Hotels in Queenstown are building their own staff accommodation to combat the housing shortage in the area.

They say it is a gamechanger for recruiting staff in the industry.

Board Member for Tourism Industry Aotearoa James Doolan told Heather Du Plessis-Allan that although it is a good idea, it is not sustainable across the whole industry.
