Polytech staff are confident of the future of their industry, despite job cuts and predicted financial losses.
A report by the Auditor General warns Polytechs could lose $53 million this year, and double that next year.
An audit shows some institutes adapted well to remote learning, while others were just getting through.
Tertiary Education Union national president Michael Gilchrist told Mike Yardley the losses will be smoothed out as they move into a national network.
"Some places have seen a forty percent increase in enrolment for next year, which is very healthy."
