I’ve heard this before, actually many times, but I needed to hear it explained this way: “Don’t be a thermometer that reflects the room. Be a thermostat that changes it. Stay grounded, set the tone & bring the energy you want others to feel. Measure the atmosphere if you must — but don’t stop there. Change it.” The clip he shared was from Devante Warner (@thedevantewarner). Love the strength and courage of being the person that brings peace into chaos. Brings faith into doubt. The more we can learn to be the thermostat in our lives, the more control we can have in situations where others are only the thermometer. Such an amazing and powerful mindset to have.
