Matt Harrison (02:32):
Hey, everyone. We

Moonlight Campfire setting, andwe have some awesome stories
coming your way with the one andonly, Kyle and Kown, Mr. Clay
Baird, and fellas, are you allready to tell some stories?
Kyle (02:53):
I think so.
Cam (02:54):
What? Oh, yeah.
Matt Harrison (02:54):
I think so.
I think we've got some fun onesfor for this evening.
Kyle (02:57):
I'm excited. Some some
real good ones.
Matt Harrison (02:59):
I'm already
scared.
Yeah. If you see a empty chairover here, just just carry on.
Okay? Yeah.
Cam (03:06):
Yeah. We get almost lost
Matt down the hill.
Matt Harrison (03:08):
Yeah. Yep. So
super excited to be out. Yeah.
Decided to take the podcastepisode to an outside setting
where we
Cam (03:16):
I like it.
Matt Harrison (03:17):
Around the
campfire, campfire setting to
tell some good I like it. Andcrazy stories.
Kyle (03:23):
I'm excited. You know,
it's that time of year again.
It's Halloween. What betterplace than time to tell some
scary stories?
One of the first ones I wannatalk about was sent to DU when
we asked the listeners to sendtheir stories in, And this
fella, he's a retired militarypoliceman who was in the army,
and he's currently a policemannow. And he works in a small
(03:45):
town in Texas. He didn't say thename, and he said it's only got
a population of about 900, andit's only him and one of the
patrol car at night. He worksovernights, 6PM to 6AM.
And he said on his typicalworkday, he'll take breaks in
and during the night, and he'llgo down an isolated spot. He's
got a couple different spots allover town, and he'll pull over
(04:05):
and do some paperwork in thepeace, in solace. And he said on
this one particular evening, wasnice night out. It was a cool
breeze, so he went to this spothe always goes to, parked the
car, opened the doors up, justfeel the breeze. It was just
catching up on, like, a crashreport or something, you know.
He had some peace and quiet andlooked at the starry sky, and he
said, now on the right side ofthis patrol car was just an open
(04:28):
field, and there's houses, butthey're a long ways away, like,
probably a quarter of a mileaway. And on the left side of
the patrol car is a bigcornfield that stalk's about six
foot tall. And he said, well, you know, he's just out there
minding his own business, typingup this report, and he starts
hearing a car alarm go off, butit sounds like it's coming from
the the cornfield. And he'slike, so it's like a honking
(04:50):
sound, like five honks in a row, then it stops, doesn't think
nothing of it. He said it goesoff again, and he starts
wondering, well, man, I don'tthink there's a car over there.
It should be a lot farther. Sohe said he gets on, like, Google
Maps or something, and he looks, and he's like, oh, yeah. There's
some houses, but they're prettyfar away. He keeps working, and
then he says it starts gettingquiet out. He notices that all
(05:13):
the crickets quit chirping, allthe cicadas and locusts,
anything like that.
It just starts going eerilyquiet. Breeze is still blowing,
and he hears something scream, help, and it sounds like it's a
woman's voice. And he was like, man, am I imagining things? And
he looks out there, keepsworking. He says he hears this
(05:34):
screeching sound again, but thistime it's like getting closer.
So he starts he turns on thelights in the patrol car, not
the flashing ones, but the lightup the curb and all around, and
he's got like a spotlight. Andhe's shining it there in the the
cornfield, and he said he cansee something moving through the
corn. Can't see what it is, buthe can see the stalks moving,
(05:54):
and it's coming towards him. Andhe keeps watching it. He's like,
what in the world?
You know, is that a cow or adeer or something? Like, what's
what's going on? He said hekeeps watching it, and he
finally sees movement, but hecan see like a physical form,
and it starts coming out of thecorn, and it looks humanoid in
shape. It's crawling on allfours, and he said it looks like
(06:16):
a naked person. It's pale,enunciated.
You can see the bones, theskeletal structure. It's real
skinny. It's got impossibly longarms. Just looks weird. He says
its face, he'll never forget thesolid black eyes, and it had it
was noseless, the two holeswhere the nose should be.
And he said the thing is comingat him, and then it sees him
(06:38):
seeing it, and it just likefreezes. And he said he locks
eyes with it. Now, it must nothave been too long, but he said
it felt like an eternity, and hejust they just stared at one
another, and then the thing likehissed or made some crazy sound,
and it like slowly andmeticulously turned around,
crawled back into the corn, andhe was like, well, what was
(07:01):
that? He said the skin on thething looked like wet elephant
skin.
Matt Harrison (07:06):
Yeah.
Kyle (07:07):
Like it looked like it was
moist, and he didn't know what
it
Cam (07:11):
More nail crawlers. Yeah.
Kyle (07:13):
That's a nail crawler. He
watched it, and he kept watching
where it went, making hoping itdidn't come back, you know, and
he rolled his windows up, andhe's like, man, I'm not doing my
field work out here. He said hedrove to like a Circle K down
the street and finished hiswork, and he says that story
he's never told but just a fewclose friends and his wife, and
(07:34):
he's never come public beforetill now. And he said he still
thinks about it, and evensending the story and gives him
chills because he doesn't knowwhat he saw, and it was only
years afterwards. And he he saidhe saw our clips on TikTok or
somewhere, and then that's whenhe heard other recreation
stories of pale crawlers, rakes, skinwalkers, and he was like,
(07:56):
man, that's what I
Matt Harrison (07:58):
saw.
Cam (07:58):
So this whole time he had
no idea that other people had
seen something like that.
Kyle (08:02):
It's the typical story.
Matt Harrison (08:03):
Someone does that
sound like to y'all?
Kyle (08:05):
Sounds like the typical
pale crawling Yeah. Sightings
that you hear. People describethe same thing.
Cam (08:12):
It's like what we've heard
in the thermal stories. Yeah.
Matt Harrison (08:17):
I think that's
not
Kyle (08:18):
a pale crawler, bro. Yeah.
Matt Harrison (08:20):
That's a
Cam (08:22):
It's coming to get them.
It's coming to get them.
Matt Harrison (08:24):
Alright. Fair
elm.
Kyle (08:26):
I found those yeah. And
now you got me freaked out.
What's back there? I'm
Matt Harrison (08:29):
gonna sit this
way, Phil. He's gonna go on the
other side.
Kyle (08:32):
Put your
Cam (08:32):
chair did kinda sound like
a scream. Yeah.
Matt Harrison (08:36):
Yeah. So we don't
know what those
Kyle (08:38):
what those stories are,
but I mean, of and more and more
people are at least reportingthat they've seen something
tonight.
Cam (08:44):
And we've gotten them, a
lot of them. Like, are numerous
pale crawler stories. It seemslike it's building. Yeah. And I
don't know if it's because moreand more people are finding out
that other people have seen it,or if it's they're ramping up.
Yes. Is there movement? Like, Idon't know what's going on.
Clay Baird (09:00):
I think people are
empowered to tell their story
when they hear other peopletelling
Kyle (09:04):
it. Yeah. When they feel
like they're not alone. Right?
Yeah.
And that's so cool that this hasbecome a safe space for people
to share.
Matt Harrison (09:09):
You know what's
interesting to me too, the
stories, some of the storiessubmitted. A good bit are law
enforcement. Yeah. Yeah.
Kyle (09:17):
I sure do.
Matt Harrison (09:17):
You know, because
they're out at hours that
typically people aren't out, youknow. Right.
Cam (09:22):
And they're attentive.
Matt Harrison (09:24):
Yeah. They know
what's going on around Yeah.
Cam (09:26):
You're watching all the
time. Yeah. Or other times where
you might just drive by itnormally, he's picking up on it,
he's keying in on it becausehe's trained to.
Matt Harrison (09:35):
Transitional
awareness.
Cam (09:37):
It changes everything.
Matt Harrison (09:38):
Yeah. And they
also deal with a lot of the
darker side of life. So I wonderif that maybe there's something
that's They're tuned into
Cam (09:45):
it or something. Yeah.
Maybe you're
Kyle (09:47):
He said he's not gonna
lie. He thought about skinning
his smoke wagon he had with himbecause And letting it Just He
was feeling a little uneasy.Yeah. But
Cam (09:54):
It would be hard not to
panic. Straight up, it'd be hard
not to panic. Oh my god. To flipon a spotlight after hearing
something like that and justwhip it, and it's right there.
It would be very, very difficultnot to just lose everything at
that moment.
Clay Baird (10:06):
Yeah. I mean, go
back to work after that.
Yeah. Like that night, he justfinished his paperwork Scratch
it
Cam (10:11):
off. Yeah. Yeah. I don't
know.
Kyle (10:12):
Well, when I was younger,
of course, it wasn't legal to
carry one, but I mean, I nevercarried a sidearm. But after
doing this for so long andhearing all the stories, I'd
never go in the woods without myGlock or my CZs.
Cam (10:21):
Yeah. You gotta have
something with you. Yeah. Just
because of something like that.Or I got one for you.
We got one sent to us that tookplace in Florida. A man named
Timothy sent it to us. Tookplace in Florida, not to him,
but to, like, one of his goodfriends and another friend. Tim
said, his buddy named Zeke andthis other guy he didn't give me
anybody's name, but apparently,Zeke and this other dude were
(10:44):
big time fishermen all throughFlorida. They loved it, obsessed
over it.
And I guess talking around theway fishermen do, you end up
getting honey hole spots likeany outdoorsman does. Right. And
a fellow told him, he's like, look, kinda drew him a rough
map. He said, if you take theboat out in the swamps, you
gotta cut up all this way, you'll come to a big lake, and
it's just kinda
Kyle (11:04):
stuck out there. He said
Cam (11:05):
the fishing is fantastic.
He's like, not many people know
about it. Go up in there, haveyour fun, the whole thing.
Matt Harrison (11:11):
So he said they
waited a few days, and then Zeke
and
Cam (11:13):
his buddy were like,
alright. Now it's time. We're
going up. So they loadeverything up and go. And he
said it was like two hourswinding through all that stuff
to get up to this lake.
He said they got up there. Itwasn't as big as, of course,
that they had thought, but hegoes, man, we start hitting the
water, and we start catchingfish. And now that he said the
man had told us he hadn't beenup there in a while, but he said
whenever he was there, he caughtreally nice fish. Zeke said they
(11:36):
weren't catching those fish. They were catching small fish.
The smoke got me. So Zeke, himand his buddy are catching fish,
and it's not a burden. They'rejust catching little ones. He
said, this goes on for probablyclose to an hour. He said,
they're getting completely justlike, it's fun, but we're
catching fingerlings like littleone pound fish.
(11:57):
Where's the good fish? He said, all of a sudden, the biting
quits, everything stops, aroundthe water gets still. It's like
what you talked about. He said, the sound didn't go away, but
everything got still. He said, they're about 30 yards from a
little it looks like a littlebowl that's washed up in that
lake.
He said, at this moment, you cansee the water move. He's like,
oh, maybe there's fish over
Kyle (12:17):
there. Right? Yeah.
Cam (12:18):
So they're watching. He
says, as the water starts
moving, then up on the bankstarts moving, and mud and
everything over there startsmoving. And he's like, they
freeze. What are we looking at?Zeke describes a snapping
turtle, and he says it's thesize of the hood of a pickup.
Kyle (12:35):
Cool. He said As see its
Cam (12:38):
head come out of the water.
Kyle (12:39):
Yeah. It looks like a
Gamma turtle.
Cam (12:41):
He said he saw its head
come up, and then it kinda
lifted itself up. And he saidwhen it did, at first, he said,
thought it was just impossiblemud. Right? It's just covered in
mud for a second.
Matt Harrison (12:51):
And he's like,
but no.
Cam (12:52):
You could see the edge of
the shell, the whole thing. He
said it was the size of the hoodof his pickup that stood up in
that thing. And he said it justkinda made its way back off into
the water, slid down, and wasgone. He said we reeled in,
turned the boat around, andleft. He goes, I don't know if
it had any effect on the lake, that that's the reason that they
(13:13):
never caught big fish, that theonly thing up there was little
bitty fish.
He said, I don't know if the guythat gave him the map and told
him all
Matt Harrison (13:20):
that even had any
idea it was
Cam (13:21):
there, or if the guy and
this is one thing Tim pointed
out, was pretty interesting. Hesaid, I don't know if Zeke ever
asked the guy about the turtle.I'm wondering if the old man
that gave him the the map knewit was there and sent some other
people to see if they saw it.Like, to kinda confirm, like,
did you have anything weirdhappen up there? And the dude's
like, yeah, man.
(13:41):
A turtle that was this big comeup out of the water. Yeah. Just
we always talk about randomanimals, you know, that you see
or something. Yeah. And it justthe idea of it, and I don't know
why it makes sense in Florida.
Like, why do I believe? I don'tknow why it's easy. Like, I
could see a giant turtle bethere. But, yeah, he said it
didn't nothing. It wasn'tscared, just a giant turtle.
Kyle (14:01):
Well, they always talk
about how old some of those
turtles can live, the snappingturtles. Like, some of
Cam (14:06):
them And they couple 100 in
size. Right? Like, I've seen
some big ones, but I'm nottalking something the size of a
fire pit. We're talking huge.
Matt Harrison (14:12):
That's
unbelievable. Yeah.
Clay Baird (14:14):
That reminds me of
the story you guys told, I don't
know if it was last time or thetime before, about the centipede
that dragged the deer down a
Kyle (14:22):
Yeah.
Clay Baird (14:22):
Some of these things
are just much bigger. They
mutated?
Kyle (14:26):
Yeah. Are they older?
Yeah. They getting some toxic
goos like the Ninja Turtles?
Cam (14:29):
Yeah. What happened? I
Kyle (14:30):
don't know. Right?
Clay Baird (14:33):
It grew up around
some power lines.
Kyle (14:34):
Yeah. What what caused it?
It's Wi Fi. Yes. Cell towers are
doing it to them.
Cam (14:39):
Making giant Like you said,
Matt Harrison (14:40):
though, being
from Florida, like
Cam (14:42):
It it fits. I don't know
why in my mind I'm like, I could
see that. Like, I I wouldn't besurprised. It always that story
instantly made me think of thestories that took place in the
fifties in The Congo when theywere talking about flying the
planes and seeing giantanaconda. Yeah.
They're talking like 50 footersout there.
Matt Harrison (14:59):
Yeah. Got to
Kyle (15:00):
see a photograph where,
like, a Belgian helicopter pilot
you can look it up online, whereit's, like, flying over The
Congo or something, and he saw aginormous snake. He took a
picture of it, and
Matt Harrison (15:10):
he's like, man,
it looked like
Kyle (15:11):
it was a 100 foot long.
Cam (15:12):
The the better of the the
rest of the story is when he
came back, he claims it rearedup, And as it reared up, he said
the the whole head of the thingwas probably 20 foot up into the
air Oh
Kyle (15:22):
my god. As it picked up.
Cam (15:23):
You're talking about a
snake that would be like this
thick. Yeah. I mean I don'twanna see that.
Kyle (15:28):
And Florida's overridden
with snakes now.
Cam (15:30):
Yeah. Those kind of snakes.
Species. Yeah.
Kyle (15:33):
Yeah. I bet a
Cam (15:34):
snapping turtle that size
could put a hurting on those
snakes.
Matt Harrison (15:36):
Ain't no doubt.
Kyle (15:36):
I bet you're right. You
know, while you were telling
that story, it reminded me of astory I heard that was sent to
us. I don't remember exactlywhat state it took place in, but
it was somewhere in theNorthwest. I think it was Idaho,
but I'm not certain. Well, therewas these two guys in their
early twenties, and they weregood friends.
The guy telling the story, hisbest friend's name was Matt, and
(15:57):
they'd been hunting like most ofus most of their life. And they
had this particular spot wherethey always went, and he said it
was early deer season, and theyhad tree stands, and they were a
couple 100 yards apart, so theycouldn't see each other. And
where they were at, lousy cellphone signal, so they couldn't
text each other, they couldn'tcall each other. But where they
(16:19):
parked their pickup trucks, theykind of made it their routine
that, you know, when we head onout of here, how long do think
you're going to sit? Know, andthey'd agree, well, I'll I'll
I'll leave an hour aftersunrise.
I'll come back, or, you know, the opposite. Once it gets dark,
you know, thirty minutes afterit's dark, I'm probably gonna
head back unless there's someaction or something, you know,
you can only see so far. Theysaid it was really densely
wooded, so it gets dark earlierthan it would if you were just
(16:42):
in a pasture. So they wenthunting this one evening. They
were like, alright.
Good luck. I'll see you here atthe truck, you know, thirty
minutes after dark. Alright.Cool. They go and they sit, and
it's a typical night.
Doesn't really see anything, theguy telling the story. And he's
like, alright. Well, it's thetime to get down. He said he
climbs down, and he goes back tothe pickup trucks, and he's
waiting on Matt. He said, goesby, and Matt's not showing up.
(17:06):
You know? You know, just likeyou, Matt. Mean, like, there's
no telling what you're doing. You're always sidetracked.
Cam (17:10):
You know?
Kyle (17:10):
So he's like, man, Matt's
sidetracked somewhere. I don't
know what maybe he shotsomething. Maybe that's what's
got him held up. Maybe I shouldgo help him. Maybe he's tracking
something.
Go help Matt. Maybe I'll helpgut it or or whatever. So he
goes heading towards Matt'sstand. And by this time, it's
completely dark, so he's gottause his headlamp. Well, he gets
to Matt's stand, and Matt's notin it.
And he's like, well
Cam (17:31):
That's never
Kyle (17:32):
He starts calling his name
like, hey, Matt. Matt, you out
here? You know, are you alright?Did you get something? No reply.
So he starts walking around, andhe's looking for blood or
footprints or anything thatwould lead me to believe that
maybe Matt shot something outthere tracking it, you know.
Man, he don't see nothing. Well,he, you know, looks at his phone
again, still no signal. So Ican't text him. I can't call
(17:54):
him.
He just starts walking aroundthe woods and calling his name
every once in
Cam (18:00):
while, like, hey. Are you
there? Are you there?
Kyle (18:01):
Matt, what are you? Are
you hurt? Are you hurt, buddy?
You know, holler to me. Silence.
So he ends up walking aroundfor, like, three hours, and he's
like, now it's, like, coming upon ten p. M. I don't know where
Matt's at.
Cam (18:14):
He's starting to get
Matt Harrison (18:14):
real Starting to
get worried.
Cam (18:15):
At this point.
Kyle (18:16):
So he's like, I don't
know. He just said, I got this
overwhelming sensation to justgo this direction. He's like, I
Matt Harrison (18:22):
could go any
direction because I don't
Kyle (18:23):
know where you're but I
got this overwhelming feeling to
go this direction. So he's like, well, I'm gonna start heading
that direction. He said hestarts going down this path. He
ain't never been down it before,or at least he doesn't recognize
it in the dark, and he says he'sgoing through, and all of a
sudden he comes to this thewoods start to open up a little
bit, and there's a clearing inthe middle of this forest, and
he said, it's a perfect circle. And in the circle, he can see
(18:47):
something, but it's still kindof far away with his headlamp it
won't reach.
So he starts walking to thecircle, and as he gets closer to
the circle, he sees what lookslike his buddy Matt sitting in
the center of the circle, likehunched over. And so he he's
like, Matt, are you alright? Noresponse, no movement, no
nothing. So he walks in. Hesays, soon as he crosses the
(19:07):
barrier where that circlestarts, it's like sticking your
head underwater.
He's like, all the sound wentaway. It was like, you know,
like, things sound differentwhen you're underwater. He's
like, it was I could feel thepressure, the denseness.
Something was different. He saidhe backed up out of the circle,
and everything returned tonormal.
And he was like, do what? AsMatt would say. He walked back
(19:29):
in the circle, same sensation. He's like, man, I don't know. I
started sending this real badfeeling.
So he just walks over to hisfriend and shakes him, and he
says when he does that, Mattcomes to. And he's like, Matt,
what are you doing? He's like,where I don't know. Where am I?
He's like, you're sitting in themiddle of the circle.
I've been looking for you forhours. He's like, let's get out
of here. He picks his buddy Mattup. His mat is kinda like out of
(19:51):
it. Like, he's woozy.
Like, he looks drunk orsomething. He drags him out of
the circle, all the soundsreturn, and he's like, what what
were you doing? And Matt's, youknow, slowly coming out of this
daze he's in, and he's like,man, I don't know. He's like, I
was hunting, and I just Ithought I heard something
calling to me, and I had thissensation to go this direction,
(20:12):
so I climbed down out of mystand, and I kept walking down
this path, and he's like, Idon't really remember anything
else. Something kept luring meluring me this way, and he's
like, well, don't know.
Where's your where's yourwhere's your gun? He was like,
man, I don't know. So they goback to the trucks. Matt, by
this time, he doesn't reallyknow what happened, he's not
groggy anymore, and he's justlike, man, I don't know what
(20:33):
that was. They go home.
Well, the next day, not Matt, but the guy that saved Matt
tells his dad this story, he waslike, well, I wanna go out there
with you, and I want you to lookat this circle. So his dad's
like, okay. Yeah. Take me outthere. So they go out there.
It's like midday. They startheading down. They get to Matt's
stand, and the guy rememberskinda where he walked and where
(20:53):
he found Matt. They keep walkingdown the same path. They don't
find a circle.
Can't find it. They said, well, maybe I took the maybe I took
the wrong step. So they lookaround, and they look for hours.
They cannot find this circle, and so to this day, they don't
know what that was, and theguy's like, look, man. I've
heard all the missing huntingstories from David Pilates.
(21:13):
I've heard the things online.I've heard other podcasts
talking about it. I've heard oftime slips, portals. Goes That's
Matt Harrison (21:20):
not very smart.
Kyle (21:21):
I don't know what that
was.
Matt Harrison (21:22):
Going after the
call.
Cam (21:23):
You had a little
Kyle (21:24):
bit
Cam (21:24):
But
Kyle (21:24):
we experienced something,
and it was like, we can't
explain it. And they he nevertalked about not hunting
anymore. Like, I think theycontinue to hunt. I don't think
they hunt there, But you hearthe sightings like that.
Matt Harrison (21:33):
That's the first
thing I thought of was missing
four one. One of
Kyle (21:35):
those Because a of the
cases,
Cam (21:36):
they talk
Matt Harrison (21:36):
come back up.
Kyle (21:37):
People are, like, in a
daze. Like, they don't they
don't know what they're doing.
Cam (21:40):
It's
Matt Harrison (21:40):
like a pocket
where there's just another
dimension or the veil is alittle thinner there or
something.
Kyle (21:46):
Yeah. He was
Cam (21:46):
just The Fae realm.
Kyle (21:47):
Yeah. Wadded up Something
weird. Middle of that circle. He
said it was like a 30 footdiameter circle, perfectly
circle. He said if you looked upin the trees, the branches
didn't even
Matt Harrison (21:56):
So it was like
but
Kyle (21:57):
they're Just green grass.
Matt Harrison (21:59):
But then they
went back to the circle in
there.
Kyle (22:02):
Couldn't find it. Couldn't
find it. Went back the next day
and they couldn't find thecircle.
Cam (22:06):
Said it was gone. Guess
he's pretty sure he walked in
Kyle (22:09):
the same circle. He said
they looked for
Matt Harrison (22:10):
a while. And if
they hunted those woods, I'm
sure they knew
Cam (22:12):
where they were.
Kyle (22:13):
Exactly. Especially in the
daylight, you
Cam (22:14):
would know, like, look, I
can narrow it down pretty close
to where it's gonna be in thisarea, and it's not there.
Kyle (22:19):
Is that like an alternate
timeline they were on for that
afternoon? What was the
Matt Harrison (22:24):
We need another
log on this spot. Is deserves
Cam (22:27):
another log. I I want
Matt Harrison (22:28):
some more light.
Yeah. Yeah.
Kyle (22:30):
Didn't like that noise
back there.
Matt Harrison (22:31):
Yeah. Did y'all
hear that?
Cam (22:32):
We got what was the one
where we had the the fellow that
sent us a story about hikingwhen he was walking, it like
turned to smoke, and he couldn'thear, and it looked like the
remember it was like near thewildfires?
Kyle (22:44):
Yeah. I think that was I
think it was Pennsylvania, but
maybe it was California. Wereyou talking about the ones with
the the forest towers?
Cam (22:49):
Yeah. And then it was like
Kyle (22:50):
It was him and his
girlfriend that
Cam (22:51):
had hike. Yeah.
Kyle (22:52):
And he said they, like,
came to this they walked this
area a lot. They hike on it. Iguess it's like a national
forest, like a trail orsomething, and they walked they
saw this fog settle on thefield, and the trail went
directly into that fog, and theywent into the fog, no big deal,
and when they came out of thefog, everything looked
different. Mhmm. Like, the firetowers looked like old, like,
they looked like they had aged a100 years, They had like a grime
(23:15):
and film all over them, and itwas like they were somewhere
else.
Cam (23:18):
The upside down.
Kyle (23:19):
Yeah. Yeah.
Cam (23:20):
Something something
Kyle (23:20):
like that.
Cam (23:21):
Some crazy idea, but I
Kyle (23:23):
don't remember the rest of
the details. I remember because
what I remember is they couldn'thear anything.
Cam (23:27):
It was there was no sound.
There was smell of smoke. And
they couldn't solve Everything, yeah. And it was all like it had
burned off and then just beenleft untouched for years. And it
took a bit before they couldfind their way back.
And when they come back out ofit, he was like it was just like
where they left. It was sunnyand nice
Kyle (23:46):
and Yeah. Inside there was
gloomy and dark. And then
Cam (23:48):
when they he said they got
out, you know, kinda got when
the the fog or whatever it waswas gone, it was all back to the
way it was. Yeah. He's like, itwas all exactly the way it was.
Like, none of it we don't knowhow they got over to it. I got
one that's that's creepy thatdoesn't really have to do with,
you know, crossing over theveil, but it's more of something
I think would be interesting tosee.
(24:10):
We got a story from a womannamed Mary Ann. Mary Ann tells a
story that took place in inWashington at the in the
foothills of Mount Rainier. Herand her boyfriend and one of his
friends and some others, likehis girlfriend, several of them
decided to go on a camping trip, and it was mainly to go, from
what it sounds like, not reallywhere they were gonna hunt in
the area, but they all liked tohunt. So they decided they were
(24:31):
gonna go and camp and then goglass, just go see what they
could see, deer, elk, whateverthey can find. Right?
So they found a good spot, andshe says that they were gonna
come back later that evening toglass. Her and her boyfriend and
and one of his friends, they gottheir camos on, grabbed the
glass, headed out. She saidthey're walking down on a
logging road, and the firstthing that she noticed is that
all the tree limbs at a certainheight were broke, but not off,
(24:55):
just snapped and turned in acertain direction. And so the
first thing I thought of waslike, okay, a logging truck went
down. Right?
Something went down. It had thewhole deal broken But and
drugged them she said there wasno broken limbs on the ground
and no tracks. So she was like, well, that's kinda weird. I
don't know what would it's nobig deal. Goes on.
They get set up on this littleridge. She said there's a creek
(25:16):
down below them, and they'relooking off about a 125 yards or
so into this little clearing. And he said she said it was
great. As the light then itstarts getting a little later
and a little later, she saidit's just dark enough where you
can see movement, but you can'treally make out what it is. But
you start hearing she said, westarted hearing a deer.
(25:38):
Like, you could tell it's adeer. It's running, runs
through. She said, it comes infront down there in that area,
and it stops. She said you couldhear it breathing, but it's
also, like, blowing. Like, it'sso scared this deer is just
having a meltdown.
She said around this point, ifyou were looking at the deer
straight on, and that's her12:00, she was like, at 10:00
and 02:00, we saw dull flashesof blue light. She said probably
(26:04):
80 yards or so, 90 yards pastwhere that that deer was in that
area. Now she said it's so far.You can't make out what it is.
But she said, we saw a littlepulse of light.
That was it. She said, a fewmore minutes goes by or maybe
and it's she probably wasn'teven that long. Maybe a minute.
This deer is running side toside down to you. She can't
really see it.
Kyle (26:23):
They can't see it. They
can just hear it.
Cam (26:24):
They hear things moving.
She said, then we hear some type
of chatter. And I always wonderif it was the Sierra sounds, and
if you don't, they'll, you know, just see it. She didn't say what
it was, just chatter. She saidat this moment, her boyfriend's
buddy decided it would be a goodidea to let out a howl.
I don't know if it was, like, the Bigfoot howl or just
(26:45):
whatever.
Matt Harrison (26:46):
This sounds like
something happened.
Cam (26:46):
Right? Just like now it's
fun. That and so he cuts out
this howl. She said withinseconds, the one at 10:00 lets
out a howl. Something from thatwhere that light was calls back.
The one at 02:00 calls back. Shesaid at that moment in the creek
below, she said it's right downbelow their feet. There's a game
(27:07):
trail down in there that youcould see was kinda coming up.
She hears rocks hit the water, and she said, all you see is
something big rise up down belowus by that game trail. She said
it was around that time we said, let's dip.
Yep. We're all gonna go. Shesaid they headed back down. She
goes, we got the feeling as westand up, dread. She said this
(27:29):
feeling that we interruptedsomething, and whatever it is we
interrupted is now aggravated atus, because she said you could
feel the weight of, like, uneasiness settle on them.
She said they made it about 60yards, 70 yards down back down
the logging road with theirheadlamps. She said we're we're
(27:49):
moving pretty quick. This point, she said they see one track in
that logging road that she saidis a 15 inch foot Oh
Matt Harrison (27:56):
my goodness.
Cam (27:58):
She said, pretty wide and
15 inches long. We're bringing
in the song dogs, y'all. So shesaid they wait till the next
morning. Next morning, they getup and they go back down there,
her and the boyfriend, and andthey hang up flagging tape where
(28:18):
they heard and where they thinkthey heard and saw those sounds.
They put flagging tape up andall that stuff, looking for
other tracks.
No big deal. She said thefollowing weekend, her and her
boyfriend and her daughterdecide we're gonna go back out
in the day, midday, and we'regonna get up and glass. We wanna
go see where it was whathappened last week. She said as
they get there, none of theflagging is up. Limbs are broke
(28:41):
off where the flagging was.
The whole thing looks like it'sbeen ransacked where they went
and walked down in there anddisturbed whatever it was the
week before. Now she said, Idon't know, because they didn't
see anything other than somegiant shadow moving. But she
goes, I don't know. What elsecould it be that was making
those sounds? And she said, seemed to be intelligently
(29:01):
corralling a white tailed deertowards a creek or a river with
two pushing it in and one on theriver or on the other side.
If it was to get in it, thenboom. Like driving it and
bottlenecking it to it.
Matt Harrison (29:15):
I wanna know why
the limbs were cut.
Cam (29:17):
Yeah. Who knows what that
right? It's just was it
something that maybe an oldlogging truck did it way back
and then it just put
Matt Harrison (29:23):
a finger
Kyle (29:24):
on that.
Cam (29:24):
You would think. Yeah. Is
it that thing? What is it going
down and marking it? Because weget tales, and there's a lot of
stories of stuff where they limband tree breaks where they're up
top high at a certain way.
They just break the tops off ofold trees. I mean, I have no
idea. I don't know what it couldhave possibly been about. But it
made that story instantly keyedone where we had a guy on the
(29:45):
show that had done someinterviews, Gary, and he had
interviewed a lot of of Bigfootwitnesses, and he had talked to
a man that was probably onlymaybe an hour south of where we
live right now. And it was theold fella's wife had actually
contacted Gary and said, I needyou to come talk to my husband.
You need somebody to
Kyle (30:04):
talk
Cam (30:04):
to. Old fella was, of
course, was back in the early
2000s. This guy was, I think, mid to late 70s at the time. Old
cowboy. Did not care for any ofthis.
The wife finally made him tellit, so this is what he told. And
this is what Gary shared withus, is the old man decided to go
down during the deer season.
Matt Harrison (30:22):
He was gonna go.
He had the feeders going.
Kyle (30:24):
He wanted to go shoot a
pig.
Cam (30:25):
So he said, I'm gonna go
down there and just kill a hog.
So he went and climbed up in hisrifle stand. It probably wasn't
too high, know, given his age.He probably wasn't climbing up
in a big tower stand. So hehopped up in the box.
He said he was there. Startsgetting late. Feeder goes off.
Here come the pigs. Pigs comein.
They're feeding. He told Garythat what he witnessed was
(30:46):
movement that at first hethought was a big cat because of
the way it moved. He said whatit turned
Kyle (30:52):
out to
Cam (30:52):
be was a Sasquatch, was
some on all fours, but not on
his knees, like your hands andfeet, like your spider crawling,
right, moving under thesecedars, moved under those cedars
while those pigs were feeding. And he said, it was insane to
witness it lunge out, grab oneof those pigs, smack it to kill
(31:16):
it, pulled part of its leg off, threw it over its shoulder, and
just took off walking with it.And this old fella, that's What
do
Matt Harrison (31:25):
you even do?
Well, that's
Cam (31:27):
that was it. Is he was and
that's what Gary said, what did
you do? He goes, what what couldI do? He said, I just sat there
and watched it in completedisbelief. He goes, that's the
reason he didn't
Kyle (31:36):
wanna tell anybody. Right?
It's just
Cam (31:37):
like, who's gonna believe
this?
Kyle (31:39):
Ruin your pants. That's
what you do.
Cam (31:40):
Yeah. I mean, it's you and
he climbed down, went to the
house, and that was it, and heand he told and this is a fella
that had been a rancher and acowboy his entire life, been out
there in the woods the wholetime, and was like, I don't know
that I'm gonna go back outthere.
Kyle (31:53):
Because he's like, I don't
even
Cam (31:54):
know if my rifle would
knock it down if I hit it. He
said, this thing was massive, but moved like a cat. Was on it
and
Kyle (32:02):
gone. No.
Matt Harrison (32:02):
Just the spider
crawling always creeps me out
when you hear these stories.Like, you you could there's so
many people that tell thesestories where you're like, yeah,
maybe it was a Sasquatch, maybeit was something else. There's
nothing else that big that coulddo the spider crawl.
Cam (32:17):
Not like that. Yeah.
Imagine like starting linemen in
the NFL moving like that, andthen something bigger than
Negative. Right? Where you'relike,
Kyle (32:24):
how is that possible?
Matt Harrison (32:25):
And how quick
they are.
Cam (32:26):
Yes. And even the old
fellow even said there was no
sound. The pigs had no idea.Nothing even knew it was there.
It was like, it just happened tobe.
Now I know people that havekilled mountain lions around
feeders during bow season. Besitting there, and you just have
a mountain lion come in becauseit's hunting the feeder the way
you are. It knows something'sgonna come there, and it'll
feed. One of them passingthrough just so may be so happen
(32:48):
to be there. I can't imaginesitting there and be like Yeah.
Didn't I think you
Kyle (32:52):
told us a story where our
buddy of yours was like stalking
something.
Matt Harrison (32:55):
Yes. He was
turkey hunting. And he was in he
was in some crazy thick woodedarea. And he was on this turkey,
and he heard the turkeygobbling, and he got close, but
he got to a spot where he had toget on his hands and knees. And
he said he was crawling throughthe woods, and the turkey would
gobble.
He's like, oh, I'm getting I'mgetting closer. And as he was
(33:18):
getting closer, he was like, oh,I'm right here on the turkey.
Well, about that time, he hearssomething crawling right beside
him, and he turns and looked. And he said from me to cam is
this panther doing the samething he's doing after the
turkey. But look.
He said he's looking at thepanther. Panther looks over
(33:39):
here. Back.
Kyle (33:40):
And, like, that's it. My
life's
Matt Harrison (33:42):
takes the deep
breath
Kyle (33:43):
Here we go.
Matt Harrison (33:44):
Turns and looks
back, and it's gone.
Kyle (33:46):
Secured it as
Matt Harrison (33:47):
much as a
security alert. Heard it leave,
never saw it leave, didn't sitout his peripheral, but by the
time he looked back, he wasgone, couldn't find it, but he's
he he
Cam (33:57):
Don't feel like turkey
hunting so much anymore.
Kyle (33:58):
Nope. I don't want to
charge the next one.
Cam (34:00):
Yeah. Exactly.
Matt Harrison (34:01):
Exactly. Could
you imagine?
Kyle (34:03):
Yeah. You're like, oh.
I've never seen one.
Cam (34:05):
No. I don't wanna see one
Matt Harrison (34:07):
But imagine
you're stalking the same thing
he's stalking. Makes you thinkyou've probably been around him,
though. Oh, a 100%.
Kyle (34:13):
A 100
Cam (34:14):
Oh, the boat This when
Matt Harrison (34:16):
is God's honest
truth, and I'm sure we have some
listeners that's had thisexperience before, but I've been
literally turkey hunting before, and you either coyotes
Cam (34:26):
Oh, yeah.
Matt Harrison (34:26):
Come in, or
bobcats will be stalking in,
because you know bobcats getturkeys all time. They love
them. But they'll come in just,I mean, they're hunting.
Cam (34:35):
Turkey's good. And Turkey's
good.
Matt Harrison (34:38):
So I mean, no
telling how many we've had
encounters with that we have noidea are right behind us, beside
us. I mean, y'all just heardthis back here, all these
coyotes.
Kyle (34:48):
Yeah. Kicked off. Yeah.
Was great. Yeah.
Cam (34:49):
It was great.
Kyle (34:50):
Well, when you were
telling that story about an
impossibly large and strongwhatever it was that took the
pig, reminded me of a story wegot years ago. This fellow lived
in Kansas City, Missouri, andhis grandfather owned some land
not too far away, a 100 miles orso, and he him and his sisters,
(35:10):
they would spend a couple monthsevery summer out there. And he
said his parents would drop themoff, and he didn't know what his
sisters did. They played andhelped out Memaw, but he got to
help his grandpa do all thehaying and stuff, and he it was
a highlight of his year becausehe got to drive all the cool
tractors and stuff. So he saidhe was out there helping his
grandpa, and they hauled a bunchof hay, and they had the bales,
(35:30):
big square bales, the big ones, out in the field.
They put them in the field, youknow? And the day's work was
done, and it was not a big deal. They had supper and went to bed,
and he said the next morning hegot up and had some breakfast
and saw his grandfather staringout the window looking into the
field. And he said he just had aweird look on his face, and he
watched him for a few minutes. And he was like, you know,
(35:52):
granddad, what are you lookingat?
And he said, you don't see it,do you? And he said he looked
out the window. I said, no. Idon't I don't see it. He's like,
they've moved.
And he's like, what's moved? Hesaid, the square bales. They've
moved a couple feet from wherewe put them. And he was like, do
what? He's like, yeah.
Yeah. He's like, I didn't know.He said the next day they spent
(36:16):
the day doing work and mendingfences and stuff, and regular
night went to bed, and he gotup. Sure enough, he looked in
the field, and the bales thistime had moved like a 100 feet
from where they were. And theywere not just moving as a bunch,
they were taking some kind ofform, shape, and he was like,
(36:39):
well, first of all, why wouldsomebody come out here and move
these bales?
How would they move them all andus not hear it? Like, what was
the point? Well, this continuedfor a couple days. It wouldn't
happen every night, but everyevery third night or so, they'd
get up and the bales would bemoved again, couple 100 feet.
(37:01):
And he said his grandpa lookedreal worried, real worried.
Wouldn't tell him what, youknow, what he thought it was. So
he started feeling bad for hisgranddad because he could tell
he was upset. So he said, well, tonight, I'm gonna get my
shotgun, a pot of coffee, andI'm gonna sit on the front
porch. My god, and
Cam (37:17):
I'm gonna
Matt Harrison (37:17):
see who's stand
I'm stand
Kyle (37:20):
out who's messing with my
Cam (37:21):
You're gonna put them in
the barn if you're gonna move
them. Mean, if you're gonna putyour hands Put them on the
trail. Least get them in thebarn or get them near Yeah.
Kyle (37:28):
Well and he said before he
sat out on the porch, they
started moving. They startedtaking a shape, and they started
making what looked kinda like acrude circle around the
farmhouse with the farmhousebeing in the middle of the
circle. But we're talking alarge circle, like 100 a 100
yards by 100 yards big. Anyway,so he sat on the porch. He's
(37:51):
like, I got a plan.
I'm gonna find out who's doingthis. He said he sat there
Cam (37:55):
for hours It's turbaned
off.
Kyle (37:57):
Hours and hours, and, you
know, he was getting sleepy. He
was pretty late, started, youknow, nodding off, and then he
said he heard this sound, likethis calamity, this sound he
couldn't identify coming fromthe bushes on one side of the
hayfield. So he's like, oh,yeah. Here it comes. Here comes
the guys.
Matt Harrison (38:15):
And he said it
was like Here we go. Full moon,
but
Kyle (38:17):
it was light enough to
where you could see if people
were out in the field. You knowwhat I mean? Like, they would
look dark. But he
Matt Harrison (38:22):
said he saw
something come out
Kyle (38:23):
of the of the brush line
there, and he said, whatever it
was, it was tall. He said itprobably was eight feet tall. He
said it had long arms and hadlong legs. It looked dark. He
couldn't see, you know, couldn'tsee what it was.
It looked dark. But he watchedit come across the pasture, and
(38:46):
it picked up a bale with easeand moved it to a spot it
wanted. And he just sat thereand watched it for a while, and
he was like, I don't know Idon't know what to do. I don't
know if to get my grandpa. Idon't know if I should go try to
shoot this thing.
He said it freaked him out. Andso he went in the house, didn't
do anything. He got up in themorning, and he told his
(39:09):
grandpa. He's like, listen, man.I gotta tell you something.
He's like, I know what's movingthose veils. I hate I saw it
last night. This would be a hardtalk
Cam (39:16):
to have with your granddad.
I mean, seriously, like, to be
like, hey, grandpa,
Kyle (39:22):
I gotta Yeah. So his
grandpa said, like he said his
grandpa had a really worriedlook on his face, and he's like,
come out here to the barn. Iwanna have a talk with you. So
he's like, uh-oh. I'm introuble.
You know, because I didn'treally ask to use the shotgun
and all that. Just did it on myown trying to, you know, get my
grandpa's back. And he said hisgrandpa took him in the barn,
and he said, I'm gonna tell yousomething. I don't want you to
(39:42):
ever tell anybody else. He said,I've seen this before, but it
was years and years ago when Iwas young.
And he's like, the hay baleswould be moving. And he's like,
my dad, I wanted to help himout. And so when the thing would
move the hay bales, I would movethem back and stack them where
we wanted them. And he said hisdad came out the next day and
(40:05):
said, did you move those balesback to
Matt Harrison (40:06):
where we had
them?
Kyle (40:07):
And he said, yeah. He
said, don't do that. He said, do
not you just leave them wherethey leave them. Do not touch
it. And he asked this.
This was his grandfather askinghis dad Yeah. What is it? And he
goes, we don't know. He said, every, like, fifty, sixty years
this happens. And he's like, whatever it is, it's clearly
(40:28):
marking like a boundary or aline that it doesn't want us to
cross.
So wherever it leaves them, donot cross the line. Not ever.
And his grandpa, the boys that'stelling the story, his grandpa
said, I never thought I wouldsee something like that again
until this started happening, and I'm pretty much telling you
the same thing.
Matt Harrison (40:47):
Just leave
Kyle (40:48):
it alone. Just leave it
alone. And he said, a couple
weeks later, his parents pickedhim up, took him home for the
summer. A couple years afterthat, grandpa died and sold the
ranch, sold the farm. So hedoesn't know that in forty years
from now, something's gonnahappen again.
Who knows?
Cam (41:03):
Turned back up.
Kyle (41:04):
But we don't know what
that was. He doesn't know what
it is either.
Matt Harrison (41:07):
The hay bales
were moving. And the hay bales
Seems generational. I mean, mean, it seems like there's
there's migration.
Kyle (41:12):
Me of nothing like what it
looked like, but remember the
movies Jeepers Creepers where, like, every twenty six years it
comes back Yeah.
Matt Harrison (41:18):
Yeah. It would
come back.
Kyle (41:19):
Terrorizes people?
Something like that.
Cam (41:22):
Well, if
Matt Harrison (41:23):
I was that kid,
I'd have bailed. Yeah. Bailed
that.
Kyle (41:27):
He doesn't give an exact
age
Matt Harrison (41:28):
of how
Cam (41:28):
old was.
Kyle (41:29):
You know? This this kid,
but I don't know if that means
he's 16 or This guy.
Matt Harrison (41:34):
Yeah. I'd stuck a
piece of hay in my hat and
headed out.
Cam (41:39):
Dude, that would just be so
unsettling. The thing that makes
it the most unsettling isn'tmaybe seeing it as much as
probably it but the fact thatyour grandfather Yeah. Right?
Like, the man that you Youlooked looked up up to. To Yeah.
Tech is the man of the day. Theunstoppable force, right, is
your granddad, and he's like, don't you I'm scared. Granddad,
if you're scared, I'm terrifiedat this point. Right? What am I
(42:01):
gonna do?
Kyle (42:03):
Yeah. Yeah. It's bad. Bad
story.
Matt Harrison (42:05):
Well, I think
that's a good point for us to
stop and make a s'more, don'tyou?
Kyle (42:09):
Okay. I'm always down for
s'mores.
Cam (42:11):
We got some s'more what?
Matt Harrison (42:12):
You want some
s'more stories? We got s'more
stories coming up. Stories. Wegot s'more stories coming
straight up right after thes'mores. We'll be back to you in
a minute.
Kyle (42:21):
A minute? I like it.
Matt Harrison (42:31):
Stay tuned to the
Ducks Unlimited podcast
sponsored by Purina Pro Plan andBird Dog Whiskey after these
messages.
Cam (42:49):
Here we
Matt Harrison (42:50):
go. Y'all ready?
Yep.
Cam (42:51):
And we're back with bellies
full of s'mores. That's right.
We're back with more of thehaunted hunting club.
Kyle (42:58):
I
Cam (42:58):
hope you get to see a
little behind the scenes, and I
hope you all get to check outsome bloopers because it's been
an interesting evening, to putit lightly, around here. I'm
gonna keep it interestingbecause I've got a story. As
long as we're gonna keep itcreepy, talking about seeing
real creepy things, we got amessage, email sent to us by a
(44:58):
fellow named Edgar. Edgar, thankyou. He was in North Carolina
doing a little hiking back in2021, he said.
He says in there, he openlyadmits. He said, I was not in a
good place. I needed to get awayand just spend some time in the
outdoors. Right? And just clearmy head.
So he said, went out to theplace that he always goes. I
think it was near I wanna sayGreensville,
Kyle (45:21):
I believe is where he
said.
Cam (45:22):
So he goes to the spot. He
likes to go. He hikes up, sets
up camp. He said the first nighthe was there, totally
uneventful. He said just abeautiful evening in the woods,
no no clouds in the sky.
He said it was actually a greatevening. He said so he was
really amped for the nextmorning. So he pops up about
05:30, grabs all of his gear. Hesaid he had a spot he wanted to
(45:43):
get to, and he was gonna hangout up there, I guess, most of
day and then come back to campthat evening. He said he'd been
hiking a few hours.
You know, sun's up. It's comingup pretty good. He said this
time, of course, it's uphill. He's making a good uphill hike.
He said it's kicking his butt, and he's huffing.
He's puffing, of course. So hefinds a little spot that it
slopes off and levels. So he'slike, I'm just gonna stop right
(46:05):
here. So he stops. He's standingthere catching his breath, and
he notices movement.
He said, I look down in thislittle bottom, and I see a dog.
And he's like, well, somebodybrought their pup and just left
it out here. He's like, well, that's kinda sad. So he's
watching the dog, and he noticesthat it's coming towards him. So
(46:28):
he's like, well, we're gonnafind out what kind of pup it is.
He says, as the dog is closingthe distance, you can only
imagine what it turns into. Hesays, starts making its way up
the hill towards him, kind ofnot directly towards him, just a
little bit in front. He says, asit comes to crest into the
ridge, the dog stands up. Hesaid, when it comes to full
(46:51):
height, it's about seven foottall. Oh my goodness.
It's standing a 100 feet fromhim. He said, all I can do when
I realize what it is is he'slike, I'm kinda leaned up by a
tree, a little bit of a shade. He said, I just freeze. All I
can think is if I don't move, ifI don't acknowledge
Kyle (47:06):
it It
Cam (47:07):
won't see me. It won't see
me. He said, so I'm not moving.
I'm just staring directly atthis dog man, this giant
werewolf. And he said, thisthing stands in the trail for a
split second and then slowlyturns his head to look directly
at it.
He said, I lock eyes with it,and there's no fear. He said, I
(47:28):
didn't feel threatened. I didn'tfeel what he has come to learn
other people report saying orfeeling. He said, what it was
felt is like this thing. Hesaid, it almost felt like it was
talking to me without saying it.
Like, I just felt this. It wasintensely curious as to not only
what I was, but what I was doingthere. He said it was just
studying me. As it studied me,he said, noticed it starts
(47:51):
slowly making its way around andthen into the tree line, and he
lost of it. He said the minuteit went out of sight, he said, I
felt something like completeexhaustion wash over me.
I don't know if it was shock. Idon't know what it was, but he
said it washed over me. Ithought I was gonna be So he sat
down, got him a drink of waterright there in the trail, just
(48:14):
kinda caught himself, took aknee, got him a drink of water,
said, you know what? I thinkthat's enough hiking for the
day. Turns around, goes all theway back down to to camp.
Didn't leave just yet. Goes backto camp. He said, I kinda gather
myself. I make me a meal. Ifinish it.
He said, it still felt like Iwas in a daze of, like, what did
(48:35):
I just experience? Packedeverything up,
Kyle (48:38):
loaded it all back up,
Cam (48:39):
and he said within an hour
I was gone, headed back home. He
said, I've not been back out tothat area, but he said, I don't
know what it was, but unlikeother stories, he said, it
actually helped me. He said it Ichanged my life. I changed
everything about my whole, like, focus in life, and everything
(48:59):
got right back on the righttrack. He said, I don't know if
it was something that was thereto do that, if it was the
interaction.
Kyle (49:04):
Said, I
Cam (49:05):
have no idea. But he said,
I was less than a hundred foot
from a seven foot tall werewolf, and it changed my life for the
better.
Kyle (49:11):
It's like a paranormal
scared straight. That's exactly
Cam (49:14):
exactly what it is. Yeah.
If a seven foot tall werewolf
doesn't make you get in line, Idon't know
Kyle (49:21):
what Yeah. What would?
Cam (49:21):
Yeah. What's gonna what's
gonna make it work?
Kyle (49:23):
I got one. This was sent
to me a couple years ago, and
it's pretty interesting becauseit opened my eyes to something I
didn't think was possible. Sothere was this young couple.
They got married, and they wereliving in an apartment, and they
were saving their money. Thenabout three years later, they
had enough money to buy theirfirst home.
They bought this beautifulfarmhouse that they really liked
(49:45):
on the outskirts of town, andthe guy said, well, his wife
really likes to decorate. Imean, she that's her that's her
passion. She's, like, great atit. She's always coming home
with new decorations, and it'sseasonal, right? For every
season, she's got all thedecorations, which means he has
to help.
Cam (50:02):
I think everybody
Kyle (50:03):
married knows you gotta
you gotta help. So he's
constantly changing the stuffout. Well, now you gotta get the
Christmas stuff down. This andthat. She loved the house.
She thought it was perfectexcept for one thing. He said
his wife had it in his mind thatshe did not like the front door.
He was like, what do you mean? There's nothing wrong with it.
She's like, yeah.
Don't look right. Yep. It don'tfit the house. And he was like,
(50:23):
what are you what are youtalking about? It's fine.
You know, typical guy thing.Yeah. Does it close as fine.
Right? No air
Cam (50:28):
gets out. Does it lock?
Kyle (50:29):
You wanna change the
color? And she's like, no.
That's not what I want. I want
Cam (50:31):
It fits just perfect. Yeah.
Kyle (50:33):
I want an old style
farmhouse door, not a replica.
Like, I want a real one from, like, the early twentieth
century, maybe late nineteenthcentury. And he's like, okay.
Whatever. So they proceed tostart looking for an old door.
So they start going to all theseantique shops and all these flea
markets and all these yard salesand estate sales, and it just
(50:56):
drags on for, like, six months. She never finds nothing she
likes. You know? Like, when I goshopping, I know I need jeans. I
go in, pick out the size, walkout.
My wife, you could be there forthree hours. I'm like, you don't
see nothing you like? Same kindof deal. So at this time, this
is this is what his fate is.Well, he said, one particular
day, nothing special.
They go to this estate sale, andit's on an old farm. He said
(51:18):
they look around, don't reallysee anything they like, and
they're to leave, and an old manin, like, overalls comes up, and
he said, well, did you go lookin the barn? And they're like,
no, sir. He's like, well, everything in there is for sale
too, so long before you leave,go down there and take a look.
And he's like, well, alright.
So him and his wife, they godown in the barn, and there's a
few knickknacks and old thingsin there. I don't know who
(51:40):
passed away, you know, and therewas this old barn I mean, front
door, not a barn door. Old frontdoor. It was perfect. The eureka
moment.
His wife was like, that's it.That's what I've had pictured in
my head. I gotta have it. Gottahave it. He's like, thank God
she finally found you.
Cam (51:58):
Right? Good.
Kyle (51:59):
So he goes to the old man
in the overalls. He's like, hey.
My wife really likes that door. How much do want for You know?
And he's like, oh, it's gonnahurt the checkbook.
He's like, I'll take $45 for it.And he's like, dude, sold. Can't
believe his luck. Right? So theybuy it.
And he's like, man, I'm gonnaget to work on it the next day.
So the next day, you know, hesands it, he restains it, gets
(52:20):
it hung. His wife is thrilled. It's perfect. It's perfect.
Take a picture in front of me,in front of
Cam (52:25):
the door, you know,
Kyle (52:26):
taking pictures of the
door, posting it on stuff. Loves
the door. Everything's fine.Well, one night, five or six
nights later, he said he woke upin the middle of the night, and
he heard like a doorknobrattling. And he was like, man,
I'm having a weird dream orsomething.
So he laid back down, then hesaid he heard it again. So he
(52:49):
got up and went in the kitchen, and he heard it again, and he
was like, man, it's coming fromthe front door. So he goes to
the front door, and he checksit, and no, it's locked. It's
shut. It's fine.
He's like, man, I'm losing mymind. So he goes back to bed. He
said, it ain't two or threenights later, same scenario. And
(53:09):
this keeps going on. And he'slike, I started looking at my
security cameras.
There ain't nobody at the frontdoor twisting the knob. So then
it starts getting progressivelyworse. They'll be sound asleep,
and they'll hear that front doorslam shut, like, hard, enough to
wake everybody in the house up.
Cam (53:29):
After it was already closed
and locked Oh, yeah. For the
Kyle (53:31):
So he would get up, go in
there and check it, door's
locked, shut. He's like, whatthe heck? They would do it again
a couple days later. They'd hearit in the middle of the night.
Well, it just started gettingworse, the guy's starting to get
annoyed now, he's like, man, I'mgonna get out here because now
it's slamming two or three, fivetimes a night.
He's like, I'm not getting anysleep. I'm tired at work. Like,
(53:52):
this I'm suffering from this. Can I get my $45 back? Yeah.
He's like, I'm gonna sit in achair right here, and I'm gonna
watch that door. Now he watchesit. Well, the night he sits down
and watches it, guess what?Nothing happens. Right?
So he buys some security camerasoff Amazon or something, and he
sets it up pointing at the door.He says he hears the door slam.
(54:13):
He gets up. He's excited like, yes. I'm gonna see what happens.
Goes to check the camera, likethis SD card was corrupted.
Didn't capture what was on it.He tried different cameras just
like I had with trail cameras.
Matt Harrison (54:26):
I ain't even
found a good one yet.
Kyle (54:27):
They never they never
deliver with promise. Right?
Didn't tell you the amount ofmoney I've sunk in those things.
Cam (54:33):
And he
Kyle (54:33):
can't capture it. And if
he sits out there, it doesn't do
it. So he's set up, and one dayhe just can't take it no more,
and he tells his wife. He'slike, it's the it's the darn
door. I'm telling you.
There's something with thatdoor. I'm getting rid of it. And
he said he took it off thehinges, took it in the backyard,
and he burned the door. His wifewas upset, but she kinda
understood. He said, I'll buyyou any door you want.
I don't care what it costs.
Cam (54:54):
Just not that one.
Kyle (54:55):
So they just went to a
hardware store and got a replica
looking farm door, he put it onthere, and he said they ain't
never had a problem since. So hethinks, for whatever reason,
that door was haunted. And I'mlike, can that even be a thing?
Absolutely. Maybe that's why itwas in the barn.
Matt Harrison (55:13):
Yeah. That's why
I let
Cam (55:15):
it go so cheap. Here's the
other thing. Bucks. I'm like,
please take that door off myhands.
Matt Harrison (55:20):
It's almost like
the door whatever what was
attached to the door had alreadycalled out to her. She had
something in her mind already.
Kyle (55:28):
Yes. See, I did.
Matt Harrison (55:29):
And then there
was a eureka moment once she saw
it, and it was like, we made amatch.
Kyle (55:33):
A haunted
Matt Harrison (55:34):
door. Found a
home.
Cam (55:35):
The door fell.
Matt Harrison (55:36):
Why was that door
in the barn in
Cam (55:37):
the first place?
Kyle (55:38):
Don't know.
Cam (55:38):
It wouldn't stay close.
Matt Harrison (55:39):
Right? Oh, no.
Kyle (55:40):
I don't
Matt Harrison (55:40):
know why.
Kyle (55:41):
No antique in my house.
Cam (55:43):
I mean, do you think No.
About I don't wanna bring
anything
Matt Harrison (55:44):
I don't even know
why you go to night two with the
door in the house.
Cam (55:47):
Right. After the first
night, you're like, wait a
minute.
Kyle (55:49):
Yeah. You think it was in
disbelief? There's there's tons
of
Matt Harrison (55:52):
stories of
objects like that being I mean,
there's museums full of
Kyle (55:56):
Yeah.
Matt Harrison (55:56):
Haunted objects,
right? Yeah. They've attached
you know, a spirit or somethinghas attached itself to it.
Kyle (56:01):
Like a doll or Yeah. Teddy
bear. Ah, okay.
Matt Harrison (56:04):
Wedding dress
That's Lorraine wedding dress. A
whole had a whole museum.
Kyle (56:08):
Yeah. Wouldn't get there.
Cam (56:09):
Uh-uh. I'm not going there.
Matt Harrison (56:10):
Y'all can have
that.
Cam (56:11):
I'm not going there.
Kyle (56:12):
Nope.
Cam (56:12):
I don't want something to
try to tag along. That's what
Kyle and I have always talkedabout. Yeah, we've been I'll go
look for Bigfoot if you want meto, it'll be fun, but I'm never
going ghost hunting becauseghosts can hide anywhere,
Bigfoot can't hide in the backof your truck. Yep. Like, you're
gonna check your back seat andbe like, bro,
Matt Harrison (56:29):
come on.
Cam (56:30):
You can ride up front.
Let's talk. If you dust off.
Yeah, but a ghost, you'd just belike, there's four demons in the
back laughing. Like, don't needthat.
Don't need any of that in mylife. We were talking about you
brought up the giant, likedragging the deer off and all
that stuff. And I wanted to tellyou then because we got one sent
(56:52):
to us that you're gonna enjoy.And it's it's crazy, but it's
not one of those where you'relike, that could have never
happened. This is just a strangething.
I got a message from a guy namedSteve. Steve said when he and
his best bud, Kevin, were backin college together in the
University of Tennessee back in2001, so they decided, I think
(57:13):
it was after their sophomore orjunior year in college, that
they wanted to go do a littlehiking one summer when they were
out on the AT. So they decidedto go down to Georgia and come
up into Tennessee or somewhereright around in that area
because of some fishing. Theywere gonna do fishing. They were
gonna take binoculars.
He said it about a two and ahalf week stroll, I think one of
them's girlfriend was gonnarestock them. It wasn't anything
(57:34):
crazy. They were just like, thisis what we're gonna do. We just
wanna fish and have some fun. Hesaid about five days into the
trip, they'd been fishing andhaving a great time.
He said they would set, findvalleys, find what they could
look, any pastures they couldwatch, anything, get their
glass, and just look for animalsand all that, and that's how
they'd been even chillingaround. He said it was early one
(57:55):
day, early aft evening. He saidwe'd sit down, made a little
meal, found a little spot towatch. He said we're glassing.
We've seen a few things, notmuch.
And he said all of a sudden, seemovement. And he said it's
probably two or 300 yards away. They're glassy. They're like,
what is that? And what Stevesaid he saw was a four to five
(58:21):
foot long caterpillar.
He said this thing come out of,like, a stack of stumps or
whatnot up on. He said it lookedlike it was as big around as a
utility pole and about five Andfoot he said all we did
Kyle (58:38):
he said, I watched it.
Cam (58:39):
It didn't say a word. He
said, we probably only got to
see it for about twenty tothirty seconds. He said, I'm
glassing it. I watch it come outof the because he's I he said, I
guess what I caught was movementcoming up out of this stack of
logs. He said, as it come upout, you could see this is a
tree.
This is the the root end, andthis thing is massive. Crawled
(59:04):
across it, over it, kinda wentup a little hill, he said, and
went down over like a littleridge, and they lost it. And he
said, I didn't six foot long? Hesaid about five four to five
foot, as big around as a utilitypole, caterpillar.
Matt Harrison (59:17):
Oh, caterpillars
already kinda creep me out.
Cam (59:19):
Strange. Right? So he said
he didn't see anything
Kyle (59:21):
Maybe that's what the moth
man starts at. That's how before
there you go. Yeah.
Cam (59:25):
There we go. Maybe that's
what he was doing. Right?
Matt Harrison (59:27):
That'd be a good
Starts
Kyle (59:27):
as a caterpillar.
Matt Harrison (59:28):
They took you to
a matching shark bait.
Kyle (59:30):
A five foot. Five foot.
Cam (59:31):
Yeah. He said he didn't say
anything to his buddy. He just
watched it. Well, he kinda like,oh, and he looks over. His
buddy's watching it.
He's like, did you see that? Andhe was like his buddy's like,
yo, Kevin.
Matt Harrison (59:43):
Like, it yeah.
He's like, what was it?
Cam (59:45):
He goes, well, looked like
a caterpillar. And that's all
Matt Harrison (59:49):
Really, Kevin.
Cam (59:50):
That's all he would say
about it. He said, we continued.
The the rest of the entire hackhad a great time. Never spoke
about it. He said, we neverbrought it up.
Nothing was ever talked aboutagain. He said, it wasn't until
years later.
Matt Harrison (01:00:03):
They talked about
it.
Cam (01:00:04):
Kevin brought it up.
Kyle (01:00:05):
He said
Cam (01:00:05):
that's what reminded me to
send this in, is Kevin brought
up one time. He said we werelike, do
Kyle (01:00:10):
you remember that big
caterpillar we saw?
Cam (01:00:13):
And he's like Steve's like,
how could I forget it? It's a
five foot long caterpillar. It'slike, bro, I'm different than
Yeah.
Matt Harrison (01:00:19):
Doesn't ring a
bell.
Cam (01:00:20):
Yeah. Right. Like, no.
Don't remember that. When did
you say that was?
Think about the cocoon.
Matt Harrison (01:00:24):
Yeah. Right? And
it's just moving around in that
cocoon hanging from a
Kyle (01:00:27):
Oh. Huge
Cam (01:00:29):
Well, my thing is still
like what we talked about with
the snapping turtles. How doesit get that big? Yeah. Where did
it come from? Like, there's noway possible.
What is that? But he was like, you don't see a caterpillar at
300 yards. No. You don't see itat 30 yards and pretend
Matt Harrison (01:00:47):
it's 300. 300
yards.
Cam (01:00:48):
Exactly. So he was like,
what is that thing? As they
start watching bro, I don't haveno idea.
Matt Harrison (01:00:54):
It's all
prehistoric. Right? Like Yes.
There are records of thingsbeing that large
Cam (01:00:58):
back then. Which brings up
a good point like we have
discussed. Is it an overlap? Isit like a an echo from
Matt Harrison (01:01:05):
the past?
Cam (01:01:05):
Is that what that is? And
it's not really there. You're
just caught. A glitch in
Kyle (01:01:09):
the nature. A Yeah. I got
one more, and we'll get out of
here. So in 1900 in Kentucky, there was this bizarre family of
nine that moved into this oldhouse, oblong, strange looking
house, up on a ridge thatoverhung the Kentucky River. And
(01:01:31):
he said the people that moved inthere were odd, and they they
kind of kept to themselves.
Anybody that would go by there, stroll by at night, or walking
by there in a path or something, they never saw any lights on in
the house. They never saw anysmoke coming out of the chimney.
And it sounded oftentimes likesomething large was falling into
the river below, like a bigboulder or something big
(01:01:51):
splashing. Didn't think of it.And they said these people, they
never had any guests over.
They kept to themselves. No oneever hardly saw them. But Every
once in a while, they would goto town, but only separately,
like not all nine would go, oneout of just one. Only one. He
said they were just strange.
He said that they dressed weird. They always wore gloves and long
(01:02:15):
coats. They had unusually pointyand large noses, recessed chins.
They were very pale, and theyhad very high pitched voices.
They would only buy when theycame to town, they would only
buy the bare necessities, butwhat they bought the most of was
grain, and they all did thisevery time.
(01:02:37):
So in this small town back then, rumors started flying, and
people got to wondering what wasgoing on. They noticed that they
had built a small familycemetery back behind the house,
and they'd make tombstones outof, like, you know, just river
rock. Well, there'd be two orthree headstones, and a couple
weeks later, there'd be six. Acouple weeks later, there'd be
(01:02:59):
12. But nobody was missing fromthe family as far as they knew,
and there were no missing peoplearound.
And this went on until thegraveyard swelled to 50
headstones, and a lot of theguys in town started to get
alerted and alarmed, theystarted talking amongst
themselves, and they decidedthat they were going to form a
posse, I guess, and go find outwhat's going on. So 50 men
(01:03:23):
volunteered to go out there, andthey were going to go at night,
and they were going to splitinto two groups. One was going
to approach the house from oneside of the front yard, The
other half was gonna approachthe house from the backyard.
Well, they waited till it was amoon moonlit night so they could
see. And as they were getting tothe house, they almost got
there, and they said nine largebirds took flight from the roof
(01:03:47):
of the house.
And they're like, okay. What wasthat? Anyways, they knocked on
the door, and no one came, andthey kicked the door in, and
they went in there. And theysaid when they got in there,
there was no furniture, therewas no clothes, no tools, none
of the necessities that peoplewould need to live in a house.
He said what there was was allthis debris and what looked like
(01:04:11):
giant straw nests, and they werelike, what is going on?
The next day, they went andexhumed a couple of the graves,
like 15, I think, And what theyfound in those graves was tiny
human skeletons, but they hadtwo extra bones on their
shoulder, and their bones werehollow like bird bones, and
(01:04:36):
their skulls weren't shapedright, and they were like, man,
this is this is demonic. This issomething unnatural. So they
burned the house down, andnobody ever saw them again. And
apparently, this place is stillthere, people go and try to find
it, the remains of what wherewhere it stood, the foundation.
(01:04:57):
And they said even now when yougo there, there always seems to
be, for whatever reason, lots oflarge birds in the trees, and
they seem reluctant to leave.
And so I guess these were likehybrid bird people.
Cam (01:05:11):
What could that have been?
Matt Harrison (01:05:13):
I don't wanna
know.
Cam (01:05:14):
What could that have been?
Matt Harrison (01:05:15):
I'd rather not
know.
Cam (01:05:16):
Jeepers creepers.
Matt Harrison (01:05:17):

saying.

with
Matt Harrison (01:05:19):
a I need to be a
windshield in that town.
Kyle (01:05:21):
Yeah. Apparently, it's in
the folklore. Like, the woman
that said it said her greatgrandmother told her that story.
That is Wow.
Matt Harrison (01:05:25):
That is so crazy.
Kyle (01:05:26):
I'm not sure where in
Kentucky. I bet you could look
it up. Yeah. I think it'sliterally called the Byrd
family. So Mhmm.
Food for thought.
Matt Harrison (01:05:34):
Well, with that
story, I think that puts a bow
on.
