Speaker 3 (00:31):
Gross Friday, you are looking live at Toasty To's Championship

It is a beautiful sixty two degrees. It's sunny.

The hoy today is sixty five. The load to day
is forty seven. I am Shannon, this is Nate, Chris
is in the back. That's all we got today.
Speaker 6 (00:58):
That's all we got other sports talk equivalent of braille. People, Wow, when.
Speaker 5 (01:05):
When we speak brought to each and every day by
Wingstop where Flavorite gets its We may have a special
visitor on the show here in just a little bit.
But uh, Kurt had some things to do. And then Jesse,
in true Jesse form, got his information mixed up and
thought he was going to be at the Star and
(01:25):
wound up being at the stadium.
Speaker 6 (01:27):
He's at and t stadium.
Speaker 5 (01:29):
He is helping uh Danny mcraye out with his football camp,
so he thought he was going to be able to
double dip today at the start, it wound up being
out there, so.
Speaker 6 (01:37):
You got he went from ten dollars to win double.
Speaker 7 (01:41):
His double dip delight did not not work out in
the old Jesse form did not.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
But so me and Nate will be flying solo today.
How you doing, Nate?
Speaker 6 (01:50):
I'm doing great, man. It's been a while. Man.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I just finished another show man while dealing with a
dude man and we got through it a dude yeah,
and then uh, you know, I just shout because I
don't know Jesse upset, Uh do a great vine. We get,
we get up, we get Kyle supposed to step in here,
and I'm like cal un Chris said, well we need.
Speaker 6 (02:13):
Another another guy. I'm like, you know, he could be Kurt.
I'm like, if he's gonna be curty, you need to
show up. That's all right.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Well do you want to be Jesse?
Speaker 6 (02:25):
Oh that would be nice if he's.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
Just he's like, I need to take this show off
because he just did one with with Uh you didn't
even change chairs, did you know?
Speaker 6 (02:36):
Purple Man he keeps me right, Just keeps me right.
Speaker 8 (02:39):
Bro.
Speaker 6 (02:40):
I move Mickey.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Yeah, that's Mickey's chair and always said, no I'm making
anything to agitate me.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
Just get one here and there.
Speaker 5 (02:50):
Ah, what are your thoughts on uh the word came
out last night that uh c D shutting it down
for the year.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
And I'm not surprised. He got his he got his
h he got his milestones.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
You know, sure there was some kind of incentives in
there somewhere money wise, And I mean, you proved you're tough,
you played through it that, I mean you're you're definitely hurt, right, Yes,
you showed some grit and some moxie and you know,
got the respect of you know, the fans and your teammates.
And why risk further pain and torture. You're out of
(03:26):
it mathematically. Yeah, you want to win the game, but
at what cost?
Speaker 6 (03:30):
Right? So you play to win the game? Right?
Speaker 5 (03:34):
If you play, if you play and also play at
this point to for the longevity of your career, if
you need to.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Right, good, So I thank you. I'm not surprised. So
what are your thoughts on it? I would do the
same thing.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
I would, you know, go ahead, and if you got
to have surgery. Get that surgery early, get it knocked out, whatever,
whatever the case may be, get your treatment started early.
You did what you needed to do, and you know, gracefully,
young fellas step up and let's see what you got.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
I look at this season, man, Uh, it has some
growing pains. And y'all since training camp, I've been like
a soft rebuild. And I knew coach was gonna take
some heat, and I knew mister Jones and his organization
was going to take some heat. But we coming to
the end of it. We're not where we need to be.
(04:28):
We were not even close, you know. But we've learned
some things about this team and character, and we've seen
some things where CD came at the beginning of the year,
not one game, but a couple of games, moaning, groaning
and throw me the ball and I'm this and I'm that,
and he came to the people and say you would
(04:49):
see a different seed man. And the kid stayed with
his word. We saw a great Zach Martin give everything
thing he had and uh to the point where they
made him get off the field.
Speaker 6 (05:06):
They made him get off the field. Uh.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
So maybe that's the ending. Maybe that we don't know.
We've seen DeMarcus Lawrence give everything he had to the
point where he injured hisself. Maybe it's the end, maybe
it's not. But now we saw a few guys rise up.
Cooper BB, I can't think, get help me out with
the right guard. Uh there, Chris Uh all right guard?
Speaker 6 (05:34):
All right guard? Now the little mean guy.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
I just went blank.
Speaker 6 (05:40):
Yeah, I went blank on our right guard hair. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
We saw the rise of broad blank too, thanks Josh.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
We went to the rise of brock Hoffman. That's the
girl you didn't want to hire, giving you giving you
the update.
Speaker 6 (05:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
But anyway, we we we we we we.
Speaker 6 (06:00):
Saw it was Josh back there with Jazz. Okay, that
was Josh.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Yeah, Okay, anyway, Josh, Josh, why do you gotta get
me on that?
Speaker 6 (06:12):
Yeah? But anyway, we saw the rise of a few players. Uh.
And and and that's the great thing about going through.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
A a soft reveal like this is you You got
a chance to see Austin Riches uh, a doga show
to be better than what I thought he was.
Speaker 6 (06:32):
Just guys. Uh, you saw a defense scrow up.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
You saw kneeling, get hurt and come back and then
be effective. You saw Chauncey Goldston grow before your eyes.
Uh you found a new respect for Jordan Lewis that
all that I've always had We've always yeah, yeah, yeah
we have, and and MASI it's getting better and small steps,
(07:00):
but he's getting better. So when I look at this season,
I just think of it wasn't great, but by you
playing all of these young guys due to injury, due
to lack of performance by other guys, We've seen this
thing grow. And we just had a nineteen sixty five
(07:21):
cowboy outfit wing guy just walked in.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
Nineteen sixty five.
Speaker 6 (07:26):
Welcome to the Cowboy.
Speaker 4 (07:27):
Cowboy Joe, Yeah, Cowboy Joe.
Speaker 6 (07:31):
On our show.
Speaker 9 (07:31):
Oh yeah, that it was way back when I was
just starting. I mean, you were the and I will
never forget this. You were like the only host and
show when I was running the podcast and producing the
podcast in the bag that would let me get involved
before I was on.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Air by any stretch of the imagination.
Speaker 9 (07:50):
So I would get involved, and I was on the
pick'ems and stuff like that, and then a couple of
times I filled in, I think when Kurt wasn't available,
I filled in and popped on.
Speaker 6 (07:59):
But it's been in a minute.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
How's it going, good man, Kyle Yeomen's welcome to the show,
so much.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Clapping hands up. We're gonna give him the big up
slow foret. We'll do that in the second hood.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
I'm give him the slur giving your blizzies in the
in the big rolfs.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
So it's been established before when you were making your
way down here. We need you to be somewhere between
normal Kyle, Jesse and Kurt. We don't need you to
be as quiet as Kurt, we don't need you to
be as talkative as Jess as Jesse, and we need
you to tone it down a little more than what
you normally have it because we need to stay on time.
Chris said, you have a problem within the.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
Show with ending time. Yeah, on top. So if you
can just get.
Speaker 6 (08:39):
Chris ready to go, Chris a scouting for out.
Speaker 4 (08:44):
Take shots at me too, shots at everybody, so start.
Speaker 6 (08:49):
They called me the sniper for a reason.
Speaker 5 (08:51):
Nate defended you because Chris said we need him to
be Kurt on the show, and Nate said you might
as well.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
Not even because I.
Speaker 6 (08:59):
Always write a magazine, I'm thinking like a player.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
I'll always put people.
Speaker 6 (09:04):
In the slots yeah, I'm like skills.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
So when they said Coyle, I'm kind of frowned, like Coyle,
I'm thinking host. We got a host. And he said,
now he'll be Kurt, and I said, what not. We
definitely be Kurt, you know, seeing.
Speaker 9 (09:16):
And Nate knows that in terms of time, yes, if
I'm intentional on the time, yes, then we're hitting the time.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
That we've got it on TV hard out. It's a podcast.
Speaker 6 (09:29):
You got the guys.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
Rolling, you know. In other words, Chris, he doesn't care
if you get to go.
Speaker 6 (09:35):
To the bathroom.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
No, he doesn't. Actually, well, I think by this point
Beam knows.
Speaker 9 (09:39):
He's like, I'll just wait until after storyline, Like I'll
hold it intil storylines over.
Speaker 4 (09:44):
And we'll make it happen.
Speaker 6 (09:45):
I can't do it.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
I can't do anything on storyline. I'm kind of stuck
on that show. We appreciate you coming down.
Speaker 5 (09:51):
We were just talking about CD shutting it down early,
and then Nate was kind of going through, did a
really good job of like some things that this season
kind of some line speaking of storyline that this season
told us that two things I think for me that
that really stood out, that that.
Speaker 4 (10:08):
You kind of touched on briefly as one.
Speaker 5 (10:11):
I think it's been a long time, probably since Witton left,
since you've looked at this team as tough. And he
was talking about Zach Martin playing through something that he
probably played longer than he should have and they had
to make him sit down, and CD, regardless if he
was doing it for the stats or whatever, showed a
lot of heart, you know, and the team never quit.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
They never gave up.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
And we've seen this team before in the past, past teams,
not this team, but you know, quit give up. We've
you know, we've seen him not fight through injuries. And
then you know, it's very rare that you see, you know,
a leopard change its spots or tiger change its stripes.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
And he was talking about CD early and here being
a little bit of.
Speaker 5 (10:51):
A diva and throwing me the ball, and he got
out from the public said I'm going to be different,
and I think he the fans that he may have
lost in that period, won even more fans over and
probably the respect of his teammates by whatever his reason
and motivation.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
He was hurting, man, he was hurt.
Speaker 6 (11:07):
You can see it.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
Yeah, and he you know, he showed like I'm a
tough dude, because I've never looked at him as a
tough guy. I looked at him as, you know, he's
not really he's not a big guy. He's slim, he's athletic,
but I've never looked at him as a you know,
go a Michael IRVN type, go take a hit across
the middle.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
I look at him like I would line him.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
Up against any receiver now as far as he's got
that des Bryant toughness now to me.
Speaker 9 (11:30):
So yeah, without the does Briant frame too like you're
talking about, He's not the physical go up and get
it and over the middle of the field and take
a hit and run with it sort of guy. He's
always been flexible from a physical standpoint, right. I Mean,
there's reason why he's only missed one game. He's gonna
miss more games over the next two weeks than he
has throughout his entire career. That's that says something to
(11:51):
me at the wide receiver position in today's day and
age of the NFL, if you're missing one game since
from twenty twenty to twenty twenty four, that means you
you're pretty aren't tough? And then you see it in
the physical standpoint of what it went through with the
AC joint and playing through that and gritting it out
in what was a meaningless game for your playoff hopes.
You were already eliminated, you're already out, but you fought
(12:13):
through it in the whole first half of that game
against Tampa Bay.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
It proved a lot to me, and I agree with you.
Speaker 9 (12:18):
I think in the past, we've seen teams either lay down,
not necessarily Cowboys teams, but NFL teams when you're eliminated
or you have a very slim chance to go to
the postseason. You see teams lay down, and that's when
you lose a locker room and you lose the motivation,
you lose a mentality. You haven't seen that from this team,
(12:39):
and that's why I give a lot of credit to
the leaders and the coaching staff, because a lot of your.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
Leaders are out.
Speaker 9 (12:44):
You don't have Dak, you don't have Zach Martin, you
don't have DeMarcus Lawrence, you don't have a lot of
the guys that are clamored to be the leaders of
your football team. However, you're still winning four or five
games down the stretch, and you're doing so in a gritty, tough,
physical way, and it's been impressed to watch.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
All right, let's take our first break.
Speaker 5 (13:02):
When we come back, we'll talk a little bit about
the Philly game and what you guys think. And then Kyle,
you're on the show, so you have to have a
score prediction, so make sure I got one.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
You give us that before.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
And since you're sending Jessee ce, you gotta give us more.
We'll explain that all fair.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
Yeah, and then Chris, get Josh's before he gets out
of there, because he usually sneaks out on us before
before we'll get his.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
So Jazz already got out of there on us, So
get everybody's in the back. We will be back at
the second segment. I'm hanging with the boys.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Hold On Man, we got some breaking news this year.
I ain't never heard people listen than it is. Control
your kids.
Speaker 6 (16:02):
Tell me about the portal.
Speaker 9 (16:05):
We had a college football conversation in the middle of
the break and we're talking about the transfer portal affecting
these bowl games.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
Uh huh oh, it's unbelievable.
Speaker 6 (16:13):
And so what happened to Marshall?
Speaker 9 (16:14):
So Marshall won the Sun Belt Conference title and basically
their coach at the end of it was at the
end of his contract. They did not renew him, and
after winning a conference championship, which Marshall does not do
on a normal basis, the first time in over a
decade that they had won a title, they they did
not renew him. He left, takes the job at Southern
(16:35):
miss and they had more than twenty five players hit
the portal before their bowl game, so they had to
pull out of the bowl game Independence Bowl against Army,
had to pull out of it entirely. Louisiana Tech takes
it as a five and seventeam, so they go.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
Down the streets. Why Tech was in them because that's
my stop over.
Speaker 12 (16:54):
Bowl.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Yeah, yeah, Tech's and Rustin, right.
Speaker 6 (16:56):
They got to do something. Spend way too much time.
They got to do something with the portal.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
They got to reposition it with does not affect the
income and revenue.
Speaker 6 (17:04):
Of a lot of schools.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
A lot of schools be able to pay these kids
coming out of this, So that's just that is important
to me.
Speaker 6 (17:13):
I'm sorry, y'all, but we.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
It's pretty wild the nil and transfer portal.
Speaker 9 (17:17):
I think both individually as they exist by themselves are
good for college football, but coexisting, I think they're night.
Speaker 5 (17:24):
It blows my mind that the NCAA went from you
can't buy a kid a sandwich on his visit.
Speaker 6 (17:31):
Yes too, we.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
Don't want to touch anything, just go do.
Speaker 5 (17:34):
What you want to do after and transfer eighty five
times and ruin programs and like, I mean, they it
was almost like they were little kids, going, you.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
Know what, Okay, fine, we just won't do anything. Just
go y'all, go do it whatever. Oh man.
Speaker 9 (17:49):
But anyway, and all the opt outs before the bowl
games right ninety Of course, it used to be opt
out from the major names because they're going to the NFL. Right,
if you're not in the College Football Playoff, you opt
out for your bowl game, not getting hurt going into
the NFL draft. Now ninety percent of bowl optouts or
because they're hitting the portal before the bowl game even happens.
Speaker 6 (18:09):
Yes, they gotta do something.
Speaker 5 (18:10):
Yeah, that's pretty bad, bad because you're you're messing with
TV money and everything.
Speaker 6 (18:14):
YESPN does not like it that.
Speaker 5 (18:17):
Yeah, when you when you piss off sponsors, Believe me,
I'm very familiar with that.
Speaker 4 (18:21):
You you don't want to do that. Yeah, speaking of sponsors.
Speaker 5 (18:24):
Yeah, speaking of sponsors, and one we don't want to
piss off Kyle. Yeah, go down the street, Yes to
seven eleven right here on Parkwood and gay.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
Lord, I go there all the time.
Speaker 6 (18:37):
You do you?
Speaker 5 (18:37):
Yeah, would get you your favorite item from the roller grill, Yes,
and enjoy a big gulp big golf, sir, for just
eighty nine cents valid of participating stores. Fill up at
pump eight and get game day ready.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
And the food that you eat off of the roller
grill will at least make you pump three times.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
At least, so Jesse, So you know what asked Kyle.
You know what pump eight is. Pump eight is.
Speaker 5 (19:04):
Jesse will not put gas in his car unless it's
at pump eight. If he goes to a gas he
goes to a gas station that doesn't have a pump eight,
he leaves if someone sitting in pump eight, he said,
he's always done it. It's been it's a it's a
Kobe thing, right, yes, Kobe Kobe thing. And then Kurt,
you know the North Carolina connections, Yes, so, and.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
Then Kurt's it's three pumped Kurt Daniels.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
So yeah, yeah, five kids for five years.
Speaker 6 (19:28):
We just found out I thought a lot.
Speaker 9 (19:31):
I had three off of one, so one one hitter
twitter right there.
Speaker 4 (19:38):
Hey, three kids were done.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
I'm Steph Curry, and you have two boys and a girl,
which is the perfect way to do. Two older two older,
two brothers to take care of the little girl and
you can be.
Speaker 9 (19:48):
Like she was born first, so she has that over them.
She was she was at three oh two. She's the
only came at three oh five or three or four
and three oh five.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
That is insane. How's life? By the way, is it calmed?
How old are they?
Speaker 6 (19:58):
Ten? Ten months? Okay?
Speaker 9 (20:00):
Then they're fun now oh yeah, we're in like the
giggly smiley happy period.
Speaker 6 (20:06):
It's fun. Yeah, yeah, they're crawling. Is it still stressful?
Speaker 4 (20:11):
I can't imagine doing that out of the gate?
Speaker 6 (20:12):
The first full it's pretty wild.
Speaker 5 (20:15):
No sleep and one you get one quiet and fin
and then the I can't even imagine it.
Speaker 9 (20:19):
Yeah, last night we had to split them up because
they kept waking each other up.
Speaker 6 (20:23):
Like we had.
Speaker 9 (20:24):
We had some friends over and we for the holidays,
some family over and we opened up a solo stove.
Speaking of sponsors, we had a Cowboys solo stove and
fired it up. We're roasting marshmallows and having a day,
and then we had the monitor up and they kept
waking each other up in the middle of it, and
because of that, we had to put my daughter in
our room and keep the boys in the nursery. And
(20:44):
it's just like that was how we had to go
with the rest of the night. So then we had
the tiptoe again when we went back into bed.
Speaker 6 (20:50):
It's just, yeah, it's a while. Good for you, man,
it's got to be.
Speaker 5 (20:53):
We're super blested, but it is a lot tiresome but
amazing at the same time.
Speaker 9 (20:57):
I'm sure if you I mean, we've got crossover listeners
from talking, and I'm sure, but there's a lot of
times on talking where I'm just like, gosh, yeah, today
was one of those days.
Speaker 5 (21:06):
I was dead yesterday, and so you've got a lot
more going on to the weather.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
He got me yesterday. I think I was kind of
you're done.
Speaker 5 (21:16):
I was done, all right, you know what, Let's ask
Kyle because we've talked about this on our show and
since we're since we're you know, we told Kyle he
didn't need to talk that much.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
And now I'm encouraging talk.
Speaker 6 (21:27):
Yeah, we can be at Jesse. You're used to looking
over here.
Speaker 5 (21:30):
Yeah, well Jesse does it unprompted that Jesse just rolls
and then we have to you know, and the next thing,
you know, we have a whole segment.
Speaker 6 (21:36):
We've learned.
Speaker 5 (21:37):
But we've talked You're you're the King of the Draft
Show around here, we've talked about.
Speaker 6 (21:42):
Like that title.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
Can you call me that from now on? Chris and
Chris can he be the King of the Draft Show?
Speaker 6 (21:47):
Awesome? Whatever he wants, But you are the host of
the Draft Show?
Speaker 4 (21:51):
Yeah, yeah, oh yeah, And you've been working on it
since you've been here. That's been your thing, Kyle.
Speaker 5 (21:55):
You love college football, like you said, you like high
school football. So a lot of these players you followed
and high school all the way up to draft day
and beyond. Right, what do you what would you're in
order your top four position needs for Cowboys? Like if
you were just if the best player on the board
ideally was you know, fit this position, what would your
(22:16):
positions be?
Speaker 4 (22:16):
Because I think we've all.
Speaker 5 (22:17):
Decided what do we decide defense, offensive line, defensive.
Speaker 6 (22:21):
Line, trenches, and then what.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
Were our other two wide receiver and running back in
that order.
Speaker 9 (22:27):
So you're saying you're saying positional needs in order, or
are you saying in rounds one, two, three, and four,
how would you rank him? Because I'm thinking positional value
in the draft too. Yeah, So like I'm not going
to draft, I'm very anti running back in the first
round draft you need a running back high. I'm not
saying first round if it were, I just looked it up.
(22:49):
We're picking at fifteen right now, right yep. So if
we're at fifteen, let's say that's where we end up.
You you win and lose whatever the final two games,
you're still at fifteen. You have a shot at astring out.
Speaker 6 (23:00):
Of Boise State.
Speaker 4 (23:01):
You think he'll vow that far? I think he will
because of the running back value.
Speaker 9 (23:05):
Even Jamir Gibbs when he was taken at twelve by
Detroit a couple of years ago, they were hounded for
that and it worked out, did it. Nate really liked
that guy, by the way, Jamier Gibbs, Oh, he's awesome.
He and Bjean Robinson were the two guys in that
draft and they were really good.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
I did not get that kid enough credit. Bijon, Yes, sir,
you know, oh yeah, we've talked about this.
Speaker 6 (23:24):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (23:24):
But anyway, going on and Bijon going that high, right,
that was because he was well rounded, played against the competition,
did all sorts of stuff. If Ashton gent goes off
in the college football playoff, let's say he beats.
Speaker 4 (23:35):
Penn State and he goes for two hundred plus, which
is impossible. That's there a whole offense.
Speaker 9 (23:41):
He goes to the college football semi Final, college Football Championship,
whatever it ends up being, he could go in the
top ten, and I wouldn't bat an eye at it.
But right now as we sit, I think Penn State's
gonna beat Boise State next week. If that happens, I
think he's in the mid teens or so, so.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
You have a shot at him.
Speaker 9 (23:57):
That's the only guy at running back that I would pick.
But I would love to see a running back in
the first three.
Speaker 5 (24:02):
Rounds, So you would you would rather go get a
running back than you don't think you've seen enough from
Rico to be your feature back next year, now that
they kind of figured that out a little bit.
Speaker 9 (24:10):
I'm a big advocate of Rico and I have been
as he was undrafted out of South Carolina.
Speaker 6 (24:15):
I don't.
Speaker 9 (24:16):
I'm scared about the number because he is going to
have a thousand yards.
Speaker 6 (24:20):
He's still got a lot. He's radar on the radar
now correct.
Speaker 9 (24:23):
From a National Football League standpoint, other teams will give
him a.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
Shot at a contract.
Speaker 9 (24:29):
The one thing that I don't know how he weighs
it personally, is is he going to look at it
as Dallas kept me around and gave me this opportunity
for however long.
Speaker 6 (24:39):
I mean, he was undrafted in twenty twenty. He's been
around for a minute.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
Or they waited half the season to give me it.
Speaker 9 (24:43):
Off correction, or they waited this long and wasted the
first four games of my career.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
How is he going to weigh that?
Speaker 9 (24:49):
So I'm a little concerned about the number. If the
numbers right, bring back Rico Battle please, because you need,
for lack of a better term, you need affordable talent
at the running back position, whether that's a draft pick
or whether that's Rico Dawdle. So I would say running
back high. But I'm with you guys, defensive line, offensive line,
go get you guys a future up front. I like
(25:11):
with Cooper Bebe's shown I like with brock Hoffman and TJ.
Bass have shown. I like what Tyler Smith's of course incredible.
I would love to see a right tackle. I'm not
sold on the future of Terrence Steele, and I know
he has the contract there. I'm not sold on what
Steel brings to the table. So I would love to
go see a right tackle or a swing tackle or
whoever you could do early, maybe.
Speaker 6 (25:31):
Not first round early.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
But where is this draft? What positions is this draft
deep at?
Speaker 6 (25:37):
What do you think you can get in.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
The second, third, fourth, fifth rounds?
Speaker 9 (25:42):
Linebacker? I think it's a really good linebacker class. I
think it's a good cornerback class.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
Never have too many corners or linebackers.
Speaker 6 (25:51):
No, both are good.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Oddly enough. I think it's a really deep quarterback class.
Speaker 5 (25:56):
You don't really, yeah, you think this will be the
year that the Cowboys.
Speaker 9 (25:59):
They don't for anybody other than Dak under contract fourth.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
Round or later maybe possibly, Yeah, and take a swing
at somebody. I think so.
Speaker 6 (26:06):
And they've got names.
Speaker 4 (26:07):
Let me pull up my draft board. It was the
last quarterback? Was it Dak? Is he the last quarterback
they drafted?
Speaker 8 (26:12):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (26:13):
Callen was before him?
Speaker 5 (26:15):
They drafted Dak in the fourth round, right been de
Nucci he rafted yeah, round twenty twenty.
Speaker 9 (26:21):
I think Danucci was the last guy that they drafted
the twenty five.
Speaker 6 (26:27):
Here's some of the names that that should be coming out.
Speaker 9 (26:29):
I really like there's a couple of top name guys
Shader Sanders, km War, Jalen Milroe who were all up there.
I don't think Carson Beck's gonna come out because he's
banged up and hurt and he'll probably go back again.
Dylan Gabriel is going to the Senior Bowl. Riley Leonard,
Kyle McCord from Syracuse is a guy who is at
Ohio State initially and then kind of bounced around Will
(26:50):
Howard from Ohio State now. But then you've got like
names after that that. I like Brady Cook from Missouri.
I think he's a late round guy. You've seen him
win a lot of games in the SEC previously. Jackson Dart,
Haines King from Georgia Tech. A lot of these guys
may not come out because that those decisions haven't been made.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
But it's a deep quarterback class. I'm a guy when
it comes to quarterbacks. I need for you to have
played two years of football. I'm not you want experience.
I do not want some guy that had a fly by.
Oh man, he just had a great year. No, No,
do you are you into that? Are you into the
metrics of it? Can you see? Because I've never been
(27:32):
able to pick a good quarterback, so I'm not so
but I want more years to marry you.
Speaker 9 (27:38):
For me, I'm pretty happy with kind of the the eye.
Speaker 6 (27:42):
Tests with quarterbacks previously.
Speaker 9 (27:45):
The one thing I will say is that you have
a much better hit rate if it is an experienced
quarterback and what they've done. I mean, think about Dak
Prescott wasn't highly regarded from a draft standpoint, but he's
stuck Aroun on the league and he's played at a
very high level. Lamar Jackson played at a very high
level for a long time at Louisville and won a
(28:06):
Heisman Trophy there. But then you've got the flash and
the pan guys that sometimes work out Joe Burrow, Jade
and Daniels. Jayden Daniels played four years of college football,
so I can't really say that. But Joe Burrow's got
two FSU right, yeah at LSU, he played well there,
But brother one year guys, Will Levis, Anthony Richards.
Speaker 4 (28:26):
I mean, some of those guys haven't worked.
Speaker 6 (28:27):
Out the same way, so it's hit or missing both. Well, okay,
tell me about my old line. Where are we sitting
with old line. You've got a couple guys up top
that I really like. Their top five picks. No, so
the top five guys are probably out of out of reach.
You've got a let.
Speaker 4 (28:45):
Me find my board.
Speaker 9 (28:46):
So Will Campbell from LSU is a big name that
a lot of people like. He'll probably go in the
top five to ten something like that. But then after that,
you've got a lot of options at the offensive line spot.
You've got uh Ers from Minnesota who's pretty good, Josh
Simmons from Ohio State who's played well this year. I
(29:07):
mentioned Banks who's been banged up at Texas, Cameron Williams
at Texas. I really like Wyatt Millim, that left tackle
at Texas.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Yeah Banks, Okay, yeah, he's missed last couple week. We
got to go to a break. But I need to notice,
right do you are? I'm not into reaching. I don't
like reaching. I'd rather take a position where people say,
oh no, I don't take that. If he's right on
the board right there, I run it back. You know
what I'm saying, I don't like that. Man, we got
(29:37):
to pull this guy up six or eight spots.
Speaker 6 (29:39):
I don't like that. I mean, how do you fare
as the draft? That's the draft.
Speaker 4 (29:44):
I'm always best player available. I love BPA.
Speaker 6 (29:47):
I've always been that way.
Speaker 9 (29:49):
But the one the one instance that you needed is
if it is the perfect fit from a position standpoint,
which I think Tyler Smith was a great example of that.
They a lot of draft experts thought they reached on
Tyler Smith, but he was the top player offensive line
wise on their board in a position where they absolutely
(30:10):
needed to leave the draft with a plug and play
guy at the offensive line spot. So when they made
that pick, a lot of people say they reached. They
were saying, no, we did not reach, and they had
it on their board and we knew going into it
that they were really high on Tyler Smith out of
Tulsa initially, but NFL draft circles were like.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
H probably not.
Speaker 9 (30:28):
So it depends on who's around and who's there. But yeah,
I'm saying best player available, don't reach because you think, oh,
I've got to take a guy now, and if I
wait for the next round, that's when I'm gonna get
in trouble.
Speaker 4 (30:42):
That's how you miss out on tight ends and running backs.
Speaker 5 (30:44):
So you'd rather take a let's just say linebacker where
that may not be a position of super need right now,
but sure a guy follows three or four spots below
where you had him peg instead of pulling a guy
up four or five spots for somewhere that you need
in the first couple of rounds.
Speaker 6 (31:00):
Let's say MIKEL Williams from Georgia.
Speaker 9 (31:03):
He's one of the top edge rushers in the draft,
probably going to go in the top top fifteen picks.
So we're sitting at fifteen and he's there. Would you
classify edge rusher as a number one need right now?
Speaker 6 (31:13):
Yes? I would.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
It's up there.
Speaker 9 (31:15):
I mean, because you don't know what the future holds
with DeMarcus Lawrence. You've spent some draft picks on guys
like Sam Williams and Marshawn Neeland who have flashed at times,
but still there's not a ton of uncertainty there. What's
going to happen with Mike's contract. I would take an
edge rusher at fifteen if he's the right position, right player,
But you're filling the void by taking a good football player.
Speaker 6 (31:37):
Yeah, that's what I'm always for.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
All right, let's take our last break.
Speaker 5 (31:40):
When we come back, we'll talk about the Philly game,
maybe maybe not, and then we'll ask Kyle to give
us three names that should be there around fifteen right
now that he would take in order. Here's my one, two,
and three of guys that I would take in the draft.
Because we have this in me, so we'll be right
(32:01):
backing a draft. Last segment of Hanging with Boys, be

It t will be over your desk immediately. It's Ben
walking down the hall running.
Speaker 6 (35:22):
All right.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
So Kyle, we're talking draft, because you are the king
of the draft.
Speaker 5 (35:27):
What would you who are give us some names that
if they're there at fifteen obviously realistic games, realistic names
that should be there, what position they play?
Speaker 4 (35:38):
And who you would take?
Speaker 5 (35:39):
You already said if gent fell, who would be your
give us your first choice? No, regardless of position. If
they're there, who you would take one, two, and three.
Speaker 6 (35:50):
That's tough.
Speaker 9 (35:51):
It's so far out because it's going to change, you
know what. I'm multiple times, I'm gonna go with fun.
Let's have some fun.
Speaker 4 (35:58):
Let's have fun. I'm talking forty birds or fun. Okay,
haven't drafted a receiver in the first.
Speaker 9 (36:02):
Round since twenty twenty and CD Lamb that worked out
pretty well for you and you need a number two.
Speaker 6 (36:07):
Yeah. Luther Burden, the third out of Missouri, okay, and
Zoo he's I mean, he does a little bit of everything.
Speaker 9 (36:13):
Five foot eleven, two hundred and ten pounds, he's he's
just speedy as ever. I think he's going to light
up the combine. He's going to bring some speed, some hands,
some underneath ability. Plays in the slot, can play the
X a little bit as well. They they kind of
moved him around a lot at Missouri, but I think
he would be more so a slot.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
So you would go receiver in the first round the
right fun?
Speaker 9 (36:35):
Yeah, Yeah, I like Burden a lot. He's my wide
receiver number two right now. McMillan out of Arizona is
number one. He's probably gonna go in the top eighty
nine picks, So I just don't think it's realistic, but
I think Burden as wide receiver two in the draft,
could be there for you at fifteen, all right, you know,
I mean you've got CD and a whole lot of
other just guys, right, why not?
Speaker 6 (36:55):
I mean that would be a fun one.
Speaker 9 (36:57):
Jend would be on the lists there just because I
do love me some asking gent and that's like I said,
I'm traditionally very anti draft of running back in the
first round.
Speaker 6 (37:05):
This guy is a generational guy.
Speaker 9 (37:06):
He's generational, and you need a guy like that who
can create and can break tackles and can run through
contact and can be a receiver out of the backfield.
You need a guy like that, and I think it
would take your offense to a next level. And then
it's funny, they're all gonna be on the offensive side
of the football.
Speaker 6 (37:22):
I'll say. I'll say Kelvin.
Speaker 9 (37:24):
Banks, junior from Texas, the offensive tackle from Texas.
Speaker 6 (37:27):
That would be the other guy, six foot.
Speaker 9 (37:29):
Four, three twenty five. He was banged up, but like
not injured, just I think he was dealing with like
a knee or something, but it wasn't like a major
injury that has him out for the year or something
like that or requires surgery, just a little bit banged
sprain or something like that. So Burden Gent and Banks,
those would be my guys right now as we sit,
(37:51):
what is today, December twenties. Yeah, I mean it's gonna
our position is gonna change over the next two weeks.
Got a lot more film to watch, yeah, a lot
more combine senior bowline's.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
Gonna change a lot. So just right now, long long future,
that's what you would do, okay, I just wanted to know.
Speaker 5 (38:07):
By the way, Gentine needs one hundred and thirty two
yards to break Barry Sanders single season record.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
He's gonna break that against Ben State.
Speaker 6 (38:13):
He probably will.
Speaker 4 (38:14):
Do you guys think, do you think.
Speaker 5 (38:18):
Say Kwan Barkley is gonna get the all time season
single season rushing.
Speaker 6 (38:23):
It's got average one thirty four over the next two games.
I don't want him to.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
I don't want to have a ninety yards and I
was gonna be my bold deal, but I'm not.
Speaker 5 (38:32):
You think Kellen Moore will for pregame, you think Kella
Moore were getting his way and preventing from.
Speaker 6 (38:41):
It's gonna kell him to be the Keller Moore. We
knew here.
Speaker 5 (38:43):
Because I think they're gonna siriann We talked about this yesterday.
Sirianni seems like the type of guy where he's he's
gonna want that. He's gonna want him to break the record. Sure,
so they're gonna go for it. So they're they're.
Speaker 9 (38:55):
Gonna be they don't have their quarterback or seemingly they
won't have their quarterback.
Speaker 4 (38:59):
But handed to him a hundred times.
Speaker 5 (39:01):
But we thought that in the first game too. And
they quit giving Saquon the ball, and it's like, what
are you doing? Like if you not watch this run defense.
Speaker 9 (39:08):
To be fair, the Cowboys kept giving the Eagles the
ball to in that game, so they were giving the
different Eagles the ball.
Speaker 6 (39:16):
So I think they're going to feed him pretty heavily.
Speaker 4 (39:20):
Yeah, yeah, you think he's got a chance of getting it.
Speaker 9 (39:22):
Yeah, yeah, it doesn't hold as much weight with the
extra game.
Speaker 6 (39:27):
Probably not right.
Speaker 9 (39:29):
I think it's I also don't want to discount what
he's doing either. There's a ton of records that are
going to fall because you've played seventeen games, and then
whenever they move this season the NFL season to.
Speaker 4 (39:40):
Eighteen games, which is inevitable.
Speaker 9 (39:43):
That too, it's part of it. So yeah, I think
he would. I think he has a shot at it.
He's probably going to go for one twenty one to thirty.
I don't think he gets won thirty four plus. I'll
bet you gets close.
Speaker 5 (39:55):
Micah said that he expects this to be a defensive game.
Speaker 2 (39:59):
My god, go Mike, what do you think I need
for it to be a defensive game? I need for
anybody else but Barkley to rush for that for rush
for a bunch of ye.
Speaker 6 (40:09):
But I don't want Barkley to be a factor. Gainwell
goes for a buck six, Yeah, I'd rather that. Yeah, man, I.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
Hate being somebody's highlight Cowboys and my team. It's just
as sure as this guy get one hundred and sixty yards,
the next twenty five thousand highlights will be connected to that.
Speaker 9 (40:30):
Him backwards hurtling over a Jacksonville defender, I think is
the that's the highlight.
Speaker 2 (40:34):
That's the highlight. But I'm telling you it's that star
has web just attracting, you know, record breaking, and I
don't want that to happen.
Speaker 5 (40:43):
I think him breaking it the last week of the
season against his former team.
Speaker 6 (40:47):
Is really good.
Speaker 9 (40:48):
I didn't even know that fat Giants.
Speaker 4 (40:53):
He's gonna get up.
Speaker 9 (40:54):
He's gonna get forty carries, right, He's gonna get as
close to that as possible.
Speaker 4 (40:58):
They're not even going to throw the ball if.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
They If they win this game, If they win this game,
that locks up doesn't do anything. It doesn't lock up
the numbering news. They could get locked out of the
one seed though, okay, and that's what we need to happen.
Speaker 4 (41:15):
So they're gonna be there.
Speaker 9 (41:16):
They've got a lot to play because they're down by
one game to Detroit in the NFC seeding.
Speaker 5 (41:22):
And Detroit plays Minnesota the last week of the season.
Speaker 6 (41:25):
How important?
Speaker 4 (41:26):
How important was the number one seed?
Speaker 12 (41:28):
Y'all?
Speaker 4 (41:28):
Back when y'all were playing.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
Those two of us you got to buy so you know,
you just had one or two. So it was you know,
you can make a mistake late in the season, and
always always.
Speaker 4 (41:40):
To get that.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
Yeah, we practiced different. The majority of the team's practice.
It was always about.
Speaker 6 (41:46):
Hitting and beating up each other.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
So that extra week, even though we're still hitting and
beating up each other, was was was very very.
Speaker 4 (41:53):
He win one game in the championship.
Speaker 5 (41:55):
Yeah, yeah, before we do predictions, give us a good
old Eagles worried what's what's what's a memory you have
of Philly because they're fans.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
For those of you that don't, memory is bad because
it's always it's always the load left game. I don't
that is it, and I don't want to go through
it again.
Speaker 6 (42:13):
I don't know.
Speaker 9 (42:14):
Yeah, no, fans throwing batteries and snowballs at you.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
That was always, I mean they if the one batteries,
it was wrapped in honey bonds.
Speaker 6 (42:25):
Was wrapped in Uh, what's some philly Philly. Yeah, they
hated us and that was the bottom line.
Speaker 5 (42:32):
My first trip there, the bus egged full Moons pants
all the way down.
Speaker 6 (42:38):
They hate it. I don't know if is it that
way steal?
Speaker 4 (42:42):
Oh yeah, so I have.
Speaker 5 (42:45):
I don't like Eagles fans just because they're they're nasty.
They are nasty, like they will fight you in the stands.
I had a friend of mine, a girl that went,
she was up in the three hundred level, had a
girl pull her hair just because she was wearing a
Cowboys jersey.
Speaker 4 (42:59):
They're they're just it.
Speaker 5 (43:00):
But I respect them because they they embraced that. They
want to be known as that. They're like the Raiders fans.
Speaker 4 (43:06):
They want you to.
Speaker 5 (43:07):
Know when you come in there, I am physically going
to fight you if if that's your team, man, I
respect that.
Speaker 9 (43:14):
Like I've heard stories that it's great for sports to have.
Now do I want that for my safety and out
for my family to.
Speaker 2 (43:24):
Your own family to get beat up? Yeah, that's what
I f.
Speaker 6 (43:29):
It is.
Speaker 9 (43:30):
It's crazy for sports, and that's what's entertaining about this matchup.
I know they flexed it to noon and they pushed
it up a little bit, but there's still no love lost.
Alice wants to beat the hell out of Philly, and
Philly wants to beat the tar out.
Speaker 5 (43:42):
Of Dallas and Mike, and Mike has jumped in on
it and said I can't stand them, Like I I
was like, how's that going to work out if he
winds up playing there at some point in his career,
because that that will come back, you know, that will
come back, which hopefully he'll stay.
Speaker 4 (43:55):
Here and be a cowboy and we don't have to
worry about all that.
Speaker 5 (43:57):
All right, Fellas to Marco, it's that time. We're gonna
start with Jesse's prediction. Kurt's prediction. Actually Kurt has oh Kurt, Oh,
Kurt breaking my heart.
Speaker 6 (44:11):
Man.
Speaker 4 (44:12):
Kurt usually is a cowboy Homer.
Speaker 5 (44:14):
He's going Eagles twenty four, Cowboys sixteen.
Speaker 4 (44:19):
Oh man, that's a defensive game. That is a defensive game. Uh, Nate,
what do you have sir? Oh Jesus just went just
win by how many one?
Speaker 6 (44:32):
I don't care how you do it. Just win.
Speaker 4 (44:35):
This is Nate's bit the whole.
Speaker 6 (44:37):
You just have to know one.
Speaker 5 (44:39):
By one half of way special edition. Now when he
get yo, Yeah, so you get the same. I thought
it was just us.
Speaker 6 (44:45):
Oh no, he's consistent.
Speaker 4 (44:47):
All right, Chris, what you got? I'm gonna go seventeen
fourteen sloppy because it's supposed to rain. Cowboys. Yeah, Cowboys,
good for you being what's Josh gott?
Speaker 6 (44:59):
Josh has a blowout.
Speaker 4 (45:03):
Thirty four to six, Dallas, thirty four to six. Okay,
is Jazz back there? Jazz is here and she gave
me hers?
Speaker 5 (45:11):
All right, Jazz says, twenty to fifteen Dallas.
Speaker 6 (45:15):
What a score of Homer's back here?
Speaker 4 (45:17):
Boy, I'm telling you.
Speaker 6 (45:18):
All right, are you ready for the party? Back there?
Speaker 5 (45:20):
I'm gonna give mine. I'm gonna go Cowboys. I just
think the defense is starting to click a little bit.
It's it's a divisional game. You got their backup quarterback going.
I'm gonna go Cowboys. I would say twenty one, but
there's no way that Brandon Aubrey is not going to
have at least two field goals. So I'm gonna go
Cowboys twenty seven, Philly twenty four, and then Jesse, everyone
(45:45):
sit with save Kyle for last.
Speaker 4 (45:47):
I guests sit down for this.
Speaker 5 (45:50):
Jesse Holly picked the Cowboys to win twenty four to
twenty one.
Speaker 4 (45:54):
Did you read that right?
Speaker 6 (45:56):
I did?
Speaker 5 (45:58):
Twenty four to twenty one at his status the week
is if Kenny two gloves picket has two hundred and
twenty five yards or more passing, the Cowboys will lose.
Speaker 4 (46:07):
So there you go, Kyle, the moment of truth.
Speaker 9 (46:11):
What is your prediction for the game, sir, I hate
to do it. Philadelphia thirty one, Dallas twenty one. If
Cooper rush Can sacked, Philly will win.
Speaker 4 (46:23):
At thirty one twenty one Cooper Cooper rush Wow.
Speaker 5 (46:28):
Sacked, Bowld sacked Bold prediction for all your shot four
more Philly wins.
Speaker 4 (46:35):
See you later, yep, see you later. There it is
all right, well man, thank you for coming down. Of course,
it was a pleasure.
Speaker 5 (46:41):

Speaker 6 (47:02):
So but my all name brought us going to like
that draft? Key name.
Speaker 9 (47:05):
We don't get if he's listening, he's gonna hate that
he's on a show right now.
Speaker 6 (47:09):
I think, yeah, he's almost on a show. He could
be listening. It's doubtful. It's our show, very seriously down here.
Speaker 4 (47:15):
