Speaker 5 (01:38):
At least fourteen days.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Thirty one fourteen I'm.
Speaker 5 (01:43):
Doing real food, could be fruit, vegetables.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Yeah, but I'm not doing that this year. Oh, I'm
doing what I did last year.
Speaker 6 (01:48):
Last year.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Yeah, yeah, I'm going. I'm going. My fast will be
the entire month of January, and it will be all liquids.
It will be seven days of just water and then twenty.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
Four days all liquids and more way than one.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Oh yeah, well, what is it?
Speaker 3 (02:02):
You'd be a cheap date, So this is probably I
would this is probably t m I.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
This is the time right now, if you want to
take me on the date, this is the time. About
a week in about a week, let's go get some juice.
Speaker 7 (02:13):
Probably asked that question, but you finna ask you know
what I'm about?
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Yeah, I don't know what about All you put in
is liquid all that get out?
Speaker 5 (02:21):
Or does it clump up?
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Na like nah?
Speaker 5 (02:25):
Which part? No, it doesn't clump up, or it's all liquid.
I don't even know that.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
It might be like little it might be like little pebbles,
like rabbit, like rabbit, like a rabbit, like a rabbit,
like a hamster. I never thought about that.
Speaker 7 (02:48):
Man.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
Well, good luck to you.
Speaker 7 (02:50):
Leave it to Shannon and he'll think about it. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
God is good man. So I'm excited about it.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Any big New Year's Eve plans for anybody, No, we're
all too old, everybody.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Let me say this. I think everybody should fast from something.
Doesn't have to be food. Whatever. One of the biggest
things about fasting for me, it is I do a
very It's spiritual for me, but it's also a reset
for me. But also like it's just a reminder of
the things, like certain things don't control me. Like food
(03:20):
is such a master of our lives. You don't even
realize it, just how much I do. But like, you know,
but if like if you fasted from sugar, coffee, or
caffeine or soda, or what if you smoked, you fasted
(03:40):
from cigarette whatever that thing is that you feel like
controls you TV social media, man, You'll be shocked and
amazed just how much control that you get back from that.
And it kind of sets It is the impetus that
sets off the year of kind of being in control
(04:02):
of that thing that dominates you, you know what I mean,
Like not I don't do I don't do drugs, I
don't do liquor. I don't do soda, so like you know,
for me, like I like to eat, and so I
get to take that power back.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
The thing is, though, like if you talk to people
that do that, like even if it's a short amount
of time or you change your I'm gonna do this.
Speaker 7 (04:26):
And you're like, man, I feel so much better.
Speaker 5 (04:28):
I'm so glad I did that.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
But then you go right back to see that's the
thing is that it's supposed to be able to start
a new way of thank you, thinking and living for you.
Because even last year, for the this was the first
time and I've been doing this for fifteen I was
telling Shennon in the back, this is my fifteenth year
doing this. And last year was the first time I
(04:50):
did all liquids the entire month. The Holy Spirit spoke
to me and it was like keep going. So I
kept going. And then after that I did about I
think I want to but another four or five months
where I did intermitting fasting where I would I would
eat one day and then I would fast for two days.
I would eat one day, fast for two days. And
I did that for like four or five, like four
(05:13):
or five months, and uh, and it usually I'm usually
really good up until football season starts, and that's where
my schedule just goes bonkers.
Speaker 5 (05:23):
And you just gotta eat when you can.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Yeah, I'm like, and you know, and I do all
these different shows and so like the biggest thing for
me is, like, you know, I'll have a Celsius to
kind of try to make sure I keep the energy
up and be able to talk for an hour and
four or five times a day. So yeah, but uh,
it's fun, man. It resets your body, man, all yourselves
and all that you should people should fast at least
(05:46):
a couple times a year, not like this, but there
should be some intermittent fasting for your body's sake. Go
research tell you digestive system to reset yourselves to get
a chance to fight, because you're fighting a lot, man,
You're fighting a lot every single day. And then the
processed food that we put into our body, it ain't
digesting well. Your body fighting over time to keep that
(06:06):
stuff going. So I'm just saying it would it would
do a lot of you guys bodies a significant amount
of good to fast forty eight to seventy two hours.
Speaker 6 (06:19):
Cake and pie and alcohol drink the last week. Yeah,
I need it.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 8 (06:24):
This is shinnon gross right here, this is okay, thank
you shedding.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Okay, that's enough. That's enough about me.
Speaker 5 (06:33):
Say what maybe I'll start tomorrow?
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Is New Year's resolution?
Speaker 5 (06:38):
Good stuff?
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Jesse?
Speaker 5 (06:39):
Yeah, yes, go research but.
Speaker 8 (06:40):
Now and he didn't tell you the most important part
is that he prays. He walks and pray and give
glory to God.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Absolutely.
Speaker 9 (06:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
In those moments where breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there is
there is a there's an element of the Lord that
I put into breakfast, lunch and dinner where I would
be having meals. I now supplement the whether it's listening
to a sermon, praying, memorizing scriptures, all that. So I'm
always putting something in place for that. So it's who
I say. When it becomes spiritual for me, it's like
(07:10):
I'm resetting all of that. So yeah, that's also that's
the benefit of it for me.
Speaker 7 (07:15):
Thank you.
Speaker 8 (07:16):
No, I appreciate that, yes, sir, And now, uh you
know what, see you maybe why I can't I was
finna go in on a whole bad sub.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
Shot, he spoke today at his press conference. Let's go shot.
Speaker 5 (07:35):
Getting it going.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Yeah, yeah, Shotenheimer spoke today at his press conference, and
of course, the number one question that everyone wants to
talk about as things begin to come to the surfaces
Trayvon Diggs. What what brought you to this moment in
time For those of you who've been living on the
rock for the last twenty four hours, Uh, Trayvon Diggs
(07:57):
has been released by the Dallas Cowboys. Just to reset
that and then.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
Talk about the story they came out yesterday after our show.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Yeah. So the story that came out was that Trayvon
Diggs after the Washington game on Christmas Day in DC,
Trayvon Diggs came up to Coach Shottenheimer after the game
and asked if he could stay in the DC area
and be with his family after the game instead of
flying back to Dallas and then flying back to d
(08:25):
C the DC area, and Coach Shottenheimer declined it. And
Coach Schttenheimer spoke about that today. He said, he said,
first and foremost, I want people to realize and understand
that incident was not the reason that we came to
the conclusion of releasing Trayvon Diggs. It was one of
the reasons, but it was a culmination of a lot
(08:46):
of things, both performance and off the field stuff, and
Coach Shottenheimer was very clear about Trayvon was not the
only person that acts for the opportunity to do things
like this, and he made it very clear to Trayvon,
others have come to me and that there's a protocol
(09:07):
that has to be done, and he said it was denied.
The others that came to him also was denied. Koach
Schattenheimer said that his policy is that we fly there together,
we fly home together. And so it wasn't just Trayvon
that was denied. The ability to leave from the after
(09:29):
the game in DC and to go be dispersed to
whoever it is. It was other players that acts. Other
players were also denied. Once Trayvon was denied, Trayvon said
that he was going to do his own thing and
he didn't get on the plane and he stayed behind
in DC and made that decision to do so. And again,
(09:51):
Coach Schottenheimer, he reiterated it multiple times during his interview
that this was not the reason that the release of
Trayvon Diggs came about. It was one of the reasons.
It was multiple it was performance, it was other things
and other issues that happened off the field that he
didn't get into. But that was one of the things
(10:11):
that he was very, very sound to say in his presser.
Speaker 6 (10:17):
We've gotten a lot of people obviously emailing us asking questions,
and the bigger one is why didn't they at least
try to get something for him in the off season,
even if it's a late round pick anything, instead of
just letting him go.
Speaker 7 (10:31):
Now.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
I also think, like what we hear through the grapevine,
other teams here through the grapevine, and when you get
to that point in time, no one wants to pick
up that contract. And that's why that's why I don't
think he's gonna get picked up in waivers because they
(10:55):
talk right like general managers, owners, front office people, scouts.
They all have conversations. They've been in this business for ten, fifteen,
twenty years. You know, there's somebody that called Will McLain
and say, hey, man, listen, well, what's all of them?
Speaker 7 (11:09):
Like?
Speaker 6 (11:10):
You know?
Speaker 7 (11:10):
What is he?
Speaker 1 (11:11):
What is it?
Speaker 10 (11:12):
You know?
Speaker 1 (11:12):
And when Will McClay I'm paraframic. Depending on who the
person is, he might he might say, man, me and
you went to school together. We've been in this thing
since you know from the mud, don't touch this with
you know what I'm saying, Hey, if I and they
probably had more real conversation. In general, managers do the
(11:34):
same like listen, man like come on, let's let's be real,
like what y'all what y'all gonna do with them? And
then they so they see that, they see and they go, well,
we know that most people knew the pending future of
tray Von di is with the Cowboys. So sometimes you
just sit back and wait, you know what I'm saying.
And at this point in time of the season, I
(11:55):
don't know if many people wanted to sign him, because again,
if you sign him, you take on his contract and
you take on having to activate him because I don't
think you want to put half a million dollars on
you know, on the bench, and so you know, again
activation the money, the roster spot, I got to cut
(12:17):
somebody else, and if you're a playoff team, and again
I think we got unto what three or four o'clock
today when we get through the whole waiver wire thing
or something like that. So most people after that contract
becomes voided after not being picked up by waivers, you
may see a team say all right, cool, we're gonna
sign to the practice, and Kurt, it's.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
It's probably I would imagine with all the things that
just we've heard and we're not any right think about it,
like you know how you're with that that girl and
you're like, you know what my birthday is in two weeks.
I'm just gonna hang on to my birthday because I
know I got me a nice present coming. And then
something happens, You're like, that's it.
Speaker 7 (12:57):
I can't do it.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
I cannot do I cannot associated with this anymore.
Speaker 5 (13:02):
Bye.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
Like I would imagine there was a lot of that
in this too, like okay, yeah, we like look, look
we've tried. Maybe that was the mentality. It's just and
it was just.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Like and also if Shoddy is talking about you know,
culture and all that kind of stuff, you know when
they get back on that plane and there's no Trayvon
Diggs right now, you got to make a decision because
we know.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
He kind of called you out, like we knowsh your hand.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
We forced it, like we know you get on the plane,
you know, like hold on this whole row empty. You
know what I'm saying because and I'll speak from my experiences. Normally,
if you're a veteran guy, if you're one of those
guys five six, seven, ten years into the league, you
probably got the row and you might be like, hey, Rooks,
(13:52):
y'all will have to sit three to a seat. You
know what I'm saying, because whoever in the back said
you ain't You ain't sitting in his row, You just ain't.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
You.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Hey, you sit up there with the other rookies or
the first year guys whatever. So you know, you get
on the plane and like you said, there's other people
who who came to him and asked him can we stay?
Can I stay? And they was told no. So you
get back on the plane and you're looking around and
you're saying, what Trayvon? And now the words starts circulating,
and hey, man, Treyvon, he stayed in DC. Now you're
(14:22):
looking around now now because if you bring him back
and he plays this week, now you're like, well, hell,
I'll do it next time, then that's the case. I
won't get on the plane.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Because you know how the back of the plane is.
I'm sure there was conversation what you think coaches gonna do?
Speaker 9 (14:38):
Hear he was on the back of the plane.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
By the way, Oh, he was on the back of
the plane.
Speaker 9 (14:41):
He sits in the front.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Oh, he sits in the front. Okay, because a veteran.
Speaker 9 (14:44):
Veterans sitting in the.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
In the big in the big, the big one with
the and then what don't they have to they they
still have the table on the planes.
Speaker 11 (14:52):
No, no, no, no, there are these big pods that they
sit in, you know, and they lay flat pods.
Speaker 9 (14:58):
And then and then and then they won the game.
Speaker 11 (15:01):
Okay, so when they win the game, the coaches go
to the back of the plane, and then the guys
who go to the front, so they take their spots too.
From about thirty of them are up front.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
Now, gotcha?
Speaker 9 (15:12):
Does that makes sense?
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (15:13):
So his pole was empty. I got his.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Well listen to this, and Nate, you know this too
as well as when you get on that plane, there's
somebody that's standing there, going.
Speaker 9 (15:25):
Daniels, that's at the stadium. But yes, there is a person.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Everybody's checking off, like as you're getting on the bus.
Everybody's checking off. All right, yep, we're good. Hey, coach,
you know I got all my rocks.
Speaker 5 (15:36):
Coach, We're we're missing one.
Speaker 3 (15:38):
We're missing one who all right, Nate, Nate's been holding
on to this for sixteen minutes. Let's take a break
and when we come back, let us have it.
Speaker 7 (15:50):
Look, yeah, I'm saying the proper things.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
What we want to hear the improper things when we
come back hanging with the boys.

All right, shout out again.

Shout out again, Jason Baker and his dad rolling.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Thank you, Thank you, thank you. Thank that's Roger, Thank you.
Guys man, there you go.
Speaker 7 (18:43):
Yes, sir, Hi Nate.
Speaker 5 (18:45):
What are your thoughts.
Speaker 8 (18:49):
When when this thing happened yesterday and then I, you know,
my phone kept dinging.
Speaker 7 (18:53):
Then then I, well, you know, the Cowboys treated treated
this kid wrong.
Speaker 8 (19:01):
I'm gonna share something with y'all. You fans, you fans, dummi, no, no, no,
these are fans. These are the people that make sure
that we are eating. Be careful who you listen to,
be careful, what you listen to let's go.
Speaker 7 (19:20):
Over the history right quick.
Speaker 8 (19:21):
Like this kid got hurt a couple of years ago,
because I know for a fact that a few people
tried to hold him off the field, medical people.
Speaker 7 (19:31):
So you what, you wasn't ready?
Speaker 8 (19:32):
Son, He forced his way onto the field because he
cleared he was cleared to go on the field physically.
Speaker 7 (19:41):
He didn't listen. He rehard himself. These same people say,
come on, now, let's do this.
Speaker 8 (19:46):
Right this time. He said, nah, I'm going to Miami.
Jones said, hey, son, five hundred thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Cool.
Speaker 8 (19:56):
Now let's fast forward now, y'all, I really think a
dude that acts the coach to hey man, I don't
want to come back with the team. Do you really
think that is an issue? He didn't get on the plane.
He just asked because he wanted to, you know, somebody
(20:19):
to report. Oh, he asked, this dude ain't cared for
two years? What anybody over there thought?
Speaker 7 (20:26):
He ain't cared for two years?
Speaker 8 (20:30):
And now all of a sudden, y'all gonna let a
little discrepancy on whether he comes back with the team
or not be an issue on whether he get released
or not. Wherever you're getting your stories from whoever who's
got a mic in front of them that you're trying
to build up a story, or Bill yours? What lines
(20:51):
are these on Facebook? Or what kind of timeline timelines
whatever these things is y'all own? Come on, man, be
a little smarter when you're sitting around the water cooler.
Give a better answer than Hey, man, he didn't come
back on the plane. He showed the cowboys No, No,
(21:12):
Tray Vaughn. I'm the only one that really care about you, bro.
Sit down with somebody. Make sure the next team that
picked you up that you really want to play, because
Jesse know like I know, and you two guys know,
Kurt and Shannon and Chris in the back. Tell me
a more lenient owner than mister Jones. Tell me who's
(21:36):
gonna take more as an owner than mister Jones?
Speaker 7 (21:41):
What owner? You know?
Speaker 1 (21:43):
You got the owner?
Speaker 6 (21:44):
You know you guys talked about it before. I mean,
if you're playing great, that tolerance.
Speaker 7 (21:49):
Level, especially here.
Speaker 6 (21:51):
He didn't have a past defense this year as passer
rating against his one fifty seven point two and per
he was performing on the field. Maybe some of this
kids looked over, but man, he wasn't performing on the field.
Speaker 7 (22:07):
This team here.
Speaker 8 (22:10):
Will not crucify player, and I will not go any deeper.
I know teammates that I played with after me, and
guys that are played in the last few years, they
knocked on the Jones door and he has not turned
his back on them. Don't don't you know, don't do that.
(22:33):
Don't don't fall into whoever telling you. You know you
are fans, you get eighth and ninth hand information. A
lot of guys are not gonna be honest with you,
are not going to tell you the truth because they
have to, and I can't blame them. A lot of
(22:55):
the guys over there, they have to have relationships with
the players. They have to keep you know, the other
side clear so they can be able to be accepted
because now players have shows and players have these same
things that are only open to the media.
Speaker 7 (23:14):
So now I understand.
Speaker 8 (23:16):
But come on, fellas, don't don't don't sell I don't
sell the fans a bunch of croc Don't don't do that,
because that's not right.
Speaker 7 (23:25):
You know, you got a bunch of fans run around confused.
Speaker 8 (23:27):
They got to make a decision on whether they want
to buy fifteen thousand dollars tickets, Uh, season tickets.
Speaker 7 (23:33):
Don't do that.
Speaker 8 (23:34):
Just tell the truth and everything will be all right.
This kid did not want to play for the Dallas
Cowboys anymore.
Speaker 7 (23:42):
That is the truth.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
And I ask you, guys, because I was curious to
know just this wasn't a young man who came into
this league that had that level of baggage at Alabama.
Speaker 7 (24:00):
He didn't.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
That wasn't that wasn't in his profile. It wasn't a
guy who was kind of a you know, quote unquote
me guy. It wasn't a guy who was a guy
who bucked the system. You know, you didn't hear about
that level of stuff coming from Nick Saban about this
particular player switch positions right, went from receiver to to
(24:21):
to dB. And this is and this is, this is
the part of when we have the conversation in here
about the how the fame can get to you.
Speaker 7 (24:40):
And I I.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Played for three organizations. I didn't play for all thirty two,
but I played for three. And I've been around this
league a long time. There is no other place like this.
There is no not, not none of the New York teams,
and that's the biggest media market, Not none of the
LA teams. That's the second biggest media market. This place
(25:08):
is different, and there was at some point in time
on every level. Yeah, there was at some point in
time where it switched. I don't know if it was
before the contract, after the contract, but I guess when
(25:30):
you we laugh and joke about it, I guess when
you get that few money, when you get that few
money in account, when you got close to fifty million
dollars in the account, I guess nobody can tell you
anything anymore. You're gonna do what you want, say what
you want. And the same player that we remember that
came here as a as a rookie five years ago
(25:55):
in that timeframe, and sometimes I will say this, sometimes
the business changes you. There is a big business of
football now they don't Please make no mistake about that.
There is a business. There are politics into this game,
and sometimes that may jade you or change you or
whatever it is. But there was a shift and it
(26:16):
went from being a guy who cared and loved the
game to a guy who just did not give a
flying nothing. And because when you begin to openly challenge,
(26:37):
challenge yes, everything at every turn like that, that's when
it's publicly this the writing has been on the wild
and again none of us are surprised by this, the
timing like this week is happening, Yes, it happening. No,
we knew this was going to happen, but it wasn't.
(26:58):
This thing could have went different if Trayvon. If Trayvon
would have had the same level of injuries and the
same lack of productivity. Minus the stuff that happened down
there with Britt Brown and the training crew. Minus you
challenging the ownership publicly, minus you standing next to Michael
(27:21):
Parsons while all that stuff was going on, minus you
calling out your defensive coordinator and stuff like that. It's
still be here and they still be willing to wait
and work with you. It's this type of stuff where
you know the pole hitting them in the head and
trust to believe you me him missing a plane. This
(27:42):
ain't his first act of defiance. This ain't the first
act of a fiance. Okay, this ain't the first act
I can I can gather on tee you. There are meetings, functions,
other places. We laugh and joked about it the other
day where we talked about team and stuff like that.
We know we know where the players park. We know
(28:05):
where the players park, and we know what's where you
gotta go through and what you gotta go through to
get to that parking lot and get to we know
that he wasn't even parking in the players parking lot
because after he did his whatever was required and not
a not a nickel dime a minute more, he was
(28:27):
getting a little to go y'all see my to gol
lunch plate right here he would get He was getting
one of these. And he was parking where a common
folks was parking at, which is the close to the
luntrol and gone don't so nobody had to see him
weasel his way. So this wasn't the first act of defiance.
(28:49):
There was many, many, many more before this. But I
just I'm always interested to where because sometimes they'll say,
you know, money doesn't change you, it only enhances or
amplifies who you really were. This something changed?
Speaker 5 (29:03):
Was it an experience?
Speaker 1 (29:04):
Something changed?
Speaker 5 (29:05):
Did the business side really did he get?
Speaker 1 (29:08):
Was it the people that he hung around? Did the
business Jadam? You know his brother was in the league
before he was, and things that he went through like
something happens.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
He was very his first year, he was very easy going,
and very wiet and very hey, yeah, whatever y'all need
me whenever I was here, whatever y'all need me to do,
you know, And was it.
Speaker 5 (29:28):
Was not a didn't seem like a me me me.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Wasn't a malcatent, and then it and then it, and
then you have the Mike Leslie situations. You see the
Twitter stuff in the Instagram. It's just it's you know
what I'm saying, like you know his own I don't
get into his personal life, but you know his personal
life that stuff with with with with jewelry, taking jewelry back, women, babies,
(29:52):
all that kind of stuff. Like something shifted and changed.
And this is why I say, if a person is
not in love with football, a place like this will
ruin you. And it's it's I don't know if whether
(30:16):
you blame the place or you blame the lack of
discipline integrity that you come here. It changes, it changes,
it changes, it changes, and you can get caught up
in that. You can get caught up in this life
(30:37):
and you start believing and feeling things and and and
because you're plastered everywhere. You know, your your son, for
about about a six month period, your son.
Speaker 12 (30:47):
Was a.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
Social social yeah, he a social media phenomena, like he
was all you know what I'm saying, You had all
the commercials and you, like little his son was everywhere
and then it just this place is. If you don't
love football, this place will get you here, and it'll
your mind will be going one hundred. The women, the women,
(31:11):
the access to women and women having access to you,
The visibility, the fame, the money, the opportunities, the commercials,
the all of that is. It's bigger here. It's on
a grander stage here. And if you don't have a
good supporting cast to keep you grounded, and you are
(31:31):
not really sold out for the game, but you will
get lost in this sauce so fast and before you
know it, you turn into this, you turn into this
different person. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (31:43):
I think the big thing is football is what gets
you here, right. The game gets you here, get you
in the building.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
But if you don't love football, like what you're saying,
there's so much stuff here. If you don't love football,
you start chasing something else. Football ain't gonna keep you
here if you don't love it like it will use
you because the distractions are today you away and nobody
even remember who you are.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
The distractions are so big and this while.
Speaker 5 (32:10):
And there's opportunity, there's so much opportunity.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
While DFW in its sense is right, Texas is huge. Right,
DFW is a small component of Texas. But because you
have we make jokes about it, that star star, it
transcends and it expands. You. You get recognized in New
(32:34):
York City because of that, You get recognized in LA.
You have privileges in LA, in New York, in Chicago
and Miami, all these other places because of the recognition
that you got from this small place in Frisco, Texas.
And that's the part where you become worldwide recognizable, especially
(32:57):
if you get to be in the number of the
you know, if you walk outside and you on one
of them pillars, you gotta you gotta, you gotta, you
gotta banner, you know what I'm saying. If you get on,
if you get on tickets, if you on if you
on magazines, if you're one of them type players, you
(33:18):
the reach is far greater than just this place. And
that right there, man, is the part that you just
don't understand. You just don't. I've told you got this
story before. I'm in a boat, a small boat in
the middle of Columbia and someone says to me, in
(33:39):
the back of this boat, damn you, Holly. I thought
I was hearing stuff. There's no way, no way that
the water must be splashing them. I got must got
I must be I gotta be seasick. I turn around
because he said it again, and I said, excuse me,
and he said, I knew that was you. I'm in
(34:00):
the to get to this private island in Colombia, you
have to take a ninety minute boat ride. I'm in
the middle of the water in Colombia. And someone was like,
I'm a big forty nine ers fan. Damn you, that's me.
That's that's the jag, that's the just another guy. I'm
(34:22):
in Colombia headed to a private island. And so imagine
if you're a pro bowler, all pro a guy who
is a recognizable face. This this this level of celebrity
will eat you alive and have you doing things that
that's just at sometimes it's not normal.
Speaker 5 (34:44):
And then Nate, you had to, you had to.
Speaker 7 (34:46):
We gotta get a break.
Speaker 5 (34:47):
But you had a great point. The fans people get
upset and think it was one or two things.
Speaker 3 (34:56):
No, Yeah, the stories that we know before of us
in this room know about guys that have average or
below average talent, things that they have done and things
that they haven't done.
Speaker 5 (35:10):
Fans would lose their mind. They'd be like, he didn't
do what? And we kept him how long?
Speaker 3 (35:16):
And he was doing this and we like, this is
a very very forgiving organization and especially and you know,
that's why players love mister Jones. That's why guys like
even if you have a breakup, they still love it
because he doesn't give up on people. And for him
to give up on somebody, it wasn't one or two
(35:39):
or three.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Four things I prossed six or seven or he.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
Had the talent to overcome a lot of it. So
it had to be a lot of stuff. So all right,
let's take our last break when we come back.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
I mean, we talked about football.
Speaker 5 (35:55):
Maybe let's just see what Kurt's been doing.
Speaker 7 (35:58):
It's all football is, Amen, be.

Welcome back to the final segment of Hanging with the Boys,
the last segment of twenty twenty five. How does that
make you, guys feel? He's sad, little tear in your
eye and we won't be back till.
Speaker 7 (38:42):
Next week, Next Thursday, next.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
Thursday, our new our new weekly time, one o'clock, right Chris,
same time Thursday at one Thursday at one Central.
Speaker 5 (38:53):
So Kurt, since you were no, no.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
No, okay, you're not in okay? The uh last to
you by seven to eleven always open. Who will we
see anyone on the field this week that will be
open beside Ceedee, Lamb FLOORINOI or George Pickens? Will they
will they put any of the new I think we've
seen all the talent at every other position this year
(39:18):
except maybe wide receiver. Do you think they'll experiment with
putting some younger guys in there?
Speaker 1 (39:24):
We don't have.
Speaker 3 (39:25):
I don't think there's anybody at any other position that
hasn't played this year you look forward to you think
they'll do anything different or is it just gonna be
business as usual?
Speaker 5 (39:33):
Starters the first half and then.
Speaker 6 (39:35):
The only one I can see them maybe trying out
is Blue.
Speaker 5 (39:38):
Yeah, because the Giants aren't going to try to win
this game.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
They screwed. They screwed up.
Speaker 3 (39:41):
One one last week. Then I gonna try to win
two in a row. So they're gonna hand this one
to us.
Speaker 1 (39:45):
So Shoty was very kind of he was cryptic and
talking about he said it's a very banged up team
right now, so he made that very clear. He also
made it very clear that as of today, the plan
is for he and Dak Prescott, they talked about it.
He's gonna start and he's gonna play. But he also
(40:07):
made a little bit of a caveat that. He said
that I can decide if I still have the option
that if I decide at any point in time in
the game that he needs to come out, then that'll
That's what I'll do. He goes, but right now, as
of right now, he will be starting the game. But
he made you know, he talked about Javonte being banged
up a little bit. Malik Davis, he talked about his
eye being kind of swollen shut and now starting to
(40:29):
open back up a little bit, and so he kind
of I'm reading between the lines and the tea leaves
kind of almost was like, and then listening to Jerry
talk about yesterday, there may be a Jayden Blue sighting,
there may be a Jaydon Blue siding going into this
game against the New York Giants, but he made it
very clear that they probably. Yeah, he said, when you
(40:51):
see the when you see the injury report come out today,
he said, you're gonna see it's it's gonna be a
pretty robust injury report. So he said, he said, we're
a really beat up team right now. Play the physical
game a week ago.
Speaker 6 (41:05):
Is there anything they can they might do to say, Okay,
we're looking towards the next year, whether it's a oh
let's try this play or anything. Is there anything silly
like that that they might that might be different at all,
but with eyes toward next year.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
Again, to to Shannon's point, what who haven't we seen? Yeah,
I mean only.
Speaker 9 (41:22):
When we who Phil MafA?
Speaker 1 (41:26):
Oh hell yeah, Phil? I was like uncle Phil? Yeah,
Like Phil and and bleuw are really the only two
players that we haven't gotten a chance to get our
eyes on in the you know, kind of a in
a in an NFL game type situation. But everybody else
(41:48):
we've seen, we've seen. I mean all the backups, we've seen,
Rebel we've seen ready, we've seen Trock Creds, we've seen
shamar Uh. Maybe this week they won't forget that Logan
Wilson plays for him. I mean we've seen everybody we've seen.
There isn't I'm looking at names, there isn't Elijah Clark,
we've seen him. I mean, we're not allowing to see
(42:09):
the good went up to go out there and play dB.
Speaker 9 (42:10):
But he doesn't practice that position.
Speaker 11 (42:13):
Yeah, I'm like, so Butler, he could get called up right, Yeah,
But I mean's he's a pup guy from last year.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
We've seen him like we've seen him play before, right,
like we've seen.
Speaker 8 (42:23):
The bottom of the bottom line is play all of
these guys that you just said the play because I'm
starting now.
Speaker 1 (42:34):
But let me ask you this question. Okay, So for example, like.
Speaker 9 (42:37):
The actors are gonna be the problem.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
My thing is, I feel like Milik Davis earned his
right to go. Don't play jaydon Blue give me all
the reps? Right like has Malik Davis not earned the
right to go? I deserve because y'all cut me seventeen times.
I need I need film. I need to go out
there and play.
Speaker 8 (42:56):
Okay, now you got Milik Davis and you got Blue.
Just transform in and out like you do with Javonte.
The bottom line is my thing is, and y'all gonna
keep hearing me saying it is every rep that you
can give a first year guy, rookie draft pick.
Speaker 7 (43:14):
It starts.
Speaker 8 (43:15):
Let's start now, let's start now, and then when when
when they come back here to start working out, they
get all the reps. O t as, Yeah, you don't
have the same grace I'm talking about From Nate that
we had I had this year.
Speaker 7 (43:30):
I didn't.
Speaker 8 (43:31):
I ain't blow up. I ain't saying nothing silly. But
next you know, we're not having that. We're not having that.
Start Yeah, start blowing. Let's see what Milton got. Milton,
I'm gonna help you out here, starting out. Before you
run on the field, you gotta fasten your chance. Let's
start with that, all right, Let's.
Speaker 7 (43:51):
See what he got.
Speaker 1 (43:52):
Give them old John wouldn't, right, Yeah, tire our shoes.
Let's let's let's throw out the tire our shoes.
Speaker 8 (43:57):
Come on, man, let's you know what I was for
playing Dak last week. But now this is the last game.
Like Shannon said, it's nowhere in the word of New York.
Win this game, they may fire the introim coach. So
you know, let's let's let's start now. Let's start now.
(44:17):
Playing these guys whoever uh Mark Litle Marris Maris, play
him live, foul play him, you know, play uh uh forward,
play these guys. Play these guys because the active, like
you said, you got to be careful who you're active
(44:38):
evading and not activate.
Speaker 7 (44:39):
But whoever you activate, play them. You gotta play him.
Speaker 1 (44:42):
But see, I look at I look at the situation,
talk about like, you know, give Joe Milton shot, right.
Speaker 7 (44:48):
I ain't give him a shot playing.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
If I'm Dak Prescott, I go man, I don't know
how many days I got left playing this game.
Speaker 5 (44:56):
I want that, and I want to leave the league
passing yards.
Speaker 1 (44:59):
I want to leave them. I want to be able
to have that on my resume when I get done
with this, that I led the league in passing yards
and led the league and whatever it is, right, I want.
I want this to go on my resume again as
another victory. Because coaches and the quarterbacks are only two
that we look at the end of the day about records. Right,
head coach record, and you know what was the quarterbacks record?
He would you know what was.
Speaker 5 (45:21):
The left guards with?
Speaker 1 (45:23):
You never said about it, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (45:26):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (45:30):
So for quarterbacks, it's like, let me let me tally up,
let me let me, let me, let me stat pad
to let me go if I can't go up. And
people say people are about the injury, right, what hell?
Speaker 7 (45:40):
I don't worry about it, Like I don't.
Speaker 1 (45:41):
Worry about it either, But you had nothing to play
for two games ago.
Speaker 7 (45:46):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (45:46):
You'd nothing to play for Saturday night. You knew you
were mathematically eliminated, so you still line them up those games.
You didn't have it. You had nothing to prove of
that situation against the Chargers. You had nothing to prove
on Christmas Day against the the Commanders. Injury was it
wasn't running through y'all. Mind.
Speaker 3 (46:03):
Then you think you think Dak listened to that press
conference and then met Shoddy on the way down the
hall and said, you do have the right to decide
when to pull me, but you shot it probably, but
you have to check with me.
Speaker 7 (46:16):
First shot shot it, shot it.
Speaker 8 (46:19):
You know what's amazing is how we didn't play not
our offensive linemen during the preseason, and they missed the
first six games as a group.
Speaker 7 (46:29):
Each guy took it fellas. I heard nobody say, oh oh,
they're gone for six games? Are they going for four games?
Injuries come? We do not control them.
Speaker 8 (46:40):
And now you got a sixty million dollar quarterback saying
I'm playing mister Jones upstairs. Thank you da. So when
they asked me, I don't want O five on, I
just played this tape. Come on, man, My bottom line
is just right here. Whoever you need to play playing,
because we don't need to go in the training. Kind
(47:00):
of canmute and play already know in my mind, but
you've got to prove it to your fans.
Speaker 5 (47:05):
All right, all right, let's do our scores real quick.
Speaker 6 (47:08):
Kurt Cowboys thirty three twenty one.
Speaker 5 (47:13):
Thirty three twenty one, Nate.
Speaker 8 (47:16):
Cowboys eighty five ten eighty five, Yen the Giants wines game?
Speaker 15 (47:21):
Something wrong, Chris? What'd you think the Giant I'm gonna
go forty twenty. Thank you, Chris, you should have got more, Kurt,
just like my vision. Forty twenty, right, forty twenty.
Speaker 1 (47:34):
Jesse, I want to go the Cowboys win this game.
Speaker 9 (47:39):
Thirty to thirteen, thirty to thirteen.
Speaker 5 (47:42):
I'm gonna say thirty three to eleven? All right, No,
what's what's the stat No need for his death this week?
Speaker 7 (47:54):
You want to throw one out?
Speaker 1 (47:56):
The little ten team got window, y'all window one window,
Wendelle Robinson. No, but if they, if they, if the
Cowboys getting let Dak get sacked six more times, I'll
tell you that much. I date that will be Yeah.
If Dak gets sacks four more times, more than four times,
it might be ugly. I'm pulling him after the.
Speaker 9 (48:15):
Three get him out of there.
Speaker 8 (48:17):
Brian Burns is on five. And the new kid, Carter, Oh,
the new number level.
Speaker 1 (48:22):
I mean, all right, Fallas, I'm sorry he could just
like no level sleep in the meetings.
Speaker 3 (48:29):
Hell of at twenty twenty five. Enjoyed every minute of it.
Let's make twenty twenty six even better. Don't get in
any trouble tonight on your couches, fans, be careful you
listen to Jesse, good stuff, Nate, great stuff, Kurt. Good
seeing you again, Chris. Thanks for producing your ass off
(48:49):
in twenty twenty five. We appreciate everything that you do. Josh,
thanks for being back there half the time and keeping
him company sometimes.
Speaker 8 (48:56):
And to you, Yeah, hey, love you fans for make
he you shout out to the fans the number one listen.
Speaker 5 (49:03):
I don't even know if we can say number one
YouTube on YouTube. Okay, there's let's go you to YouTube.
Speaker 3 (49:08):
Thank you have a great twenty twenty five ending, and
we will see you next year.
Speaker 5 (49:13):
On Hanging with the Boys, Well, this
Speaker 2 (49:17):
Has been a production of Dallascowboys dot Com and the
Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
