die with the White Sox
year after here with their hundred losses at all. But
when you have quality starting pitching, because we just commemorated
right the anniversary of the run they had no five
where you had starting pitching, just dominate your bullpen. Yeah,
Bobby jank showed up or whatever, but for the most part,
you were getting eight innings out of those starters, and
there were multiples. There wasn't one guy doing it three

(16:00):
times like no run through the Astros. It's like four
guys giving you complete games. So watching now where it's like,
is the guy get even gonna get to the sixth?
I don't know, they're due up third in the inning.
Is a guy he would be facing for the third time.
We can't let that happen, So good for you, Meryl Kelly,
you're still down to one twitter at how about a

Well have more on the Lions, so I'm never paying
for a drink in Detroit again. Named Lions super Bowl,
Lion super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
I mean, you gotta worry about teams like Baltimore and
stuff kicking your ass. But beyond that, yeah, yeah I can.
And it doesn't matter that I say, hey, Michigan's gonna
wind up getting ruled ineligible from the Big ten train.
They don't care. I picked the lines for the Super Bowl,
and look how good they are. I'm never I'm good.
I would land there and go there, he is seat seven.
F Let's get the throne, put him on a throne.
Let's carry him out, and they would carry me out,

(18:26):
and I would say, yes, yes, wonderful people. Oh sure, yeah,
well no, no, no, I don't like Why would I want
grapes like chocolate and stuff and yeah, yeah, yeah sure,
but that yeah, don't you like grape? I take the bite.
Everybody start helting you with Hershey's kisses, so while even kisses,

(18:49):
eleven kisses. So while that is going on for the Lions,
my lion, super Bowl Lions, because tomorrow you're gonna say,
you know, I could, I could make a case for
the Lions for the Super Bowl. Remember in the offseason,
I told you Lions the flip side of Monday Night Football.
The Raiders, Oh boy, fourth quarter of this game. Look,

(19:09):
it was an awful game for the Raiders, and it
was I guess maybe it's a game if you're gonna lose,
it's a game you want to have right before the deadline,
because wows it looked like you guys think no, if
you're gonna fail, fail spectacularly, lose to the Bears and
get run over by the Bears and then come back
and put this effort up on a Monday night. Davante
Adams had one catch going into the fourth quarter. Jacoby

(19:32):
Meyers had none. And in the fourth quarter, when it
was still somewhat of a game, the Lions were trying
to protect a two score lead. Jimmy Garoppolo, who got
hit a lot right, got hit a lot in the pocket.
He got hit a lot twice, had DeVante Adams wide
open for fifty plus yard touchdowns. He had him open

(19:53):
for an eighty yard touchdown and threw the ball out
of bounds, and then had him open for a sixty
yard touchdown and overthrew him and the Lions wind up
coming onto the field to run the last series. The
game is over. Deavonte Adams comes off the field. He
takes off his helmet, he slams it to the ground.
He sits down on the bench. He turns around and says,

(20:16):
unblanken blankety blankety blanking like nobody comes over to talk
to him. No one comes over to calm him down.
He's blankety blankety like he is all spread out like
me in a movie theater in the middle of the day. Hey,
no one Sinaia. I got my arms out over these
chairs right here. I got my feet over the seats
in front of me. He has spread out. No one
is there, Joe Douglas or anybody else in need of

(20:38):
a receiver. Call the raiders now, Call him now while
they're all answering questions and you don't have to worry
about them flying back to Las Vegas and they're unreachable
because they're on a plane for the next two hours.
Call them now. You can get Devonte Adams. He will say,
I want out. This isn't working. Those two plays the
frustration that you have seen for him all season long.

(21:01):
He has just not been a part of this offense.
And I'm not saying that, hey, these two plays to
night of the reason, but these are the cherry on
top of the Sunday for Davonte Adams. It's just not worked.
And he's talked about being unhappy before all these lungs says,
I want to win. I want to win. Whatever is
frustration is. Anytime we're save his best friend, anytime receiver

(21:21):
says I just want to win, it's no, you want
the football, let's just be on you want the football, Yes,
you want to win up Keyshawn's book can be done.
You want to win, but you also want the football,
and that's the most important. You gotta get it because
receivers are generally happy when they get the football, winning
or losing. But he's not getting the football and the
team is not winning. So if you need a wide receiver,
Davonte Adams is eminently available because you know, if you're

(21:43):
the Raiders, the season's done now. You know you're not good.
You're not even as good as the Broncos who finally
won a decent game yesterday. You know you're starting over
at quarterback in the offseason. You know you'd love to
be out from under the money you're giving Davonte Adams.
So when someone calls or I'm make phone calls, going, hey,
second round, in the fifth whatever, it's gonna be for

(22:04):
Devonte Adams. And if I'm the Jets, I make that
call because they need they don't need anything more. They
they need a quarterback, but they don't need anything more
than another wide receiver. We'll get to that. But if
you are the Raider, you are another team and you
need a wide receiver. He is a superstar. Call him
to go get him, but especially the Jets. Not because
I'm a Jet fan, but because, well, you know who
you had great success with, and you know it's gonna

(22:26):
be the quarterback in a few weeks when a superhuman
recovery from Achilles comes out. Hey, it's gonna be old friend,
Aaron Rodgers. Go get Devonte Adams. Even if another team
jumps in front of the Jets, I won't be that upset,
and I'll be tredibly upset, but at least the right
thing will have been done. The Raiders need to start over,
and Devant Adams is not a big part of this team.
He's not happy. How do you go forward with unhappy players?

(22:48):
Get out from under the money you're paying him because
it's not worth it. I know you get a lot
of draft capital to get it, but it happened some costs. Baby,
The money is more important. The money is more important
to move on from so you can attract people. And
like I said, next year again, you're starting over a quarterback.
You really think Davanta Adams wants to show up? Hey,
I'm okay with starting over quarterback with Drake May. Yeah, sure,

(23:08):
come on it. Yeah, I'm okay. I'm thirty one years old.
I got nothing but time left. I can worry about
this guy. No, the Raiders. This should be the guy.
If there's anybody to be traded tomorrow, any star player,
the biggest thing to be traded tomorrow, it should be
DeVonta Adams. Yeah, I want to know if he cracked
that helmet in half. How good is that seal up there? Boy?

(23:29):
That was something. But there's two plays that are being
dissected quite a bit. The would be missus from Jimmy Garoppolo. Obviously,
we saw the one late that he laid it out
and just overshot him, and that's the one where Adams
loses his mind on the end of that play to
the bench and everything else. The other is from a

(23:51):
ball that Garoppolo throws from his own end zone about
to get drilled in the ribs, you know again, and
so he fired it down the sideline. Yes, Adams was
open ball sales harmlessly out of bounds, and folks are
picking that up as another big play and a big
miss like that's a really hard throw. Nothing you don't

(24:12):
want your quarterback to make it. And obviously the spotlight
is on Adams because of the fact that he has
been disgruntled. What I really want to know is more details.
Tom Pellisero gave us the gift yesterday while I was
on air with Bucky Brooks on Fox Football Sunday and
the airing of the grievance meeting that the Raiders had

(24:33):
allegedly on Thursday where anybody, anybody could get up and
say what they needed to, and Adams was among the speakers.
Pointed out him, Max Crosby, Josh Jacobs, some of the veterans,
and then a number of other players allegedly spoke, Yeah,
that's the thing to bring the team together after humiliating

(24:54):
like this is night one the Bulls having a team meeting,
Like is this really gonna help? Josh McDaniel's the guy
that you want to go and say, you know what,
everybody's now, just say what you need to. Let's get
it out there. That's gonna help us going into Detroit
where they're frothing at the mouth at the opportunity to
host a Monday night football game. They're frothing at the

(25:15):
mouth to get the taste of that beatdown that they
absorbed from the Baltimore Ravens out of their mouth. Yeah, Yeah,
that's what we want to do. Let's fire everybody up there,
because that's gonna be constructive and helpful to a warm,
concerted effort. Oh, by the way, Jimmy g's bag. You
see Jimmy's get a quarterback. He looks you know, he

(25:35):
looks washed. He looks washed. Whether it's a little bit
of and I understand if he has a little bit
of anxiety because he's getting hit a lot, but he
looks like he's not nearly the guy he even was
in San Francisco, right, at least you could count on him.
He'd never like to step into throws, but that arm
was always, you know, was always pretty accurate. You get
that ball down the field and it's just not there. Wow,

(25:57):
it's just not clicking well. As you point out though,
like a couple of the throws that are being isolated
as bad throws, Like he's getting drilled right as he's
trying to release the ball, so you're just trying to
get rid of it. He did have a number of
places where like, why are you taking a sack in
this situation? Right, It's like Zach wilts Watch Zach Wilson
was like Zach Wilson taking that that sack on fourth

(26:19):
down with a minute thirty six left. I texted you
immediately just went sorry, buddy, which I would be much
more upset about if the Jets didn't come back to win.
They should should have lost the game. But you know
what I should have could have. Hey, I need surgery
on this need it's debilitating. Let me go out there
for this game winning. Can't can I Let's go, thank you?
But yeah, just an abject failure. Seven targets for Adams

(26:42):
in this game, just the one reception for eleven yards
and for Garoppolo. Look, a lot of it was predicated.
Also on this team, you had the league's leading rusher
last year in Josh Jacobs, who up until tonight really
hadn't been able to fall forward with any regularity, getting
hit in the backfield and trying to make plays. Even

(27:02):
the start of this game was ugly, right Jacob the ball, ah,
he's down like The play by play call was about
as short as you'll ever hear on a play. And
then he got a little bit of run. He finally
scored the touchdown run that got everybody excitable in fantasy
Land and certainly Raider fans a spark of life. But
there's been no semblance of balance for this offense either.

(27:24):
And when Hunter Renfro's name got called tonight like well
there is oh wait, he slipped down, he couldn't catch
the ball, there's been well. And that's the thing is
that the Raiders have had no plan. There you tell me,
tell me, tell me if you can, if you can identify, Hey,
what's the Raiders plan? They have no plan? No, they
have no plan. Now, people that I know, that I
that I trust, told me their plan was supposed to

(27:46):
be Tom Brady, that Brady was their plan, and then
when it didn't happen, they didn't have a plan. So
we're replacing Derek Carr with Jimmy Garoppolo and thinking that's
gonna work and we're gonna There was no plan. This
is just let's just throw this team together and see
what and see what it is. And this is the
way the Raiders do things. This is you can't be surprised.

(28:09):
This is just how the Raiders do things. This is
why the Raiders are on my never again list. I
never pick him to do anything ever. But there was
no plan. I can't tell you what the Raiders plan
is right now, what's their identity. I don't know they
have an idea. Are they a run first team? Are
they gonna be a team that throws a football down
the field defensively? Is that gonna say? There's no plan,
there's absolutely nothing out there. Is their head coach gonna stay?

(28:30):
I don't know, maybe maybe not? Does he have power
to stay how much longer contract? I mean, really, there
is absolutely no plan for the Raiders right now, and
I don't know that I can tell you it's gonna
get any better. But the one thing you can do is,
let's start clearing the decks when we know that it's
over and the best that's why, the best thing you
can do tomorrow is while he's at a very high

(28:51):
uh uh point of value and you can get a
lot for him because a lot of people want receivers
right now, and you have the best one, you move
to Vonta Adams, right. I try to move anybody that's
making a lot of money for the Raiders this year,
because you know, again in the off season, it's gonna
be a new quarterback, it's gonna be a new everything, sure,
and so why not, right hey, teams want running backs, right,
Josh Jacobs, Let's do that too. Right, this is where

(29:13):
it should be and not quite a blood letting, but
it should just be a you know what, this is
time to move on. We're time to move on from
the these high salary players. We know it's not working.
We know everything's gonna be new next year, and this
is the direction of the franchise. That's what the Raiders
need to do. You don't have to absorb a bunch
of cost if you bring in Jacobs either, right, just
sign the one year deal for ten million bucks. Yeah,

(29:34):
onward upward from there, DeVante, I'd start every call with
the Raiders though. Are you too tired of this blank
and blank? Well, let me help you with that situation.
Let trade Hunter Renfro, let him go. You just have
to let him go. Ye, there's no value. It's like
we were talking about with Tannehill like that. The it's

(29:55):
the bucket of ball. But if you get a let's say,
Hunter Renfro, you get a six round, okay, So would
that look Clayton Draft say hey, you know what, we
want to move up in the fourth round. We're gonna
give you a fifth rounder and two sixths. A team
would say, okay, we'll do that. And you get to
move up and take a guy you like in the
fourth round. The more assets you can get, the better
you can. That's what it's all about. Now. It's not
about because Josh Josh Jacobs. You could say, all right,

(30:17):
we're gonna ride him the rest of the season. But
is he better off doing that? Are you better off
trading him for an asset that you can get for
the rest of them. I'm fully Saturday ain't. But if
you get a sixth round, you get a six round pick.
Would I'd rather have the sixth round pick right now?
From what Hunter Renfro has looked like teams, there's some
teams out there that are going to say, we need

(30:39):
another wide receipver. We think it could be a chan
has a sit down, move the change receiver like that
seemed to be what his what his role was, right
like all those guys in New England and Denver of
years past, Indianapolis, guys not named Wayne or Harrison, uh
that you had those guys that move the chains. He

(31:01):
could be that guy. I think if he's healthy tonight.
He didn't do himself any favors with what he put
on tape on a couple of times they didn't try
to look in his direction and he slipped down. Joe Douglas,
call the raiders, Call the raiders now, call them now
before they get in the air, and the pilot says,
thanks a lot for coming in. Now we're flying back

(31:23):
to Las Vegas, Ernie Rubble Now. Flight time out of
Detroit is two hours and twenty four minutes. Our in
flight movie will be top Gun Maverick, And if you like,
we have a replay of the Jets Giants game from
a day ago for you to watch, because I know
you probably don't want to watch a replay of what
you guys just had. Sit back, relax. Will be taking
off shortly. Thank you, Fight attendants, Prepare for takof.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
To the Lions.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
We'll have more on the Lions coming up in a
few minutes. But with a trade deadline in the NFL
tomorrow last hour, we told you three teams that should
be very active for quarterbacks for different reasons. The Jets,
the Vikings, and the Steelers. That was last hour, Tye Shirt,
Well they're in the same division. Now this hour, we're

(32:22):
gonna give you three teams that should also be in
for quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
Okay, one of.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
Them is there. You go see, now, you got it.
Three other teams that should be in the mix for quarterbacks.
It really is. You have to look at it where hey,
we can still have a good season and we're still
playing well enough, but our quarterback play stinks for different reasons.
And the three teams I'm gonna give you are the

(32:49):
Browns and the Bucks and the Rams. Right now, even
though the Rams lost Stafford, you don't know how banged
up he is, but you know you heard Sean McVay
didn't sound great. The Rams have enough weapons to make
something of this season. But there's lyriclearly third in that
list because the other two teams have a better chance
because you have the Browns, who have the best defense

(33:10):
in the NFL. You can't sit here and waste this
season wondering if and when Deshaun Watson's gonna come back
and play how long? We don't know. Does a guy
want to play. We don't know. Is he going to play?
We don't know. But you can't go forward. PJ. Walker.
You need something and you can't give this away if
you're Tampa. You can't give away the fact that in
a bad division we could win it. But our quarterback
play in Baker Mayfield is killing us. It's not working.

(33:34):
Those are the other three teams? Be active for a quarterback, Tomart,
whether it's Ryan Tannehill, Davis Mills, mac Jones, somebody be
active for a quarterback. But I got to be realistic too.
I mean, yes, the Rams. If Stafford is out, the
question is who is it? Right we talk about elevating

(33:54):
from practice squads and playing defense and all that fun stuff.
Are any of the guys you mentioned really batter than
Baker Mayfield. It's the let's shuffle it up just because
we can kind of scenarios. I know, what's kind of
what you're offering not working. So if it's not working,
and maybe guys that have proven they can do it
a little bit at some point, a change of scenery

(34:17):
would help them. It would help mac Jones for sure,
right O. Tannehill, We've seen him do it before and
potentially with Davis Mills. We've seen him do it a
little bit for the Texans. Why not. It's more just
the function of where we're at in a season of
coming in learning terminology. Look, turn and throw the ball
to Williams and Godwin. It's nice. Yeah in theory, Yeah
that works. When you got a guy that can't do it,

(34:39):
you gotta find somebody that can. Well. But that's the
guy that's the unknown in all of this is the
Davis Mills, right, because he was in a team that
was just saying shuffle up and deal at the head
coach and their offensive line's been a disaster. So yeah,
that would be the guy. If I'm gonna go, I
would make a low level pitch for him. The other
two Now thanks, wow, Hey exit? How about a Fresca
