Seit den Parlamentswahlen in Polen Mitte Oktober 2023 scheint das Land ein anderes zu sein als während der achtjährigen Regierung durch die nationalkonservative Partei „Recht und Gerechtigkeit“, kurz PiS. Die neue Regierung will nun den Staatsumbau der PiS rückgängig machen und den strapazierten Rechtsstaat heilen. Doch das scheint nicht einfach, was die letzten sechs Wochen zeigen.
Wie kann der Neubeginn unter der Führung vom Ministerpräsidenten Donald Tusk gelingen? Wie steht es um die Sicherheitspolitik? Wie können die politischen Beziehungen zwischen Deutschland und Polen aus der Kluft herausgeführt werden?
Darüber sprach Arkadiusz Łuba mit Dr. Kai-Olaf Lang, dem deutschen Politikwissenschaftler und Experten für internationale Beziehungen, insbesondere in Bezug auf Mittel- und Osteuropa. Lang ist als Senior Fellow am Deutschen Institut für Internationale Politik und Sicherheit der Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik in Berlin tätig.
