The final episode of Hard Knocks helped to close out the preseason just one week ahead of kickoff, and we're breaking down everything from the lead up to roster cuts and the emotional moments of making the roster. Montorie Foster's call to his parents after making the team is the heart of the episode, alongside Uso Seumalo's relief at sticking on the ready squad. We get a look behind the scenes at Nick Emmanwori's uncertain recovery timeline, and discuss the new short-shorts rivalry. Plus, our favorite moments (and critiques) from the season of Hard Knocks — the soundtrack, the cinematography, and why Coach Mike's leadership style has been the real star of the show.

Brandan (00:09):
Welcome to the Sea Hawkers Podcast.
I'm your host, Brandan Schulze, andtonight I am joined by my good buddy, Phil
Lydick, as we are recapping and reactingto episode five, the finale of Hard
Knocks for our 2026 Seahawks pre-season.
Phil?

Phil (00:29):
Yes.
I enjoyed it a lot.
Maybe my favorite.
Ooh… I think my, the lastone was the least enjoyable for me.
I tend to not cry on sadness,just-… I get bummed a little bit.
Uh-huh.
There was some, there was some happinessin this one, got me crying a little bit.
You know, there, there, it was a,it was a blessed episode overall.
I think we got- Yeah… and we gotsome insight we'll get to as well.

(00:50):
There's some insight andsome blessed moments.

Brandan (00:53):
Well, I think the, the big thing that everyone was looking forward to
maybe the most intriguing aspect of it,was going to be the, the cut down from
the 90-man roster to the 53-man roster,or the 70-man, Yeah… roster
if you include the ready squad.
Yeah.
And, a- and so that was, goinginto it, I- I've seen how, some

(01:18):
teams handle it based on past seasons, and so h- how our Seahawks would show
out in that part of it was probablywhat I was most interested in in
this episode, and I, I walked awaya little bit disappointed, Phil- Oh
because I- Way disappointed… I wasdisappointed because there were a couple

(01:39):
guys who didn't make the team and thendidn't end up on the practice squad
because they went to other teams- Oh

Phil (01:47):
yeah

… Brandan (01:47):
that I, I, I was hoping to, to just get a little bit
more, and we didn't get anything.

Phil (01:54):
You got a little something from Uso, though, toward the end.
Like, his happiness to make theready squad, you could tell.
He was pleased that hewas climbing his way up.
I, I don't think- Yeah… hewas sure he was gonna get
that offer that they gave him

Brandan (02:06):
Marlin85 in chat saying, "I like the Diggs part.
Now I get why he didn't make the 53."
Yeah.
Yeah, we, we got a littlebit of insight there.
We've got Ryan911, our liveexecutive producer, with a 49.99
Super Chat.
Hey.
That whole series was an awesomeappetizer to finish the off-season.

(02:27):
Now bring on game one.

Phil (02:29):
Yes.

Brandan (02:29):
Yes.
we, we can't wait for game one, and, y- you talked about this being
one of your favorite episodes, Phil.
Besides maybe the, the musicalintroduction, and I saw Lisa in the
chat talking about how, y- Ineed that coordinated song, from
the first bit to bump in my car.
Yeah.
That, that part was excellent.

(02:50):
Did that play into why thiswas your favorite episode?

Phil (02:53):
Okay.
So I was watching on my iPad, thelarge one, and I used my spatial audio
noise-canceling AirPods, and it wasamazing the way they bumped that sound
together and some of the coach phrasesechoing in there, and then the diff-
just the different sounds of camp thatthey sort of turned into a musical.

(03:14):
I know, I know Clinton's awaydoing music himself right now, but
we got to enjoy some good musicwith that, as well as the pumpkins
in and out of a, of the game.
we got some Dolly.
That made me tear up just a little bit.
The Dolly was good.
W-

Brandan (03:26):
when you talk about getting teared up, Phil- Yes… I, I
think that was the, the emotion, the bit that got me, was the
boarding the airplane and the- 9 to

Phil (03:33):
5

Brandan (03:34):
the Dolly Parton, 9 to 5 song in the background.

Phil (03:38):
And then Soundgarden Dusty.
Gotta go back to a Seattlesong at the end there.
Yeah.

Brandan (03:42):
I, I didn't…
I, I liked the, so while we'recritiquing the musical portion of
this, I, I like the s- Smashing Pumpkins going into the game.
I, I didn't like itcoming out of the game- Oh
'cause it, I, I…
It just-

Phil (03:58):
Wasted a chance for another song, didn't it?

Brandan (04:00):
It, well, not so much that.
It just- I don't think the,the emotions of that song fit
with- Oh… There wasn't a

Phil (04:08):
rat in a cage at that point

Brandan (04:09):
yeah… yeah, right.
That's, that's just, it felt off to me.

Phil (04:12):
I was feeling like you on a lot of the other episodes, where I'm
like, "They coulda done this better."
Like, they end, they, they didn'thit Given to Fly at the peak point
of the song by having us do somethingawesome in the air, like a JSN
catch or, you know, there's a few…
I've been having production issues, so Ifeel where you're coming from with this
Brandan, where I've been a little bit

Brandan (04:31):
picky on- It's, it's very nitpicky though.
Yes.
I, I feel it, it was greatoverall because, it, if we
had only had preseason games- toget us through this preseason.
Ugh.
I, it w- it would'vebeen totally different.
So this- Yes… We'reblessed… this was a little bit
more entertaining, I think, tohave this along with the preseason.

(04:54):
we got Brian Kennicott in chatwhen John's reaction to Cody not
being aggressive and high pointingthe ball, that matched my frustration.
You know, Co- Go get it, Cody.
Go get it Go get it, Cody.
And then he ends up not making the roster, but we don't even really get to see…
I mean, that was the, the one bitof Cody, that I, I think that

(05:15):
that's all we got through this.
Yeah.
And I, I thought it was interestingbecause the, the way that this kicked off
Phil, w- we had Uso Seumalo to start and Ithought it was similar to the Jake Bobo
bit, setting us up to be a little bitmore emotional in a, in a sad way, right?
But they did.
Because him not making the 53.
Yeah.
And, you know, it, because he was, they were asking him, "What do

(05:38):
you need to do to make the team?"
Yeah.
And, you know, him trying to work throughthat answer and, Marlon85 saying
the, hot, Hard Knocks didn'texpect Uso and Foster making the team.
I, I think that it maybe changedtheir approach though of how they
they considered making the team basedon how John Schneider and, and Mike

(06:03):
McDonald consider making the teambecause at the end, yeah, it started
out with Uso, i- i- setting you upmaybe for some disappointment- Yeah
but at the end it was hyping him up like,"Hey, you, you know, you're part of this."
Yeah.
"And yeah, you're not on the53, but you're part of the 70."

Phil (06:18):
And they didn't even, you're not on the 53.
It's like he made it.
He made it to the next step.
The, it was, they did show someguys maybe we'll get you back.
They had some of those sad-ishconversations we like- And

Brandan (06:28):
the only one I saw was the one running back, Oh
that they had

Phil (06:32):
in the office And he was real positive.
Yeah.

Brandan (06:33):
Yeah.

Phil (06:34):
There was some other guys.
There's a few other guys.
One guy was really bummed.
It was, I think it wasour rookie receiver maybe.

Brandan (06:41):
Oh yeah, Ricky White.
y- He w- wasn't it Ricky White- No,no… that, he, 'cause he was talking
about how he wanted to be here in Seattle?

Phil (06:49):
Yeah, no he, and I think he plans to come back.
It was
'Brandan: Cause he made the-… maybe someone-… the fif- or he made
the- Yeah… the greatest squad

… Phil (06:54):
maybe someone in chat.
It's that-

Brandan (06:56):
Okay

… Phil (06:57):
84, right?
No, 8-.

Brandan (06:59):
Hmm.
Henderson?

Phil (07:01):
Was it Henderson?
I think it was 80- Wasn't Henderson 84?
He was sitting there and how you feeling?
Oh man, he was, he was pretty downknowing he was bringing the playbook in.
Yeah.
And I think, and then Uso you're right, when they said the, they either
were asking him specifically what doyou gotta do to earn a roster spot?
And he's going through all that- Andthen you're thinking they're gonna
show just a bummed out moment, 'causewe all know he's missed the 53.

(07:23):
But it was like he was so relieved.
'Cause I think for him, he knewmaking the 53 wasn't really where…
I think he was self enough, aware enoughto know that's not where he was at.
Yeah.
Him getting on the 70, thatwas his accomplishment.
And, I know that as a coach when wehave different teams and who gets varsity
and who gets JV and how all that goes, and people are kind of slotting themselves

(07:46):
where they're on the border, and just kindof the body language, "I made it to what
my goal was, to what I had a chance at."
And there was just a feeling of relief, Ithink, for Moso, Uso, that it's not over.
His journey continues.

Brandan (07:58):
Yeah.
Yeah, so that was cool.
we got to see the, them ha-br- bringing in a TikTok influencer
to make some fried chicken.
We got to see- Yeah… Dino's pub.
How hungry were you after watchingthe fried chicken bit?

Phil (08:11):
Well, I had dinner right before.
Okay.
And I didn't know if it wasgluten-free, so I didn't know if
it was gonna make me sick-… eventhough it would be very tasty.
But I'm guessing it was tasty, but thankfully I'd, I'd just
eaten right before I watched it.

Brandan (08:23):
Yeah.
If, if Derek Hall, isn'ta- any indication that the
that was some good chicken.

Phil (08:29):
Okay.
Here's something thatI had for you, Brandan.

Brandan (08:31):
Yeah.

Phil (08:32):
This is the fifth episode.
Did you get the feeling on this onethat the players are kind of looking
for the camera a little bit more by now?
They're kind ofcomfortable and used to it?
I had a little bit of awe're-watching-The-Office
moment here and there.
Even the setting with the three, with John and his two other- guys
from the GM room talking aboutthe players, "These are good guys."

(08:55):
And it's almost like- Oh, yeah… it'salmost like the c- camera is
the fourth person at the table.
They're talking to each other, andthey're looking over at the camera, and
there was some of those FaceTime moments.
I, I felt like people were playingto it just a little bit more a-
as we, as the season went along.

Brandan (09:10):
Yeah, I could see that a little bit.
Yeah, I think that was John Schneiderwith m- I think it was Mo Kelly-
Yeah… and Ivan, oh, I don't haveIvan's last name on the tip of my tongue.
But, because that was goingto be, I think, the group.
'Cause y- you saw a little bit howthey did it where Mo Kelly was in a
room with a guy, kind of telling himabout what the team wanted from him

(09:31):
and then they would go in and, youknow, talk to the coach, and then maybe
they would end up with John Schneider.
It didn't take you through allof them, but you, you saw, like
different little components of guysmeeting with, different portions.
And it, and it looked to me likethey would cycle through and
you know, have, have the meetingof what's happening, and then
you go into the meeting to kindof, yeah, close it out.

(09:55):
And I'm laughing because the snailin, in Chad saying Ivan Drago.
No, I- But, but I don't think, Idon't think that's Ivan's last name.
Not the, not the Russianfrom Rocky, from Rocky IV.

Phil (10:08):
And then I saw, and as far as some things about the season, I
saw Price with the-- They were doingones versus ones, and then Coach
Mike called up, "Now for the twos,"and the twos went against the twos.
Yeah.
I saw Price over and over in therewith the ones, so I've got kind of- Ooh
good confidence.
E- especially Price ended upon my fantasy team, which I'm
sure everybody cares about.
But-… I think a fantasy tip outthere is Price is playing with the ones.

(10:30):
I think he's gonna be,getting quite a few touches.

Brandan (10:33):
Yeah.
Well, and the fact that they ended upprotecting him and not putting him out
there in any of the preseason games,it, it does feel like an indication.
o- the other takeaway that I hadin my notes, though, from the bar
with Mo Kelly and John Schneider wasthe, the comment of no jerks this year.

Phil (10:52):
Oh, yeah.
Right?
This year.
I wonder who the last year jerk was.

Brandan (10:57):
Yeah.

Phil (10:58):
I, I, I, I don't know.
But I, I- Was Cooper Kupp kind of a subtleco-star to some of this whole season?
And then he's even, like, leading a room, and he's even the guy on the sideline
during the game who's cracking back atCoach Mike on, like, disagreeing with him
and putting him in place a little bit.
He, he's kind of, got a lot ofconfidence in what he's allowed to

(11:21):
be a part of and say at this point.

Brandan (11:23):
Yeah.
It's, it's been interestingto watch the way that they've
they've gotten him involved.
It's also…
E- every time I see his, his, wardrobe- Sure, yeah… I'm
always, amazed that a personwould, wear a shirt that way.

Phil (11:41):
I think he just wants everybody to know how sleek and fit he is, I guess.
I…
It, it, it hearkensback to, like, the '80s.
Like, when I was a little boy inthe '80s, the teenagers, the big
guys wore those all the time.
Yeah.
Like, I'd go try to hang on thebasketball court with the older guys.
They're all wearing thoseshirts, and I'm like, "I couldn't
possibly wear that thing."
I-

Brandan (11:58):
it's not enough to wear, like, one of those, what are they called?
A, A-neck, T-shirts.
No, it has to be…
Like, there, there has to be armpit goescompletely down almost to the waist.

Phil (12:10):
It's like white men can't jump, and they're, you know.

Brandan (12:12):
Yes.
Very white men can't jump.
Yeah.
Wow.
n- next up, we, we got to hearsome of the Nick Emmanwori progress, so.

Phil (12:21):
Yes.
That was another reveal, andit wasn't totally positive.
Right, Brandan?

Brandan (12:29):
It, it wasn't real… Well, 'cause I don't know.
You, you got some positivity.
I felt like in the past couple dayswe've gotten some more positivity- Yeah
… just based on the feeling where outwhere Nick Emmanwori is in his recovery.
And I guess you have to remembertoo that this goes back before

(12:50):
maybe some of those parts, so himtalking about some of the soreness
that he's trying to deal with and-

Phil (12:57):
And Mike's like, "Soreness is good, right?"
Right.
He's, like, hoping, wish casting.
You get the feeling just howimportant he is to Mike, and
they really want him to be ready.
But from Nick, it soundspretty day to day.
Like, he's uncertain.
He wants to be where everybody wants himto be, but he really is uncertain, right?

Brandan (13:17):
It seems that way.

Phil (13:18):
Yeah.

Brandan (13:19):
And but they also, they, they did the thing of showing where
he was at the beginning of- Yeah
Hard Knocks.
He was in an, in a cast and ridingaround on a scooter, and here he is at-

Phil (13:36):
Yeah

… Brandan (13:36):
just a few weeks later out there running full speed and
talking about how, you know, he'sclose but, but maybe not quite ready.
And-

Phil (13:46):
Mm-hmm… with- I wouldn't disagree.
He's come a long way.
I'm just-

Brandan (13:50):
Right.
And so with 10 days left, I, I mean,I'm not holding out hope, Phil.

Phil (13:55):
You're, you're not holding out hope, or you're not-

Brandan (13:57):
Or I am holding out hope.

Phil (13:59):
Yeah.
I'm not

Brandan (13:59):
I'm

Phil (13:59):
not-

Brandan (13:59):
You're, you're

Phil (13:59):
not discounting the chance.
Yeah.
You're saying there's a chance.

Brandan (14:02):
I'm, I'm thinking there's a chance because he
the dude has come a long way.
And- Right… Mike wantshim to be out there.
It sounds like he wants to be out there, but also it does show you too that- Mike
doesn't seem like a guy who, despitehow much he does want him out there, he

(14:23):
he's not a coach who's pushing him tobe out there unless he truly is ready.

Phil (14:28):
I think that's true.
I think Mike might be a little morewilling than Pete, but I'm not sure.
I, I feel like Mike s- wants himto believe in feeling better and
so, Mike doesn't tell usas much, obviously, a- as Pete.
We kinda got the sense for Pete, you know, if it was legit or not.
But-

Brandan (14:45):
Mm-hmm

… Phil (14:45):
Mike keeps it to himself some.
But I do, I got the feeling likehe's been different times saying
"We really need him to play.
We're hoping he can play."
And even like I think he wantsEmmanwori to believe that he can play.
So yeah, I don't think he's gonnaendanger him, but maybe his concern is
that Nick won't know when he's readyor, Nick will be too careful.

(15:07):
So I got that s- I got that sideof it a little bit maybe when he's
like, "Oh, soreness is a good thing.
I've got leg soreness.
You got that soreness," right?

Brandan (15:16):
Well, that's, i- that's probably just that athlete mentality, right?
Trying to, put him in that space.
But, one other question I came awaywith, Phil, watching this episode, is
Jake Peetz our offensive coordinator?

Phil (15:32):
okay, so I like Jake Peetz in this one.
He's pretty classy.
Yeah.

Brandan (15:35):
He was a big part of it.
Any time they focused on theoffense it was Jake Peetz.

Phil (15:39):
Yeah.
I'm almost convinced, I'm almost convincedthat our offensive coordinator has either
by himself or the team just been protected'cause maybe everything that he's doing
everything Fleury's doing is top secret.
Like, you only get to see him sittingthere, so he's designing the, the
game and maybe his concern is, "I'llslip up and give something away
that's a tip-off," and that's likethe one thing that they can't allow.

(16:03):
Or he's just like, "Iwanna get used to the team.
I wanna get used to knowing the guys.
I don't need that distraction.
Can you please keep that away?"
And they're like, "Okay, we'reputting him off the table."
I didn't see Jake Peetz calling plays, but I love the stuff he was- No

Brandan (16:16):
but he was working with Milroe.

Phil (16:17):
Yeah.

Brandan (16:18):
Talking about facing the Chiefs once and- Yeah… working
through that part leading into the game.
You saw him on the sidelines with Milroeafter after Jalen blows up and is-

Phil (16:30):
Yeah

Brandan (16:30):
that was good
getting frustrated during the game.

Phil (16:33):
That was good.
I could relate to that a little bit.
I got…
I'm, that was a little Geno-ish,how he just went off and Peetz had
to go over and say, "Yeah, okay.
They needed to see you mad.
That kind of makes sense, but now…"
He's giving him some leader tips.
"Now you gotta, you know, bring it down."
And he's…
I, I like that.
I, I liked a lot about Peetz.
It wasn't play calling to me, but itwas- No… real quarterback coaching.

(16:54):
It was real mentality coaching.
Kind of reminding the quarterback thatyou're the leader on the field, so you're
gonna set the attitude as to how theteam is gonna go into the next play.
You can't just lose it whenit's time to get back out there.
Right there, that was okay.
Everybody take this serious.
When you're out there, though, you need to have the right

(17:14):
kind of mentality as a leader.
I like that.

Brandan (17:16):
Yeah.
My, my main point is when it came tooffense- Yeah… the guy who we've seen
have the most camera time, that lookedthe most offensive coordinator-ish, has
been Peetz because, the other guyshave been in, within their own rooms.
Receiver coach.
You know, the running backroom- Yeah… receiver room.
but, but we actually got sidelinetime with the offense, and it, it was only
with Peetz, not with, Brian Fleury, who is our true offensive coordinator.

(17:41):
Whistle Jacket in chat, Lisa, saying,"If there is one regret for me, I would
have loved to see more Adin Durty."
I agree.
I, I think that would've been good too.
But I was also worried, Lisa, thatwhen we got to see Adin Durty early
on in, I, I think it was episode oneor two, I was like, "Oh, no, no, no.
I've seen enough."
"I don't want other people tosee this too, and then poach

(18:01):
him from us come next season."

Phil (18:02):
Yes, 'cause that's kind of where they're gonna get their ideas of
they're just looking for anything ofwho to look for when they get sick of
their coach halfway through the season.
So his name would come in, especiallywith his cool accent and- Uh-huh… yes
you can tell he's worthy of respect.
One more important thingabout, Jalen Milroe.
Did you notice the table where he was, there was a ceramic item on the table.

(18:23):
Did you happen to notice that,Brandan, when he was eating?

Brandan (18:26):
Ceramic item on the table.
No.
Well, last episode I remember Drew Lockhad, like, a, a poop emoji coffee cup.
Yes.

Phil (18:34):
It was a poo emoji in the middle of the table.
What was, what was up with the poo emoji?
Does anybody know?

Brandan (18:40):
I think it was Drew Lock's coffee cup.
Oh.
Unless it's Milroe's, because I, I…
Well, I couldn't tell because last week'sshow it stood out to me, and, and it
was kind of in between Lock and Milroe.
And I don't know, I, maybe I just assumedthat because of Lock's personality that it
was- Yeah… it was probably Drew Lock's.

Phil (18:59):
Well, it, nobody was drinking coffee this time.
It was in the middle.
I was wondering what it was.
Oh, okay.
I thought maybe it had, like, sugar in it or, like-…
'cause I didn't see a coffee cup.
it's a very- Interesting… important thing to me.
Yeah.
I've never seen a ceramic poo emoji.

Brandan (19:15):
Marlon85 in chat, "Did anyone sign Dejon Love?"
I think he's been assigned to the, California Penal League based on the
orange jumpsuit that, I saw, Marlon.
But, yeah, it, one guy that we sawthat was with the Seahawks, Trevon Diggs.

Phil (19:33):
Yeah.

Brandan (19:33):
And he was rocking the short shorts at practice.
D Hall not happy- Yeah… withDiggs stepping on his turf.

Phil (19:41):
D Hall, D Hall seems to play to the cam a little bit
and I'm not really sure that I…
I think some of histeammates follow his humor.
I'm trying to get it a little bit, butat first I'm like, "That's kinda rude
to do to a p- to, do to a brand newpro bowler that's just joined the team."
But I think he assumed that,Trey got it, or he's just really very
territorial about being the guy withthe one-and-a-half inch, shorts.

(20:03):
And they did stand out again.
Like, from the back I'm like,"That's a little bit much, dude.
That's a little bit much."
It, it looks worse on him, I think, thanit did on Diggs who's a little more thin.

Brandan (20:14):
I, I, I didn't wanna go there as far as critiquing, where
how the, how the shorts looked.
It was more so that, D Hall feltlike it was his turf- Yeah… as
as being the short shorts guy.

Phil (20:26):
Yeah.
I, I don't…
And Diggs didn't care what D Hall said.
What's the I don't carewhere you went to school?

Brandan (20:32):
Oh, that was, 'cause D Hall was talking with Diggs about
he was from Auburn- Auburn, yeah
and, he was Alabama.

Phil (20:40):
That's

Brandan (20:41):
right.
And, yeah- They talked about Auburn… they were, so they were going back and
forth a little about being SEC guys.

Phil (20:45):
And then Diggs I think gave us a little bit of
a tip and hi- in his honesty.
They were asking him when he'd beready, and he said it'd be a couple
weeks, and I think, I think he meant it.
And- Yeah… it's kinda coolthat they let us in to hear that.
So I imagine we could anticipate himgetting out there and, battling
for some snaps maybe right away.

Brandan (21:05):
Yeah, and that's what Marlon said early on in the show too is that
that it was that moment that made you,at least it helped you understand why
a guy like Diggs who goes out, getsan interception, and you're thinking
"Well, this guy should be on the 53.
He shouldn't be h- having to waitand go to the practice squad."
But it, it was that moment there thatkind of let you in and, and you saw

(21:28):
yeah, that, that made a lot more sensethen that he wasn't quite ready and
they were gonna use that opportunity.
Might playbook him.
Yeah.
Yeah.
With, with the playbook.
yeah.
And some of the conditioning aspectsof it too, getting him ready for
the start of the season Go Hawksto Sly Maverick in the chat.

(21:48):
MyCoolVideos8719,D-Hall's shorts kept getting
shorter as the show progressed.
Thankfully it's only five weeks.

Phil (21:57):
There

Brandan (21:57):
was nothing left to- And Daisy Dukes, in a few more weeks

Phil (22:01):
I felt like Daisy Dukes may- Daisy Duke maybe showed less and, but
maybe John Sneid- Schneider was gonna…
We got our own John Schneider.
He was gonna come out there and hang outwith, Daisy Duke D-Hall, but

Brandan (22:13):
it's getting gross.
Well, speaking of John Schneider,we got to see some of the
ownership change behind the scenes.
Yeah.
Not, not a ton, but we got tosee Schneider and Coach Mike
watching it live on the iPad as, we got shots of the- Yeah
owners meeting.
I, I thought maybe, maybe we'dget a little bit more of that.

Phil (22:30):
I th- he's like, "We'll keep it simple and, we'll
just go win another Super Bowl."
The first time I saw it, I think it wason X earlier today and I thought- Yeah
… John's like, "Yeah, we like this."
But I think Jo- this time Iwatched it and I got it better.
John's looking at Mike like, "Oh, simple.
Yeah, we'll just win another Super Bowl."
Hey, let's just, let's justgo win another Super Bowl.
It only took me, it only took melike 12 years to do this thing again

Brandan (22:52):
I thought that was a, a, yeah, a, at least a
fun moment between those guys.
TheCharlieTheUnicorn in chat,"Did they show Foster key moments?"
Yeah, we got to see, got tosee him getting hyped up by Coach
Mike during the, showing some ofthe film from the Titans game.
We got to see a few moments of Fosterthrough the Chiefs game and then you

(23:14):
got the really cool moment of MontorieFoster out on the dock at the- Yeah
… VMAC hanging out by the water- Yeah
calling his mom and dad notknowing whether or not they
would pick up the phone.
'cause apparently they werewaiting until the final ring to answer
the phone but, then you got thatconversation which that conversation
really was set up by a lot of thesocial media that they put out ahead

(23:38):
of the, ahead of the episode even.
That was, that was the moment thatI think they were using to really
tease this- Mm… season finale.

Phil (23:47):
And the other episodes leading in.
Like, we kinda got to know theparents, we kinda got to know him.
I was waiting for Sitting on theDock of the Bay to play in the
background as, he's there, asyou said, talking to his mom and dad.
He starts talking to his dad.
I literally, I, I hate to admit this,I was actually tearing up and I didn't
even know that I was gonna care that much.
Those positive things that you can sharewith important people that obviously

(24:10):
you're not just playing to the camera thathave obviously helped you and, and given
you the strength that you needed throughsome encouraging words and it happened.
Like, they already knew it happened 'causethey're like, "Congratulations," when they
answered so it was just waiting for thecall to share in it but him saying that to
his dad and, and that was, that was heavy.
Like, that was pulling thejuice out of my eyes for sure.

Brandan (24:34):
Marlin in chat saying, "Why would he join the
practice squad when there are teamsthat would sign him to the 53?"
And I think Marlin's talkingabout Trevon Diggs here.
And I think that really goes to thatcommunication piece between John
Schneider, the head coach, the player.
y- there, there may very well beother teams who would sign him to the 53.

(24:56):
The, the thing is when you're a veteranand, and have so many years in the
league, you can choose where you wanna go.
So if- Yeah… if Diggs feels like,"This is the place where I feel that I
can, have the best opportunity movingforward, being with a Super Bowl team
being on a, a defense like Coach Mike.
Yeah, I, I might end up playingfor, you know, more of a veteran

(25:16):
minimum contract this year."
But if I see this as i- we'veseen guys go to, you know, like
a Baltimore Ravens defense- Yeah
and, have a great season as aveteran to where then the next year
they, they get a pretty significantpay bump because they, they showed
up, they had the performance.
And for a guy like Diggs, that couldbe the type of play for him to where

(25:40):
he sees- Mm-hmm… "Yeah, I, Icould be on a 53 on another team."
Yeah.
"But to be in this defense, tohave those type of opportunities to
where you see maybe on the depth chart, maybe there's a, a, a way you see a
significant amount of playing time, likethe opportunity is there," and, that
could be where the, that appeal is, Phil.

Phil (26:02):
Those are some good thoughts, and this is a great
question, and I'm just gonna say theuncomfortable thing right now, Brandan.
John and Mike have told himthere's a potential opening, 'cause
John's been scrambling, lookingeverywhere, trying to find a corner.
Th- that's been quite clear.
If he gets that third corner spot, that's up to 70%-ish of the snaps.

(26:23):
It's not a nothing role.
It's as, it's a bigger role thana D line, than a rotational D
line as far as number of snaps.
It's not like he won't get picksif he gets that third cornerback.
And also, he knows he's notready to play right now.
He's looked at this team.
He can see himself.
He's, he's a self-awareguy that understands.
Every conversation I've seen withhim about not being ready last

(26:44):
year, about how ready he is rightnow, this guy's a very self-aware.
He knows what he can, what he can't do.
He sees a role for here, and hethinks he has a legit shot to be
a true difference maker here, andas all the things you just said.
If he pulls off what he sees himselfbeing able to pull off, he will get paid
well, and he'll have a lot of fun here.
Why would he go elsewhere whenhe can see himself as a fit?

Brandan (27:09):
Another cool moment that I had in my notes, you had, Big Cat Leonard
Williams getting his, extension.
Yeah.
And the, the cool moment with himand Julian Love sitting on the bench
talking about how much time the, th-these two guys- Yeah… have really
worked together over the years.
How, how by the end of it, withLove having two years left on his deal

(27:32):
with, Leo getting a, a three-yearextension, and, and Love saying
how that they, "Maybe we need to buy aboat together or an ice cream truck."
Yeah.

Phil (27:42):
That was funny.
I think they were tryingto be natural there, Ben.
And I think they're like, "Okay,we got the, well, we got the
Hard Knocks camera right here.
We've been used to it.
We're trying to talk in a friendly moment.
What are some things we cansay and kind of include them?"
But it was, it was good.
They did the best theycould, and I enjoyed it.
But I…
You couldn't help s- have D Hallhas to come run over and go, "Oh

(28:04):
there's my favorite camera again.
I'm gonna get involvedin this, in this story."
But you gotta love those guys.
I mean, even in their awkwardness oftrying to not play to the camera but
be who they were, these are good dudes.
I, I, I…
Julian Love, Ernest, Julian Love,Ernest Jones, but especially Leo
Williams and, and Love, these leadersin just the way they handle themselves

(28:28):
they really care about each other.
They're not self-important.
They're really not.
They're having a great time, and they'reinviting us in to enjoy their fun life.
how can you not cheer forthat and be happy for them?

Brandan (28:40):
And how can you not be amazed by Love's ability to dribble
a football like a basketball- That'salso true… behind his legs?

Phil (28:47):
Yeah, I'm just talking…
I was, I was fascinated by that as well.
I'm like, "Can that be done on turf, dribbling back and forth the football?"

Brandan (28:59):
Marlin85 in chat, "Feels like we missed out on the coaches
going over the roster, but I likeMike showing great leadership."
Yeah, I, I would've likedto see a little bit-

Phil (29:09):
That

Brandan (29:10):
wasn't gonna happen… they coulda made an entire episode just
out of going over the roster andhaving those conversations and, yeah
the, a big part of that, 'cause-

Phil (29:21):
Some of that honesty just can't hap- if you're talking about the coaches
discussing who's gonna make it or not,I don't know that they could have that
much honesty in front of everyone, right?

Brandan (29:30):
No, but I, I can understand wanting to hear a little bit more
of if you can sanitize it in someway- Mm-hmm… and talk, really
break down, you know, where those…
Kinda like how we do on the show, right?
That, that, you know that thoseconversations must happen about how guys
are right on the bubble of the- Yeah

(29:50):
53 and the practice squad or, you know, even, like I said, I go back to the
Cody White thing, how a guy like CodyWhite that had spent so many years
with the franchise and here was thisopportunity with Jake Bobo going down
to probably be, you know, possiblybe that- Yeah… wide receiver five.
And then Montorie Foster comes along, takes that, that number five spot.

(30:15):
And sure, I, I suppose they werethinking, "Well, Cody White's been around.
It, it…
we'll, we'll have this spot open for himon the practice squad," and then…
or ready squad.
A- and then-

Phil (30:25):
Kubiak says no

… Brandan (30:25):
and then Kubiak says, "Hey, we want you to come down here," and
it, and it wasn't even come down hereand be on the 53 on- Yeah, that's-
on a Raiders roster which youlook at the six wide receivers
that they kept and you go, "What?
You couldn't have had CodyWhite th- as one of those six?"
Yeah, I don't understand that.
I don't understand that.
But I'm sure Cody looked at that andsaid, "I, I can- I'll be there… I- I'll
start on the practice squad, but I won'tbe on the practice squad in Las Veg."

Phil (30:51):
Yeah.
And unfortunately they kept the…
Am I still on?
Can you hear me?

Brandan (30:56):
Oh, yeah.
I got you.

Phil (30:57):
Yeah, it froze out for a second.
I wasn't sure.
And fortunately they kept all theHorton stuff out, but I get the
feeling just by how they handledsome of the rostering that we're
expecting to see Horton really soon.

Brandan (31:09):
Yeah.
It's…
I, I h- hopefully game one.
But, we didn't get muchfrom Coach Mike when he said
out for a time either, so

Phil (31:19):
If not, I mean, Foster gets open.
I, I think he can legit…
Foster can go out there and play in NF-Yeah… get some NFL snaps as a receiver.
He gets open like Baldwin got open.
Like, if you get open you canmake a difference in the NFL

Brandan (31:32):
The Charlie the Unicorn asks, "Which coach during Hard
Knocks made the biggest impression?"
Running back coach?
Cooper Cupp.
I, I, Thomas Hammock is the runningback coach, and, or F-bomb
Hammock as, as you may know him.
yeah, th- there was… I reallylike the wide receivers coach.

(31:52):
But yeah, Coach Cupp.
That's probably the right answer.

Phil (31:56):
Pete's, Pete's was pretty good on th- this episode, I give it to Pete.
Overall, yeah, it's the wide receivercoach has been good throughout.
What did they say?
Oh.

Brandan (32:05):
Oh, Montez gets open.

Phil (32:07):
Yeah.

Brandan (32:08):
And I think that that was one of the things, even highlighting
it through some of the shots, hisroute running ability- Yes… I
I think is really what made his, earned him a spot on this roster.

Phil (32:19):
I mean, Baldwin was undrafted, and you just always got open.
Well, that guy's gottamake the team, you know?
If he… And, and Sherman would say he'sjust the hardest guy to, to keep a handle
on 'cause he's shifty off the line, and we watched him do it over and over.
And when a guy gets open, that'ssuch a powerful skill, and Foster
is a unique guy in that way.

(32:40):
So I, I think he might make a differencesooner than later if he gets an opening.

Brandan (32:45):
Marlin85 in chat saying, "Why go, pick Busso over
Eastern, a late draft pick?"
well, both guys ended upmaking- Yeah… the 70-man roster.
They both did.
Yep.
So I don't know.
I, and I think whether or not,Marlin's talking about, you know, why
show, highlight and feature one- Oh
over the other, then itwould be, personality-

Phil (33:08):
Yeah

… Brandan (33:09):
related

Phil (33:10):
I think.
The show just found him endearing.
They just, they felt like he wasa fun guy to interview throughout.
Yeah.
And he's a gentle soulthat was easy to cheer for.

Brandan (33:18):
Yeah.
And, yeah, so I, I was…
And it really worked out to him winningthe talent show, then him making it at
the end, and him getting coached up bythe D-line coach in the, he kind of
had that one-on-one moment at the end, where they're talking about what he can be
as a, a lineman and, and so yeah, gettingto see his journey through all of that.

(33:41):
and, and I think that's justkind of what they tend to do with
Hard Knocks is feature some of those-Yeah… down the roster type guys
who have the types of personalitiesthat you really can root for.

Phil (33:52):
Oh, and the, you didn't mention, Brad, but early on in the
show, Mike was talking about howthis was like the roughest week of
the off-season or of camp of summer, and he was hoping to see- Yeah, last

Brandan (34:01):
week was the first week things didn't go our way.

Phil (34:04):
Yeah.
So everything was just coming uproses, and then all that happened.
Then Aaron Donald gets signed.
No, I was kidding.
But, there, there was a few thingsthat took place, and with losing Bobo
obviously was crushing, and, all thethings that he does and how much he means
to everybody, obviously that was painful.
The game, yeah, was kind of painful.

(34:25):
And then you're going into thisgame, and they're setting it up.
They did show probably the mostfootage of any game this time
but Mike was still hating it.
He's like, "This is the worstgame I've ever seen, like, ever."
At any level.
At
any level.
Yeah.
I didn't think- See, that was

Brandan (34:41):
where Cup pushed back.
He's like, "Well, at any level?"

Phil (34:45):
I didn't think that when I watched it, but it, I mean
the second half maybe he was rightand, and then they kicked it.
Well

Brandan (34:51):
the first half.
I, it, that was a commentary-

Phil (34:53):
Yeah

… Brandan (34:54):
through the montage of the first half, and then you saw them
come out in the second half, and thenthat was the, the touchdown drive
that you got to see from Milroe.

Phil (35:03):
Yeah.

Brandan (35:03):
I, it was- And the

Phil (35:04):
guy that is gonna, the guy that

Brandan (35:05):
is gonna get a- It was interesting they didn't
feature the missed kicks film.
Yes.
I thought about that for you.

Phil (35:10):
That's what I'm saying.
And the guy that is getting paid a lot andactually is going to matter, unfortunately
he's gonna matter a ton during theseason, they showed nothing of that.
They're complaining about the game, but the worst thing, like a, the most
ominous thing about the game is thatwe have to count on this guy who's
struggling right now, who better getit fixed or we're actually in trouble.

(35:31):
Nothing else that happened in thatgame really matters except for that

Brandan (35:36):
Do you think though that there wasn't any footage there to show?
Because that's how- Oh, there was

Phil (35:42):
footage

… Brandan (35:43):
how, but I mean in terms of reacting to the missed kicks.

Phil (35:46):
Yes.
Milroe went down and the guy messedup the catch, and he's upset with him
like dropping F-bombs and going off.
Sure.
They show that.
Well
but- But then Milroe leads the team down to win the
game and the kicker misses it.
You get no body language on the sideline.
You get no Milroe.
You get no nothing.
You, you don't even seewhether the kick happened.

(36:07):
Somebody, like John Schneider, said, "We're not showing that."
Right?
I think it- It had to be

… Brandan (36:12):
yeah.
there, there hadto be something, right?
Yeah.
Mychal video saying, "Don'twant the kicker distracted."

Phil (36:18):
Yeah.

Brandan (36:18):
Charlie the Unicorn, "Don't tell me you want Moody to kick."

Phil (36:21):
Yeah, I, I'm not saying what the solution is.
I'm saying that needs to get fixed, andI'm hoping it's Myers figures it out.
This is supposed to beeven-year Myers, right?

Brandan (36:30):
Yeah.
Well, it's even-yearregular season Myers, and-

Phil (36:34):
Okay

… Brandan (36:34):
you know.
We're not there yet.
That's

Phil (36:37):
that's all we need.
That's all.

Brandan (36:38):
the Snail saying, "I can't wait for the season to start and the
Rams to fall flat on their stupid faces."
The Snail, "I can't wait for theseason to start and for us to kick the
Patriots' butt in back to back games."

Phil (36:50):
Yes.
Yeah.
Let's keep the winning streakgoing, and part of it will be
back to back against the Pats.
And, and just could keep itgoing all the way, just, just
keep the winning streak going.
But it starts one game at a time, right?
And, and I definitely heard a lotof, best foot forward stuff this
week, so maybe- Yeah… maybe we'llput our best foot forward by winning

(37:10):
week one if we have to use somethingthat people say over and over.

Brandan (37:14):
Then, I suppose we should probably give our critiques
of the final bits of this episode.
And

Phil (37:24):
Okay

… Brandan (37:24):
what did you like, what didn't you like when it came to them focusing
on Coach Mike at the end of, of theepisode, and a little bit of focus on
Sam Darnold at the end of the episode?

Phil (37:37):
Well, they kind of finished up hyping up Coach Mike in a way
that I thought was reasonable, andmost every time- What kind of head

Brandan (37:44):
coach is this?

Phil (37:45):
Yes.

Brandan (37:45):
He's the winning kind.

Phil (37:47):
Yeah.
Maybe that was corny.
But every time they put Mike on therehe couldn't help but just look good.
But thankfully nobody can have him.
We have him signed, so I'mnot worried about that.
So I guess I'm glad that CoachMike gets just a constant…
He's like the star and hero ofHard Knocks because he's not going
anywhere, and so that's awesome.

(38:08):
what were you talkingabout with, Sam at the

Brandan (38:12):
end?
Closing with Sam Darnold running, like, to the end of the practice
field and then running back.
That just, that seemedlike a weird- It was

Phil (38:19):
unremarkable.
Yeah

Brandan (38:20):
It seemed like a weird way to go and to close out.
I thought it was weird, too.
Like, with all the, with all thecool footage that they had- I know
at the start, it's like, "Oh, well, here's, here's Sam running a lap.
The end."

Phil (38:30):
Yeah.
I thought that wasn't veryremarkable and it was not a
great ending to a cool season.
I have to agree with you there.

Brandan (38:38):
Yeah.

Phil (38:39):
And I thought when it came to humor, this one probably had the least.
Like, D.
Hall tried.
Why are we not getting more Spoon?
he should have beenthe star of this season.
Yeah.
Every time they show him Ienjoy myself, and they just…
Again, I was, I was a little bit bummedwhen they showed him for a second.
I'm like, man, he shouldbe on here so much more.
Just he's fun.

(38:59):
Everything he does is fun.

Brandan (39:01):
Right?
Ryan in chat, "Heard Samlooks faster this year."

Phil (39:05):
Oh.

Brandan (39:05):
Yeah, that…
It was just him jogging.
Sam.
And Clinton saying Samwas running it forward.
Maybe a stretch

Phil (39:12):
I, I don't…
You're right.
I, I forgot about that.
Maybe this wasn't the best episode.
I thought it was the best episodeuntil you just talked about

Brandan (39:17):
it.
It was a good episode.
I, I f- I feel like I'm closing on adowner by, by focusing on one of the
bad parts because they're- What was your

Phil (39:24):
favorite, your favorite thing this episode, and then for the
whole season, your two favorites?

Brandan (39:29):
From this episode, I, I love behind-the-scenes stuff.
Okay.
And so getting the behind-the-scenesview of their, of how they travel
the, the airplane that they travel in.
Okay.
Somebody asked in chat,"Is that a new airplane?"
I, I think it is new based on, howthey used to travel three, four years

(39:53):
ago because they ended up, I think theygot marked down in terms of player report
card of, of how they travel and, and therenot being enough space for the players.
And you could definitely see on thatjet that there was plenty of space
for guys to lay out and stretch.
So y- you could tell where, the bigguys and, and maybe the guys with the

(40:13):
bigger contracts got to hang out, versus the guys who are more the rookies.
But there's still, there, therewas plenty of space back there.
And like I said, with the DollyParton Nine to Five- Yeah… tribute
in the background, that, thatpart of the episode- That was
great… th- that did it for me.

Phil (40:28):
Okay.
Our, my favorite we already coveredwas Foster with his parents.
Sure.
That was awesome 'cause it moved me.
My favorite that we didnot cover, my, my…
Just escaped my mind.
No, my, my favorite that, that wedid not cover was when Mike was starting
in and I'm like, "Boa constrictor?"
How are we like a boa constrictor?

(40:50):
Because I like to teach myplayers on defense in soccer
to be like a rattlesnake.
We're-

Brandan (40:55):
Hmm

… Phil (40:55):
we're ready, but we're not gonna strike until they get too close.
A rattlesnake doesn't gountil you're too close.
'Cause if you go early, then you're, you're nothing.
You're toast.
A boa constrictor is kindaslow, but then I loved how he
began unlayering what he meant.
We just keep tightening the pressure.
We apply- Yeah… pressure, moreand more pressure, and then they're

(41:16):
squeezed to death basically.
Yeah.
And so- Until the scales-

Brandan (41:20):
That was a-… tip in our favor.

Phil (41:21):
Yes.
So I like that.
A- and I, I'm gonna be watching forthat this season, the boa constrictor.
How about for the whole season, Brandan, your favorite moment, five episodes?

Brandan (41:31):
Oh.
Oh, favorite moment in five episodes.
I, I think, it, it'smore of a theme overall.
The, the, the…
I like soundtracks.
Yeah.
And so the fact that they worked ina lot of those Seattle soundtracks-
Mm-hmm… whether it was Soundgarden,Pearl Jam, Jimi Hendrix, all, having

(41:52):
all of those, you know, Seattle areasoundtracks that, that were
recognizable as part of the, part of the city, part of the culture.
Oh, yeah.
And, and the shots of the VMAC.
Like, you- Yeah… wondered whothe star of this was gonna be.
I think overall the star was just howpicturesque the- VMAC… VMAC area is.

Phil (42:13):
You might be right.
Yeah, the overarching theme of theVMAC being beautiful, the camera
work with the sprinklers, you know?
a lot of that was pretty good.
Yep.

Brandan (42:22):
th- before we get to yours, WD Ford in chat asks how many
doors does Brandan have in his house?
'cause it's kind of funny 'causeI have, I have two doors behind me.
So behind the scenes, this is, thisis actually a mudroom, and so the one of
the doors is to the garage- Oh… andone of the doors is to the house.
And so, when- That makes sense… I used to have an office, in my house

(42:47):
because I do a lot of work from home.
Yeah.
And, and then the, all my girls grewup, and they wanted their own separate
rooms, and so I made a little, office nook for myself in the mudroom.

Phil (42:59):
That's fantastic.
Hey, WD Ford, guess what?
Brandan has as many doors in thisroom as he has A's in his name.
There's two A's in Brandan.
You gotta know that, if you'rewatching the Seahawks Podcast
by now- Oh, there you go… orif this is your first time

Brandan (43:12):
dialing- That's name critique.

Phil (43:13):
Yes.

Brandan (43:15):
Okay, so, your favorite, from all the episodes, Phil.

Phil (43:18):
Oh, that's tough.
That's pretty tough.

Brandan (43:21):
Yeah.
You had time to think about it while I wasgiving my answer though, so I- You bought

Phil (43:23):
me all this time.
I should've known you

Brandan (43:25):
were- I bought you all this time to answer

… Phil (43:27):
I should've known you were coming back to it.
Yeah, I mean, far as overarchingtheme, the star you said was the VMac.
I still think the star is Mike.
I already liked him.
He's the guy I wanted us to hire, andwe hired him, and he was far beyond
what I ever might have hoped for.
We did better than I might havehoped for last season, and I knew

(43:47):
Mike was a lot to do with it.
I am more confident than everafter watching him, how he
handles all these things.
His humility, Mike's incrediblebrilliance, and yet it's all filtered
through just actual, real, naturalhumility- It just goes through everywhere.
All the leaders are the same.

(44:07):
Cup's that way.
Leo's that way.
I mean, it just, it- Sam is that way.
The, the way in which they all s- aretrying to get sharper and do their
best, and they're not self-impressed butthey're self-aware, and they're, they
know who each other are because they'rewilling to know who they are and their
place in it, and they can challengeeach other honestly because they're not

(44:30):
putting on airs, that stands out, andthat's a takeaway that I'll never lose.
Just watching the man Mike and how hegoes about his business has affected
us, I think, and for that, the, thetime spent watching it is valuable.

Brandan (44:45):
Absolutely.
And, Whistle Jacket in chatsaying, "Favorite moment, definitely
D Law making fun of the hot pants."
What are we doing?

Phil (44:52):
Yeah.
That was the funniest part.
Yeah.
Yeah.

Brandan (44:56):
Charlie the unicorn, JS walking on the treadmill all the time
talking to employees, phone calls, nuts.
yeah, it's all of thebehind-the-scenes stuff that you get
to see, but really I, I think youpointed it out, Phil, the, the pi-
the behind-the-scenes stuff of CoachMike and seeing a- and really getting
a sense of what he's all about issomething that, for one, we're on board.

(45:22):
You just won us a Super Bowl anyway.
Yeah.

Phil (45:24):
Sure.

Brandan (45:24):
But to then see a, a lot of the reasoning of, oh
this is, this is the reason why.
Yeah.
It's because our coach is like this.
Yeah.
And he, the way that heinteracts with all of the…
It, it, this is what culture is allabout and how a coaching staff and

(45:45):
a general manager, how you can buildculture through, you know, key people.
You get, you get to see the sense of that.

Phil (45:53):
I think it goes with Dolly, like Dolly just passed.
Everybody who ever met her, theyfelt like healing and kindness.
I, I've been around her a little bitwhen, I was a bellman a long time
ago, and there's all these diva stars, and so many of them are total jerks.
She literally, if she knew you werearound her, she made you feel better
just by how she handled herselfand treated you with so much value.

(46:14):
Like, if you just knew you were valued.
Mike in a manly way, in a, in, ratherthan the lovely feminine way, in a
manly, still tough-guy way shows that.
Like, everybody has value, and he'strying to help you become all that
you can be, and that's just how he is.
That's how he breathes.
That's how he exists.

Brandan (46:36):
Yeah.
So, really cool tofinish off that series, Phil.
And now we are just days away fromtaking on the New England Patriots.
We got shows coming up.
we're gonna be talking toMookie Alexander later this week.
Cool.
I know they have some, some coolstuff going on over at SB Nation that
we're gonna talk to Mookie about.

(46:57):
I'm gonna have, planningto have Michael-Shawn Dugar on the
show, who was a reporter for TheAthletic, reported on the Seahawks.
He's no longer reporting withthe Seahawks, but he just
came out with a, a new book.
Mm.
12 is 1, and so I'm gonna talkto, to Mike about his new book.
We have a, our seasonexpectations show coming up, me
Adam Emmett, episode 505.

Phil (47:19):
Nice.

Brandan (47:20):
we're gonna be doing that, and then, Phil, we'll have a What If
preview maybe coming up Monday next week.
Is that the plan?

Phil (47:28):
That's the plan.
Try to guess the, themehere, and it's a new guy.

Brandan (47:32):
Try and guess the theme, which is Phil looking for ideas for a theme.

Phil (47:36):
I have an idea for a theme.
It has to do with a new, very importantperson that is on the Seahawks.

Brandan (47:42):
Ooh, a very important person.
All right, Blue Bets.
let's see.
W- if we have a…
If we do that Monday, we havea very full week, Marlon.
I, i- if, if we
can- 'Cause- As a g- and our season starts early, like, several-
Our season starts early.
We, we may not have, And you're

Phil (48:02):
traveling.

Brandan (48:03):
Yeah, we're traveling, and we're gonna be meeting up with the flock at
13 Coins on Tuesday ahead of the game.
So while we would normally record thatshow on, the day before the game, that
day's gonna be awfully full for us, so we,we may have to- Just go to a card shop in

Phil (48:20):
Seattle and- Yeah… put together your
blue show, whatever that is.

Brandan (48:24):
We'll, we'll have to see.
Yeah.
Collectible.
If, if we can, if we can fit that inTuesday night, so that way you could
have it in your podcast feed Wednesdaymorning before the, before the actual
game, maybe that's- Do a Wednesday morning
maybe that's how we get it done.
Clinton's saying, "We cando Blue Bets live- Wednesday
morning… Wednesday morning.
Let's go."

Phil (48:42):
Go find yourself a collectible shop, which I know
Brandan and Clinton would love toenjoy-… and just sit down and, and
carry out your, your Blue Bets show.

Brandan (48:49):
Oh, we got an Airbnb.
We'll, we'll be doing great, so yeah.
We'll, we'll, we'll find a way.
We'll, we'll record somecontent while we're out there.
It…
Really appreciate everybody tuning in,but yeah, we got, we got a lot going on.
Really wanna thank Ryan911who came in with the 49.99.
Awesome, man.
And, continuing to be our LiveExecutive Producer, and thanks

(49:11):
to everybody who joined us livefor the finale of Hard Knocks.
And I think with that, Phil- And with

Phil (49:18):
that, with that, Brandan-

Brandan (49:20):
There's only one thing left to say

… Phil (49:22):
go Hawks.

Brandan (49:23):
Go Hawks.
