have been to Washington, if you haven't, you see of
course the capital and you see the Washington monumenting. Oh,
this is wonderful. This is the bedrock, this is the
this is the cradle, the crucible of governance. Nonsense. Is
lobbying itself really the problem? Or is it because that
the people and the people who are are representatives are

it because of this metastasis, this cancer called lobbying. What
is the problem.

Well, it's all of the above that you just mentioned,
and I think, look, people love power and money. Let's
face it right now, the money from big Tech is
all over Capitol Hill infiltrating not only our senators, you know,
our congresspeople, legislative staff. It's all over the place. Okay,
And frankly, listen, our president at the inauguration, he had

them sitting behind him, the big tech CEOs, you know,
some of them with their spouses. Right when members of
Congress were told, remember the inauguration was brought inside, it
was not done outside, and they were told, well you're not.
Members of Congress were told, like, you're not allowed to
bring your spouses. Like it's one because it was done inside.
That's it. You can come, but that's it. But then,
you know, when I turned on the TV, I saw,

you know, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez sitting there. I
saw Mark Zuckerberg and his white sitting there. They were
allowed to bring their spouses. And then we fast forward
to seeing the President and First Lady having a dinner
at the White House with all the big tech CEOs. Okay,
the advisors in the White House right now to the

president on big tech Okay, our Silicon Valley kings, we'll
call them. Okay, that's who's advising the president. However, with
our work at the Warriors and others, we have had breakthroughs.
We have always demanded and urged the president have parents,
American parents at the table with all of this big

tech talk before you put AI in the classrooms at
that table, have the parents, have the kids, have the educators.
And again this past week there is talk of American
Family Policy Council Caucus in the House at the White House.
So we're making tremendous breakthroughs. That's what I'm talking about.
That's why what I do on WABC is so important

because it is being heard. Okay, we're not doing this alone.
There are other groups and organizations. We work with, tremendous
coalition across the United States behind the scenes, working on
all of this every day of the week. So the
problem right now I'm going to say is the Internet,
big tech has just infiltrated. It's the money and the power.
And again you point out lethargy, And I was quite

surprised when I arrived in Washington several years ago. I
naively really thought, you know, these people representing us, they
know the issues, they know how to vote, And then
I learned, no, they don't. They're overwhelmed. I'm told they
have to vote on so many different things that you know,
their staff will tell them while they're walking down the
hallway to the vote how to vote. Now, I'm not

saying this is everybody, but I could not believe. And
then when I would question and say, always thought they
knew the issues, or while they can't study one hundred
pages overnight or they can't well, frankly, I say to them,
why be in office? But that's me. I mean, I'm
not a you know, a politician or whatever you want
to call a congress person, a senator. But I say,
if you're going to represent the American public, we as constituents,

you should know your issues. So I was shocked to
learn there's a lot of you know, confusion on Capitol Hill,
and and you know what, there is lethargy and people
take the easy way out, I'm sorry to say. And
right now that's big tech offering a lot of money.

But the issue is online exploitation, and then there's sex

not the phones, but design of the programs are to
addict young minds. Increasingly sophisticated AI tools that are being
deployed faster than many safety protections can keep pace technology
right now we have seen has of course tremendous potential,
no doubt about that. But children deserve products designed with

safety in mind. Why let me say this again, because
sometimes when I say this, I can tell by eyes
that flicker people aren't really catching on. We're not talking
about whether parents. I like this. Sometimes well, parents should
do a much better job in controlling their children's screen time.
Always blame the parents.

Parents take to playbook, that's the word, a text playbook.

But parents need to explame. But they take too much
blame and too much credit sometimes with they're kids. Sometimes

terms of the taste with savory and salt. This doesn't
come by accident. So it is the design of this
on purpose, not something which hey, surprise, surprise, kids are
addicted to this. Oh no, no, no, is by design.

got the kids. We've got whistleblowers from these big tech
companies who are brave souls. We should be commending them

to kids. We've had leaked internal memos. We have the proof,

the proof from these companies. They don't care. They call
children herd animals. Americans are just dollar signs to them.
They don't care. They call children and harms done collateral damage.
So you lose a few kids. Oh that's okay, because
we are gaining power, we are making more money. And
this is all again leaked by whistleblowers and internal memos.

they want they want you addicted, they want infinite scrolling,

mean advertising. But it's crashing now. It's coming to a head.
So I've always told you, and I've told you for

a long time. I think with all that coming to
a head, I told you this over a year ago. Right,
it's going to be Ai they're going to put all
their money into AI artificial intelligence, which we've been seeing.
But now the American public is much more savvy, okay,
and they're pushing back. They don't want it. So this

a meaningful opportunity, you know, to be heard now. They
weren't heard ten years ago, five years ago against these
companies that have beyond the amounts of money. We don't
even know what they have, but we do believe right
now there is the opportunity with our government right to
hear directly from parents, educators, these whistleblowers, survivors. You know

how many parents I deal with who have lost their
children is the most horrible, heartbreaking thing in the world.
And when the parents go through the phones or the
laptops or the diaries left, they see how the children
were influenced by things they saw on Instagram and TikTok
and the sextortion and the predation. So listen, we cannot
allow our future American adults and leaders to have this

happen to them. So it's coming to a head. And
I'm happy to say that the Warriors is part of it,
But we need the American public to join us and
push back, and they are doing that right now.
