Michelle founded the organization in 2011 after recognizing a significant gap in care for teens in hospital settings. While many programs focus on young children, teens are often overlooked — and Michelle decided it was time to change that.
From hospital room makeovers and personalized gifts to inclusive prom experiences and special outings, Wish Upon a Teen helps teens feel seen, celebrated, and empowered. Their signature Design My Room® program transforms sterile hospital rooms into personalized sanctuaries that reflect each teen’s unique personality and style — offering comfort, control, and a sense of home during extended hospital stays.
