David William is a California-based tax consultant who specializes in the education of income tax liability and avoidance.
And who better to kick it with during tax season than David. We're all sick and tired of being chastised, swindled and coerced into contributing a third of our income to things like chemical skies, clot shots, dual-use military technology, pizza and hot dogs, and our own spiritual enslavement.
But, as David and so many others in the legal and lawful spaces point out, this is a completely contractual arrangement, an opt-in process you're not educated about and an opt-out process that your artificially intelligent TurboTax rep claims doesn't even exist in the first place. It's both the literal and proverbial deal with the devil in disguise at the crossroads and quite possibly the longest legal con in the history of contracts.
MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
Support the show for $7 a month and get access to extended episodes and patron-only bonus content. I try to post 4-5 episodes a month, and would love to increase my output, but the only way I can do that is with your support. It's cheaper than a streaming service and more rewarding too!

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage
Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
