(00:22):
you when someone never minds yeah,no, it's okay. We'll just bull
move on and now handle on thenews. Ladies and gentlemen. Here's Bill
Handle, and this is kpi AMsix forty handle. Here it is a

(00:45):
Tuesday Taco Tuesday Morning, April thirtieth, twenty twenty four fight. You know,
April is basically ending. This thingis flying. I think you know
the war we're around the quicker itseems to go. And there's a there's
actually, I think a reason forthat. Someone once told me that when
you're five years old, a yearis twenty percent of your entire life.

(01:07):
When you're sixty years old, it'sone sixtieth of your life. Wow,
it must be hauling for you.Yeah, I mean just zipping along zippity
do. Oh yeah, all right, so let me say quick hello.
And then I got a couple ofthings to talk about. First of all,
Amy good morning, Good morning Bill, there you go, happy camp

(01:30):
or Amy Cono, good morning toyou. Hello Bill Who and Ann Good
morning, Bill, good morning, and the infamous Neil Svager, good morning
Neil, Willie Wolf as we startthe show. All right, a couple
of things. So what was Igoing to say about yesterday? I was

(01:52):
talking to an oh during the breakjust before we started. Anne and I
were speaking and talked about this podcaststhat I'm working on, and she's helping
me to put this thing together. And so we're thinking about two weeks out
before our first podcast. I've donea few of them in there. Yeah,
it's not the same. It's adifferent kind of broadcasting podcasting anyway.

(02:16):
So I was supposed to have oneready yesterday and she said did you do
it? And I said no,I was kind of busy moving And therein
we segue right into my moving story. So as you know, we're moving
into another house. I'm doing alittle remodeling and had the sist life source
put in and advanced roofing and Walter'sElectric put in the charging station. I'm

(02:38):
doing all of that. So whatwe're doing is moving boxes, and Lindsay's
very good at this stuff. Soit's just these huge boxes. And we
rented a U haul one of thosebox trucks and loaded it up with a
friend of hers, a kid,the child of a friend of hers and

(02:59):
six years old. By the way, you lift the heavy one, okay,
yeah, oh yeah, hard workers. I was saying, hey,
a key, a key. Anyway, So I rented this U haul truck
and I'm sitting here driving this truckdown the street with this box full of
stuff. And this truck is justi mean, it's thumping it. The

(03:23):
windows roll up, they're they're notautomatic, they're not motorized. Uh.
The air conditioner is blasting hot air. Uh. The transmission keeps slipping.
The brakes are you put them onand they grip then they let go.
And I'm thinking, I'm going, first of all, whoever does their living

(03:44):
doing this, get another job, because this is that horrific. I'm going,
it couldn't be worse. And soI'm thinking, that's the way people
move, that's what these trucks areabout. It had almost two hundred thousand
miles on this truck, hard miles, and I'm driving this thing down the
road and going up a slight heel. I floor it and it doesn't hit

(04:05):
forty five miles per hour because there'sa governor on these things. And it
was I gotta tell you, that'smoving. This is why God invented movers.
I'll tell you right now. Sothere's a photo of me in the
truck, isn't there. Lindsay sendsme a picture of you in the truck,
and I think it's the closest I'veever seen you do manual work.

(04:27):
Was just sitting in the front ofa moving truck. Yeah, I've always
thought manual labor was somebody's name.It was you know this. Jews don't
do this. They don't pick upand put boxes and trucks and move them
around. They just don't do this. Wow, well there was, you

(04:50):
know. And since I've moved youready for this? Take out the trash?
I'm doing it. You're taking outthe trash? Yeah? Can you
hire somebody to do that? Uh? Yeah? Like, well, I
that's yeah, I could, youknow, But I happen to be with
someone who doesn't believe in that.Take out the damn trash yourself, leave

(05:13):
me alone. You're becoming a realperson. No, I'm not, you
know, and you know how oldI am. I'm no youngster anymore.
I'm approaching ninety, and I havenever I've never changed you know, I've
never changed the tire in my life. Really, yeah, what do you
think God invented the auto club for? No, that's why. That's what

(05:33):
the this is what I paid sixtywhat I have never changed the tire.
I've never mowed a lawn in mylife. You've never mowed a lawn,
never mowed alone? Ever? Neveronce in my life have I mowed alone.
They've got gardeners for that. That'skind of I had a mowing company
when I was like twelve. Ohthat's sweet, you know what. It

(05:57):
just I would have hired you becauseyou're probably cheap in your last and at
that point you didn't have your papers, did you. Uh? You you
should rename your new venture to theBill handle Putts cast. It's true.
No, it's uh, it's youknow. I mean, I do a
fair amount of joking. Not thatI grew up in a wealthy home,
because I did not. I grewup in a very middle class home.

(06:20):
But you know, gardeners did thework. And if you handle it right,
if you hire the gardener at theright time of the week, the
gardener takes out the trash. Well, I grew up with a with a
Mexican gardener. It was my dad. Well there you are. Why don't
we get at it? Guys?Okay, anyway, the photo me and

(06:42):
that U haul truck. You wantme to post it? Sure? Yeah,
post. I haven't seen it yet, so you know what do me?
Favorite? I texted to me first, do you want the one with
you giving the bird or the onewithout? You know, the one with
the one with me giving the bird. I think I put them both up.
I don't care. Uh, it'sthat you don't see you don't see
that again? Me and the driver'sseat of a U halt our calendar.
This one this is the first andlast time that's ever happened. Okay,

(07:04):
guys, you ready to do it? Okay? Yeah, we digress.
So here we go handle on thenews on this Taco Tuesday lead story.
A couple of very interesting things goingon in the Mid East. Thing Number
one we talked about this yesterday whereAnthony Blincoln has said is now Hamas has

(07:28):
to come to the table because Israelhas caved in or offered very generous terms.
Originally it was forty hostages against Palestinians. Now they're down to thirty three
hostages, and I think an eightweek ceasefire Hamas, of course, once
all the Palestinians returned, a withdrawalfrom Goza one hundred percent, and then
they'll start talking kind of thing. So we'll see now Hamas, we're hearing

(07:54):
some little bits and pieces. Also, yesterday there was another strike in Rafa.
It just keeps ongoing. That hasnot stopped. The air bombardment keeps
ongoing. And Nettagnal who said yesterdayIsrael will enter Rafa with or without a
deal. So how do you havea negotiation after you you don't? You
don't. That's the problem. IfHamas says yes, I think Nettagno,

(08:18):
who wants to go after Rafa,he does not care for two reasons.
Number one, I think he genuinelybelieves that Hamas is an existential threat to
Israel. He takes them at theirword that they are there for the destruction
of Israel. That is their cause, that's their reason they're even in existence.

(08:41):
And number two, he believes andhe wants to stay in power at
and he will not stay in powerexcept for the hard right coalition that he's
put together. You put those twotogether and this is gonna be pretty eminent.
And we're going to talk more aboutthis at seven o'clock. What's going
on with colleges all over the countryand it's just it's wild, and we'll

(09:03):
do that. Well, we'll dothat at seven and ramifications of everything going
on in Israel. More and morestudents are protesting on campuses, and now
at Columbia University, they're breaking andentering and have taken over a building.
They've barricaded entrances into the building,They've unfurled a Palestinian flag. They locked

(09:26):
arms in front of Hamilton Hall earlyyesterday and then took care furniture and carried
medical metal barricades into the building andsay they're not coming out until the university
meets its demands. Yeah, nowthis gets interesting. I'm going to talk
more about this at seven o'clock becausethis has already morphed in many ways.
Not only is a protest against Israelpro Palestinian protest, but has also morphed

(09:50):
into a protest in favor of theprotesters themselves. Effectively, how dare you
stop US from ex our First Amendmentrights. And this is so clear cut
to me, I'm missing something wherepeople are saying, well, there's this
very thin line and the First Amendmentis nebulous here. No it's not.

(10:11):
No, it's not. It's asclear cut as you can get. And
I'll share that more with you whenwe come back on that one. We'll
do that at seven o'clock. Allright. The world is watching Israel.
Israeli officials are sounding increasingly concerned thatthe International Criminal Court could issue rest wards
for their leaders more than six monthsinto the Israel Hamas War. Yeah.

(10:35):
Now that sounds horrific, doesn't it. Because you got one hundred and twenty
four countries that are signed onto theInternational the International Court. Now, who
isn't Israel, the United States,Russia, China, we won't sign on.
Why is that? Because the peopleare crazy, That's why they wanted.
For example, during the go Forar, you know, there were a

(10:56):
couple of three instances of some realatrocity is happening. I remember Abu gra
remember that that the prison uh andso the International Criminal Court issue a warrant
for the President of the United Statesas well as leaders of the military to
try them as war criminals. How'dthat go? Well, no one paid

(11:20):
attention, as in Israel's going togo. You charge all you want.
We couldn't care less. So there'sthat. It's a point, don't you
think in this particular climate that it'snot so much that they have power as
much as the motion is already movingon college campuses. And it's that match

(11:41):
this story. Yeah, and itis. I'm going to talk about that
at seven o'clock. But I'll tellyou who's never been charged with crimes criminal
trial? Kim Jonglin has never beentried, has never been charged. He's
just small understood. Yeah, that'swell said. He is simply misunderstood.
Iran has not been charged even afterthey stone women to death. That seems

(12:03):
to be okay. Yeah, atseven o'clock. That's a very good point
you bring up. We're really goingto dive into that saving lives and saving
money. So California is going tobuy over the counter naloxone for twenty four
dollars a pack, which is abouthalf of the market price for narcan,
and they say that they're going tomake it available to first responders, universities,

(12:28):
and other qualifying organizations. For freethe generic version, or buying the
generic version will allow the state tobuy three point two million twin packs of
the drug instead of two million athad bought at a previous price. And
then they're distributing it so we cansave people from oding on fentonment. Yeah,
and now I have a question.First of all, is narcan already

(12:50):
in every ambulance that's out there?Right? There's no things any ambulance service,
the MT service that doesn't have narcanfirst respond? I guess fire people
that's those are the paramedics, cops. I would think universities have them.
I would guess student centers have themavailable all over. They have them in

(13:11):
vending machines. So this would seehere's the problem. You go for free,
and if it's free, everybody justgrabs packages of them and cleans them
out in case you need fifty doses, yeah, in case you want to
take home. It's like whenever wegive swag, when we used to give
swag at the KFI events. Neil'sbeen there where we have these booths,
right, we have the of course, and how I started, Yeah,

(13:35):
there'd be big bowls of key chainsand stuff, and people would reach in
and grab a handful, look atthem, go nah and throw them right
back because it was KFI, youknow, such fantastic quality stuff. Do
you remember the T shirts you usedto make Neil for people. Oh yeah,
we used to give away T shirts. Now. The problem was they
were all made in Pakistan, ofcourse, and the kids who made them
we got three cents an hour ofchild labor and you couldn't actually, for

(13:58):
example, sweat in them or haveany water because the dye would run.
But they were really neat. Westill give away T shirt. You just
have to wear it and pass itto the next person. Kiss Kiss is
going to pay your bills for sixmonths. Then we're going, Hey,
f the first sixteen collars, thefirst six the caller number sixteen gets a

(14:22):
T shirt and it turns out tobe a Kiss T shirt. Because they
won't pay for it, we doa build it your yourself and we give
you a white T shirt and orangeand gray and black pen and you just
write it on there. You know, as we joke about that, every
word of that is true. Peoplelike DIY because we're paying it. We're

(14:43):
paying your freaking invoices bill. That'sthe problem. All right, Hey,
you got your bird flu and mybeef. You've got your beef and my
bird flu. Mm. Two greattastes that tastes great together. Food safe.
The officials say that they're testing beefright now, including ground beef from
grocery stores, for what the presenceof H five and one bird flew virus

(15:09):
that's spreading in dairy cattle. Butyou know what happens to dairy cattle once
it can't I don't know if thecows get sick, but there's a Last
night on the news, they reportedthat a couple of dolphins who had died
had died of the bird flu thatit is now. No. Did did

(15:31):
you hear that, Amy? No? I think it was on ABC.
ABC News reported that, how thehell does that happen? I don't know
how the hell cows get it well, cows and chickens can hang out together.
I get that much. I don'tknow. I don't know how that
happened, but I know that's legitimate. You may want to look that up
whether I don't know if that's corroboratedby anybody else, but ABC News did

(15:52):
point that out. Instead of hamburgerhelper, be dolphin helper right next to
it on the shelves of the store. But no, I think this is
for real. A bottle nose dolphinin Florida became the most recent mammal to
die from the highly pathogenic bird flu. What sweeping the country? How did
it get in? I don't know. Well, you don't eat any tuna.

(16:18):
That tuna is in quotes. Youknow, I've always wondered about that.
You know, that tuna without dolphinmeaning it. I need it and
it just doesn't taste the same.Stop stop, he's right, as the
FOURK reporter, I approved this message. Well, I'll believe it when I
see it. Apparently, President Bidenand Mexican President Andre Manuel Lopez Obrador got

(16:45):
on a phone call on Saturday, and after the phone call, they issued
a joint statement saying the two leadershave ordered their national security teams to work
together to immediately implement concrete measures tosignificantly reduce irregular border crossings while protecting human
rights. What are we gonna doabout mariachi bands at Mexican restaurants? It's

(17:06):
a matter with you. And whatthe hell is irregular crossing? I know
right what it's like, because theycan't use the word illegal. No,
I mean because it's no, Ican't come to wokeness. You can't do
it. That's not what I'm talkingabout. To me. It's like,
Okay, the regular crossings we're gonnalet go. But the irregular are you

(17:29):
know, above and beyond the normalamount of it is not it is.
I will tell you irregular crossings arecrossings that are not legal, that are
not pursuing to law. Because youcannot use the word illegal. You can't
use the word all that you know, it's can I tell you that's that's
the world today. You know, when I go to the store, am

(17:51):
I unhoused? If you're not comingno, no, if you're not coming
from a house or live in adomicile that you actually sleep it at night,
yes, you are unhoused. Downyou know what at that moment,
Come on, there are some peoplewith some pretty nice huts in my neighborhoods

(18:12):
two story alrighty, an attempt toserve a warrant man, What a horrible
situation turned deadly yesterday? Did yousee this? Deputy US Marshall three other
members of a task force all shotand killed while trying to serve this one
warrant in Charlotte. Yeah, theguy who was shooting. His story was

(18:33):
the guy who was shooting was killedin the front front yard of the house,
but shot more shots were fired frominside the house. Whatever happened to
that? I know there was astandoff, Amy how did that end?
I know the guy was shot, but how about the other people in the
house. Then they took two peopleinto custody for questioning. So it ended
after an hour's long standoff. Butapparently the marshals who went in to serve

(18:59):
the warrant got shot, and thenmore officers came in for backup to try
to get them, and then somebodyelse fired shots from inside. Wow.
Really tragic. It is the strictestin the nation abortion ban is about to
go into effect. The abortion banin Florida will drop the state's current fifteen

(19:22):
week ban to six. Last weekor last year, one out of three
abortions in the South, about onein twelve nationwide, happened in Florida.
Yeah. This six week business isreally interesting because they're saying you can have
women can't have an abortion in thefirst six weeks. Yeah, but who
knows in the first six exactly,No one knows. They are pregnant or

(19:42):
very few people know they're pregnant unlessyou're trying to get pregnant, and you
tree, then you're looking at basalbody temperatures and you're looking at the pregnancy
tests and all that. But shortof that, no, you don't.
We woman doesn't know she's pregnant ornot. So it's effectively it's a ban
abortion Arizona. By the way, they did unravel that bill in Arizona.

(20:03):
Did that? Did the governor signthat? Amy? Do we know whether
they had passed in one house andwent over to the other one where it's
expected to I don't believe. Iwant to get the timeline there, all
right. I bet you there's goingto be something that comes up with a
home test that you can check tosee if you're pregnant in those early you
know, someone's going to combat thiswith tech. There are home tests like

(20:29):
if you don't suspend or worry aboutit, like every time you have sex,
you take as I said, andyou're looking to get pregnant, Yeah,
if you're a single person or something, or you're married and don't want
children, And that's what I justhad for you know, for example,
because of so much fear of COVID. I was taking the home tests all
the time, and you know, unfortunately, it's not pregnant. You are

(20:52):
pregnant. I got I missed.I conflated the test strangely enough, really
test the whole time. Yeah, all I found out is I wasn't pregnant.
And that was it. It was. It was Taco Tuesday. We
want pregnant. That happens to thebest of US European Union officials. They're
investigating meta. Everybody's poking over theirmeta concerns of course, that the company

(21:17):
hasn't done enough to protect the upcomingEuropean Union elections or worse, combat foreign
disinformation on the platforms. They're settingup the possibility of steep fines or other
penalties so they, you know, the European Union may slap them. Oh

(21:37):
yeah, what happens in Europe.First of all, they're much stricter on
this sort of thing. And secondof all, when they come down with
fines the European Union, when theUS come down comes down with fines,
the ftc or Department of Justice, whatever, it's basically a loose change under
the couch in the in the couchpillows kind of thing when they when Europe
does it, it's tens of millionsof dollars. They don't screw around.

(22:03):
So if the story goes it's fromCNM dot dot com. As you just
mentioned, up to six percent ofMeta's global revenue. What is meant to
do a year? Two hundred billiona year, three hundred billion a year?
Can you imagine? I mean nowthat wakes you up? Yeah,
I know, but the money isall weirdly named, so it doesn't sound

(22:25):
bad. They're like, you oweus fall trillion topens and then it's like,
what get fall trillion topens? Yeah, unfortunately that's in euros, and
euros are that's fine, and eurosare stronger than the dollars. So what
does that tell you? It's abouta dollar five five got jillion cumping willy

(22:45):
wonk up pences. That's funny.Well, this is a gutsy move.
The World Central Kitchen says it's goingback going into Gaza to try to feed
Palestinians. About a month ago, seven of its staffers were killed in an
Israeli airstrike and that caused them topull out. They basically said, we

(23:07):
got to get out, it's notsafe. But now they're going back.
Yeah, World's Central Kitchen. Thecelebrity chef Jose Andres, who's just a
fascinating guy, and he has restaurantsHe've ever eaten in of his restaurants are
tourific. I think there's one inthe w Bizarre is out of one Andrea's
restaurant down on the West Side. The Bazaar is no longer around in Beverly
Hills, but that was I thinkone of you. You know how big

(23:32):
this thing is. The According toUSA today, they're preparing two hundred and
seventy six trucks of food to gointo Gaza. This is the guy sat
Yeah, he really is. He'sbecome and I think I don't even know
if he cooks anymore. They evendo business anymore? Is yeah, oh
yeah, no, No. Thequestion I'm asking is he just so committed

(23:53):
to this, very committed, buthe does still have restaurants. It's like
Bruno. Bruno went from a restaurantowner of a highly successful restaurant who did
Katerina's Club on the side where heis basically runs Katerina Club and he happens
to have a restaurant. It's justthe whole mindset has changed where and I

(24:15):
put Bruno in the same category toObviously the numbers are less, but it's
these guys, there's extraordinary people wherethey dive into this and the charity becomes
their life and it's extraordinary stuff. It really is. You have to give
him a lot of credit for that. And his food is great, by
the way, both of them. The Supreme Court says, shut the Musk

(24:37):
up to Elon, he needs tobe careful about what he pote. Enjoy
that did you? I did? That was funny. I'm there for you,
Amy. So the Supreme Court justyesterday declined to review the restrictions of
the Security Exchange Commission put on Musk'ssocial media posts. He tends to say
things that causes all kinds of problems. So this was part of a twenty

(25:00):
eighteen settlement agreement, and you know, he'd ask the court, hey,
can you decide if the agreement violatesmy free speech? And they go no,
yeah, if you have this question, he settled, and then he
turns around and going, yeah,I made a deal, but I want
to undo that part of the dealthat he already agreed to. That is

(25:21):
kind of kind of weird. Also, this is are crazy man he is.
And then and what he did wasfoh he did a public company.
I mean he owns the majority shareor doesn't know the majority, but he
owns enough to control the entire company, of course. And he posted on
x he said, AM considering takingTesla private at four hundred and twenty dollars

(25:42):
a share, funding secured. Hedidn't have funding secured. And based on
what he said, the stock justexploded or it certainly was given a very
healthy rise. And it turned outnone of that was true. Of course,
that's a violation of SEC rules andthat's not free speech at all.
No, no, no, hehad to pay a twenty million dollar fine,

(26:03):
but that's nothing and step down aschairman. Is he back as chairman?
I don't even know, or theyhave another chairman of Tesla? I
don't know. That's like yelling firein a Tesla factory, right, yes,
and an exploding battery factory that Teslahas. Yes, Ozempic to the
rescue, not only helping thousands ofpeople lose weight, it could save GNC.

(26:30):
So G and C is the vitaminand dietary supplement chain. It's been
struggling for a long time, butnow they're saying that they help a new
strategy directed at the people who aretaking the GLP one drugs like ozempic and
wigov. He's going to save thembecause they're adding a dedicated section to all

(26:51):
twenty three hundred stores in the USthat have vitamins, protein shakes, and
supplements tailored for the people taking thosesupplements, and also will be training their
staff to know about the common sideeffects of taking these weight loss drugs so
they can help them deal with those. I mean, look at this when
you think about it. It's notto sell the drug per se because they
can't obviously a prescription drug, andGMC is all supplements and vitamins and crap.

(27:15):
But it's we're going to have aentire area dedicated to those folks who
do use this drug. That's howbig this market is going to be.
And is people take this like stufflike crazy? Yeah, well it's not
hard to believe GNC had problems whentheir main focus was to give you incredibly

(27:37):
expensive urine. Yeah. Pretty mucheverything they sell just kind of comes out
of your your wien. All right, lottery winner, this is a great
story. Yeah, is it changsafe and immigrant? He's battling cancer eight
years, been battling it. Andhe's among three including his wife, who

(27:57):
won one point three million or billiondollar ball ticket. And you know his
response was, I'm going to finda good doctor or bastard is going to
get every quack on the planet. Now, of course the stor scene,
I can cure you with the rightamount of don't you don't you love these
stories when these lottery winners are thesepeople who are either immigrants or poor guys,

(28:22):
and just changes, who do youwant to hear winning one billion dollar
jackpot? You know a guy whomakes eight hundred thousand dollars a year as
a senior official with some organization. Now, this is wonderful, great story,
It really is. Oh what whoa? Whoa? What was what was
that? It was just I'm runninga town to see your heart just times

(28:45):
I was channeling somebody else, probablyyou, Neil, just for a moment.
And I please, for those ofyou that have listened to the show
for any length of time, Ihumbly apologize for that outburst that will never
happen again. A Grea seple,I think we're done, guys, KF
