album that just came out and so much more.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
So let's get right into it.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Hi, Taylor, Hi, how you doing today?

Speaker 4 (01:34):
I'm doing wonderful. Thank you so much for joining.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Me this man, Thank you, thank you for having us.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
Oh my pleasure. I've been looking forward to this, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
I recently had the opportunity to chat with Chris, and
now I get the chance to have you on how
have you been.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I've been doing good.

Speaker 5 (01:48):
We've been on the road right here in Texas, right
down and all and for about a We're out here
for about all week.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
So we're having a good time. It's good. Hunt that
it's pretty.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Yes, Oh, I love that. It has been really good weather.
I'm not gonna lie. That's wonderful.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
And I have to talk about the new album which
is out now, Satisfied Country Gospel Classics, Oh so good.
At what point did you and Taylor realize it was
finally the right time to dedicate an entire project to
the country gospel songs that have shaped your lives.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Oh, I appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
We had been wanting to do a gospel project for
a while and I just didn't really know how to
go about it. And Ben Isaac's approached just kind of
out of the blue, and I asked, would we be
interested in doing a gospel project with Gaither? And that
really was just seemed like a god thing and it
just worked out and it's turned out to be one

(02:44):
of mine and Chris's favorite projects.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Really, that's amazing.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
I could see why it's such a great collection of
songs that I love myself, that I grew up on.
And you recorded this project live at TVN studios, and
I'm sure that that gives a different energy than a
traditional studio album. You know what, what did the live
setting allow you to capture that you don't think would
have been recreated in a studio?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
It really does.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
I like being We really wanted to do it live
because it feel like you you you have a little
bit more magic when you're in front of a live audience.
And uh, and we were able to have people that
were really helped shape our lives and uh, and that
were importing us that came and and we're in the
audience and it was just it just turned out to

(03:31):
be really made it made it really special. And I
don't think you could have gotten that magic in a studio.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Really.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Oh, I just love it.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
You know, the energy that you get during a live show,
there's just nothing like it, you know what I mean? Yes,
And you captured you captured that perfectly with this album.
And you you've performed many of these songs actually over
the years as part of your live shows. So was
there one specific song that you knew without a shadow
of a doubt it had to be included on this album.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Oh yeah, well, well, main one for me that was
that I really wanted it was Old whe Out and
I that was song really helped shape me in my
faith and beliveing Brothers cut of that was the one
that we kind of went after on this album, and
it was just when we decided we were gonna do it,
we knew that that was gonna be one of them.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Oh yeah, I'm glad. I'm glad. It was one of
my favorites.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
And I just love that you both kept what we
loved so much about these songs but added a little
Malpus Brother's seasoning in it.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Well, I appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
We wanted to give it a little bit of our flavor,
you know, and and make it ours.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
And and it just it turned out to say, it
was just a lot of fun to do.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Yes, and satisfied. Country Gospel Classics is available of course
as the audio album. It's available everywhere now that you
listen to your music today. But I also seen that
there's a full length DVD and television special happening.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Can you tell us a little bit more about.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
That, Yes, ma'am, they're gonna the DVD is is really
cool and it's got a lot of like behind the
scenes stuff. And I think tonight on RFD at six
o'clock Eastern Standard time, they're gonna be doing Ara special too,
so that'll be really neat.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Oh that's so wonderful. I can't wait for that. I
will definitely be a tuned in all. And another really
interesting thing that I wanted to talk about, which was
so well deserved. Last month, y'all were honored by your
hometown with an official proclamation.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
What did that mean to y'all?

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Because that is just such a huge deal and to
get such great recognition from your hometown just means the world.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Really, Yes, maam, it really meant a lot.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
We grew up in Goldsboro, North Carolina, and we still
lived there and we just we loved that town and
the community, and to be recognized by Goldsborough was just
it was truly a huge honor from me and Chris
because when we started this twenty six years ago, we
never thought that it would it would amount to the things.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
That we've done, and you know, it was truly it
was truly an honor.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Yes, And you and Chris were also surprised backstage at
the Grand ole Opry with the announcement that the Paramount
Theater Angles Brow will name it's annex after the Malpis Brothers.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Later this year.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Yes, man, we're really excited about that.

Speaker 5 (06:17):
That was one of the first places we ever played,
really to get yes, ma'am, so that that was really neat.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
That's so neat. Full circle, full circle, yes fan, full circle.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
H I love that.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
And of course, the Malpus Brothers are currently on tour
and you can see the full list of tour dates
at the Malpis Brothers dot com. So make sure you
check out those tour dates so you don't miss them live.
Because you guys put on a heck of a show.
I have to say. The two of you just have
such great, of course chemistry because your brothers are just
so funny.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (06:47):
Yeah, we we we we have a good time, and
you know, and a lot of you know, a lot
of that is just kind of impromptu stuff and that's
what makes it fun.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
That's what the fun part you know about it is.
And you gotta love what you're doing. And I just see,
you know, every night that you guys perform, you guys,
love what you are doing.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
This seems like something that you've dreamed about for such
a long time.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yes, Minam, it really is.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
And like I said a few minutes ago, we never
thought that it would get to good that it has.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
But it's it's really been a blessing.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
And I have a question actually in regards to touring.
Is there a must have item or food that you
love to have with you on tour?

Speaker 4 (07:31):
What's a must you need it? You need it?

Speaker 2 (07:33):
I'll tell you what. I'll read it like it is.

Speaker 5 (07:37):
I like to get Gami bears to avoid Gammi bears,
I don't have to. I'm saying that Roder make skin candy,
you know, spossy it is.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Those are so good.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
And then another fun question in regards to touring, have
you all I actually it's so funny. I asked Chris
this last time and I wanted to kind of hear
your answer. Have you ever had an embarrassing on stage
moment or just an on stage mishap that you can recall?

Speaker 5 (08:03):
Oh, it'suy, probably usually about avery, not something happens.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Yes, I hear you.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
Yeah, I can't think of one rot off the top
of my head. But it's usually usually something happened, yeah,
forget my words or forgetting what I'm doing, or sure.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
It's all about the recovery though, and you do it.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
You you recover very nicely because.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
You guys are able to like do those like you said,
improv and like quips you know what I mean, back
and forth and you got it down.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Yes, well, I surely appreciate it. You're very, very.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Very welcome, and I hope everyone checks out the Malpus
Brothers dot com. Check out the website, check out the
tour dates, and of course satisfied Country Gospel Classics. It
is out now available everywhere you can listen to your
music today, and it is just so good.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
And I have a couple more fun questions for you
if you're ready, Yes, ma'am perfect. If you can collaborate
with anyone out there today, who would you love to
collaborate with that you haven't had the opportunity yet.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
I would love to do something with Charlie Crockett.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
Oh, yes, I love Charlie Crockett and I've never gotten
a beating, but I'm a big fan.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Oh that would be amazing. I'm yes, let's do it.
I would like to see it, so I would like
to hear it. Oh yeah, absolutely, you guys would really
work well together.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
Actually, oh I would Yeah, that would be amazing.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
And then of course, you guys, you know, get the
opportunity to perform the grandele Opry so so much, which
I think is so wonderful that you're.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
Part of the family there.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
What what is your favorite part about performing at the
grandele Oprey? I mean what every night I'm sure is
different but special in its own ways.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
I tell you, my my favorite part is watching the
Kurt just that magic, you know, thinking about all our
heroes that have stood by there and watched that very
same thing. When the squared answers are there, that's really
makes it really really good.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Oh yeah, it's a my atical experience.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
It really is.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
The last fun question that I have for you, which
is a crazy one, but I love it. If you
could be any animal in the wild, what do you
think best personality wise suits you and then also suits
your brother.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
It's really odd that you asked this, because I asked
this question.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
Seems okay, thank you.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
A bird.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
Here you go, I go wherever I wanted to kind
of do, mmm, glass for you.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Chritsurh would probably be a.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
S I am too most of the time. I hear it.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
That is so funny, good answers, and it was so
good chatting with you as Oh, it was a pleasure.

your day and enjoy the rest of your tour.
