(00:27):
What's going on? Everybody, We are back.
Five questions with ABJ at AtticBrewing Company for Labor of
Love. Wrestle John, correct?
Yeah. Wrestle John yeah.
There's two shows I'm doing a lot this weekend so it's crazy
but. But so I'm here today with.
You're here with Martin Hughes, the Hughes that can't lose.
(00:50):
That's what you're rocking with. All right, all right.
What is your current goal? Also professional wrestler not
working here today, you know, but you will be doing stuff
WrestleMania weekend and it's kind of new to the game, so it's
exciting to see the future. It's it's good.
It's just it times out. Yeah, you're fine.
What is your current goal in life?
So my current goal in life is tojust express myself in this art
(01:15):
form in, in in this sport, to really define myself through
what I do in that ring, to become a reputable champion for
people to look up to, you know, just to just to become something
within this art. Interesting that.
(01:37):
I love so. What are you currently doing to
achieve your goals? I train at catch point.
I'm a catch point graduate, partof the first class.
That's why we throw the ones up right now.
I'm going to tag team with my dog, Tom Larosa, Citywide St.
Gang, and we train four days a week.
(01:58):
You know, we go to every show wecan and keep the seat warm for
us because we're going to sit down soon.
What is currently holding you back?
Our distraction from your goals.Distractions.
Distractions, you know, going into this, you know, I don't
(02:19):
think there is a single thing that can hold me back.
Only I could hold me back. I like that even if I lose, I
don't lose. So I feel like the mirrors try
to hold me back, but at the end of the day we execute.
Appreciate that. Who or what motivates or
(02:41):
inspires you? You know what motivates me and
inspires me? Teto Yunaito.
He inspires me because he does whatever he wants to do and he
doesn't care about what the people think.
He inspires me. The titles inspire me.
(03:04):
The number one spot inspires me.I'm inspired by being the best.
Awesome. What are you currently grateful
for and are you currently happy?I am currently grateful just to
be within this, to finally do what I always wanted to do, and
that's professionally wrestling.Am I happy?
(03:27):
I'm ecstatic. No reason not to be happy.
Just, you know, getting in thosereps, doing shows when I can,
proving my worth, going in there, demolishing opponents
that stand in front of me and I'm the huge that I can't lose.
You know, even if I do lose, it's not a loss.
(03:49):
We grow from it, we learn from it.
It's everlasting and we're goingto get better.
Awesome, awesome. Where can people find you to
support you? They can find me at Instagram at
Shoes That Can't Lose. You can find me on Twitter at
Hughes Can Never Lose, and sanctuary just a plethora of
(04:23):
outlets. Honestly, citywide, St. gang's
going to be everywhere. I.
Love it. I love it.
Well, thank you guys for tuning in to Five Questions ABJ.
It's mania week, babe. We got a lot coming.
This is just the beginning, so stay tuned.
We'll see you on the next one. Gang on top?
(05:18):
We are back. You stayed for the post credit
scene and where I got that bonusquestion now, rainy a weekend is
the time where everybody in the Northeast and everybody in
Pennsylvania and those people from Jersey are going to sneak
in in New York and everybody wants to be here because today
this is the big weekend. Now alongside that, there's a
lot of places that you could have trained, a lot of places
that you could have gone. What makes Catch Point Wrestling
(05:40):
stand out amongst every other school that you feel, and why
did you choose it? Well, first and foremost, I grew
up watching CZW at the new Alhambra Arena.
I know it's called 2200, but it used to be called Viking Hall,
you know, so on and so forth. But I grew up watching Drew
Gulak feud with Nick Gage and seeing that transpire.
(06:03):
So, you know, I've been to otherschools and it wasn't until 2023
Catch Point opened up Philadelphia based.
I'm from Philadelphia, born and raised.
Not just saying it just for the bill, but that's the reality of
my life. And I just I'm really proud for
about where I'm from. You know, it's it's 215 over
(06:25):
everything and catch point over everything.
So just that Philly bread from Philly, built in Philly and it
like, you know, in Northeast, people are even I train where
people are scared to even walk home, you know, those streets.
So it's it's a really surreal experience.
(06:46):
I'm really grateful to call best I can be within this sport.
Hell yeah, I well, you have you heard it here, Catch Point
(07:06):
Wrestling in Philadelphia. If you're looking for a school
to watch or students to come outof it, follow them on all social
media and she'll love to that amazing school.
See you on the next one. Perfect.
Great job. Thank you.
That's good. That was good.
I was kind of like.
