Kiwi film lovers and fans of Middle-Earth will know today is an important anniversary. 
It's been 20 years since the first Lord of the Rings movie premiered. 
The Fellowship of the Ring started a global film franchise, but helped put New Zealand on the map in the film industry. 
As well as this, Hobbiton has become an international tourist attraction.
