Nickie is a professional triathlete and former NCAA DI soccer player. Nickie began training for her first Ironman while working full-time as a nurse. Along the way she developed a team to support her journey as an athlete, and now works as a manager and buyer at Up and Running. Nickie has a special story about overcoming adversity, and is one of the toughest competitors in our community!
Charles ran 30:30 at the Minster 10K last October, 2:32:02 at the Old Glory Invitational Marathon in November, and recently ran 1:06:54 for the half marathon in Greenville, South Carolina. He is completing his Masters Degree and coaching Cross-Country and Track at Wittenberg University where he was a four year athlete himself. Evan ran 2:17:29 at Grandma's Marathon in 2019 to qualify for his second US Olympic Marathon Trials. He also qualified for the 2016 Trials by running 1:04:44 at the 2016 Jacksonville Half Marathon. Evan was a state cross-country champion in high school and a five-time All-American at Malone University. He won the Glass City Marathon twice and plans to run his hometown race again this year.

He has run Boston in his 20's, 30's, and 40's, and has completed multiple Ironman triathlons. He talks about timing the Minster Oktoberfest Classic 10K, one of the area's premier races, and his approach to competing as a life-long athlete.
Katie ran in the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials Marathon after qualifying with a 2:44:15 at the 2020 Houston Marathon. Houston was Katie's third attempt to qualify after running Columbus (2:53:58) and Indianapolis (2:46:34) in late 2019. Dustin ran 2:23:00 (4th Overall) at the 2019 Columbus Marathon at age 44. It was his 17th marathon since he began running competitively at age 37. Jason ran the 2020 Greenville Half Marathon in 1:08:58 and the Glass City Virtual Marathon in 2:27:55. He ran for Tippecanoe High School and Bowling Green State University where he ran 14:42.75 for 5,000m. Jason established the Dayton Distance Project in 2019 helping to lead and organize competitive runners within the region.

Lizzie won the 2019 Akron Marathon and later that year ran 2:44:41 at the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Trials. Lizzie ran for the University of Dayton where she ranks #6 all-time in the mile (4:56.27) and 3,000m steeplechase (10:35.48), and where she helped set the school record in the 4x800m relay.

Brandon is race director for the Air Force Marathon and leads the Advanced Running Project, a small business that produces road races in the local area.
Jonathan ran 2:53:43 at the 2019 Indianapolis Monumental Marathon. He has run over 20 marathons including five in Boston.
