Consul at the Irish Embassy in Colombia, Maurice Nolan, joins us to chat about the mission's eventful first year and looks ahead to what is gearing up to be an even busier 2020.
One positive development for Colombians making visa applications to visit Ireland is that the whole process will shortly be carried out here, eliminating the need for applicants to send their documents to the embassy in Mexico as they currently have to. As Consul Nolan explains, this should save time and money.
Another common topic raised with the embassy is, believe it or not, the unavailability of Guinness in Colombia. The consul assures us that negotiations are well underway to address this particular shortcoming!
