Marcy Tardio joins the show to talk with host, Lorraine Giordano about her experience for over three decades as a certified nurse midwife and solo homebirth practice. A midwife provides care to women and their reproductive needs and offers options to eliminate or minimize technological interventions to experience childbirth as naturally as possible. Some of the recognized benefits of receiving midwifery care include: decreased risk of a cesarean, lower rates induced labor and many more. Marcy is passionate that women's bodies know what to do, especially when she is supported by loving people and attended by a skilled practitioner. Marcy has deep and unique wisdom assisting women and their families and has lots of insights on the process of birthing that no only relates to delivering a baby but in other areas of life. Marcy will also explore how birth, illness and end of life are linked and important to discuss and receive support.
