Darinisha Williams, Ms. California 2020 has a Doctorate of Psychology and her mission is to empower and help young women and girls to survive and thrive!
As a Psychologist, working with children is her passion. She works with students who struggle with mental health concerns. Having overcome depression herself, her purpose is to serve others. With 60% of young adults suffering from mental illness, Darinisha's platform “She is me and I am her” focuses on mental health awareness for women and young girls. She is dedicated to being the resource she never had in school.
Darinisha initiated an organization, Think Like Royalty, Inc. which is dedicated to providing opportunities for all young girls to live a better life. The organization supports and inspires girls ages 5-18 in the areas of self-image, self-worth, goal setting, education, social skills, and more. The purpose of this organization is to encourage, empower, and educate young girls to strive for excellence by eliminating the myth that their environment and possibly their community will hinder them from becoming successful. We aspire to ensure that each young girl is successful in every area of their lives, by helping them to overcome the barriers that have prohibited them from being their best through helping them maximize their strengths and improve their area of need. We strive to create a better world, and we thank all of you for helping us to achieve that.
