In this fallen world more and more people are feeling worthless. They feel they are not loved, they are not valuable, not precious and not unique. Many in this day feel they were never wanted or loved.
The truth is God, so loved, valued, considered, them precious and unique; that he gave his only begotten Son, so that all who believed in Him would be saved and reconciled to Him.
A 19th century Christmas hymn called “Oh Holy Night” has the lyric “til he appeared and the soul felt it’s worth”. Actually reflects the reality of the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Psalm 27:10 NLT —Even if my father and mother abandon me, the LORD will hold me close.
God has most definitely executed His desire to save us and to redeem us from sin, sickness, poverty and eternal separation from Him in Christ Jesus.
Even if our father and our mother abandon us, the Lord will hold us close.
The spring scripture of 2C5 is that God is in Christ Jesus reconciling the world to Himself, not counting our trespasses against us. One translation says the God is in Christ Jesus hugging the world back to Himself. You are valuable, you are precious, you are unique and the Father values you so much that He sent Jesus to hell for you to redeem you from the power of darkness.
You could biblically say that God loves you as much as He loves Jesus.
It is the simple act of believing the words of the living God that He does love you. You were in his heart before He created the universe. This is why it’s important to abide in the Word of the living God to renew your mind to New Testament realities so when the devil lies to you and says you are worthless, you know it’s a lie.
