Speaker 1 (00:01):
Okay, let's make sure we understand the very basics of
the conversation. Tony Katz, ninety three WIBC, Good morning. A
grand jury investigating allegations of ghost employment.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Now, I should note that this.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Rumor of a grand jury certainly has gone on for
a while. I should also note that no one knows
until we know. People in the speculation game bore me.
This is a story about the Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith
and how a grand jury in Marion County is looking

(00:51):
into allegations.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Of ghost jobs.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Now, I must admit I didn't know what a ghost
job was. I had never heard of a ghost job.
I understand the the mafia parlance of a no show
job and a no work job. A no work job
is a job that's given and let's say in a
construction site and for making sure certain materials get through

(01:20):
with ease. Yeah, these three guys, they're on the payroll
and yeah, yeah, no they don't.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
They don't. They don't swing a hammer.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
They're just on the payroll and they'll show up, but
they're not on the on the payroll that way. If
anybody comes there the end, there they are, right, that's
a no work job. A no show job is someone
gets paid they don't even have.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
To show up.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
So I knew what that was. Don't ask how I
know things, just know that I know them. But I
had not never heard of a ghost job. And I'm
wondering if it's the same thing, because it's as we
report it with John Herrick's reporting at WIBC dot com.
It involves employees working outside their official duties while on

(02:04):
the clock. So give an example. I guess one could
give an example of here I am, I'm working in
the Lieutenant Governor's office and look at me, busy, busy, busy.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
It's like Brian in Family Guy, busy, busy busy. I'm
so busy busy. And what they're really.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Doing is working on the campaign or working on their
side hustle or so they're there and they're getting paid,
but they're doing all these other things.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
That's the allegation.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Now, you we had heard about the grand jury stuff
because of this nonsense regarding an AI video showing a
lawmaker's wife topless.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
That was a story put out by Tom lo Bianco.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Everybody picked it up, no one had any proof, and
they set up must be true. I always thought that
was an ugly thing to do. I know that this woman,
there's a woman who claims I saw the video. I'm
still not moved. And I'm the guy who a month
plus ago said that Micah beck With's political career is over, which,

(03:06):
by the way, I did not know. This has made
so much news that he's now getting asked about it
on other radio stations. My compatriot there in Fort Wayne
on Woo asked him about.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
It in an interview. I think that's very interesting.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
His political career is over, and to the delegates, we're
gonna have to have a very very long talk.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
We can do better.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
He's not good man of faith, sure, whatever, but that's
not enough. Now, if you want to argue that with me,
I'm down.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I'm down because I'm not questioning faith.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
I'm questioning skill set, ability, capability, desire, and most importantly,
helping us get to other victories, which the grand total
from Michael beck With is zero. But to this, this
idea that there was this employees on the clock being

(04:09):
paid by us, not actually doing the job, but doing
other things that are supportive of his agenda.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Now we need more information.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
We only know that grand jury testimony was heard in
August eighteenth and September thirtieth quote in the original investigation
into the distribution of an intimate image and ghost employment
in the office of the Indiana Lieutenant Governor.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
It's all we've got. You can't there's not enough here
to say. Up.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
I've already declared his political career over, and I'm right.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
He could debate it with me all he wants. He
can call me arrogant all he wants. I don't. It
moves nothing. I know. I don't care about that.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
In the slightest to be called arrogant by Micah beck
with hold on a second, to be called arrogance by
Micah Beckworth, Yeah, kind of the joke kind of tells itself.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
His political career is over.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Over, and I think he is a problem for the Republicans,
like Diego is a problem for the Republicans. Which is
going to take us back to a conversation about the
delegates and what actually you vote on, what moves you
and why are you moved by it? It's it's not
that you can't have good people, it's not that you

(05:43):
can't have people of faith.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Those are things that are fine, But.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
These guys have failed Diego Morales F and Diego's a failure.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Fake news, Diego F and diego FN, Diego fan diego. Right, Yeah,
it makes perfect sense. He's a failure. Michael Beckwith has failed.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
It's not that he's caused more problems than he has good.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
It's that he hasn't created any good none.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
So let's at least be honest about that and say
to the delegates of the Republican Party, we can do better.
So let's go do that. I keep getting told that
you can't convince the delegates. I do not believe such
a thing as true. I believe that everybody can engage,
and I can engage.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
With them and make my case. I'm going to certainly try.
But this is an allegation right now. That's what this is.
By the way, ghost employment is the level six felony.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
For assigning employees' duties not related to their government position.
If there's an indictment, if there's any proof of this,
and the Indiana Republicans don't move to remove my que
beck With, we're all out of our minds. Oh tony.
The left does this all the time, and they don't
go after their own. With all due respect, I want winners.

(07:04):
Trump brought in a lot of people and fired them
because they weren't winners. I want winners, and Micah beckw
with and Diego Morales are losers, so why don't we
just go do better? But this innocent, he'll proven guilty
on this thing with the grand jury. We don't know
anything yet
