In late June of 1996, Delaware politician Thomas Capano put his youngest brother Gerard in an impossible position. The married father of four stood to lose everything if his affair with the governor’s secretary came to light. Tom decided the only remedy was murder. But he desperately needed Gerard’s help to pull it off. After going to dinner with her secret lover on the evening of June 27, 1996, 30-year-old Anne Marie Fahey would never be seen again. Family members and the public were shocked and horrified to learn the grim details of her tragic death.
