Meet Jan Murfield, President of Greater Dallas Junior Achievement, talking about this valuable youth program with Seated2Serve Host Jeff Bickerstaff. Founded 65 years ago, Junior Achievement has always been focused on work careers and entrepreneurs. Today the mission to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in the global economy is still core, teaching age appropriate hands-on financial literacy and business concepts as early as first grade. 

This is a HUGE undertaking, and one that has captured Jan's heart. Business owners need to know they will serve 55,000 students between Tyler and Dallas this year, and JA needs the support of the local business sector to do it well. In order to break the cycle of poverty, students need to understand what careers can do for them.
