Should our banks be doing more to help cover the cost of money printing?

The RBNZ is holding $49 billion dollars of banks' reserves, thanks to all the money printing of 2020.

The problem is, the RBNZ is now having to pay interest on that at the rapidly rising OCR rate.

NZ Herald Wellington business editor Jenee Tibshraeny weighed in on this issue.
