[Speaker 0]Mike Del's World, number five zero six for
[Speaker 0]October twenty seventh twenty twenty five. I think
[Speaker 0]it's time for Mike Del's World. There it
(00:37):
[Speaker 0]is. And there it is. Here I am.
[Speaker 0]Hey. It hasn't been six months, so I
[Speaker 0]guess this is a bonus extra holy crap,
[Speaker 0]but I did one within the same month
[Speaker 0]episode. Was it quite the same month? Let
[Speaker 0]me go look for sure, but, I I
[Speaker 0]think it might be. Anyway, welcome to, Mike
(01:01):
[Speaker 0]Dell's worlds. Thanks for staying. Subscribe even though
[Speaker 0]I'm not very, regular when it comes to
[Speaker 0]making these podcast episodes. And, actually, I haven't
[Speaker 0]been regular making podcast episodes for the other
[Speaker 0]podcast that I do, Podcast Insider. We haven't
[Speaker 0]done one in, I don't know, month and
(01:22):
[Speaker 0]a half or two months, something like that.
[Speaker 0]But, they are resuming in November, so, look
[Speaker 0]forward to that. We got a new cohost
[Speaker 0]on board, Dave Clements. You probably heard him
[Speaker 0]on there before. And if you, you've been
[Speaker 0]talking to Blueberry at all, Dave is kind
(01:43):
[Speaker 0]of the other support guy. Me, my or
[Speaker 0]me, Sean, and Dave are the support guys
[Speaker 0]over at Blueberry, so you'll get one of
[Speaker 0]us. And, anyway, Dave is also the face
[Speaker 0]of our YouTube channel over at Blueberry Podcasting,
[Speaker 0]YouTube. I don't know. Just look for Blueberry
[Speaker 0]Podcast. Anyway, this isn't a Blueberry commercial. This
(02:06):
[Speaker 0]is a, an episode of Mike Dahl's World.
[Speaker 0]You know what's going on in my world?
[Speaker 0]And to be honest with you, winterizing, basically,
[Speaker 0]winterized both campers, moms and mine. Finally got
[Speaker 0]that all done. Got the boats put away.
[Speaker 0]Got most of the outdoor stuff put away
(02:30):
[Speaker 0]for the winter. I got the snow blowers
[Speaker 0]out. Gonna take the tractor in in a
[Speaker 0]couple of weeks to get it all serviced
[Speaker 0]up and ready for winter. Gotta put the
[Speaker 0]cab and the snowblower on it, but I'm
[Speaker 0]waiting for the rest of the leaves to
[Speaker 0]fall out there so that I can scoop
(02:50):
[Speaker 0]them up with the tractor before I put
[Speaker 0]the snowblower on. That's the plan anyway. But,
[Speaker 0]other than that, haven't been doing a whole
[Speaker 0]lot. Did a little flying, not a lot.
[Speaker 0]It's kind of that time of year where
[Speaker 0]we're getting lake effect rain, so, the weather
[Speaker 0]hasn't really been conducive for flying. So, I
(03:11):
[Speaker 0]think I might hang up my, I guess,
[Speaker 0]it wouldn't be Spurs, but hang up my
[Speaker 0]headset and, wait till spring. I I don't
[Speaker 0]wanna fight weather. You know, just don't yeah.
[Speaker 0]I'm I'm a fair weather pilot, so we'll
[Speaker 0]we'll we'll call it good, for this year,
[Speaker 0]and maybe I can sneak one more in
(03:32):
[Speaker 0]before, before the weather turns to crap altogether.
[Speaker 0]But that's the that's the gist of it
[Speaker 0]anyway. So the other thing that's been going
[Speaker 0]on lately is I've been under a bunch
[Speaker 0]of stress, and and a lot of the
[Speaker 0]stress is brought in by myself. And I
(03:52):
[Speaker 0]haven't really found a great way to alleviate
[Speaker 0]it. And I'm wondering, you know, if I
[Speaker 0]could get some suggestions from you guys, you
[Speaker 0]know, some of the things that, you know,
[Speaker 0]that that you do to alleviate some stress.
[Speaker 0]And a lot of the stuff's brought on
[Speaker 0]by myself. You know, I I overthink everything.
(04:16):
[Speaker 0]You know, I've been overthinking the flying. I've
[Speaker 0]been overthinking the the work situation, you know,
[Speaker 0]with Todd passing away a couple months ago
[Speaker 0]and, you know, we're doing okay here at
[Speaker 0]Blueberry. I don't know. No big deal there.
[Speaker 0]I mean, well, big deal, but not, like
[Speaker 0]I said, nothing nothing is stopping. You know,
[Speaker 0]we're we're chugging along and, planning and I
(04:38):
[Speaker 0]think, making some good organizational changes that will
[Speaker 0]ensure that we stick around for the long
[Speaker 0]term. I plan on sticking around for, at
[Speaker 0]least another bunch of years. You know, I'm
[Speaker 0]not ready to retire yet. So, you know,
[Speaker 0]gotta gotta keep it viable so that, you
(04:59):
[Speaker 0]know but like I said, I just been
[Speaker 0]stressed over silly little things, you know. Overthinking,
[Speaker 0]I guess, would be my my main problem.
[Speaker 0]And then when I do have time to
[Speaker 0]to, relax or de stress or whatever, then,
[Speaker 0]you know, then then it gets worse. Or,
(05:19):
[Speaker 0]you know, I'll sit down. You know, normally
[Speaker 0]reading would be my go to, you know,
[Speaker 0]sit sit back in the easy chair, break
[Speaker 0]out the Kindle, and, you know, just read.
[Speaker 0]But, you know, I get four or five
[Speaker 0]pages into a book or something, and if
[Speaker 0]the stress goes away, I go to sleep.
[Speaker 0]I don't know if that's because I'm getting
[Speaker 0]older. I don't know. But go you know?
(05:43):
[Speaker 0]Or a you know, get reading into, you
[Speaker 0]know, get into a book and, you know,
[Speaker 0]get interested in all that, and then something
[Speaker 0]interrupts me, and I don't get back to
[Speaker 0]it. And, you know, taking a walk or
[Speaker 0]or going for a bike ride, all that
[Speaker 0]stuff, it's just, you know, I don't I
(06:03):
[Speaker 0]don't wanna do that. I just don't. But
[Speaker 0]it's, you know, been pretty much constant this
[Speaker 0]whole year. There's just been, you know, things
[Speaker 0]and stuff coming up, you know, and and
[Speaker 0]a lot of it I'm not in control
[Speaker 0]of. You know, like, gotta go on a
[Speaker 0]trip. I don't wanna go on the trip,
[Speaker 0]but I gotta go on the trip. And,
(06:23):
[Speaker 0]you know, it was good to go on
[Speaker 0]the trip, but, you know, we went out
[Speaker 0]to Minneapolis to to my nephew's wedding, and,
[Speaker 0]yeah, that was all fine and good. But,
[Speaker 0]you know, just the pre trip logistics and
[Speaker 0]all the stuff that goes into planning something
[Speaker 0]like that, e even though, you know, we're
[Speaker 0]just going there to attend. Sounds like I'm
(06:45):
[Speaker 0]gonna have a by here in a second.
[Speaker 0]So if you happen to hear that, that's
[Speaker 0]what's going on, but you might not hear
[Speaker 0]it. I get helicopters flying over the house
[Speaker 0]all the time, and nobody hears it on
[Speaker 0]my microphone. So maybe maybe it's a nonissue.
[Speaker 0]But, you know, just one thing after another
(07:05):
[Speaker 0]after another after another, and, you know, like
[Speaker 0]all this winterizing stuff. Well, you gotta do
[Speaker 0]it when the weather's good. And, you know,
[Speaker 0]you you spend all day doing something you
[Speaker 0]feel accomplished, and then you sit there and
[Speaker 0]you look at your to do list, and
[Speaker 0]you're like, oh man, I got all this
[Speaker 0]other crap to do. Now here comes the
(07:27):
[Speaker 0]fire trucks. Let's see here. Yeah. There he
[Speaker 0]goes. Let's watch him on the camera. Anyway,
[Speaker 0]you know, it just seems like every second
[Speaker 0]of my day has is scheduled. And and
[Speaker 0]this weekend, you know, this past weekend, my
(07:48):
[Speaker 0]my wife took off for Grand Haven for
[Speaker 0]a couple of days or Muskegon, I guess,
[Speaker 0]down to her brother's place for a Michigan
[Speaker 0]wedding reception for the happy couple that got
[Speaker 0]married in Minneapolis. I need to come here
[Speaker 0]and do a little party. I I I
[Speaker 0]didn't have to go. In fact, I really
(08:08):
[Speaker 0]couldn't go because I'm babysitting dogs. So, you
[Speaker 0]know, I've got a I got extra dog,
[Speaker 0]I should say. And we're down to one,
[Speaker 0]and then, and we got a a second
[Speaker 0]dog here that, we have part time just
[Speaker 0]because, his mom is a nurse, and she
(08:31):
[Speaker 0]works twelve hour shifts. But, she took a
[Speaker 0]vacation down to Puerto Rico, which I guess
[Speaker 0]is not getting the big hurricane. I don't
[Speaker 0]know. I chatted with her a little bit
[Speaker 0]today on text, and and, she didn't mention
[Speaker 0]anything about it. So I imagine that everything's
[Speaker 0]okay in Puerto Rico, but, I know she'll
(08:51):
[Speaker 0]she'll be back Wednesday. So I really couldn't
[Speaker 0]go down to this thing with Kathy, which
[Speaker 0]is fine. I, you know, I I went
[Speaker 0]to the wedding and and the reception there
[Speaker 0]in Minneapolis. So or not Minneapolis. I should
[Speaker 0]say an hour or so outside of Minneapolis,
[Speaker 0]but that's where we flew in. And, you
[Speaker 0]know, so I had some time. Well, you
(09:12):
[Speaker 0]know, on Saturday, I, went out and, you
[Speaker 0]know, did the campers and and the boats
[Speaker 0]and, you know, few other little chores around
[Speaker 0]mom's place, which was great. I'm glad to
[Speaker 0]get it done. Feels really good to, get
[Speaker 0]everything accomplished there. And I had all day
[Speaker 0]Sunday to do just what I wanted. So
(09:33):
[Speaker 0]I got up in the morning, did my
[Speaker 0]normal ham radio activity, in case you're in
[Speaker 0]earshot HF wise. At nine o'clock in the
[Speaker 0]morning, I get on thirty nine thirty five
[Speaker 0]for the, what we call, SmashNet, the the
[Speaker 0]Sunday morning social hour. It usually lasts about
[Speaker 0]an hour, but unless you're in Michigan, Ontario,
(09:58):
[Speaker 0]you know, Ohio, Indiana, maybe Illinois, maybe Wisconsin,
[Speaker 0]you're not gonna hear it. But, we get
[Speaker 0]a lot of check ins from around Michigan
[Speaker 0]anyway, mostly in Ontario. And then, you know,
[Speaker 0]and then, at ten thirty, most most Sundays,
(10:21):
[Speaker 0]I get on the I O O K
[Speaker 0]net around, seventy one eighty five, forty meters.
[Speaker 0]And, you know, that that reaches out a
[Speaker 0]little further pretty much, northeast and, Midwest. It
[Speaker 0]covers pretty well. I usually get on there
[Speaker 0]for at least one round and then go
(10:42):
[Speaker 0]off to brunch. So, you know, Sunday, I
[Speaker 0]went off to brunch. And with with a
[Speaker 0]friend of mine, we you know, usually my
[Speaker 0]mom joins us, but she was busy. And
[Speaker 0]and so, you know, we had lunch, and
[Speaker 0]I came home, and I had the whole
[Speaker 0]rest of the day to myself. And what
[Speaker 0]did I do? I sat in the damn
[Speaker 0]chair and watched YouTube all day, which was
(11:05):
[Speaker 0]nice, but, then again, you know, you get
[Speaker 0]to thinking and whatnot and, you know, I
[Speaker 0]just I don't know. It's it's been it's
[Speaker 0]been interesting, and a bit stressful. So, you
[Speaker 0]know, hey. What what stress relief works for
[Speaker 0]you? You'll send that off to me. Mike
(11:27):
[Speaker 0]at mike dell dot com. I always like
[Speaker 0]to hear from you guys, and I know
[Speaker 0]there's somebody out there listening. You know, I
[Speaker 0]get the stats. And, you know, I don't
[Speaker 0]hear a whole lot from you anymore. Speaking
[Speaker 0]of blast from the past, like me doing
[Speaker 0]regular podcasts, listened to trucker Tom today from
(11:48):
[Speaker 0]probably a month, a month and a half
[Speaker 0]ago. And, he was, he was mentioning Todd's
[Speaker 0]passing. Maybe it was two months ago. Jeez.
[Speaker 0]I don't know how long whatever his last
[Speaker 0]episode was. And, you know, he's he's kinda
[Speaker 0]slowed down on the on the publishing because,
[Speaker 0]you know, when you once you retire, you're
[Speaker 0]too busy to have time to podcast. That's
(12:11):
[Speaker 0]what I hear anyway. I don't know. I
[Speaker 0]think you still got some years left. But,
[Speaker 0]anyway, he had mentioned, I'm not sure what's
[Speaker 0]gonna happen with Blueberry. Well, nothing. Nothing's happening
[Speaker 0]with Blueberry. We're we're plugging along just like
[Speaker 0]we always did. But, anyway, it was cool
[Speaker 0]hearing from him. He's been retired for about
[Speaker 0]a year, and, sounds like he doesn't miss
(12:34):
[Speaker 0]the road at all. You know, I I
[Speaker 0]think I would have a hard time, you
[Speaker 0]know, if I was on the road all
[Speaker 0]the time and then all of a sudden
[Speaker 0]I wasn't. I might, I might miss that
[Speaker 0]a little bit. But, you know, I guess,
[Speaker 0]each to their own. I get, you know,
[Speaker 0]being as a truck driver, I imagine being
[Speaker 0]home was is where you wanna be a
(12:54):
[Speaker 0]lot of the time, so maybe he's just
[Speaker 0]not tired of that yet. Plus he got
[Speaker 0]a dog and, you know, getting a dog,
[Speaker 0]you know, that's you're you're in charge of
[Speaker 0]a whole other entity. You know, it's it's
[Speaker 0]not like just being single and and you
[Speaker 0]do whatever you want. You you gotta think
[Speaker 0]about, the critter. It's with us. You know?
(13:16):
[Speaker 0]We we can't just pick up and go
[Speaker 0]all the time because, you know, we got
[Speaker 0]the dog to worry about, and that's just,
[Speaker 0]you know, just how it is. You know,
[Speaker 0]you you choose that kind of thing. And,
[Speaker 0]somebody just pulled in my driveway. Oh, my
[Speaker 0]neighbor. Okay. Cool. Anyway, I shouldn't have my
(13:40):
[Speaker 0]camera up while I'm, podcasting here. I am
[Speaker 0]thinking about doing the, Napod promo again this
[Speaker 0]year, although I wanna do it a little
[Speaker 0]differently. You know, you used to be when
[Speaker 0]I would do that, I I would just,
[Speaker 0]you know, do a little short episode every
[Speaker 0]day and no theme to it. But I
[Speaker 0]think I I wanna do a theme. Here,
(14:02):
[Speaker 0]let me go grab some paperwork here. Hang
[Speaker 0]on. Alright. Yeah. There we go. And kinda
[Speaker 0]what I'd like to do is, you know,
[Speaker 0]this is gonna be life around Northern Michigan,
[Speaker 0]around Traverse City. And, you know, they are
[Speaker 0]gonna be short episodes, but I'm gonna have
(14:23):
[Speaker 0]them kinda mapped out. I've got, you know,
[Speaker 0]a list of episodes here, like, you know,
[Speaker 0]one of them is called a beagle walk
[Speaker 0]through the crunchy leaves. So I'll go take
[Speaker 0]Benny and, go for a walk and put
[Speaker 0]on my portable recorder like I used to
(14:43):
[Speaker 0]do all the time and and, you know,
[Speaker 0]just take a walk and and talk. You
[Speaker 0]know, another one, the road to Interlaken. You
[Speaker 0]probably know what Interlaken is, but, it's a
[Speaker 0]little town south of here. And, they're home
[Speaker 0]to a, art fine arts camp. And, you
(15:05):
[Speaker 0]know, I don't know. I think it'd be
[Speaker 0]kind of fun. It'd be kind of a,
[Speaker 0]a few of these will be remote from
[Speaker 0]the vehicle or from walking and all that,
[Speaker 0]you know, kinda what I used to do
[Speaker 0]back in the day. But, I'm gonna kind
[Speaker 0]of, you know, kind of, you know, talk
(15:26):
[Speaker 0]about stuff from around here. You know, that's
[Speaker 0]that's where I live. This is my world.
[Speaker 0]You know? Like, on Thanksgiving, I'll do a
[Speaker 0]Thanksgiving episode. Thanksgiving up north, you know, traditions,
[Speaker 0]food, weather, all that stuff. The last mowing
[Speaker 0]of the year, you know, talk about that.
(15:48):
[Speaker 0]Snow tires and salt trucks. You know, I've
[Speaker 0]got these kinda mapped out, what I wanna
[Speaker 0]do on what day. And, you know, I
[Speaker 0]might record a few of them ahead of
[Speaker 0]time and then, some of the remote ones,
[Speaker 0]you know, record right around the the day
[Speaker 0]they go out. But, you know, it's, in
[Speaker 0]case you're not familiar with NAPOD POMO, that's
(16:10):
[Speaker 0]National Podcast Posting Month, and it's over at
[Speaker 0]napod pomo dot org. And, Jennifer Navarante, and
[Speaker 0]I think I pronounced her name mostly right.
[Speaker 0]She kinda spearheads that, and I think it's
[Speaker 0]the eighteenth year, Something like that. I know
[Speaker 0]it's been, quite a while. Let me look
(16:32):
[Speaker 0]it up. A pod, po mo dot org.
[Speaker 0]And see if I typed everything right. Yeah.
[Speaker 0]So this is the eighteenth year. So since
[Speaker 0]two thousand seven, and basically, it's a challenge
[Speaker 0]for podcasters to post thirty episodes in thirty
[Speaker 0]days. You know, November first through the thirtieth.
(16:54):
[Speaker 0]And, you know, really, you know, there's no
[Speaker 0]real purpose to it other than, hey. Why
[Speaker 0]not? And, you know, I might be able
[Speaker 0]to put a I did it badge on
[Speaker 0]my website. So stay tuned for that. I
[Speaker 0]think I am gonna do that. The first
[Speaker 0]episode will be November first, and, yeah. Gonna
(17:16):
[Speaker 0]explain all this again. So, but I'll explain
[Speaker 0]it a little bit more. You know, this
[Speaker 0]will be a series of thirty episodes all
[Speaker 0]about, November up north. So whether you're interested
[Speaker 0]or not, well, I appreciate you hanging out
[Speaker 0]and and listening anyway, but should be fun.
(17:39):
[Speaker 0]Again, like I said, I get to do
[Speaker 0]a little bit of, a little bit of
[Speaker 0]sound seeing tours. You know? I I don't
[Speaker 0]know. This can been kinda nostalgia week for
[Speaker 0]me too, and and, I think I had
[Speaker 0]a episode about nostalgia being a being a,
[Speaker 0]a disease. If you take it to the
[Speaker 0]extreme, I guess it could be, but, and
(18:01):
[Speaker 0]I guess that's the the basis of hoarding
[Speaker 0]is nostalgia, but, that's not what I'm doing
[Speaker 0]here. I you know? But, you know, back
[Speaker 0]in the day when podcasting was new, there
[Speaker 0]was a lot of people doing what they
[Speaker 0]called sound seeing tours. Father Roderick did, episodes
(18:23):
[Speaker 0]from the Vatican walking around with his, Sony
[Speaker 0]minidisc recorder and, you know, when they were,
[Speaker 0]you know, picking the new pope after pope
[Speaker 0]John Paul died. And, that was very interesting.
[Speaker 0]Even if you aren't a Catholic, it was
[Speaker 0]a Catholic insider, I think, was what he
[Speaker 0]called it. But, I believe he's still podcasting.
(18:44):
[Speaker 0]He is a podcast hall of famer. But,
[Speaker 0]you know, that's interesting. Speaking of that, you
[Speaker 0]know, with Todd passing away, the a lot
[Speaker 0]of the travel is going to fall on
[Speaker 0]me for these conferences. Now I did plenty
[Speaker 0]of them anyway, but, I'm gonna have to
[Speaker 0]pick up a few extra ones. And, I
(19:05):
[Speaker 0]do have a speaking gig in Florida in
[Speaker 0]January. It's a good time to go to
[Speaker 0]Florida. So looking forward to that, sort of,
[Speaker 0]except for I gotta get my slides together.
[Speaker 0]But, we get a few months, so we're
[Speaker 0]good. Let's see. Okay. I've mentioned just about
(19:27):
[Speaker 0]everything of any great consequence. Yeah. Just, just
[Speaker 0]plugging along here and, trying to stay distressed.
[Speaker 0]No. So like I said, I I do
[Speaker 0]want your your suggestions for distressing, you know,
[Speaker 0]within reason. Yeah. I'm not gonna go run
(19:47):
[Speaker 0]a marathon or or, you know, walk twenty
[Speaker 0]miles or go to the gym. God forbid.
[Speaker 0]No. Actually, I am thinking about joining the
[Speaker 0]gym, but for other reasons. But, anyway and
[Speaker 0]I guess podcasting helps too, you know, getting
[Speaker 0]a little of this off your chest without
[Speaker 0]going into detail. Like I said, I I
(20:08):
[Speaker 0]could go into a lot more detail, but,
[Speaker 0]I don't wanna do that because, you know,
[Speaker 0]some things shall remain private. But, yeah, it's
[Speaker 0]it's very cool. One of the discussions I've
[Speaker 0]been having lately with, you know, teammates and
[Speaker 0]other podcasters and all that is the role
[Speaker 0]of AI in podcasting. Now I've done a
(20:31):
[Speaker 0]fair amount of AI stuff. You know, I
[Speaker 0]even did an experimental episode where I had
[Speaker 0]the AI read it as me. I don't
[Speaker 0]know. It didn't sound good. But a lot
[Speaker 0]of the, podcasting, you know, I think people
[Speaker 0]are gonna looking for authentic human voices, you
[Speaker 0]know, instead of the AI generated content, there's
(20:53):
[Speaker 0]a lot of AI generated content. You know,
[Speaker 0]YouTube is kind of my primary source of
[Speaker 0]television, you know, for the most part. I
[Speaker 0]mean, of course, I still watch Star Trek.
[Speaker 0]My my wife and I, you know, go
[Speaker 0]through all the series in Star Trek, and
[Speaker 0]that's kind of our our thing. And I
[Speaker 0]think we're on the second round of of
(21:14):
[Speaker 0]two and all of them. We're currently in,
[Speaker 0]Star Trek Voyager six season, in case you're
[Speaker 0]keeping track. But, we're watching them in chronological
[Speaker 0]order, not, chronological in the story sense, but
[Speaker 0]chronological in when they came out, to the
[Speaker 0]public. So we're up to Voyager. The next
(21:37):
[Speaker 0]one will be Enterprise, and then, I guess
[Speaker 0]the next one would be Discovery. You know?
[Speaker 0]We we watched Discovery when it was first
[Speaker 0]run on Paramount plus or CBS, whatever. I
[Speaker 0]don't know. It's changed names a couple times.
[Speaker 0]It's on Paramount plus now. So we'll probably
(21:59):
[Speaker 0]watch that through and then, you know, just
[Speaker 0]keep going through the series. And by the
[Speaker 0]time we get back to the original series,
[Speaker 0]we'll have forgotten most of it. And and
[Speaker 0]I've noticed that with Voyager, we'll we'll both
[Speaker 0]sit there and go like, I don't remember
[Speaker 0]this episode. And then halfway through, oh, yeah.
[Speaker 0]I kinda remember it, and I sorta remember
(22:19):
[Speaker 0]it. It's kind of amazing that, you know,
[Speaker 0]in that many years ago, we watched it,
[Speaker 0]and, and here we are watching it again.
[Speaker 0]And, you know, there's a lot of track
[Speaker 0]out there for sure. But, anyway, as get
[Speaker 0]back to YouTube, a lot of times, you
[Speaker 0]know, YouTube will suggest a video, and you
(22:40):
[Speaker 0]you start on the video. And you can
[Speaker 0]tell, obviously, that it's just AI generate slideshow
[Speaker 0]and stock video. And I really try to,
[Speaker 0]thumbs down those and and and bail on
[Speaker 0]them, but some of them are pretty good,
[Speaker 0]I have to say. But I much prefer
[Speaker 0]the actual humans talking, you know, or, you
(23:02):
[Speaker 0]know, I might have got fooled a few
[Speaker 0]times with the you know? But there's, you
[Speaker 0]know, some AI voices out there that immediately
[Speaker 0]you just know that that, oh, yeah. That's
[Speaker 0]the AI guy. You know? It's a good
[Speaker 0]voice and all that, but it's the AI
[Speaker 0]guy. So I I really try not to,
[Speaker 0]watch those. And then amazing thing was all
[Speaker 0]a clickbait. Oh my gosh. It's, you know,
(23:28):
[Speaker 0]So and so is in jail, you know,
[Speaker 0]and and they'll, you know, go through the
[Speaker 0]whole you know? And I'll watch it just
[Speaker 0]because, oh, really? Are they? You know? And
[Speaker 0]and I I watch a guy on there,
[Speaker 0]Derek Berry, vice grip garage. And, he puts
[Speaker 0]out an episode every Friday, and, you know,
[Speaker 0]a lot of the times, he's finding an
(23:48):
[Speaker 0]old car somewhere, fixing it, getting it on
[Speaker 0]the road, and driving it home seven hundred
[Speaker 0]miles or a thousand miles or whatever, you
[Speaker 0]know, from the junkyard. And, you know, that
[Speaker 0]that's interesting stuff, but, you know, he's got
[Speaker 0]a very successful YouTube page. And every once
[Speaker 0]in a our YouTube page. I hate the
(24:08):
[Speaker 0]word page when it comes to YouTube. It's
[Speaker 0]not a page. It's a channel. Anyway and
[Speaker 0]I just did it. But he's got a
[Speaker 0]very successful YouTube channel. There's, you know, clickbait
[Speaker 0]AI videos on there. Derek Berry sends to
[Speaker 0]life. You know? And then you go, and
(24:29):
[Speaker 0]it's just basically a really crappy AI tutorial
[Speaker 0]or a a bio of him, and, you
[Speaker 0]know, nowhere in there does it say he
[Speaker 0]went to jail. So I hope, YouTube can
[Speaker 0]crack down on that crap or at least
[Speaker 0]make it so they're not monetized. You know?
[Speaker 0]It's or maybe, you know, this is AI.
(24:52):
[Speaker 0]You know, I have a big tag or
[Speaker 0]something. You know? But, you know, for most
[Speaker 0]for the most part, I can tell still.
[Speaker 0]You know, it hasn't got that good yet.
[Speaker 0]Although in, Trucker Tom's episode, he did did
[Speaker 0]a a a segment where he put a
[Speaker 0]bunch of his writings in there and then
[Speaker 0]had the AI create an interview, of, you
(25:15):
[Speaker 0]know, two two AI individuals, and that sounded
[Speaker 0]quite good. I mean, I could tell it
[Speaker 0]was not, you know, not real people, but
[Speaker 0]it was it it's getting more convincing. So,
[Speaker 0]yeah, we're kinda wrestling with that at Blueberry.
[Speaker 0]We have AI tools. In fact, you read
[Speaker 0]the show notes of this episode, and I
(25:35):
[Speaker 0]probably will use AI, and the transcript will
[Speaker 0]be AI. So you gotta listen to it.
[Speaker 0]This is an audio medium. Most people don't
[Speaker 0]read the stuff you write anyway, but, you
[Speaker 0]know, I I use our tools to, create
[Speaker 0]the show notes. Why not? You know, it
[Speaker 0]just saves me a step, and I'm not
(25:56):
[Speaker 0]that great a writer. So, anyway, I guess,
[Speaker 0]I wanted to get that little part about
[Speaker 0]AI in there. And, yeah. So what is
[Speaker 0]it? The twenty seventh. So I got, you
[Speaker 0]know, four days, five days, four days, anyway,
[Speaker 0]and you'll hear the first episode of my
[Speaker 0]November up north series on Mike Dell's World
(26:19):
[Speaker 0]for Napaad Pomo. Ninety percent sure I'm gonna
[Speaker 0]do it. So, stay tuned. Thanks for listening.
[Speaker 0]Thanks for all that stuff, and you can
[Speaker 0]find everything about me over at mike dell
