Day 339 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.
Daniel 11:36 to 12 is about a proud king who doesn't follow God's laws. He will be powerful but will eventually be defeated. Daniel 12 talks about a difficult time coming, but God's people who remain loyal to Him will be saved. It ends with a promise that Daniel will rest and then rise again at the end of days.
1 John 5:1-21 teaches that if we believe Jesus is the Son of God, we are God's children. Loving God means loving His children and following His commands, which are not burdensome. It also says that Jesus came to us by water and blood, and the Holy Spirit tells us this is true. The passage emphasizes that God's testimony is greater than human testimony. It assures us that if we believe in the Son of God, we have eternal life. The letter ends by advising us to stay away from anything that takes God's place in our hearts.
