weekend. I am super excited for this one
someone I've been a fan of for avery long time We've we've come
and gone from the same places but now finally meet here.
I'm joined today with. I am Colby Carino, the last

But anyway, what is your currentgoal in life?
My current goal in life is to leave wrestling better than how

it was when I came up. Fucking love that answer.
What are you currently doing to achieve that goal?
I tried to set an example on allthe shows that I go on to be
like, I'm not going to say that like I'm the the best person in
the world, but I like, I like totry to hold that in my spine and
then make sure that there's likea, to keep in mind that like I

have to hold a standard because I, I also help own a school and
promotion in North Carolina, PWFand the Carolina Wrestling
Academy. So I always feel like I have to
set an example for my students myself, you know, and, and you,
you start with just a small sample size, like a few students
and then it keeps growing and growing.
And then, you know, hopefully people take it, take a little,

what's the word I'm looking for?You know what I'm?
Looking for. I don't.
Know you you lead by example. Yeah, sure.

We got. What is currently holding you
back? Our distraction from your goal.
I don't think I really have anything holding.
Me back from it. Maybe it's a little bit of a
distraction that like I have my own career to focus on and of
course, I would like to make myself the the best Colby Karina

that can be in and take Karina, the Colby Karina to the highest
heights. Don't really feel like that
detracts too much from what I'm doing now.
So I think it works kind of its synergy.
Yeah, who or what motivates or inspires you?
I think I think the most obviousanswer for this is my dad,

because he's always like even tothis day, he's still giving back
not just to the people at the performance center in WWE and
XT, but like he still helps. It comes around help run the
Carolina wrestling county. He still comes to PWF shows and
helps run them and work on the next generation of wrestlers
too. So like, and he doesn't have to
do that. He doesn't make money from that
as a not WWE money at least you know, but you know, I try to he

(02:58):
set a good example, yes, for me and I'm trying to take that
multiply and bring it to a bunchof new people too.
When I when I hear your last name, I just think of like
really hard working family. You guys just put the work in
like. Oh, if you say.
Something I'm, I'm like I, I watched, I watched a member of
your family do a a seminar and she worked the dog shit off that

entire seminar. They there was people who I
thought that came in that thought they were in great shape
and she quickly made them realize they were not.
I always say that Allison Dangerous, the the meanest of
the Korean. There's like a list and it goes
Allison me and then my dad's in the nicest.
Yeah, I'm right in the middle, you know.
What are you grateful for and are you currently happy?
I'm grateful for my family, my wife, my son, and I'm grateful

that my living and being able tosupport them all comes from
professional wrestling and that that makes me extremely happy.
That's I If you go back and lookat interviews from 5-10 years
ago, I've always said the same thing.
My goal in wrestling isn't the main event in WrestleMania.
It isn't to hold the WWE Championship or be on TV for AW
or whatever. It is.

My goal is to make wrest living from wrestling to support my
family. I'm doing that right now, so
everything else that I'm doing is just icing on top of the
cake, you know? Yeah.

One of the things it personally annoys me.
I, I, I, unfortunately, as a content creator, have to kind of
go into the trenches of the the Internet wrestling community,
which sometimes can be a very positive place, but could be a
very negative place. And a lot of people hear some
names of generational talent andthey say, oh, they only have

(06:00):
what they have because insert father, insert mother, insert
cousin, brother, whatever it maybe.
And I always say like, you have to have some kind of skill to
get to that next level. How do you navigate that?
How do you, what do you, I mean,I know the answers, but what do
you do to other like to show others that it's not always
about that. It's about your work rate and
stuff like that. I think it's a there there are

(06:23):
definitely a few generational talents if you, if you that's
what you are called, men that dotry to live off of their
ancestors name. But I try to, I try very hard to
avoid doing that. I try not to do the moves the
same as my dad. I try not to wrestle like my dad
and like any like sort of similarities, like I try to, you
know, I don't want to be Steve Carino junior.
I want to be Colby Carino. I don't want to be looking at

(06:44):
Steve Carino's son. I want people to look at me like
my dad, like, oh, that's Colby Carino's dad, you know?
And yeah, I think I answered thequestion.
Right. Yeah, absolutely.
You definitely stand on your own, but I definitely think that
you still bring that flair of that last name of that, like I
said, that hard work and dedication.
I've always look forward to yourmatches.
