We say, "I hope..." a lot. Oftentimes, when we talk about hope, it's about an idea, or a wish. Hope, importantly, is a verb. Active Hope, or Hope in Action, is an essential part of the Abundance Mindset ecosystem.

In this episode, we talk about:
Hope is not wishful thinking;
Hope is not simplified manifestation;
Hope can be spiritual;
and, Hope lives on.

We wrote an article about active hope, a...

Gratitude isn't simplified positivity. It is being able to acknowledge how hard life can be, and still be grateful and thankful for what we have. The practice of Gratitude helps us recenter and reground ourselves, reduce the influence of ego and the "me me me" thinking, and remove the "victim" ideation from our mindset. Gratitude allows us to see the beauty of humanity and the world. It is, indeed, a crucial part of the Abundance M...

Saying "I am sorry" can be hard. Taking accountability can be even harder. Our pride and ego can, sometimes, be our biggest obstacle when it comes to taking ownership of what we say and do. What if, making an apology and taking accountability is, in fact, a practice of Abundance Mindset? What if, when we remove the judgement, apology and accountability lead to acceptance and liberation? Isn't that, cool?

Home is one of the symbols of Abundance. What is home? Where is home? How do we find our way home? Who is still searching for home? Home can be very literal, or very spiritual, or philosophical. The movie The Odyssey made me think about where we belong, land stewardship, and peace.

Many of us aspire or try hard to be self-sufficient. Some even wear it as a badge of honor. "I did it all by myself." As social animals, it is impractical, at times, even cruel, for us to expect everyone to be self-sufficient. It is scarcity-driven and ultra-individualistic. While we all strive to be independent people, it is also crucial to have familial, communal, and systemic support. To know that we are not alone, that we are s...

We don't talk about grief enough. Yes, grief is about death, loss, sadness, sorrow, disappointment, grievance, etc. Most importantly, grief is about love. For those who have loved deeply and profoundly, grief is the continuum, or a different form of love. Grief is not taboo or something to be ashamed of. Grief is love.

Love is a topic that always draws attention and interest. In addition to romantic love, there are familial love, community love, and the big love. Love is a symbol of Abundance. It is proof that "we are enough" because "we are loved". What if love isn't something needs seeking, but readily available to all? What if, love is in the air for us all to take in? We are loved. You are loved. We are one. Our existence signals love.

In this episode, we talk about how time is not a commodity. In many cultures, time is cyclical and relational. Time is not to be consumed, spent, wasted, or saved. We don't need to rush, hurry up, or catch up at all times. We can slow down, experience time, and create time. Time is one of the most important elements in Abundance.

Rest is vital to our wellbeing and our ability to continue to live and thrive in the world. Rest is connected with Recharge, Restore, Replenish, Recalibrate, Recuperate, etc. It is an important part of Abundance.

Grind and hustle culture is the product of the scarcity mindset. It tells us that "there won't be enough for you if you don't hard". It creates FOMO (fear of missing out) and extreme competition. As a result, ...

Daydreaming has a bad reputation and it's associated with "not working" or "wasting time" or "unrealistic". In fact, dreaming is such an important part in our life as it teaches us about curiosity, purpose, hope, and possibility. Dreaming is not frivolous. We need space, including physical space, head space, and heart space. In a world that is crowded and overwhelmed both physically and spiritually, we develop claustrophobia, hypervigilance, and intense anxiety that feels suffocating and restricting. The lack of space feels like scarcity.

How do we expand our physical and head space? By practicing the Abundance Mindset. Look beyond you and around you, what do you notice?...

The scarcity mindset is the naughty sibling of the Abundance Mindset. Like yin and yang, day and night, light and darkness, there is no Abundance without scarcity. The scarcity mindset is the default mindset in modern society, especially for adults. It runs on the illusion that "there is not enough for everyone" therefore "we must acquire more and hoard resources". Learning about the scarcity mindset and what happens when we lead o...

We hear these a lot: "This is how it's always done", "It is what it is", "If it is not broken don't fix it", etc. We protect the status quo or the norms, sometimes unintentionally, at the cost of people's wellbeing. What if we are more open to new ideas? What if we are willing to hear feedback and criticism? What if we wake up our curious mind? When we open up, we create more space for something different, something new, something ...

The feeling of being stranded on an island, the "I should have done better" self-judgement, the sense of helpless and hopeless... they are all symptoms of living in scarcity. It is not our fault to have those experiences and feelings. We have an opportunity to leave that lonely island and the cell of self-judgement, and enter the world of abundance.

"In solidarity" is in a lot of email signatures these days. What does it mean? Why do we say it? If we are in solidarity with someone or some community, what is expected? What is solidarity economy and how to identify it? In practice, how do we "do" solidarity economy? Solidarity is an important part if the Abundance Mindset value system. To build the world of abundance, we need to be in solidarity with each other.
