An Australian animal handler has been hospitalised after a tiger mauled her at the Gold Coast theme park, Dreamworld.

The woman was transported to hospital on Monday morning in a stable condition, with injuries to her arm.

Australian correspondent Oliver Peterson says investigations have started up, with park staff conducting a thorough review.
