What's it like to be shy - and yet spend much of your life in front of hundreds of thousands of people? Pop star Gary Numan was huge in the 70s and 80s, with hits like 'Cars' and 'Are Friends Electric'. But he always felt like he struggled to fit in, and as a child, was told he probably had Asperger's, a form of autism.
Here, he talks to Dr Sian Williams about his four decades in music - and what it's been like to live with Asperger's and yet spend a lot of time under the spotlight.
Mind Matters with Dr Sian is a podcast from 5 News, hosted by Dr Sian Williams. Producer: Katie Goodman; Executive producer: Silvia Maresca; Guest producer: Jacqui Fuller.
