What if iconic horror director John Carpenter directed SNL founder Chevy Chase in a re-imagination of the sci-fi, horror remake of the 1933 film “The Invisible Man”? Well wonder no more! “Memoirs of an Invisible Man” continues this season’s theme of “Monsters Are Universal”. It’s not a comedy. It’s not a thriller. But it is a mess.
Darryl Hannah is the lovely female lead. Sam Neil is our bad guy. Steven Tobolowski is our ray of sunshine. Michael McKean and Patricia Heaton have beach sex with their clothes on. There are some things you can’t un-see, even when they are invisible. This movie is one of those things. It’s pretty bad, but we had a lot of fun talking about it.
