Genesis 1:14-16 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the sky. These lights will separate the days from the nights. They will be used for signs to show when special meetings[a] begin and to show the days and years. 15 They will be in the sky to shine light on the earth.” And it happened. 16 So God made the two large lights. He made the larger light to rule during the day and the smaller light to rule during the night. He also made the stars.

John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

1 John 4:1-3 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world

Psalm 104:19 He made the moon for the seasons; The sun knows the place of its setting.
