Foraging News and tonight on Rita Cosby Show, lots of
reactions to the primaries, and boy, what a night it was.
As we know, in Wisconsin, the Democratic Socialists lost narrowly. Boy,
that was a razor thin margin. And then of course

in Minnesota, you've got another wacko there. You've got the
Lieutenant governor under Tim Walls, who's talking about gender affirming
care for kids, talking about how terrible and terrorizing ices.
You already hear the vitriol from there. And there is
a lot right now on the Democrats plate as they

try to find their way and try to figure out
what is the best path forward. But a mixed reaction
after last night's election. And of course, let's not forget
you guys here on the Rita Cosby Show. We were
live when all the results were coming in, and we've
been hearing for weeks. We've been hearing for months from
the Democrats, like Democratic Governor of Virginia, Abigail Spamberger, who

said this is a big ten party. Remember that was
the line that we heard over and over again. And
take a listen to the Virginia governor because she said
we have room for everybody. Come one, come all, even
you lovable DSA people. You're welcome to come in. This
is what they said before last night.

The larger question, though, governors, do you see the Democratic
Party as a big tent that is open to all
comers from what might be described as a mainstream or
establishment Democrat at the same time that increasingly it seems
to be a move left on the progressive side, and
how that ultimately shakes out.

I think the Democratic Party is a big ten party.
We've always been a big ten party. I think the
important piece is that anyone who's running for office should
be telling voters what it is that they are for,
what it is they intend to do, who they are
as people, what experience they bring to bear.

Well, clearly Francesca Hung had none of that. She didn't
have experience, she didn't have any messaging. She was flipping
and flopping, saying that she didn't like Thanksgiving, and she
was so kooky that even most in the Democratic Socialist
movement stayed away from her. Remember AOC stay away from her. Also,

Bernie Sanders day away from her. But the question is
what comes next from here. They don't seem dissuaded by
their message. In fact, they're like, well, Abdula l si
Ed was a model, great, fantastic candidate, and Francesca Hung
not so good. That seems to be the assessment. So

I guess even AOC and Bernie Sanders didn't want to
be a part of what was an ongoing train wreck,
so to speak. But Hassan Piker, the great Democratic philosopher,
this is the guy who's hanging around, of course with
all the Democrats. This is the one who's hard charging
in saying America deserve nine to eleven, that despicable comment

and many others that he has said. He doesn't seem
to be backing down. In fact, he is angry today.
He did sort of a post podcast after the results
came in, and of course he was supporting Francesca Hang.
He didn't seem to be with her almost every day
or at the party like we saw him with Abdula

el Sayed, but he was definitely out there with her.
He had her on his podcast. I guess if she
didn't even have Hassan Piker, she probably have nobody. I mean,
she would probably be like, you know, like maybe ten votes.
You know, as it turns out, she got several hundred.
So the Democratic Socialists of America have a lot to celebrate.

I'm not saying it's a good thing, but they have
a lot to celebrate in the fact that not that
long ago, nobody had ever heard of Jessica Francesca Houng,
nobody had ever heard of Democratic Socialists of America being
a viable force in any political party in America. And
yet now they are a major force. And in fact,
there are polls out there that say that sixty three

percent of the Democrats have a good feeling about socialism,
do they have any comprehension what it really means and
what the dangers are. So last night it was a
wake up call for Francesca hung and people like Hassan Piker.
But on the other hand, it doesn't look like it's

dissuading the Democratic Socialists of America. Maybe they're going to
be a little picky or on their candidates, but they're
still backing abdulahl Sayed, who has said some really reprehensible things.
And so here is a son Piker because he's furious today.
He is so angry after the results came in and
Francesca hang lost, and he says, take a listen. The

knives are out. And he's referring to other members of
the Democratic Party. This sounds like a democratic civil war.

Be able to lean into their victories, so it'll be
less difficult, it will be easier to deliver our message.
It'll be more difficult though, because the establishment will not
underestimate us. It will continue to undermine us, but they
will not underestimate us, So the knives will be out.

But we are still going strong. But he feels like
clearly the establishment undermined the Democratic Socialists of America, which
they did in Wisconsin. Tony Ever is the governor there.
Remember back the other guy, David Crowley who ended up winning.
I mean, that was a real stunning turnaround. And the

other thing is the polls today. So many people are
talking about the fact that the polls were off at
least like twenty points. So is that because the posters
don't know how to ask the right questions? Is that
because maybe people are afraid that if they answer to
a pollster that maybe they don't like the Democratic Socialists

of America. They're going to end up on some list
kind of like the one million people that had their
addresses exposed by Mundani. Are they going to end up
on sort of a target list, if you will. If
they say that they're not fans of the Democratic Socialists
of America, did they maybe just not answer the phone.
I mean, there's a big self evaluation of what's going

on in the polling business. And I'm curious to hear
your thoughts as to why the polls were so far
off and what does that say about just the polling
in general, because there are a lot of people who
were saying, oh, well, she's gonna win handily. It's sure
look that way. Maybe it dissuaded people from voting because

they thought she was a shoeing. You never know the
impact that some of these polls that are so far
off actually cause. And here is Hassan Piker, because he's
also blaming the media in general. He says the media
was undermining this great, brilliant candidate, Francesca Hung. Take a listen.

These other candidates are a Locke plus seven national electorate
for the Democrats. It's going to be easy, right for
everybody else except for Francesco. Okay, what about Michigan ABDLOS
was winning against Mike Rodgers by higher margines than Haley Stevens.
Did that stop the national media from saying Hailey Stevens

was the more electable candidate. Did anyone make a big
fuss about how not a single poll showed that reality. No,
it didn't, because these guys are lying to you. Okay,
wake up. Corporate media is lying to you. That's it.

There was not a single poll that showed that Hailey
Stevens was going to outperform abdelas aid in a matchup
with Mike Rogers. That didn't stop CNN MS. Now ABCCBS
from skipping a beat every damn day of the week
is saying, now Abdol's going to lose to Mike Rodgers,

he's too Muslim.

Wow. Uh, you can see where this is going. It's
going to get into really ugly territory blaming the media,
blaming others in the Democratic Party. What about looking in
the mirror and saying you were willing to support one
of the most vile candidates with some of the most
crazy positions, and now we're learning more about this lieutenant

governor in of course, Minnesota. She is running there in
that position for Senate, and she's really crazy too. I mean,
you see these images of her with the burk on
some shots, but you also hear her talking about gender
affirming care, saying that she wants to rip the heart
out essentially of Ice. That was in her acceptance speech

last night. So it's going to be a bumpy ride
between now and November. As also, it looks like again
that the Democratic Party is trying to find its moral compass,
trying to find its soul. But Francesca Hang was such
a wacky even voters, even the Democrats there in the

state of Wisconsin, were like, huh, did she just say
that things like this, remember this, you.

Have a lot of internal reckoning to do, but that
it's important to see it through the lens of toxic
white supremacy culture. Sure that is ingrained in this country's history,
that racism is actually at the backbone of this history.
And when people talk about constitution, you know, federalism, the

step back and look at you know, how those rights
have really only been offered up to a certain group
and what that.
