Kourosh grew up in Tehran, learning to play the Rock songs of the Ventures, Monkees, Rolling Stones and the Beatles, and performing at his school, at social events and even on Iranian television! It wasn't until he started writing his own songs that people really started paying close attention. His passion for music was real, and his ability to weave Iranian folk music with western Rock N Roll was seamless. So sit back, relax, and listen to some great world music this week, with a nice heaping dollop of Kourosh Yaghmaei!
