go to meetings at certain times, quarterbacks meet with our

like here? They're looking at film. That's they starting to

don't count. It really helps the rookies and young guys,

it really does. But veteran guys who's getting all the
reps when training camp come, if they have a fifteen
play script. They want at least ten of those plays
going to the first unit. So this is where you
really start bonding. Listen, now you can do your own

these daminies that's trying to feed you foolishness. That is
where you bond that you know, if you don't believe me,
asks Chris mean, these coaches, these scouts, these players. I mean,
we are over there by that lunch room where they're
serving these people at in the lunch room, and they

have the the offices and the medium rooms right there
connected to the lunch room. Man, it's just like ants,
like ants, organized ants, be high. Everybody's going. They got
these little portables outside of the lunch room. Everything is
right in that little area right across the walkways, mister

their offices, right into their offices, right into the coach.
Everything is right there, and that's where you see everybody mixing.
Even the uber drivers nowhere to come right in from
the lunch room, because that is where it's happening at.
That is where they're bonding at. That is where they're
doing this stuff at out here. Like Jesse like to say,

when practice is over, you see the most prettiest cars
and trucks crank up and be gone. That don't happen
in training camp. So the most important time now you
will have Nate Newton going off. If George is not
in training camp and working. If George come to training

but right now you see like everybody's organized, running around, enthusiastic.

maybe not you guys, but we kind of blow it
off because it's not that big of a deal. They're

not really doing anything. Coach runs of drills on the
other end of the field where you can't really see them.
But you brought up earlier, and I'm glad you did that.
It's different that everybody's looking the same way, everybody's engaged,
and that that's what the fans want to hear. They
don't want to hear, Oh, it's just underwhere nothing happened.
Like that's a little like that's something we would just

some type of relationship. Whereas with coach Johnson you could

would live it firm, not so much him, but as
coaches and assistance around him. But what I see is
the same is that whereas coach Johnson to tell you,
I will put up with you until I can replace you,
coach says, I'm gonna keep relationships with these guys so

we can have hard conversations. Guys have to know that
you care. Whereas Jimmy said, you show me you can play,
I care. Well, these coaches got the care before these
kids can really show them that they can play. But
what Coach Schottenheimer has quietly done to his defense is
a lot of guys are gone, You're going I love you.

But where we're trying to go and what we're trying
to do. You don't fit now. I know he's saying
it better than what I'm saying with a little bit more.
I don't know what softness to it, but he's got
He's gotten rid of some guys fellas. Some coaches have left,
but with those coaches, some players have left, and he

he is really giving guys the ones that want to
mentally get it. See, all of us can physically. A
lot of the guys are the same physical physical skills.
Maybe some can back up a little better, some maybe
got better hips, but basically the guys are the same.
And now it comes down to the mental Can you

make the adjustment When we hand handing receivers off in
the secondary, do you know that it's time for you
to receive this guy. I'm a deep safety and I'm
dropping back and this guy go over into the curl
and I got a middle linebackers supposed to get him,
and I'm saying, hey, hey, hey, Shanney, you got him.
Boom you hey, I'm running with him. I got him,

got him. Now I back on up deep to try
to cover what's gonna have him on his back end.
These are the little things that's gonna separate the guys
that can play, and we'll be able to play because
as soon as you learn this, you can play faster
and you just be reactive, and that is the guys
they're looking for. People saying being able to play a

lot of positions. You've heard of positionless basketball secondaries are
beginning to be that positionless. He's safety, but Darren Woodson
and only a few like Darren could come down and
play the slot receiver, which is a whole different talent,

a quicker, faster, more reactive receiver the majority of the
times at the slot. Well, Darren went from safety twenty
years ago right down onto that slot. Now you hear
and everybody say that, hey man, this guy can play safety,
but he can also come down and play the slot.
Da da da. You actually maybe a guy that's a

great hitter to come down and be quick footed loose hips.
So it's more can you mentally play the games? And
that's what they're asking for.

Schottenheimer's done a good job of getting rid of guys
that aren't his guys and then fostering really good relationships

Guys are more receptive. He's texting him and he's talking
to them, and that's that's really good inside.

What has been lost around here for the last twenty

he takes three steps and it's arm coming like that.

we don't have those leaders anymore that would take you
in the right direction. That's why they brought in a
Quinny Williams, hoping that he can take that defensive line

Schottenhamer is trying to bring back. It's people that think

the forty nine ers was who was gonna have the

at a high level. We were gonna be playing at

on this team from just a year ago when there

was no communication and it wasn't complicated. Now you're hearing
players say, Hey, there's a lot to learn, there's a
lot going on. You got to learn, you gotta communicate,
and just one year, can you go from bland vanilla
defense that nobody could communicate, nobody could be in the
right place, to hey, sounds like it's super complicated, super

detail oriented and you really have a lot of the
same players. Can these guys grasp that concept and really
execute this defense?

Wait and see?

The big question is wait and see right, And this
is why.

And you'll hear me say this.

Until we get to the season, there may be only
one guy on this defense that I'll personally would be
okay with that is not playing in the preseason, and
that one guy would be Quinn Williams.

You're taking you're taking Jalen Thompson, PJ. Locke, You're taking.

Caleb Downs and Rashawn Gary.

And Dean Winters and Demarve and Overshawn. Oh, by the way,
I'm taking Ryan Smith, and I'm taking all those other coaches,
and I'm taking Christian Parker all these other outside pieces.
You're talking about over twenty plus players that have been
added to this defense, to this new defense that none

of them have really run Some of them have some
flute familiarity with it, but none of them have run
it truly. Under Christian Parker, well, for whatever reason, football
in preseason seems to be the only place where we go.
The only way that you get better by the way

you get better at something is by doing it over
and over and over again. Or when it comes to
playing football and getting reps, more people than not saying well,
don't play them in the preseason, don't play these guys,
Well what are they gonna When do I get these reps?

You know?

And I'll raise my hand to take blame because I
was a part of the Players Association. I was the
player of the Player Association when we changed.
Speaker 10 (36:21):
And the last CBA of.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
Less practice time, less days, and pads, less preseason games.
And we wonder why sometimes the product looks so warded down,
you know, especially earlier in the season. Well, god, we aren't.
We aren't playing football anymore. We're dressing up in football
clothes and we're doing walkthroughs and a bunch of meetings.
Speaker 10 (36:46):
But this is football.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
The only way you get better at it is actually
by doing it. And if this defense is gonna go
from historically bad, historically the worst, well one of the
most historical defenses, worse defenses in the NFL history, Cowboy history.
Then all of these guys need to get the reps together.
Speaker 10 (37:06):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
A guy like Demarvin overshown. You don't want to see
him hurt. No one wants to see him hurt.
Speaker 10 (37:12):
I like the kid. I want to see him play.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
But if he's gonna be now, you know, practicing green
dot and being in the green dot rotation, well, he's
never done it. He didn't do it in high school,
he didn't do to college. He had none of this
in his first couple of years in the league. You
think not giving him live reps in training camp is
a smart thing to do. And then throw him out
there week one, week two, week three, week four and say, yep,

go ahead, son, go play, Mike Linebacker, be the green
dot or a rookie Malachi Barham, Caleb Downs, and I
don't care how smart you are. That's great, that is great.
We all could take that, we all.
Speaker 10 (37:49):
Could take the test and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
But until I'm real, bullets start flying. That's when you
know whether or not that you can withstand the heat.
When you step into that kitchen.

I've been the only one crying. One of these guys
gonna play. I truly believe unknown is the word. But

Lose unnecessary games because you're trying to figure this thing
out earlier in the year, Because there aren't moments in
the schedule where you can kind of count yourself as

saying at the cost of getting better each in every
game to win. Because as I said to me, when
I look at the schedule, everybody in the NFC East
got better. Everybody, whether it's an adding, a coach, our players,
everyone got better. So you have to play ball. And

to add on what Jesse is saying, to agree with
what you're saying, they have to have some type of
playing at some time in the preseason. And I know
it's not wide open, but you have to get ready
to be who you are. You have to prepare. So
I'm a you're in with you, but five games in,

when loser draw, you're gonna be able to say, Okay,
I understand. You know we ain't got eight players of
over one hundred yards. I mean that what it's seen like.
I mean when eight players maybe sixty yards, but it's like,
ain't nobody taking us to the house. I mean, you
got to give them a chance to get better or
to see if they have that capability. But they have,

like you said, players and coaches, well twenty five new people.
So in order for this to mesh, you know, you
got to give them opportunity.

As players when you have a new coach come in,
because this has happened to both of you guys. You
have a new coach come in with a new playbook,
a new system, and you know a new set of
players as well. What is the most important? And I
think the answer is probably gonna be all the above.
But what's what do you have to ramp up as
a player to adjust to a more complicated system. Is

it more fit study, is it more after practice communication time?

Is it more reps?

What what's the one thing that you really have to
ramp up to grasp a new concept?

Terminologies? Because terminology and I don't know if it's the
same thing technique of knowing where to be just you
can put it in a better way, but terminology you
know understanding language and what you know what their code
words are. Now, how do you apply it with your

technique within that system of being in the right place?
Just can you put that better?
Speaker 10 (41:41):
Yeah?

The one thing about football, and I don't care what
position you play, is that you want to play it fast.
Speaker 1 (41:47):

The only way you can play a position fast is
that you have knowledge of what you're doing and so
that goes to the point and they say it like,
you got to know what what the terminology is? What
what is coach asking me to do? You and this
specific assignment? What is coach looking for.

Speaker 2 (42:05):
Like not trying to be superman.
Speaker 10 (42:07):
If my job is to go five yards.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
To the flat, then I need to my butt my
butt five yards to the flat and be there and
not worry about Oh but I thought he was gonna no, no, no,
five yards to the flat. That's where your butt need
to be. And once you understand what the concept is
and what coach wants you to do within that, have
the terminology, then go play fast.
Speaker 10 (42:29):
But I think I think it's.
Speaker 2 (42:30):
Learning the terminology and then you know, learning what the
coach wants you to do within that, what's in that
particular play.
Speaker 4 (42:37):
How hard is it?
Speaker 7 (42:38):
Just to me, just the the recognition of what's happening
would be so hard, Like you might know the terminology,
you might know what you're supposed to do, but just
understanding and recognizing so quickly, you know, split seconds.
Speaker 1 (42:52):
The years awage football. And I'm not talking about the rooks,
but even some rookies today are smart enough. Just a
repetition repetition. You know, I know coaches don't We know
coaches don't show everything. But in them walkthroughs you you
(43:13):
people may not believe this. You know, successful people do
visualized visual visualization. It has to be there. It has
to play a big part. So when so when you're
ramping up, you're going through the quick walkthroughs, you're going,
you're going in practice, you get better, you get quicker.
You go into the preseason and you visualize it and
(43:36):
knowing down in distance. This league is such so big
on down in distance, especially with all the movement on offense,
it's still a down in the distance got to be
played that you can factor into once you understand what
you need to do. Now it's how quick can you
register it? How quick can you regime? Some of us
(43:59):
are fast, some of us are slow. You know, So
you got anything you want to add? Their brother brother Bingo,
I'm thinking brother, you know, I hope he had down
the gambling. So I mean you can go to second Wade.
Speaker 10 (44:16):
I think you hit it on the head.
Speaker 1 (44:18):
Nate, you cannot. Yeah to me, people like ah, they
so simple. But if you have watched the last five
years of OTAs and mandatory many camps. You have seen
(44:38):
twenty percent of the players don't show up. The other
twenty twenty five percent of the thirty guys that's out
there just got the helmets off, walking around talking, having fun.
Even some coaches over there chopping it up with them
that that is not how you run a football program.
Everybody has to be all bought in. And I believe that.
(45:01):
You know, I had to learn real quick when coach
Johnson got here that you know, I'll build with a
cracking jokes and Dad is some of the baddest cussings
I ever got.
Speaker 4 (45:16):
You know.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
And after about the second good cussing, I was like,
you know what, it's the time and the place that
joke and jive and ever when you hit this field,
Dad ain't happening out here. So it's all football. Because
when you're getting them big games and the guy give
you a check with me, and you blow that check

with me and it cost you a game, Coach Johnson
is seriously putting your things about putting you on the
bench because you heat unsaw me twice in practice doing
the same deal. I got some people. I got some
people messed up a couple of times by that ignorancy.
And when you look around and ain't nobody smiling and
laughing and you about to hit that pine, you've changed

I'm like, aren't they voluntary?

Yes? And so I'm saying, where are you going? Why
are you trying to make a story. And even if
our fans, I'm gonna give y'all credit if one of
these knucklehead guys will call y'all and say, what if
your kid was in the same position George Pickens is
in right now, would you have him in camp? And

the fans are like, are you crazy? Now, I'm asking you,
two guys, would you have your kid out there if
it was in this situation?

You are your kids agent. And it is a twinkling
of a chance that something can go wrong. Would you

most important that he be. That's in training camp the day.

and wide receivers and quarterbacks, the most important time for
us is when we get a chance to work at
a higher tempo in training camp. I get to learn

what step Knovsky want to do. I get to learn
if something were putting in a new offensive wrinkle. We
least got him coming at us at a faster pace,
so we'll have to call and react. You know, he
said not not you know, and receiver a dragon across
on a certain play like, hey man, I need you
not in that first slot. I need you in that
second that's where you need it most, where things picks

up and you got on shoulder path every now and then,
that's what listen to a Listen to the guy who
played football, y'all, not the guy who's just trying to
write a story trying to get you to click onto
the best podcasts of the year. Listen to what is truthful.

Training camp is the most most important part. And ever
since you guys have known me, I have rushed out
the training camp to see what guys are actually doing.
That That is when everybody, every team that wants to
start really bonding, start really coming together. Because you leave,
(06:42):
you go to breakfast, go to the training room. That's
when you start seeing everybody you you you. Then you
go to meetings at certain times, quarterbacks meet with our
centers and you start bonding. Hey, what what would you
like here? They're looking at film. That's they starting to
get really get it together. I'm not saying that otahs
don't count. It really helps the rookies and young guys,

it really does. But veteran guys who's getting all the
reps when training camp come, if they have a fifteen
play script. They want at least ten of those plays
going to the first unit. So this is where you
really start bonding. Listen, now you can do your own

off because it's not that big of a deal. They're

not really doing anything. Coach runs of drills on the
other end of the field where you can't really see them.
But you brought up earlier, and I'm glad you did that.
It's different that everybody's looking the same way, everybody's engaged,
and that that's what the fans want to hear. They
don't want to hear, Oh, it's just underwhere nothing happened.
Like that's a little like that's something we would just

take for granted. Yeah, but that's what, like the fans
want to hear. What does the team look like? So
I'm really glad you brought that up. And then you
were saying Kurt asked you before the break, Hey, it's
the same coach though, right and you you were going
down somewhere that Jimmy his first year did something a

What what is different now is you will not be
able to scream, curse, it just go crazy on these
kids today. They're they're not hearing it and they're blocking
it out. But you're gonna have to try to build
some type of relationship. Whereas with coach Johnson you could
be direct, you can cuss a little bit more, you

would live it firm, not so much him, but as
coaches and assistance around him. But what I see is
the same is that whereas coach Johnson to tell you,
I will put up with you until I can replace you,
coach says, I'm gonna keep relationships with these guys so

we can have hard conversations. Guys have to know that
you care. Whereas Jimmy said, you show me you can play,
I care. Well, these coaches got the care before these
kids can really show them that they can play. But
what Coach Schottenheimer has quietly done to his defense is
a lot of guys are gone, You're going I love you.

But where we're trying to go and what we're trying
to do. You don't fit now. I know he's saying
it better than what I'm saying with a little bit more.
I don't know what softness to it, but he's got
He's gotten rid of some guys fellas. Some coaches have left,
but with those coaches, some players have left, and he

he is really giving guys the ones that want to
mentally get it. See, all of us can physically. A
lot of the guys are the same physical physical skills.
Maybe some can back up a little better, some maybe
got better hips, but basically the guys are the same.
And now it comes down to the mental Can you
(21:29):
make the adjustment When we hand handing receivers off in
the secondary, do you know that it's time for you
to receive this guy. I'm a deep safety and I'm
dropping back and this guy go over into the curl
and I got a middle linebackers supposed to get him,
and I'm saying, hey, hey, hey, Shanney, you got him.
Boom you hey, I'm running with him. I got him,
(21:50):
got him. Now I back on up deep to try
to cover what's gonna have him on his back end.
These are the little things that's gonna separate the guys
that can play, and we'll be able to play because
as soon as you learn this, you can play faster
and you just be reactive, and that is the guys
they're looking for. People saying being able to play a

lot of positions. You've heard of positionless basketball secondaries are
beginning to be that positionless. He's safety, but Darren Woodson
and only a few like Darren could come down and
play the slot receiver, which is a whole different talent,

a quicker, faster, more reactive receiver the majority of the
times at the slot. Well, Darren went from safety twenty
years ago right down onto that slot. Now you hear
and everybody say that, hey man, this guy can play safety,
but he can also come down and play the slot.
Da da da. You actually maybe a guy that's a

great hitter to come down and be quick footed loose hips.
So it's more can you mentally play the games? And
that's what they're asking for.

Guys are more receptive. He's texting him and he's talking
to them, and that's that's really good inside.

What has been lost around here for the last twenty
five years, no, the last twenty years. What has been
lost is, and Jesse talks about it a lot, is

When you walk into the building, what are your first thoughts?

players say, Hey, there's a lot to learn, there's a

and just one year, can you go from bland vanilla
defense that nobody could communicate, nobody could be in the
right place, to hey, sounds like it's super complicated, super

detail oriented and you really have a lot of the
same players. Can these guys grasp that concept and really
execute this defense?

it truly. Under Christian Parker, well, for whatever reason, football
in preseason seems to be the only place where we go.

you get better at something is by doing it over
and over and over again. Or when it comes to
playing football and getting reps, more people than not saying well,
don't play them in the preseason, don't play these guys,
Well what are they gonna When do I get these reps?
Speaker 10 (36:13):
You know?
Speaker 2 (36:14):
And I'll raise my hand to take blame because I
was a part of the Players Association. I was the
player of the Player Association when we changed.
Speaker 10 (36:21):
And the last CBA of.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
Less practice time, less days, and pads, less preseason games.
And we wonder why sometimes the product looks so warded down,
you know, especially earlier in the season. Well, god, we aren't.
We aren't playing football anymore. We're dressing up in football
clothes and we're doing walkthroughs and a bunch of meetings.
Speaker 10 (36:46):
But this is football.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
The only way you get better at it is actually
by doing it. And if this defense is gonna go
from historically bad, historically the worst, well one of the
most historical defenses, worse defenses in the NFL history, Cowboy history.
Then all of these guys need to get the reps together.
Speaker 10 (37:06):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
A guy like Demarvin overshown. You don't want to see
him hurt. No one wants to see him hurt.
Speaker 10 (37:12):
I like the kid. I want to see him play.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
But if he's gonna be now, you know, practicing green
dot and being in the green dot rotation, well, he's
never done it. He didn't do it in high school,
he didn't do to college. He had none of this
in his first couple of years in the league. You
think not giving him live reps in training camp is
a smart thing to do. And then throw him out
there week one, week two, week three, week four and say, yep,
(37:36):
go ahead, son, go play, Mike Linebacker, be the green
dot or a rookie Malachi Barham, Caleb Downs, and I
don't care how smart you are. That's great, that is great.
We all could take that, we all.
Speaker 10 (37:49):
Could take the test and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
But until I'm real, bullets start flying. That's when you
know whether or not that you can withstand the heat.
When you step into that kitchen.
Speaker 1 (37:59):
Thank you, Nate, I mean thank you Newton, I mean Jessin.
I was wondering, Bro, I'm wonder for the last five years,
I've been the only one crying. One of these guys
gonna play. I truly believe unknown is the word. But
five games is the answer. Five games in the schedule
(38:23):
that the Cowboys is playing people trying to figure out
where the soft party it ain't.
Speaker 6 (38:27):
No, So.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
Five games in we'll know, we'll know, these guys will
start looking better and playing better, all right, to get
worse it ain't.
Speaker 10 (38:41):
The thing, Nate.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Yes, sir, you look when you look at this schedule,
you're talking about five games in. You look at the
way this the hublide this year. Five of your first seven.
Speaker 10 (38:51):
Games are on the road.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
Yes, sir, if you don't have time.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
In these you know, I know that you got the
Giants in the Washington the first two games out.
Speaker 10 (39:00):
But this schedule is brutal.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
We don't have to.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
Lose unnecessary games because you're trying to figure this thing
out earlier in the year, Because there aren't moments in
the schedule where you can kind of count yourself as
a victory dub no.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
No, I'm not saying at the cost of losing. I'm
saying at the cost of getting better each in every
game to win. Because as I said to me, when
I look at the schedule, everybody in the NFC East
got better. Everybody, whether it's an adding, a coach, our players,
everyone got better. So you have to play ball. And
(39:42):
to add on what Jesse is saying, to agree with
what you're saying, they have to have some type of
playing at some time in the preseason. And I know
it's not wide open, but you have to get ready
to be who you are. You have to prepare. So
I'm a you're in with you, but five games in,
(40:03):
when loser draw, you're gonna be able to say, Okay,
I understand. You know we ain't got eight players of
over one hundred yards. I mean that what it's seen like.
I mean when eight players maybe sixty yards, but it's like,
ain't nobody taking us to the house. I mean, you
got to give them a chance to get better or
to see if they have that capability. But they have,
(40:26):
like you said, players and coaches, well twenty five new people.
So in order for this to mesh, you know, you
got to give them opportunity.
Speaker 6 (40:37):
As players when you have a new coach come in,
because this has happened to both of you guys. You
have a new coach come in with a new playbook,
a new system, and you know a new set of
players as well. What is the most important? And I
think the answer is probably gonna be all the above.
But what's what do you have to ramp up as
a player to adjust to a more complicated system. Is
(40:59):
it more fit study, is it more after practice communication time?
Speaker 3 (41:04):
Is it more reps?
Speaker 12 (41:05):
Like?
Speaker 6 (41:06):
What what's the one thing that you really have to
ramp up to grasp a new concept?
Speaker 1 (41:11):
Terminologies? Because terminology and I don't know if it's the
same thing technique of knowing where to be just you
can put it in a better way, but terminology you
know understanding language and what you know what their code
words are. Now, how do you apply it with your
(41:34):
technique within that system of being in the right place?
Just can you put that better?
Speaker 10 (41:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (41:41):
The one thing about football, and I don't care what
position you play, is that you want to play it fast.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
Yes, right?
Speaker 10 (41:48):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (41:48):
The only way you can play a position fast is
that you have knowledge of what you're doing and so
that goes to the point and they say it like,
you got to know what what the terminology is? What
what is coach asking me to do? You and this
specific assignment? What is coach looking for.
Speaker 10 (42:04):
Me to do?
Speaker 2 (42:05):
Like not trying to be superman.
Speaker 10 (42:07):
If my job is to go five yards.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
To the flat, then I need to my butt my
butt five yards to the flat and be there and
not worry about Oh but I thought he was gonna no, no, no,
five yards to the flat. That's where your butt need
to be. And once you understand what the concept is
and what coach wants you to do within that, have
the terminology, then go play fast.
Speaker 10 (42:29):
But I think I think it's.
Speaker 2 (42:30):
Learning the terminology and then you know, learning what the
coach wants you to do within that, what's in that
particular play.
Speaker 4 (42:37):
How hard is it?
Speaker 7 (42:38):
Just to me, just the the recognition of what's happening
would be so hard, Like you might know the terminology,
you might know what you're supposed to do, but just
understanding and recognizing so quickly, you know, split seconds.
Speaker 1 (42:52):
The years awage football. And I'm not talking about the rooks,
but even some rookies today are smart enough. Just a
repetition repetition. You know, I know coaches don't We know
coaches don't show everything. But in them walkthroughs you you
(43:13):
people may not believe this. You know, successful people do
visualized visual visualization. It has to be there. It has
to play a big part. So when so when you're
ramping up, you're going through the quick walkthroughs, you're going,
you're going in practice, you get better, you get quicker.
You go into the preseason and you visualize it and
(43:36):
knowing down in distance. This league is such so big
on down in distance, especially with all the movement on offense,
it's still a down in the distance got to be
played that you can factor into once you understand what
you need to do. Now it's how quick can you
register it? How quick can you regime? Some of us
(43:59):
are fast, some of us are slow. You know, So
you got anything you want to add? Their brother brother Bingo,
I'm thinking brother, you know, I hope he had down
the gambling. So I mean you can go to second Wade.
Speaker 10 (44:16):
I think you hit it on the head.
Speaker 1 (44:18):
Nate, you cannot. Yeah to me, people like ah, they
so simple. But if you have watched the last five
years of OTAs and mandatory many camps. You have seen
(44:38):
twenty percent of the players don't show up. The other
twenty twenty five percent of the thirty guys that's out
there just got the helmets off, walking around talking, having fun.
Even some coaches over there chopping it up with them
that that is not how you run a football program.
Everybody has to be all bought in. And I believe that.
(45:01):
You know, I had to learn real quick when coach
Johnson got here that you know, I'll build with a
cracking jokes and Dad is some of the baddest cussings
I ever got.
Speaker 4 (45:16):
You know.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
And after about the second good cussing, I was like,
you know what, it's the time and the place that
joke and jive and ever when you hit this field,
Dad ain't happening out here. So it's all football. Because
when you're getting them big games and the guy give
you a check with me, and you blow that check
(45:38):
with me and it cost you a game, Coach Johnson
is seriously putting your things about putting you on the
bench because you heat unsaw me twice in practice doing
the same deal. I got some people. I got some
people messed up a couple of times by that ignorancy.
And when you look around and ain't nobody smiling and
laughing and you about to hit that pine, you've changed
(46:01):
what you think.
Speaker 3 (46:03):
Good stuff, Jesse, You got any closing thoughts about anything life?
Speaker 10 (46:11):
No man.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
One one starts absolutely phenomenal, so I can say that,
and then it goes for both both the companies that
