Speaker 1 (00:02):
Ever been left waiting by the phone. It's the Fred Show. Hey, Sean,
welcome to the program.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Hey, thanks for having me on. Help me out.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
You know what, it's our pleasure. What's going on with
this woman, Kat? We need to know everything. Tell us
how you guys met, about any dates that you've been on,
and then why you feel like you're being ghosted.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Well, I met her on the apps, right, and it
took her out for drinks, and you know, the date
was fun and it was a really good time, and
we've been hung out at my place afterwards, So.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
I took that as a good sign.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
I think most would. Yeah, the date goes well enough
that you wind up back at your place, that's usually good.
It sometimes can be where the problems start to But anyway,
you guys are back at your place and you felt
like that went well, it went great.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
But then you know, after she left my place, she
never answered me again, and I'm wondering why, Like I thought,
it went really well.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Okay, all right, so the date goes well, back to
your place, did you guys mess around at all any
physical stuff?

Speaker 2 (01:00):
We just hung out. I mean, we hung up for
the most part, but it was cool. She had to go,
so you know, but it wasn't like awkward or anything.
It seemed pretty pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
All right. All right, So the day goes well enough
that it winds up at your place. You're thinking, Okay,
she's got to go, but she obviously had a good
time with me and whatever, and you felt good about it.
So you've reached out to her. She's not responding, and
you want to know why.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
I really do. Okay, I'll pretty lost on it.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
I get it. Let's we're gonna play one song and
in like two minutes we'll come back. We'll see if
we can get Kat on the phone. We'll ask some questions.
You'll be on the phone, you can listen in, and
hopefully we get straighten this whole thing out and then
set you guys up on another date that we pay for.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
All right, Yeah, that'd be great, man.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
We're gonna find out what's going on in part two
of Waiting by the phone right after this song Shaboozi
back in two minutes. Fred Show, see boozy. The Fred
Show is on. Good morning, Thanks for having us on
the radio, and the iHeart app anytime search for The
Fred Show on demand. Hey Sean, Yes, all right, let's
call it Kat. You guys, you met on the apps
and you went on a date, had drinks. You thought

(02:01):
that went really well, and then you went back to
your place. You thought that went really well, except she
left and you have not heard from her since. She
hasn't called you. She also hasn't responded to you either,
and you want to know why.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Yeah, I'm super bom. I wondered a lot what happened?

Speaker 1 (02:15):
All right, let's traighten this out right now. Good luck? Sean?

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Thanks?

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Hello, hi's his cat? Yes, hey, key, good morning. It's
my name is Fred. I'm calling from the Fred's Show,
the morning radio show. My whole crew is here, and
I do have to tell you that we are on
the radio right now and I would need your permission
to continue with the call. Can we chat for just
a minute on the show please?

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Oh, thank you so much. We're calling on behalf of
a guy who reached out to us. His name is Sean.
Do you remember going on a date with Sean? Met
him on the dating apps? I guess you hung out
of his house. Do you remember this guy? Yeah? I
do remember Sean. Okay, well, so he called us and
we do a thing called waiting by the phone, and
he told us that he met you on the apps
and you guys went on a date. You thought that
went well. You went back to his place. He thought

(03:07):
that went well, he says, you left, and you've disappeared
since then, and so we're trying to help him figure
out why.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Well, Sean just isn't a match for me. He's it
was clear that he's not ready for a serious relationship.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Okay, why why is that clear? Because I don't think
it was clear to him, So why is it clear
to you? Ken?

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Well, so the date was actually wonderful. It was great,
and at about two am, I finally was like, you know,
I'm exhausted.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
I need to go home.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
And as I was waiting for my uber, I saw
him starting to put his shoes on, and I was asking, like,
where are you going, and he said, I'm going to
go back out if you're headed home, And to me,
I was shocked. I was like, you're going to go
back out at two am? I'd be like, we had.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
An amazing date and you feel the need.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
To go back out, Like what what happens at two am?

Speaker 1 (04:06):
The party's over?

Speaker 4 (04:07):
So wow, it's just hurt, like a really big red flag.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Huh. Okay, so you guys are hanging out and you're like,
I gotta get out of here, and he's like, yeah,
me too, and so like he like his house. But
why does that bother you? I mean, maybe he's got
friends that were out, maybe he's going to a late
night bar. Maybe he I don't know. Why does that
really matter?

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Well, One, it feels like he doesn't think that the
date went as well as I thought it did if
he feels the need to go back out, And two,
like I'm looking for a serious relationship and not like
a college party guy who's leaving the house at two am.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Why are you not?

Speaker 5 (04:43):
He could be going anywhere and none open and none
open at legs?

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Okay, you need to be in house, but legs, that's right?
What if he were looking for a chicken leg? What
if he's hungry or dash uber eats.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
Is a lot of people that bringing to Jason to
do it, but we don't.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Another job for Jason another side hustle, I guess let
me bring Shawn in. Katt, I forgot you meant to
mention the shoans here and he's listening on where did
you go at two in the morning.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
I would digrab something eat, I went to the bar.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
You know.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
What's wrong with that? There are four you are some
places in the world. It is possible that he just
wasn't done for the night. I mean, I know people
that can't sleep and they just they're kind of always moving.
Why does this have.

Speaker 6 (05:26):
To be a I don't know if it's an affairs,
but I would like you to sit your butt at
home and marinate over the nice date that we just had.
It's the middle of the night. Think about me, think
about our next date.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Well, maybe I'm doing that over some chicken wings. Talk
with who or myself? This is not This is not
weird to me that women going out to a going
out of two in the morning is weird to me,
because yes, you know, I'm in bed by like you know,
seven twelve. But at the same time, like going out
to do something on my own by myself is not
weird to me. I do it all the time. So

(06:00):
I don't know. I mean, in the middle of the.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
Night, you don't after a date, were you're already at
home settled?

Speaker 1 (06:05):
I mean, if I'm hungry one A, I don't. I
don't know why this is why are we not going
out with someone again over this? It could be so
much worse. He said he went to get somebody to eat.
He has every right to do that. He has a right,
but it sounded like he for the streets. It does what? Yes,
he's so far too So we're gonna joke, all right,
given drug deal is given all kind of stuff. That's lord, Yeah,

(06:26):
that's the one yeat cat hoold eyes. I just want
to be clear. You go on a date with this
guy that went well enough that you wind up back
at his place, and your problem is you've been led
to believe that he's for the streets, he's not ready
for a relationship and all these things, simply because he
left his home with you at two in the morning.
I guess I don't know how you can draw that conclusion,
especially considering you like till that point, she could have won.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
She could she went home.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
Yeah, you were invited, kat I, as I said, I
was tired.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
I was.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
I was practically in my uber. For me, this is
an awful sign. And I want to be with a man,
not a party boy.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
I mean to do it, but it's summer. Some sustenance.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
I mean, I'm single at summer. It's like, I have
nothing to go on the next day.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
What's the big deal?

Speaker 1 (07:13):
I don't know. Look, I usually cannot defend like I can.
You normally not defend the person who we call and
waiting by the phone call on number two. I can
usually not defend. This is not that bad. We have
heard so much worse. This is not worth not giving
somebody another date. I just don't know why you can't
just sit home and think about me. I don't understand that. Look, Cat,

(07:33):
would you consider another date with this guy? I mean,
he has a good explanation. It was one date. You
guys are not exclusive. He doesn't necessarily owe you an explanation.
You liked him enough to get all the way back
to his house and hang out till two in the morning.
So let's maybe go on a second date and see
what happens.

Speaker 5 (07:51):
Right?

Speaker 1 (07:51):
Maybe No, it's just a deal breaker for me. No
second date people, right, these dating, the dating apps, you
know what it's done. It's made it so simple to
disqualify people. It takes nothing. It takes absolutely nothing, just next, next, next.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
You don't think that would be weird if a girl
is leaving your house at two am.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
To go to a bar. I'm certain that girls of
what's my house and going another dates? Yeah, then again
that's nine thirty. Yeah, try eight o'clock second early yeah.
I mean, look, I don't know. I heard you'd be
like girl. Yeah, I know, maybe, but it's a first

(08:34):
date too. I can't really have that many expectations. By
the way, I don't know what ninety nine percent of
my dates do when they leave my house.

Speaker 5 (08:42):
I have no idea, and neither do you. But you
don't want to know. And she knows he was going
to a bar two am. All right, So Cat's not interested, Sean,
I don't. I mean, look, I've heard so much worse
on this thing that I guess this is a little
surprising to me. But nonetheless it's not going to work out.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Kat. Thank you for answering. Good luck out there, Sean.
Best of luck to you as well.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Okay, I appreciate your help.
