It is October and I am back with another tribute episode of HYPE Techno Podcast. This time, I wanted to make a tribute to Reinier Zonneveld. I have invited Reinier to my Hype Techno Event back in 2018 in Brno, Czech Republic, I had a pleasure to have few drinks with him, do some good chatting, little party, and I have to say, that he is really amazing, smart, dexterous, and open minded guy. But honestly, since then, he has done truly unbelievable progress. Starting with a lot of great work on his label Filth on Acid where he progressed in the same time as a producer and released tracks even with big non-techno names such as Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Angerfist, Tinlicker, or Oliver Heldens in his techno alter ego HI-Lo. He also remixed tracks for Stephan Bodzin, CamelPhat, Carl Cox, Sharam and many others. We see the impact of his continuous work and actions primarily on his DJ progress. It is awesome how quickly he became strong part of the top Techno DJ crew and how often we see him on all great festivals. His sets are inspirational for me and I always enjoy his live performances and injections of crazy old melodies or vocals to his techno sets. What I personally mainly value is that his progress is not artificial, or created by others for their business benefit as was done for some other current techno DJs on HYPE. From my humble opinion, he fully deserves where he is since the amount of effort, musician professionalism, analysis, data insight, PR, product management, marketing and effectivity he has done with his team is tremendous! Therefore let me make a tribute to Reinier Zonneveld by this episode of Hype Techno Podcast, where I have selected my favourite tracks from his current portfolio, and mixed them with focus, passion and joy.
