Teaching is one of the most difficult professions on the planet. It is something that you feel down to your bones. It takes energy and devotion to find success in the classroom. Most importantly it takes inspiration-- for someone or something to breathe life into us. We Teach Inspired is a podcast that will breathe life into teachers by interviewing stakeholders within this profession to glean the wisdom that has been passed down through the years. We hope this podcast can be a light for educators no matter where they are to guide them on a path that keeps them in the classroom!
On this episode of the podcast we had the chance to talk with Ken Ehrmann who is an instructional coach outside Philadelphia and is the host of the Poweredup Podcast. We had the chance to talk about what we learned as substitute teachers, how Ken was able to start a news show with his 5th graders, and why it is important to have a good reason to use a new technology or platform in the classroom! Here's how you can connect with Ken:

We are back with part 2 of our conversation with Dr. Sabba Quidway from Designing Schools! (designingschools.org) On this episode we talked with Sabba about how we need to be willing to unlearn certain habits if we are going to find our strengths and passions. As teachers we can feel like our gifts get pushed to the back burner with all of the duties and requirements of the profession, but Sabba encourages us to find the support we...
We had the pleasure of talking Dr. Sabba Quidway for the podcast to learn about her passion for designed thinking in schools. During the first part of our conversation we discuss how Seth Godin's Book LINCHPIN changed Sabba's life, how we can get clarity on the problems we are facing, and the basic structure of designed thinking. Tune in next week for part 2 and you can connect with Sabba using the links below!

We are back with part two of our conversation with Rae Hughart from Teacher Better Team. In this half of the podcast we discussed how to find your authenticity, why teachers fear advocating for themselves, and how to determine what issues and problems are worth fighting for in your school. Again we are grateful for Rae's perspective as she has a hand in so many different educational communities. She really helped us see some things...
Administrators can't figure out why teachers aren't understand what they are asking them to do and teachers can't understand why administrators aren't seeing the big picture. That is what Rae Hughart CXO of the Teacher Better Team told us on the podcast this week. This is part 1 of 2 with Rae as we catch up with her for the first time in a few years and learn what her experience has been working with teachers, students, and admin o...

Here is the second half of our interview with Hal Bowman (halbowman.com) and in this part of the conversation we talked about how teachers are losing the perception war. We were talking about how it seems that we are not just losing teachers who are new to the profession, but the rockstar teachers who have the valuable experience. The subject shifted to how we can recruit better people to the profession which was what pushed us int...

We had the chance to catch up with our guy Hal Bowman (https://halbowman.com/) for the podcast to talk about what it has been like over the last few years as a professional development facilitator and what he is seeing from the teachers he works with. In part 1 of our conversation Hal talks about how this profession is simply, but not easy. We talked about how people outside of the classroom could never understand what it actually ...
Welcome back to the ABCs of Inspired Teaching. We went back and forth about whether to release this conversation as a podcast or to leave it be, but we thought it was important to be transparent and vulnerable about where we are at. We recorded this conversation about a month ago when we were both particularly frustrated. Thankfully things have gotten better for both of us as we have taken steps to make them that way. We hope that ...
It has been more than two years since the start of the pandemic and education continues to be in a state of flux. However, teaching has always been in a state of flux. Our classrooms don't just change every semester or every year, they are changing on the daily. Your groups of kids will come in differently every single day and it is up to us to be able to adapt to these changes and deliver the best instruction we can to our kids. T...
It has been an interesting process over the last several years to try to write our first book. So many different concepts and structures that it is strange to listen back to ideas we recorded two years ago and see what it has become. These are the original conversations we had about the 26 words that make up THE ABCs of INSPIRED TEACHING. These words make up our 2nd chapter represent how we act within the relationships we have esta...

As we get into 2022 and try to find our footing in a teaching landscape that is shifting below us we thought it would be important to take a look back at what we learned in 2021. A theme that appeared throughout our conversation is letting go of assumptions. Letting go of the things we thought we knew about teaching and learned and embracing our ability to innovate on the fly. We also tackle questions like how do we redirect and ma...
Welcome to THE ABCS of INSPIRED TEACHING!! This is the 4th version of a podcast that has been hosted by Wilkie Law and Kyle Krueger since 2016. Over the course of five years we've tried different approaches in creating a podcast that makes a difference for teachers and this is where we have landed.
This podcast hopes to breathe life into teachers and help them pull out all the good things that are already inside their student...

Here are some thoughts from Kyle for the week of 11-29-21. A little more content and a little crappier sound, but we still want to share some thoughts with you. More importantly is a positive reflection practice that is paying dividends!
Believability- the quality of being able to be believed; credibility
As we work through this school year and all of the challenges we face as educators we know that our credibility is more important than ever. We are asked to speak on and model so many things now that it is crucial that our kids believe that we are who we say we are. This recording was one of 26 we originally did for our book and as we get set to start a new year o...
