Speaker 2 (00:22):
Let's give this. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Hello, Welcome in side final hour tonight, The Jason Smith
Show with my bass.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Friend Mike Harmon.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Happy Halloween Eve, Devil's Night, Devil's Night, Let's go Denvil's Night?
Were the Devil the Devil face paint or the Devil's
Devil's Lost on Devil's Night? Man?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Really, Like, how does that happen? How do you not
inspire your locker room? We were just talking about this
with Dave robertson the Dodgers.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
If you if you can't literally fire in brimstone speech,
I really as good as the Devil's are this show. Like,
you gotta be able to win on Devil's Night, Like
you're playing a game on Devil's Night.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
You should be able to win.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
You got a whole community behind you tonight. I understand.
I mean they're everywhere, right, I don't understand you should
be able to win those games surrounded by candles. And
just wait till tomorrow night when North Carolina beat Syracuse,
when the entire crowd everything's orange and North Carolina wins twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
No, Belichick got a dress up like the devil five days.
He's got the hoodie with the horns coming out of it.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
And listen, there's a feel to know that the Dolphins
are so bad and they have one more win than
the Jets. Yeah, they have twice as many wins, and
they beat up about that. Yeah, no, it's bad. Tua
has twice as many wins as you. Yeah, yeah, no,
it's bad. It's bad. I can't they won't lose this
week though.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
We're gonna have two weeks and no losses the Jets.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
That's nice man teams out of by uh, Tampa Bay, Cleveland,
Philadelphia and the Jets. Yeah this uh, this week not
really affecting as many many people Fantasy wises last week did.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Who's on a buy this week? The Jets? Man, I
don't have to worry about whether a j Brown's gonna happen.
Gary Wilson's out.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Who else is on a bye the Browns? Yeah, I
don't worry about it. Let me all right?

Speaker 1 (02:11):
What else we got well? In my id P league?
I lost Miles Garrett. We can't set anybody else but
Baker Mayfield. Okay, it's fine, he's out, all right?

Speaker 3 (02:20):
What else?

Speaker 4 (02:20):
You know it?

Speaker 5 (02:21):
Right?

Speaker 1 (02:21):
That's tough go with all those guys hurt. Maybe they
don't come back after the bye week. But I mean,
I don't know how much you were trusting anybody but Baker,
And even then that was that was a little tenuous
with the current runout. So tonight Thursday Night Football, we
watched the Ravens in a very workmanlike effort, distanced themselves
from the Dolphins to win twenty eight to six. Right

(02:43):
spend a lot of time last hour talking about Lamar
Jackson his return. Joe Shadd, formerly a ESPN who now
covers the Dolphins for a Palm Beach post, put a
big thing up on social media following the game. He
talked to a lot of players in the locker room.
With the trade deadline coming up next week, said Jalen
Phillips said he'd love to stay. Bradley Chubb said, God

(03:04):
is in complete control. Dolphins players are all reacting to
the trade deadline after they have fallen to two and
seven and it's over. If the Dolphins are smart and
I know they want to and if other teams that
need a quarterback aren't quite sold on what they're seeing
in the draft for next year, because there's a lot
of ingredients that go into this. But when the ingredients

(03:25):
that we're going to give you the next few minutes
are all said and done, the final dish that we're
serving is to a tongue of I loois should be
dealt by the deadline to a quarterback needy? Look at
you should be dealt. That's getting bold because it's got
to be a contending Yeah, no, no, it does, or
it could be a team that is unsure. Because let's

(03:46):
let's take different spots of this now. Tua is someone
who has flashed his talent, has thrown for four thousand
yards at this point in time with Miami. His run
is over. He's had an awful year this year. He's
at a year where his leadership has been challenged by
his head coach, by the other players. They don't like
the fact that he was saying, we need to come

(04:06):
to meetings a little bit sooner. You can tell that
Tua is someone who is at arm's length from the organization.
But what if you extricate the coach, They're gonna say
you're gone and you gotta take Tuoa with you. But
I don't want all right fight. You can even tell
Mike McDaniel, who's gonna get fired, has to sort of
be anti Tua when he said, yeah, I talked to

(04:29):
two about saying things like guys should be coming on
times to meetings.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
How about my McDaniel.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
You say that and your quarterback doesn't have to That
was really I thought it was out of bounds all
the criticism that Tua got because if a lot of
other quarterbacks say that, it's look that he's being a leader, right,
Right if Lamar Jackson says that he's a leader, right
if Jalen Hurt says that he's a leader, unless you
just have a laundry list of things he's done, that
fly in the face of it, right, Because when if
we found out Lamar had gotten the ping pong tables

(04:55):
and everything removed, you go, well, you have you were
winning with them before but you could say, okay, it's
a leadership move to say, hey we need to refocus.
We got a full season that we can go steal
the AFC North.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
You got to see the whole show. Jason hates all
those teams.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Josh Allen says that he's being a leader, but Tua
says it because of his standing in Miami. That has
never been we love you, your our franchise quarterback. It's
always been hesitantly will pay you because life without a
quarterback is miserable. You have flashed, shown you can move
the team. But we've seen the arc of t in

(05:32):
Miami has gone from coming in as a rookie in
proving each of his first three years hit the apex.
Now we see him in Miami coming down the other
side of the mountain, and clearly they're going to start over.
There's going to be a new head coach, new everything there.
When you're talking about the best players, delta, the deadline,
you know you're starting over in Miami. New coaches are

(05:52):
going to want to come in. Stuck with Tuas saying okay,
we'll try to make we'll postpone the future, try to
make it work for a year. If it doesn't work,
what are we going to do? Everybody knows what toua
contract is. It's not completely a turnoff. It's something that, well, hey,
if you absorb more money, we'll give you a better
draft pick, or we won't give you as big a
draft pick if we're absorbing the money. Whenever money is involved,

(06:16):
you can make a trade. In the NFL. We've seen
that the last couple of years. Even guys that are
worse off than Tua. Right two is twenty seven years old,
in theory, still has prime years left. We saw a
forty year old Aaron Rodgers, a thirty seven year old
Russell Wilson get dealt money was a big deal. Noe
money didn't matter, So that can happen. Clearly, Tua is
not part of what's going forward and the Dolphins need

(06:39):
to move on.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
There is not a bigger.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Quarterback in the game that needs a change of scenery
more than Tua does. Because we have seen him do it,
we have seen him be dynamic. There's a system for everybody.
There is a system. We've got. The one thing the
last few years the NFL, a new tenant they have
proved is that it doesn't matter what's happened to you
where you were. There's a system for you. There's a
system for you. Daniel Jones system for you, Gino Smith

(07:05):
system for you, Baker Mayfield system for you. Sam Darnold. Right,
you have the pedigree, you're drafted early. There is a
system for you. You can go someplace else and achieve and
be really good. There's a lot of teams that could say, hey,
come in, you're my guy, and Tua clearly would be
in that category for the Dolphins. If you're starting over,

(07:28):
there's a lot of quarterbacks you'll be able to choose
from the top ten of the draft. Maybe it's Mendoza, Mendoza,
I just think about that. Simpsons Mendoza. Sure, Maybe it's Mendoza.
Maybe it's Dante More Maybe it's Simpson that you know,
if arch Manning decides to come up, but he's probably
gonna stay. But there's a few guys nuss Meyer, who
once upon a time was the number one overall pick
in the NFL draft. There may not be the one

(07:51):
sure thing, but there's a lot of possibilities, and you
trust that you can do the right job, get it right,
analyze the prospects, and gets one. On the flip side,
if you're a team like the Raiders who clearly wants
to move on at quarterback, and maybe we don't know
if we're gonna pick the right guy. Maybe we don't

(08:11):
know where we're gonna we're gonna select. We can give
up next to nothing. We can take to a tongue
of Ilois salary. We can bring him in and maybe
we jumpstart things with him and brought powers here and
it works. There are teams that would take Tua if
you dealt him at the deadline. You can figure out
the money. You can figure out the draft picks. Again,
it's not gonna be that expensive, because I guarantee you

(08:33):
you call the Dolphins, they will be all ears. That's
not gonna be Hey, no, you know, mister McDaniel's in
a meeting. We'll call you back. No, no, they'll call
you back right now. We'll call it. Well, we we're
gonna ge everybody a room and we're gonna we're gonna
zoom right now. And we got now have everybody there.
Even Stephen Ross is in on this meeting. Where you
want to let's talk, let's figure it out right now.
There are teams you can do that too. There are

(08:53):
teams that will take him. And if both signs know
the best time to move on is now, I move
on now instead of in the off season. When the
off season comes, there's all kinds of other quarterbacks you
can fall in love with. A team that needs a
quarterback can fall in love with a lot of guys.
And when you're picking in the top ten, hey, there's
some guys in the top ten we like. There's some

(09:15):
free agents that we like. Maybe we're not paying as
much money as Tua, you know what. We like Tua,
but there's a little bit more open to us now,
there's more choices, so we're gonna take our shots someplace else,
and to his trade value goes way down. But now
when he is the best quarterback available at the deadline,
a team that really needs hey, let's make a bold

(09:35):
move right now. Let's get him in for the last
half of the season. Picks up the playbook and maybe
in three weeks or a month, and who knows what
we have right because we've seen him do it before.
Change of scenery for Tua is exactly what he needs.
There's many coaches out there would say I'm the mad
scientist Halloween. I'm the mad scientist. I can bring him
in and I can make him good again. I know

(09:56):
exactly what he needs. I'm the genius and I can
do it.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
To make a move. Let's go get to him.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
You know there's there's a coach I'm thinking of from
a certain city. Begins with c ens and oh. In
the middle is when we look at what Ben Johnson
wants to do with Caleb Williams, which is where the
strength of to his game is right. It's all about timing,
get the ball. He's not driving the ball into a spot.

(10:21):
He does have a nice high arching pass that he
uncorks every once in a while. That's part of the
narrative on the Ali Gordon tripping call or slipping call
or whatever we want to call that. That might have
been the best ball he's thrown. He had another nice
little wheel route that that h Chan caught out of
the backfield over the back shoulder of the defender. But

(10:45):
all of that to say, yeah, I mean, we watch
guys and reclamation projects. We talk about the contract with
an out twenty twenty seven thirty four point eight million
dollar dead calf, which is not terrible right as of now,
he's got the sixth highest cap hit for twenty twenty

(11:06):
six at a shade over fifty three fifty four million
dollars depending on whose math you're you're trusting in the
breakdown on these different contract websites.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
Do I want him?

Speaker 4 (11:18):
Know?

Speaker 1 (11:19):
But I look the humorous and the way you go
through quarterbacks. Yeah, I he'll find another spot Jets. I
just wonder, Hey.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
You know what it's for? You say that, Frostburg, But.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Because clearly the only team that he's an upgrade, normally
that was it. Dude, anybody's an upgrade. Other teams have
a better option anybody. Most teams backups are enough.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
But that's the thing.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
But that's the larger point, right, you don't want to
trade with the obviously you don't want to trade with
the division. But do you think the rest of the
teams would care? Oh you're trading with the Jets. Yeah,
we don't care. Can the trade if nobody wants to
get and the Jets make a trade and the Jets
who can't, I would trade justin fields and Aaron Glass.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Yeah, the Jets. That's the only option.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
I like that.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
You threw the coach in the.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
It's within division. And normally don't do that. But are
the Jets. Have the Jets ever picked a quarterback? When
have they gotten picked? Tomlin's gonna complain at least now
it's a quarterback that we've seen him do well, we've
seen to a do well. Okay, now let's bring in
an own quantity rather than we shrug our shoulders and say,
maybe Fernando Mendoza, I don't know, maybe he's good, but

(12:18):
what doesn't matter. Fanna Mendoza go to another team, be
a star, go to the Jet. Andy stinks because whatever
the Jets do is wrong. So yeah, normally you don't
do that. But I could you think the Bills, the
or the Patriots would care, Oh we still have two
in the division. Oh, we're good with that. Yeah, we
don't want to lose him out of the division. We
like him in the We're fine, We're fine. No, man,
you could that could be a trade where no one's
gonna say, oh, you're training too. It would be it's

(12:40):
to the Jets, what does it matter? That would be
the reaction.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
Nice. I'll defend it to this point.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Right when we look at what two is done this year,
and it's a high interception rate, no question about it.
Six of those go against the Chargers, who we've seen
when they're healthy they can do some ball hawking, and
certainly Cleveland, as much as we laugh at them, their
defense and the havoc that Miles Garrett brings to the
table does afford you turnover opportunities. And once you have

(13:09):
that first, you know, it's like having a chip or
a cookie. You're not just having one. You're going back
for that second, maybe a third. Like a French fry. Hey,
let me get a fry. That one was too small,
let me get it, you know, that kind of thing.
But for Tua, I mean even tonight, I mean they
moved the ball well. First half, they were great, had

(13:31):
the funny yards as the Ravens did.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
You had the fumble on the second possession that leads
to a quick Baltimore touchdown. And I'm not going to
contend he was great. But you had a couple of
ten play drives, were moving the football. You have a
couple of penalties that go in the wrong way. Again,
that tripping call, I think it's letter spirit of the law.
All that things we can argue about, but they made
the call and you move on. But all of that

(13:55):
to say, they did move the ball pretty effectively, and
then the Ravens defense stiffened the interception that he did throw.
Receiver didn't fight for that football. Was it a lame
duck because again he ain't driving the ball into a spot,
which is drive coaches nuts, no question about it. But
you know it was one that your young receivers got

(14:16):
to go and fight for it, and he did not,
so they can come back the other way. But yeah,
he'll find the place and the money. To your point,
we've watched time and again you'll figure it out, which
is why you know by Tuesday the look that the
other big guy he's competing as what Kirk Cousins. We
just watched Kirk Cousins get run over him by who

(14:36):
by the Dolphins exit out about a Fresco exit swollen dome.
If you're being serious to what should be moved to
the deadline should be on a new team at this
time next week. The Jets should be head coach Mike
McDaniel quarterback to a tongue of Ila all you want,
Mike McDaniel, and the Dolphins should have Aaron Glenn and
justin fields.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
That would be that I do that trade. In a second.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
You doing it was like it's a trade between raw
and smack, and I don't like that trade, and I
would still do it. Shuffle up and deal, do something
even if it's wrong. Exit out about a Fresca Exit
Swelling Dome Jason Smith, Mike Harmon. Coming up next, we
take a look at all the unbeaten teams in the
NBA and our takes on how good they are are

(15:19):
gonna shock you. That's next right here, Jason and Mike

Jason Smith Mike Harmon live from the Fox Sports Radio
Studios Kenday, Game six of the World Series for frow
real quick before.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
You get to the NBA.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Yeah, you know, I've always been sort of hit and
miss with baseball games and football games on Halloween. YEP,
because Halloween is not a it's not a holiday where Okay,
we're playing in a holiday and people are out of town,
but you can still watch it on TV. Like Halloween,

(17:41):
you're out doing stuff, right, if you have kids, you're
out doing stuff. You're trick or treating. I always felt
like when you have a big sporting event on Halloween,
it's I don't know, man, I know that you're still
gonna get you know, people are still gonna watch and
you people are still gonna watch games. It's still gonna
be the highest rated show Tomorrow night. But in the end,
like if if you'd taken an extra day, would people

(18:02):
have cared and you played Saturday and Sunday or Saturday
and Sunday night or Saturday, I mean, wait, you really
don't want it Sunday though, No, you don't want it
Sunday at all.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
But Sunday night.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
I would be okay with it Sunday night, but like
okay Saturday night, Sunday night or Sunday night. And I
just feel like you're playing on Halloween and it's you
want to get as many eyeballs as possible to the
to the game, and instead it's well, you're gonna fight
with with people because anybody that's got kids that has
taking their kids trick or treating, right, or they have

(18:32):
to go somewhere, they have to get someplace. It's a
it's a it's a holiday that people are out and
about doing things. It's not Fourth of July where I'm
at someone's house and I'm watching a game because the
game's on TV. Because that's what we're doing. This is
we're out doing things. We're away from being able to
consume the game in a way where I'm in front

(18:52):
of a TV. I'm watching and we're getting as many
eyeballs in front of it as possible.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Yeah, I mean it depends on your neighborhood.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
I mean some folks should run the the court out
there and have the TV as well as some road
sodas while they sat on the.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
Sat on their lawn chairs. So here you go, trick
or treat. What the hell is wrong with you?

Speaker 2 (19:10):
Show?

Speaker 3 (19:11):
Hang us up? There's two, one and two out and
the seven get the hell out of here. Look here,
take candy then go.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
I remember when we take one of my kids were
younger and one point I was taking them trigger treating.
There was one house and they had the biggest damn
TV I've ever seen, and they purposefully they kept the
left and drapes open.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
There's like twenty people just to watch the good.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Everybody's just standing out the front lawn watching the games.
All the kids are like tongueing a sleep.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Watch the goom.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
It's the last good you'll ever watch. I don't know.
I don't think that happened in the that's a good
premise though. I like that.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Whatever happened to your dad? Well, it was game six
of the World series. Some dude had a big screen
TV went in because he showed him he had a
cargarator and it was funny. Freeman was up with the
bases loaded one out in the seventh and then what happened?

Speaker 4 (20:02):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
I never saw my dad again. Maybe he's in the
basement like it's weapons. Sorry spoiler, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
Maybe we go back.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
But I don't know if Texas saying he was stopping
because the Dodgers were in a great situation and that
was just some really big guy looking like a dementor
with a really clawed finger.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
That's going coming inside. The Dodgers have two on and
two out. They're going to pitch it Tommy Edmonton.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Oh, we're going to watching. He seems like a great guy. Okay,
that's awesome. Geez is piping hot. Mets owner Tommy Sorry,
Met's owner Tommy Evan. Yes, that's owner Tommy Evan. Yes,
you'd love to transfer that ownership, right.

Speaker 4 (20:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
I wish Tommy Edmond had the playoff last year he's
having this year. Maybe the Mets won have won the
World Series. Oh you know what, in an alternate universe,
I wish all of the Dodgers would the playoffs last
year they had this year, the Mets would won the
World Series. We would again, you can write your on
and what if and then there was a whole mar.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Would have made all kinds theirs. What have happened?

Speaker 1 (21:04):
Now let's get to the NBA here, because this is
I'm looking forward to talking about this today. There are
four teams undefeated in the NBA right now. One nobody
is surprised at Yeah, here a getting the Halloween the
Thunder undefeated, six and oh, defending champs. No one surprised, right,
six and oh. But the other undefeated teams. Do you
believe in these undefeated teams? Because it's not the teams

(21:26):
you would expect, right, the Knicks are not undefeated. You
expect them to be, but they're not. The Spurs after
winning tonight five and oh, first time they started five
and oh. And I figure what Monty Bolagna said, like
thirty five years, the Spurs are five and oh, first
time in history, in history and history. Believe it in
the Spurs one hundred percent. Maybe you listened because I

(21:47):
don't like to bring it up, but I don't remind
you of things. But well, I did say in the
preseason you're looking for a long shots. Well, the Knicks
are going to the finals. You're looking for a long
shot NBA Finals team. Spurs at fifty one because this
year Wemby becomes the best player in the NBA. They
have a great young roster. This will come together really

(22:07):
fast for the Spurs. What's happened Wemby's become the best
player in the NBA. Now he's there tonight twenty seven eighteen,
six assists, five blocks. This is Wemby, right, he has
become the best.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
Player in the league. So don't need to complicate at all.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
Yeah, Spurs being five and zero not a surprise because
Wemby's the best player in the NBA. So yeah, believe
it in the Spurs. Believe in them going forward. And
I hope you got that. I hope you got that
long shot money and at fifty to one for the
Spurs to go to the final, still at twenty five
to one now, but yeah, you could have had it
for just the Western Conference. So you think they could
come out of there over under for their win total

(22:44):
before the season tipped off. You want to take a
guess forty one, forty four and a half, forty four
and a half, I'm gonna blow pass that they're gonna
blow pass. That's just saying it was barely above five
hundred was what they were looking for.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
So that's fine.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
All that to say, a great start, a hot start,
and taking advantage of meeting Victor Webbin Yama, and you
look at those numbers, you look at the odds. There
were a lot of questions about his health. Right, we
had no idea how quickly he'd be able to ramp
up to full participation, whatever his sojourns were. I can't
wait to see him. I mean, he'll be able in
a costume. He loves Halloween. He's a big kid at all,

(23:22):
and he's like three inches taller now, so you probably
have to buy a new costume. I just bought this
costume last week. I've grown down arch bloods Now they
look like Chino's. Like he's he's Mike McDaniel looking around.
He goes to Mike McDaniel. He's a seven. He's a
seven to five. Mike McDaniel, barely covering his knees. Also
undefeated your and I look at you, Mike card or

(23:44):
Chicago Bulls? Am I believing in the Bulls?

Speaker 3 (23:48):
Yes? Wait? Why the Bulls?

Speaker 1 (23:50):
They didn't make any changes from the team last year's
base the same guys.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Yeah, but after they.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Made their moves the deadline, they changed their style of play.
Takes a little bit of time, but they have hit
the ground running this year. They run eleven guys out there,
they run. They run this team like it's one of
those college basketball teams that plays at a breakneck pace
and every four minutes they have full scale substitutions because
the guys are exhausted. But this is the pace the

(24:17):
Bulls play with. They play eleven guys and they don't
have a lot of stars, and they're four to oher
and their best player is still not playing yet. Giddy
right now is their best player. You would default to him,
but Bizellos has become a star right away, like all
of a sudden. He's a really terrid He's at twenty
seven and five. Last night they come at you the
bench with Williams and Phillips and Herder. He had eighteen

(24:38):
off the bench last night. This is a team that
plays at a pace that just pisss off other teams
in the NBA, right, And this kind of gets to
my only fear for the for the Bulls. But when
a team play, they're not a fun team to play
against because when they're one night out of eighty two
to have to sit here and understand that, Okay, let's

(25:01):
put the armor on, because they're just gonna run and
play at a big, hot pace the entire game. Right,
They move the ball around. Nobody really has the ball
for more than a few seconds at a time. They're
not one ball dominant player. They are a pain in
the ass to play against. That means a lot of wins.
So I am believing in the Bulls. The only downside
is that when you play with pace, when you get
to the playoffs, that advantage sort of comes down a bit.

(25:24):
You can't play pace that much in the same series
against another team and not wind up getting exhausted after
a whole season of it. The other team not figuring
out when you're not just one night on the schedule.
This is our plan for the entire series. When you
don't have the great players, the teams with the great
players in the playoffs are going to be able to
out talent you. So my only fear for the Bulls

(25:45):
is that they're a regular season great team. But it'll
take that because they've been regular season awful the last
few years. But they clearly have a lot going on,
and they have a lot of youth, and they move
the ball well. They look like they have fun playing
with each other. Yeah, I'm believing in the Bulls.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
Double digits.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
Boring bizillis one of those stars and certainly this offseason.
You know me loving the memorabilia, training guard market, A
lot of investment in bizillis going on. The Other thing
is they don't they don't have Kobe White just yet,
scored twenty points a game last year, still coming back
off a calf injury, practicing, so could be activated at

(26:20):
any point. They're trying to be cautious about it, particularly
a given the hot start and the way the substitution
batterns working. You got seven guys averaging nine or more points.
So Billy Donovan just has this thing. It's like a
it's like a Swiss clock already and we're four games
into the season. A lot of young guys, so I
mean also you know a little bit of that college
field to it all.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
All right, let's go away and get after it for
ze for now.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
They were five hundred and one over under on wins
coming into the season, so this would have been before
tip off seventeen and a half thirty three, and often
Jason's believing in them. It's now like a million times.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
No, you killed your We're watching the odds go down.
What do we watch last night? Were we talking about
like in the game with the d during.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Our segment, we watched the we watched the odds move
because we were talking about it. The Ravens game went
up half of them. Yeah, that's what's weird. We're talking about.
This happened this time last night. We were talking about
the game and we watched the line move, probably because
we were talking about and people were betting it. We're fed,
We're well, then it moves again. After your take on
the Bulls. Now everybody is dumping their money on the Bulls.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
I get rid of it. You gotta sell your pumpkin
futures before.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Who would like to buy futures on the Bulls. I'm
selling them really really cheap. The other undefeated team and
it's a great story, and you know, I feel this way.
I'm saying this about a team that's a big rival
of the Knicks. But the Sixers are undefeated, and not
only have the Sixers made it through the Joel Embiid era,
they have come out the other side with potentially a

(27:50):
better team. Because I don't know that that it's not
going to be common opinion soon that Maxi and Edgecombe
are the best backcourt in the NBA. Max said today.
I saw an interview with him today where he said,
you know, in the off season, he decided to host
a bunch of players who wanted to get up really
early and come and and and and and work out
really early, like six o'clock in the morning. And Edgecumb

(28:13):
was the only guy who was there all the time,
Like first day he was there, he knew he was
going to be special, and they have some kind of
of chemistry already together. This is a backcourt that every
night the story is, here's here's here's Max and Edgecomb
combining for seventy five points, eighty two points. Like, Edgecumb
is really good. Number three pick over all in the draft,
we expected to be good, but this good right away.

(28:34):
Something you know we we get away from that time
is because now even guys that go number one overall
are are players who need time to get accustomed to
the NBA. But here's Edgecomb coming in going yeah, no,
I'm good, I'm ready, let's go. So now, Embiid, who's
playing twenty minutes a game, it's like he's forgotten about
because remember Driven, Well, we had that quote from the
other day, right saying, I don't even want don't want

(28:56):
to do this, Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
I don't like my minutes. Now he's had a couple
of big games.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Best part.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Best part, if he's healthy, you can trade him, you
can move him. What do you need to hey that
the Dolphins need a quarterback. That is true Embiid for
Tua right now. They would do it both sides. Yeah,
Dolphins will still try to send McDaniel along. He's in
the suitcase. No, it's the let me out.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
I really got hurt in Newark, real good right now? Now,
first with edgecumb did he just have nothing else to do?

Speaker 1 (29:27):
Because that's kind of like any gathering you have in
the first person to walk through the door every time.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
Hey, guys, U, I guess who's here. It's not until four.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
Make sure you tell that here at two to five,
the parties at four, tell him the parties at seven.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
All right, all right, all right, there we go.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
Odds for Joel Embiid after the all after the trade deadline,
if not the Sixers.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
The odds I had a team, he's on a different team.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
Wow. No, no, come on, man, we're getting you honest.
You guys were funest the other The only thing I
don't like is it the Bucks are winning a lot
now too.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
It's like that's going to really hurt you on his
wanting to get beat the Knicks. Why would he join
them with his words?

Speaker 1 (30:07):
His words, he did say that, Okay, all the off
season where I got to look at my other options
and reports that, hey, it didn't come out of report
said it didn't come out of him. He would have
refuted that when it came out instead of waiting after
they played the Knicks. He was just waiting to see
which way the game went. If the Knicks one, he
was going to say, Hey, guys, I'm going to do
this interview the other locker room because I'm gonna be

(30:28):
there eventually playing against you guys, unlike Kat. All right,
ready the odds, all right, what are the odds he
stays with them? Well, it's that's not on here. That's
it's not on there. That's not the pro bet. The
prop bet is he's gone. Where does he go? So
the number one team that he goes to, well, you

(30:48):
know what I said, he would fit. And I've said
this for a while. I'm gonna say Golden State, Miami Okay,
Miami Okay. Lakers said so plus three to fifteen plus
four hundred Nicks or third at plus four fifty.

Speaker 3 (31:05):
Two the Hella. The Knick's gonna trade for MB Well,
you get rid of one, probably you probably you know
from the devil. You don't know, we got cat, we
have no.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
You don't, followed by Brooklyn Phoenix, Houston at seven to one, Okay,
Spurs at nine to one, and the Pistons at eleven
to one. There'd be no room on the court for
him and Wenby at Well.

Speaker 3 (31:31):
That's why did you make that argument that you need
to change that up?

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Why isn't Dallas on there? Nico would trade Cooper flag
for mbat Well and gets funny, you should say Dallas
because the leaders in the clubhouse for another star player
who may be in the marketplace, Lebron Tyler Hero three
to one, the Hero. We all need Dallas, Mavericks, Portland
Trailblazers thereafter. I do not have odds for Lebron James,

(31:57):
but I'm sure those will be up here in the
next day or so, because he are just starting to
hit the marketplace. Believing in all three of those undefeated teams.
They got great stuff going on this year. Time now
to find out what's trending for someone else's got a
lot going on, because she's buying her Halloween costume for tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (32:12):
It's Monty Blagos. Yes, point to the world. How much
I procrastinate in life? Well, I'm just safe.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
You're not procrasting. You're also working at the same tongue procrastint. Okay,
I don't juge, thank you.

Speaker 7 (32:24):
I usually pull it.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
I saw I saw your listening of the week. Pretty good.
I'm tired, but in a week, but you look full
of vimen vigor.

Speaker 7 (32:35):
Thank you, thank you. In college, what, yes, a lot
of procrastination?

Speaker 1 (32:39):
What you you would study the late last night like
you would get up at eleven.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
My test is at eight. I'm studying for seven hours
and I'm gonna take the test.

Speaker 7 (32:46):
Sort of yeah, that type of that type of deal.
Not as long as you said I would, but a
couple of hours. I just wing it, you know what
I mean?

Speaker 3 (32:54):
I feel.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
Whatever.

Speaker 7 (32:57):
And if it was history, I would just cheat. Just
look next store. Wow, I hated history, like I was
doing history.

Speaker 5 (33:04):
Why you have to do two years of general education
in college? When I went straight to a four year
college out of high school. It's like, why am I
doing this again?

Speaker 3 (33:12):
First president was what did you wash?

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Wash?

Speaker 7 (33:15):
Thank you so much?

Speaker 3 (33:17):
Fumble the Ming dynasty.

Speaker 7 (33:19):
Who Why do I need to learn about that?

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Oh yeah, Jamae yao, Ming yao. Ming's number one, number one.

Speaker 7 (33:27):
That's what I can tell you.

Speaker 5 (33:29):
So all the other stuff, I was like, shout out
to Laurie, who let me cheat off of her?

Speaker 2 (33:34):
And she's doing well.

Speaker 7 (33:38):
She's mom and Temecula real Estate.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
She was Beta Kappa. Now they're kicking her out because
now she allowed Monsey to cheat off.

Speaker 7 (33:46):
We were in sorority off a Kyle Mega. Do not
get it twisted?

Speaker 3 (33:50):
No, no, Pi cap. That's that's like the biggest thing
you could do in college. Is she academically?

Speaker 1 (33:55):
No?

Speaker 3 (33:55):
No is being Pi Kappa.

Speaker 7 (33:57):
Oh yeah, yeah, no, I'll see. I thought you're talking
about Greek.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
No, no, no no.

Speaker 7 (34:01):
I was like, yeah, I was Kylemega. Hey kyo, hey kyo, lads,
you don't lose it.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
You don't lose it.

Speaker 7 (34:07):
I was giving you the hand signal a right.

Speaker 5 (34:11):
Week nine of the NFL kicked off with Thursday Night
Football Ravens CRUs Passadelphins twenty eight to six. Lamar Jackson
returned to action, missing a couple games with that hamstring injury,
but he ended eighteen of twenty three two hundred and
four yards and four touchdowns. In the air, Derek Henry
had nineteen carries for one hundred and nineteen yards to
a Togoa Loa from Miami. He was twenty five to

(34:31):
forty two hundred and sixty one yards and an interception.
Baltimore improves to three and five, Miami falls to two
and seven. Other NFL news quickly here. Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray,
he's gonna start Monday. Is set to start Monday, Let's
say it that way against the Cowboys, returning from that
foot injury that cost him two games. Houston Texans wide
receiver Nico Collins says clear concussion protocol. He's set to

(34:52):
start Sunday against the Broncos. In college football, Texas quarterback
Arch Manning practice today, but he remains in concussion protocol.
The twentieth rank law Horn's host number nine Vanderbilt on Saturday,
and Nebraska gave head football coach Matt Rule a two
year contract extension.

Speaker 7 (35:06):
In the NBA, the Spurs start of.

Speaker 5 (35:08):

about that first time in franchise history. They beat the
Heat one oh seven to one oh one, victo win
Banyama can do it all twenty seven points, eighteen rebound,
six assists and five blocks. Shake Gilgess Alexander dropped thirty
one points tonight, and the thunder are also still undefeated.
They're six to zero. They defeated the Wizards one twenty
seven to one oh eight. The Magic outscored the Hornets

(35:30):
one twenty three to one oh seven. Paolo Bancaro, one
of my favorites, twenty points, nine rebounds and nine assists
Without Jani Santetekumpo, the Bucks top the Warriors one twenty
to one.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
Ten.

Speaker 7 (35:40):
In the WNBA, the.

Speaker 5 (35:41):
Players Association and the league and the Players Association, they've
agreed to a thirty day contract extension of the current CBA.

Speaker 7 (35:48):
You know they're in the middle of all that.
