How to Stay Visible Even When You Don’t Feel Like It

Episode Summary:

Burnout is real—and it doesn’t mean you have to disappear. In this episode of Living the Whole Picture, I’m sharing real talk on how to stay visible when your energy, confidence, or creativity feels low. You don’t need perfect lighting or the “right” outfit to show up—you just need to be present.

If you’ve ever struggled to show up on camera or social media when you're not feeling it, this one’s for you.

Timestamps & Topics Covered:

00:00 – Intro & Real Talk

Feeling burnout, low confidence, or just off? You’re not alone—and you're still allowed to show up.

01:41 – Tip #1: Reuse What You’ve Already Created

Tap into your photo or video bank. Reposting past content can keep you consistent without creating from scratch.

02:00 – Tip #2: Voice Counts as Visibility

Don’t feel camera-ready? Share a voice memo, write a caption, or post something scenic with a message.

02:19 – Tip #3: Behind-the-Scenes Builds Connection

Show the real moments. People love seeing progress, process, and personality more than perfection.

02:46 – Final Reminder: You Don’t Have to Perform

Visibility isn’t about being polished—it’s about being present and relatable. Rest, don’t quit.

03:13 – Wrap Up

You didn’t disappear—you pivoted. That’s what sustainable visibility looks like.

Key Takeaways:

  • You don’t need new content daily—reuse what already works.
  • Visibility comes in many forms: voice, words, images, honesty.
  • Behind-the-scenes builds trust and deeper connection.
  • Authentic presence > performative perfection.
  • You’re allowed to rest and still be visible.

(00:44):
Let's get started on living thewhole picture together.
Hey y'all, it's your podcast, bestie Jama again showing up
totally unscripted and showingup anyways.
So last week I shared how tiredI was and I just haven't got my
groove back.
It's been another week where Ijust didn't feel like showing up
, not being on camera or socialmedia or even here on the

(01:07):
podcast.
If I'm being honest, thatburnout has really been real.
I haven't had the energy, theconfidence or anything.
But here's what I've learnedover the years because I've been
doing this a long time you canstill stay visible even when
you're not at 100% and, honestly, those are the moments where
people feel the most connectedto you.
So today I want to give you afew quick tips on ways to show

(01:31):
up to serve your audience andstay top of mind, even when you
don't feel like it.
This is my favorite tip andsomething I do quite often Reuse
what you've already created.
I have a photo bank of oldimages that I can use at any
time.
You don't need new contentevery single day.
Post a favorite photo ofyourself, or reuse a reel that

(01:51):
performed well, or share a quoteyou've said before.
Visibility isn't about volume,it's about consistency.
Number two voice counts asvisibility.
You don't have to show yourface every time.
I mean, we're in spring inTexas.
Share some of our beautifulpictures.
Try posting a story with justyour voice, or write a caption
that shares where you're reallyat.
That's something that I do.

(02:12):
I share that I'm tired.
People don't just follow youfor polished images.
They follow you for you.
And number three behind thescenes really equals connection.
If you're tired, say that.
If you're feeling a certain way, share it.
If you're working on somethingbehind the scenes that's got
your attention, share a quicksnapshot of that.
You don't always need to befacing the camera, it doesn't

(02:36):
always have to be your face, butkeep it real and people will
keep coming back.
So we think that we always needto be camera ready to be
visible.
But visibility isn't just aboutshowing your face, it's about
showing your heart.
You don't have to perform, youjust have to be present.
So if you're tired or burnedout or just need a break, let

(02:57):
this be the soft reminder tostay in the game without burning
out.
Your people will still be therewaiting for you and when your
energy returns because it alwaysdoes you'll be proud of your
consistency and that you didn'tjust disappear.
You pivoted.
So thanks for being here againtoday for another short episode.
I'll see you next time.
