This week we highlight how feeling a sense of belonging can help people on their recovery journey. Program directors Kim Patterson and Ladonne Rogers will share how Peer Recovery Support Centers create community.

Building social supports and a caring community is essential for recovery.

• We do not recover alone. Recovery can be easier with the support of others.

• Community can include people who accept us and encourage us to grow.

• Family, friends, peers, and others play an important role in someone’s recovery.

• Recovery is supported through meaningful relationships.

• Social inclusion, not isolation, is important for recovery.

Betrayal Season 5

Betrayal Season 5

Saskia Inwood woke up one morning, knowing her life would never be the same. The night before, she learned the unimaginable – that the husband she knew in the light of day was a different person after dark. This season unpacks Saskia’s discovery of her husband’s secret life and her fight to bring him to justice. Along the way, we expose a crime that is just coming to light. This is also a story about the myth of the “perfect victim:” who gets believed, who gets doubted, and why. We follow Saskia as she works to reclaim her body, her voice, and her life.
