SPEAKER_00 (01:29):
Well, hey there, and welcome to Straight from the
Stylist Chair.
This is a special QA series hereon All About Hair.
I'm your host, Denise Keilitz, and I'm here to answer the real
questions clients ask in thesalon so you can feel confident
and love every visit.
Hey there and welcome to thevery first episode of Straight

(01:51):
from the Stylist Chair.
This is just a mini-series thatI've added on to All About Hair.
And the reason for it is I justthought that there were
questions that I get almostevery time behind the chair.
And I know other stylists getthese same questions.
And I just thought I'd put thisout on a platform that might
help stylists have the answersthat they can give to the

(02:13):
clients.
And actually, clients, hey, it'sthere's no stupid questions out
there.
Okay.
So I'm just here to answer thereal questions that clients ask
in the salon so you can feelconfident and love every visit
because that's what it's allabout, right?
So have you ever startednoticing more hair in your brush
or your shower drain andthought, what am I doing wrong?

(02:36):
You are not alone.
Hair thinning can feel scary.
My goodness, it makes you secondguess your shampoo, your styling
tools, and maybe even yourhealth.
It's emotional.
I've had it myself.
Our hair is such a part of ourconfidence.
And the internet just doesn'thelp.

(02:57):
One blog says to douse yourscalp in oil, and another one
says cut everything off andstart over.
And don't even get me started onthose magic vitamins that
promise your hair to grow, repunzel hair in like 30 days.
No, come on.
Here's the real talk.
Thinning can be caused byhormones, stress, genetics,

(03:21):
diet, and sometimes evenmedication.
You can't control every cause, but you can protect what you
have.
So here's a few tips.
Be very gentle when washing anddetangling.
Use heat less often and alwaysprotect when you do.
Keep your scalp healthy.

(03:42):
A gentle massage can stimulateblood flow.
Feed your hair from the insideout with good nutrition.
Maybe that means find a goodsupplement.
And if you're seeing suddenpatchy loss or big changes, a
dermatologist or a tricologistcan help you catch it early.

(04:02):
So when you stop guessing andstart taking smart steps, you'll
slow down your shedding, keepthe fullness you love, and you
will feel so much better aboutyour hair's future.
Hey, thanks for hanging out withme today.
I hope today's chat helps youwalk into your next appointment
feeling totally confident.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
