Camille (00:00):
These are conversations that are important to have with
your kids, your partner, oranyone else to know exactly what
is happening, when, where, andhow important it is.
So you want to make an impact.

(00:20):
You're thinking about startinga business, sharing your voice.
How do women do it that handlemotherhood, family, and still
chase after those dreams?
Listen each week as we diveinto the stories of women who
know.
This is Call Me CEO.
Welcome back, everyone.
It is time to talk about theholidays and it can get

(00:43):
stressful pretty quickly.
My goal here is to speak to youspecifically, mothers and women
who own a business and arelooking to bring down the
stress.
This is 10 tips.
I'm hoping to do it in under 10minutes.
So this is if this is yourfirst time here, let's dive in.
I'm already tripping on mywords because I'm so excited

(01:04):
about talking about this.
And I first want to say you'reamazing.
You are doing enough.
And these tips are meant tohelp you and inspire you.
So take what works for you, disregard the rest.
But I want you to know thatthese steps, if taken into
account, I hope will help you toremember and feel grounded that

(01:27):
you can still have time foryou.
And you can still have timewhere it's crazy and get things
done and do it all, even when itfeels crazy with the school
performances, client projects, the quarter four deadlines,
holiday cards, and all themagical in between that there is
time for you.
So step one, I want you to setyour holiday intention before

(01:50):
the chaos begins.
Pause and ask yourself, what doI want this season to feel
like?
Do you want it to be calm andconnected?
Do you want it to feel joyfuland spontaneous?
Do you want to feel organizedand peaceful?
Once you know that, that willhelp you to guide every decision
from business projects tofamily plans based off of that

(02:11):
intention.
You can even write it on asticky note or have it on your
planner as a reminder or even asthe screensaver of your phone,
something that you see all thetime.
And you keep that intention topof mind so that it helps to
make your decision makingeasier.
Step two is to audit yourcalendar, take a look at what

(02:32):
you have going on from Novemberto December, and highlight what
is essential.
This is for business and infamily.
These are conversations thatare important to have with your
kids, your partner, or anyoneelse to know exactly what is
happening, when, where, and howimportant it is.
It is impossible to attendevery event, volunteer for every

(02:54):
class party, or to host theperfect dinner.
Choose what is most essentialand give your permission to
simplify.
I actually have a freebieavailable in the show notes
called the Ultimate Time Audit.
It's a way that you can gothrough and actually see how you
are using your time andprioritizing yourself so that
you are not burning out.

(03:16):
Take advantage of that becausethis is actually a great time to
do that.
I'm recording this in Octoberand I'm hoping that we can get
this out to you so that you cando it sooner rather than later.
Step three is to communicateboundaries early.
Let your clients, your team, and your family know what your
availability looks like duringthe holidays.
You might be saying thingslike, I'll be taking limited

(03:37):
limited meetings after December15th, or perhaps your team will
be out from Christmas Eve to NewYear's Day or however you
decide to do that.
If you set clear expectationsearly, you protect your time and
your peace for yourself andyour family.
Step four is to automate anddelegate.
This is the perfect season tolean into systems.

(03:59):
So whether that's schedulingsocial posts, automating emails,
and if possible, delegatingthose tasks that drain your
energy.
That is also very much involvedin the time audit where you can
see what are the things thatyou could delegate that don't
require you for every littlepiece of the business.
So if you have a virtualassistant or team member, ask

(04:20):
them to take over repetitivetasks for a few weeks.
This is a good time to eventest to see if there's a heavier
load that you can release.
And maybe it's something thatyou can let go of altogether.
Remember, you don't have to doeverything yourself to make it
successful.
This is something that I coachwomen on a lot.
Are you ready to reclaim yourtime and finally focus on the

(04:44):
tasks that actually grow yourbusiness?

one, I've got the perfectsolution for you.

need to have to become asuccessful assistant without the
trial and error.

You can also grab this linkbelow and schedule a free

(05:30):
Number five is to create aholiday light list.
I want you to take this a fewdifferent ways.
I want you to think about howyou can make your load lighter,
but also make a short list ofholiday activities that fill
your heart or make your heartfeel light.
So maybe it is baking cookieswith your kids, driving to see

(05:51):
Christmas lights, or a quietnight of gift wrapping with a
Hallmark movie all alone.
Keep it short and simple, andthis is your must-do list for
joy.
So one thing that I've had atradition of for a few years is
watching the show Emily inParis, because typically that
season has been released inDecember, and that's when I do

(06:12):
my Christmas wrapping early.
And what's so fun about that isthat I can have it be a part of
my tradition, but I'm alsogetting something done and it's
something I look forward to thatI save for that special time.
Number six is to simplify giftgiving.
Instead of overthinking everygift, create a simple formula.
For example, it could besomething to wear, something to

(06:35):
read, something to play, andsomething to share.
Or I've heard of other themeswhere you could say something
they want, something they need, something they wear, and
something that they experiencewith you.
I love gift-giving experiencesto my kids because truly your
time and presence is alwaysgoing to be the guest, the best
gift you can give to your kids.

(06:56):
Step seven is to schedule yourown recharge time.
Even if it's just 10 minutes inthe morning with your coffee or
a special drink or a quiet walkafter dinner, those are moments
that you can reflect and havemeditation time or journaling or
just sitting in silence, and itcan make a huge difference.
If you are looking for mindresets for your kids, I actually

(07:17):
am a co-host and creator ofFive Minute Meditations for
Kids, where we have veryspecific intentions for creating
stillness, having some peace, and it's a great way to help
them prepare for nighttime.
There can be a lot ofactivities and things going on
during the school year.
And check out that podcastbecause we have a ton of

(07:37):
resources for helping your kidsto feel more settled too.
Step eight is to keep yourbusiness goals realistic.
You might not grow 200% inDecember, and that's okay.
The season is about maintenanceto not overextend.
Maybe this is a time that youare really pushing hard for
sales and it's your marathontime of your season.
And you know that, that youkeep it realistic, that you push

(08:01):
it hard, and then you have veryclear boundaries for when you
stop.
But sometimes it can be themost productive to rest and
reset if it is a season that youcan do that.
Step nine is to ask for helpand to receive it.
You don't have to be the heroof the holidays.
Ask your partner, your kids, your team to help share the
load, wrapping gifts, cooking, cleaning, or managing details.

(08:23):
And here's the real challengeis to receive that help, to be
willing to not only ask for it,but to receive it and knowing
that done is fun and it doesn'thave to be perfect.
Step 10 is to practicegratitude and presence before
you fall asleep each night.
Think of three small momentsthat made your heart smile.
That can be the smell ofcinnamon rolls, your child's

(08:45):
laugh, or that one moment ofquiet.
So there you have it 10 simpleways to ease the stress of the
holidays as a mom and businessowner.
Remember, the season doesn'tneed more of your hustle, it
needs your heart.
You are building a beautifullife, one that is full of love,
purpose, and joy.
And when you take care ofyourself, everyone around you
feels it too.
And today, if today's episoderesonated with you, I'd love you

(09:07):
to share it with another momentrepreneur who could use more
calm this season.
And don't forget to takeadvantage of my free time audit
that will help you to understandwhat you can do and what you
can delegate to create moresystems and more peace in your
life.
I hope you have the bestholidays ever.
