Episode Summary

Have you ever found yourself questioning every move you make?
In this raw, unscripted episode, Jama opens up about a late-night spiral of self-doubt, the kind that sneaks in even when everything on the outside looks “put together.” If you’re a high-achieving woman who’s showing up for others but secretly wondering if you're still on the right path—this one's for you.

She shares what’s been helping her navigate this messy, uncertain season, from long walks to letting go of perfection. You’ll walk away feeling less alone and more empowered to give yourself permission to pause, reset, and come back when you're ready.

Timestamps

00:00 – An unplanned episode: self-doubt strikes again
00:42 – Showing up for others while second-guessing yourself
01:25 – The fear behind the doubt: “Is it even worth it?”

Key Takeaways

  • Self-doubt doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you care deeply about what you’re building.
  • High-achievers often look “fine” on the outside while feeling lost on the inside.
  • You don’t need to have it all figured out to keep going—you just need to be honest about where you are.
  • Your worth is not defined by how much you produce or how perfect your content looks.
  • Pausing for clarity and mental wellness is not weak—it’s part of the process.

Jama Pantel (00:00):
Hey y'all, it's your podcast bestie Jama coming
at you once again.
Okay, this episode's a littlebit different.
I didn't plan it and, honestly,I even debated if this was the
one worth recording, but Ifigured, if I'm second-guessing
myself right now, you probablyare too.
It is almost 10 o'clock onMonday night and this will drop
Tuesday morning.

(00:21):
So yeah, that's what I meanwhen I say second guessing and
wondering what I'm doing, anddefinitely not something I
planned.
So I have once again foundmyself in that familiar spiral
of self-doubt that plagues somany of us high performing women
.
Those nagging questions keepcoming in Am I doing this right?
Should I push through or take apause?
Does my voice even matteranymore?

(00:42):
This unplanned, unscriptedepisode emerged from my
realization that if I'm feelingthis uncertainty, others
probably are too.
While maintaining my clientcommitments, because that's what
we all do right?
I've been procrastinating myown content and questioning my
own purpose.
It's that strange dichotomy ofhigh achievers showing up
flawlessly for others whileprivately wondering if we should

(01:04):
be showing up at all.
So, as I've transitioned fromjust a photographer to the "hot
mess that I am I meanmulti-passionate entrepreneur
that I am with this podcast andeducational content and the soon
to be released app.
It's a lot.
I don't necessarily question myqualifications or abilities.
I mean I know I know my stuff,but I second guess if it's even

(01:26):
worth it.
Like, will I mess up?
Will anyone want what I have tooffer?
Those are my second guessingdoubts.
So I wonder what are yours?
I know others have to have themtoo and based on conversations
that I've had in real lifelately, I know I'm not alone.
So here is me giving us allpermission, myself included, to

(01:48):
feel what we feel while we workthrough it.
So what's been helping menavigate the season of doubt?
Running long walks, gymsessions and losing myself in
books, activities that ground mewhen everything else feels
uncertain.
So, whatever your activities are, do them, enjoy them.
Give yourself the grace to justfeel and be and do.
I'm learning that, even assomeone who advocates for being

(02:09):
the face of your brand, takingthese little breaks.
.
.
It's not failure, it's essentialmaintenance.
Showing up authenticallysometimes means acknowledging
when you're not okay, whenyou're not feeling it, trusting
that real connection happens inthese vulnerable moments.
If you're doubting yourselfright now, consider this your
permission slip to pause, reflect and return more aligned

(02:32):
than ever before, wheneveryou're ready.
It is your timeline.
This isn't weakness, it's thewisest form of strength.
So how are you giving yourselfgrace during these uncertain
times?
I'd love to hear your stories.
You can always send me an emailat jama@ jama pantel.
com.
So that's all for now.
Thanks for tuning in.
I really appreciate you beinghere.

(02:53):
Have a good one.
