August 6, 201761 min
It’s early August and MLB is trying to enjoy its brief moments alone in the spotlight of the sporting world, but the NFL regular season is just around the corner. We’re just about a month away from the first kickoff of the 2017 regular season, but with preseason games starting and training camps in full swing, MLB still can’t get a break. Don’t get me wrong, you know I love the grand ‘ol game, but for some reason, MLB just can’t command the collective consciousness of the American public like its brethren, the NBA and NFL. So sit back, MLB is in the dog days of summer, the NFL winter is coming and we're breaking down how it's all unfolding, next on the Roundup Podcast, so let's get rolling. . .   On, some quick MLB division updates in the dog days of summer, before we address the rapidly approaching NFL season, as Gabe Goldfield joins us to discuss why the Cowboys might not repeat their incredible 2016; the Packers' continued dominance in the NFC Norris; the emergence of the Bucs and whether they can challenge the Falcons; whether the dysfunction in Seattle will derail the Seahawks; and previews on the rest of the NFC. Then I soliloquize on MLB in the dog days of summer, as the Dodgers continue their dominance, while the rest of the league tries to keep up. But who's in position to make a run at the Wild Cards as the summer starts to wind down? I'll tell you. With intro bump Find A Way by A Tribe Called Quest off The Love Movement, so check it out!
