In Mark 4:1–34, Jesus teaches in parables to reveal truths about the kingdom of God. He begins with the Parable of the Sower, describing how different types of soil represent different responses to God's word—only the good soilproduces lasting fruit. When His disciples ask why He speaks in parables, Jesus explains that they both reveal and conceal spiritual truth, depending on the listener's heart. He also shares the Parable of the Lamp, encouraging believers to shine the light of truth, and the Parables of the Growing Seed and the Mustard Seed, illustrating the mysterious and unstoppable growth of God's kingdom.
