Is GenAI Something to Consider as an Author?

Generative AI isn't going anywhere, but is it the awesome tool that some seem to think it is? Tonight, I share my thoughts on generative AI and why I prefer to write books and blog posts myself.

There are a lot of reasons why people stay away from generative AI. Of course, there are also a lot of reasons why people might like it. After all, it does have a bit of allure of writing things for you at an extremely fast pace. But is it worth sacrificing morals and ethics just to have quick content?

According to a lot of folk I've talked to online, yes. They would rather have quick content to appease algorithms than have a human professionally craft a great article. Then you have the "authors" who flood Amazon with AI-driven books.

Generative AI has made a mess out of a lot of elements of art. And I find it sad that people would rather take the quick and easy route over learning a skill.

This will probably lose me a lot of subscribers or followers on social media.What thoughts do you have on GenAI? Are there situations in which you would let AI help you in some fashion when it came to producing art of any kind?
